Dann muss man wohl DRI shorten!
Dann muss man wohl DRI shorten!

Drillisch Raises Freenet Stake, Becomes Top Investor (Update1)
By Kenneth Wong
Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Drillisch AG, the German mobile-phone reseller that had unsuccessfully tried to merge with Freenet AG, raised its stake in the larger rival to become its biggest shareholder.
The wireless company agreed to buy an 18.5 percent stake from Vatas International BV, Drillisch said in a statement today. The purchase would raise Maintal, Germany-based Drillisch's holding to 28.6 percent. Dillisch had the biggest jump in almost four years in Frankfurt trading.
Drillisch Chief Executive Officer Paschalis Choulidis has repeatedly said he wants to split Freenet, which also sells Internet access and Web-hosting services. Freenet CEO Eckhard Spoerr said earlier this week that a breakup of the company, with a market value of 1.66 billion euros (2.2 billion), would ``make sense'' if its separate units could find a ``good buyer.'' United Internet AG and QSC AG have both said they are interested in Freenet's Internet operations.
``If there are buyers who are willing to pay significant premiums for different parts of the business, there's no reason to keep Freenet as one entity,'' said UniCredit analyst Thomas Friedrich, who has a ``buy'' rating on the stock.
Drillisch stock rose 84 cents, or 14 percent, to 6.88 euros. Freenet, based in the northern German town of Buedelsdorf, added 61 cents, or 3.7 percent, to close at 17.31 euros.
Choulidis and Vatas Chairman Lars Windhorst couldn't be immediately reached for comment. Freenet spokeswoman Elke Ruether declined to comment when reached by Bloomberg News.
For Sale
Freenet earlier this year put itself up for sale and hired Morgan Stanley to look for a buyer. CEO Spoerr has until this week said he favored a sale of the entire company.
``The discussions with various parties have indeed shown that there is a bigger buyer universe for parts of the business than for the business as a whole,'' Spoerr told Bloomberg News on Aug. 20. ``Therefore considering a sale of different businesses to different parties might create a chance to increase shareholder value.''
Florian Homm, a German hedge fund manager who calls for a breakup of Freenet, said earlier this week that he had raised his stake in Freenet to 5.2 percent, and wouldn't rule out boosting the holding to as much as 10 percent.
