Cerro Resources NL ist nach der Umbenennung von Kings Minerals in Cerro Resources ab heute (10.12.2010) im Handel.

Nach dem Zusammenschluss von Kings Minerals und San Anton will man sich auf das ehemalige San Anton Gold-Projekt Cerro del Gallo in Mexiko konzentrieren und dies bis 2012 in Produktion bringen (deshalb auch der neue Name).

Man hat mit der ehemaligen Palmarejo-Mannschaft (jetzt Coeur D'Alene) erfahrende Leute an Board.

Scheinbar steht eine Finanzierung an.

Konditionen und Umfang würden mich interessieren. Vermutlich unter dem aktuellen Kurs (in Kanada ging die Aktie gestern um -12% zurück).

February 25, 2011. Cerro Resources NL (ASX/TSX-V: CJO) has agreed to place a total of 89,290,470 fully paid ordinary shares at a price of A$0.20 cents per share to raise gross proceeds of A$17,858,094.

The placement has been made through Patersons Securities Limited to sophisticated and professional investors. Importantly the funding will allow the Company to accelerate the exploration of the highly
prioritised Namiquipa Silver project, allow the Company to consider a further increase in the activity at Mt Philp Iron Ore post the first stage of resource drilling and to review further exploration project opportunities in Mexico.

The Company will hold in excess of A$21m in cash as at the end of February 2011...

Cerro has two geographical project bases at present: Mexico and Australia. Each country has projects at various stages of advancement and pleasingly more than one shows significant promise. With a positive scoping study completed, a feasibility study is underway. With an anticipated 14 year mine life with 1M oz Au and 11.3M oz Ag recovery, mine construction could potentially commence in 2011 with production in 2012.

Cerro also maintains an active working focus on the Kalman exploration project, near Mt Isa, Australia. An initial 60Mt molybdenum/copper/gold/rhenium resource has already been identified in a small area of this tenement package to date, and the company's exploration holdings are regarded as having excellent further exploration potential.
