tjoa, das mit dem Erscheinen von dem GC 9 am 28.02. scheint ja mal wieder einer Ente zu sein
...mann muss wohl wirklich davon ausgehen, dass wenn von Geely geschrieben wird "1. Quartal", dass sie es wirklich bis zum letzten Tag ausnutzen...
Evtl. wird er ja auch erst offiziell auf der Shanghaier Automesse Mitte April "gelauncht"....

ich habe die "Bibliothek" mal ein bischen entrümpelt....Die Verkaufszahlen der Automarken habe ich gestrichen und dafür die umsatzstärksten Typen aufgeführt (EC7, GX7/SX7/GX9 und New Vision).
Bei den Fabriken bin ich mir nicht so sicher...habe jetzt die Fabrik in Ningboh, die Geely von Herrn Shufu gekauft hat, auch aufgeführt...Geely hat da schon ne Fabrik mit 200.000 Einheiten..die gekaufte verfügt aber über 100.000 Einheiten und da soll, laut Bericht, der GC9 und GX7 gebaut werden..müssten sich also somit um zwei unterschiedliche Fabriken handeln...
Wenn jemand etwas weiß, ergänzend oder völlig neu, bitte melden ....

jupp, der GC 9, so habe ich das Bauchgefühl, wird ein Knaller...bestimmt wird der noch beim E-NCAP getestet....aber ersteinmal werden ja 50 an den diplomatischen Fahrdienst ausgeliefert...eine Limited Edition á la Volvo XC 90 (1927) wird es ja auch noch geben ....
Wo haben Volvo und Geely da denn mal wieder ihre Finger drin?!

At the start, there was no generic name. The simple glass of the car windshield started to incorporate printed antennas and heaters.
It was what we now know as “structural electronics” – one structure performing mechanical, electrical and other functions. The dumb material is no longer needed.
Fast forward to 2015 and the world’s first car with the load-bearing structure and body being integrally 3D printed is the Strati.
It has been developed by US start up Local Motors. In 2014, the company undertook a challenge to build a 3D car live on the internet. In late 2015, the first street legal versions are expected to be delivered to customers.
Clearly future models could benefit from the structural supercapacitor bodywork for cars being developed by Imperial College London, Volvo Geely of China, Vanderbilt University in the US and Queensland University of Technology in Australia.
It could use load-bearing supercapacitor printed circuit boards from Cambridge University in the UK and in-mold control and lighting electronics from T-Ink in the USA and others.
No moving parts to go wrong; just weather and impact-proof intelligent structures. Little or no dumb bodywork anymore, whether it is a car, truck, boat or a plane.
Many structural electronics capabilities will converge in the lighter, more affordable, more capable vehicle of the future.
For example, buses are already losing their “ladder chassis” and becoming “integral” often with in-wheel motors in electric versions, on the way to being complemented with structural electronic bodywork.
Meanwhile, the Strati is made from 212 layers of ABS plastic reinforced with carbon fibre. The printing process currently takes 44 hours, but the company should get it down to 24 hours.
Some of the electrical and electronic parts will be printed into the car as it is built up by the 3D printing process. Components such as the battery, motor and wiring that cannot yet be printed currently come from a Renault Twizy electric microEV.
Instead of vehicles manufactured in a huge central factory, Local Motors plans 100 microfactories in the next 10 years. Your garage perhaps?

LONDON, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese-owned London Taxi Company has been given the go-ahead to build a new 300 million U.S. dollars British headquarters and production factory on Wednesday.
The development is described as being a state of the art facility for research, development and assembly of high technology electric vehicles, including the next generation of London taxi.
The site, In Rugby, will be the London Taxi Company's new headquarters and will include a substantial research and development department, supply chain team, global sales and marketing and administrative functions necessary to support the assembly operations of the new vehicles.
Two years ago London Taxi Company became part of the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
The company says it intends to invest in the new site to help develop advanced green taxi technology over the next five years with the aim of launching a zero-emission electric powered London taxi by 2018.
The London Taxi Company is already the leading global manufacturer and retailer of the purpose-built London Taxis, now an international icon.
The company has two manufacturing plants, one in Coventry - the city where the iconic Fairway London Taxi was born - and one in Shanghai, which produces vehicles for export markets, the company said on its website.
The move to Rugby will mean the company quitting its long-established Coventry base - just 21 kilometers from Coventry - but the company views the new factory as part of a five-year investment plan, creating an initial 550 jobs with scope for future expansion that could potentially lead up to the creation of 1,000 jobs.
It is anticipated that approximately 12,000 of the specialist vehicles will be produced based each year on a single shift system.
Business leaders and local politicians welcomed the move and hailed it as a significant step forward in realising the area's strategy economic plan for creating growth in the advanced manufacturing sector.
Cllr Carolyn Robbins, chair of Rugby Council's Planning Committee said on Tuesday the committee gave their unanimous backing to the project.
"We are delighted the London Taxi Company has chosen Rugby as its new location. We hope it will attract other innovative businesses to our borough," she told Xinhua."
