3DFX goes Internet!

Hier zeigen sich offensichtlich die Qualitäten des neuen CEO. Er hat erkannt, daß im ewigen Wettlauf um die beste Grafikkarte mit NVidia, ATI, S3 u.a. für 3DFX in Zukunft keine dauerhaften Vorteile mehr zu gewinnen sind. Daher der meiner Meinung nach geniale Schachzug, zusammen mit E-Color einen Farbgrafikstandard für das Internet zu schaffen. Was allein aus dieser Idee zusammen mit der bekannten Internet-hype für eine Power für den Kurs resultiert, shen wir heute. Wir können nur hoffen, daß aus der Idee konkretes wird. Dann könnte der Kurs ungeahnte Regionen erreichen.

Es geht weiter! Der neue CEO bringt seine (unsere) Firma wieder auf Erfolgskurs.

Die Nachricht kurz zusammengefaßt, so wie ich sie verstehe: 3DFX und Intrinsinc Graphics entwickeln eine gemeinsame API für für SPielegrafik, so daß PC-Spiele ohne Umprogrammierung sowohl mit 3DFX-Karten als auch mit Sony´s Playstation2 kompatibel sind. Dies erscheint mir bei der großen Bedeutung der Playstation auf dem Spielemarkt ein ganz entscheidender Durchbruch für 3DFX in Richtung Marktanteilssicherung zu sein

In New York ist die Nachricht offensichtlich sehr gut aufgenommen worden. Hier legt der Kurs um 12,5% auf 13 7/16$ zu.

Glaube ich nicht. Was mich aktuell an 3DFx erfreut, ist, daß der neue CEO erkannt hat, daß er alleine mit dem ewigen Wettlauf um den besten Grafikchip mit Nvidia und Konsorten die Firma nicht wieder langfristig profitabel machen kann. Er ist daher auf der Suche nach neuen Absatzmärkten für seine Chips, und ich habe den Eindruck, daß er erfolgreich sucht. Zudem hat er erkannt, daß Trommeln zum Geschäft gehört. Unter dem alten Chef gab es in wesentlich längerer Amtszeit fast nie kursbewegende Meldungen. Und schließlich interessiert mich natürlich am meisten, daß die aktuellen News von der Anlegerschaft sehr positiv aufgenommen werden, sprich der Kurs reagiert. Damit kommt wieder Phantasie und Bewegung in den Wert. Kursziele habe ich aber nicht.
