–Appraise existing and future discoveries with aid of new 3D seismic
–Update third party resource report in early 2nd quarter to include new discoveries at Agete, Ekales, Amosing and Ewoi –include appraisal drilling and test results from 1st quarter

Africa Oil Presentation 3/13/2014
AOI acreage with 11 basins. We have drilled 3 basins with 8 left to go. 6 of the 8 will be drilled in the next 12 months.
3D seismic is 20% done.
News Releases:
Government of Kenya has asked for bundled news. GoK gets calls every time a NR goes out and want to minimize impact to them.
Expect news ~ 3/31 for Ekales 2 (ap), Twiga 2 (ap), Etuko 2 (ap) skidded over from Etuko 1, Emong.
Probably release every 6 weeks to 2 months.
Appraisal/Resources:
Gaffney Cline Update: Approximately May 1 and will include the latest appraisals.
4 rigs will remain in Lockichar this year completing the exploration and appraisals.
Twiga2 Development well is drilling now. First using oil based mud. All rigs doing this by EOY.
Agete appraisal well.
Ngamia will have at least 2 appraisal wells.
Amosing appraisal well is next after Twiga2. May be the best reservoir found (thickness and quality) and could be as big as Ngamia. Amosing may be used for one of 2 the EWT = extended well test in 4Q 2014. Ngamia other EWT.
1) Continuity well over the field. Longer period of time producing.
2) Interference testing = impact on other wells.
3) Injection well testing which aids recovery factors. AOI is already assuming the wells will flow water. Tullow is not making this assumption yet. Tullow should reach this point after EWT.
Net to AOI targeting 8bbn of oil. Accessing 5.7bbn of 8bbn in the next 12 months. Trying to determine what is real and what is not.
Exploration/Drill Improvements:
Synthetic mud will increase efficiency, cost and drill time. Could allow for 5-7 more wells this year. Instead of drilling 20 wells this year, could drill 30 wells. We could get 10 free wells.
Could drill ~270m/day and a former 60 day well could be completed in 35 days.
Etom Complex is the largest in Lockichar yet to drill. Will spud in 2Q.
The question with the northern most Etoms will be whether the oil (created in the south) makes it that far north.
Flank Play oil is not in the preferred Auwerer sand, but not giving up on finding here as well. There may be more oil. Structures are generally 3-5 times larger.
New Basins:
Anza Basin = Sala is currently at 1500m – right above the target. Will continue until May, possibly June. We have proven oil and gas in this block. Very near Bogal gas field. Gas in Sala is not all bad and could be monetized. GoK needs gas for power production.
Chew Bahir = Expected to be the 2nd best basin. There are 2 big sub-basins.
Shimela will spud next week. Then will follow with Gardim. A rig will stay in this basin as long as the results are positive. Sila looks very good.
Rift Basin Area = Very similar to Chew Bahir but much larger.
South Kerio = Twin/Sister basin to Lockichar. Geologically similar. Same age as Lockichar. Dyepa will spud in 2Q. Lukwa could be 1bbn alone.
North Kerio = Different type of basin. Aze will be spud after Dyepa.
Lake Turkana/W Shore = Massive prospect, up to 3x larger oil potential than any other basin. Seismic shows there is a high likelihood of hydrocarbons.
Kiboko in 3Q then Samaki probably. This basin has 2 more years on the PSA, so AOI can focus on other areas first.
Block 8 = El Kuran at 3300m. Chinese neighbors are bringing in 6 rigs. We may need our neighbors to make it commercial.
Budget/Big Boards:
Canada: by 3/31 or early April
Sweden: 4-6 weeks after Canada.
AOI’s budget will allow drilling to 3Q 2015. Keith believes AOI and Tullow will strike up a partnership with a larger company when the resources are contingent if not reserves. They want a clear path to development.
Pipeline: Expect development project to be sanctioned by the end of 2015, ahead of the proposed timeline. Working with the plan of Kenya is alone, but expect Government of Uganda will not want to lose the political battle of Kenya getting oil to market faster than GoU.
Kenya wants oil produced by 2017. Same time as when president is up for re-election.
Horn = Africa Oil 2.0
Not included in the latest presentation. Jim Phillips looking at a southern trend. The rift basins are similar to Kenya. What Horn learned on original 2 wells, plus AOI in Kenya may still pay off.
Horn is looking at many deals. Something may be available by end of March.
Horn would need to re-capitalize again. Could be back drilling under Horn again in 6 months.

Übergeordnet haben wir immer noch ein WAIT.
Seit der Verkaufsempfehlung vom 10.03.2014 ist der Kur um 3,15% gefallen.
Charttechnik:
- RSI liegt bei 47,02% und somit (noch) im roten Bereich.-
- Slow STO liegt bei 51,85% zu 66,49% und somit auch im roten Bereich. Zudem
haben wir noch einiges an Luft nach unten-
- MACD hat die Tendenz nach unten , ist aber noch im grünen Bereich.
- SAR liegt bei 8,43 C$ im grünen Bereich. Allerdings liegt der Kurs auch
nur bei 8,60 C$ und somit recht nah am Slow STO.
- Umsatz war am Freitag mit 194K nicht gerade berauschend.
Fazit:
Aufgrund der geringen Nachfrage wird der Kurs zwischen 8,00 C$ und 9,00C$ seitwärts wandern. Chartechnisch werden wir weitere Verkaufssignale bekommen, die aber den Kurs nicht weiter als bis auf 8,00 C$ nach unten drücken wird.
Positiv ist, das wir ein Down GAP zwischen 8,90 bis 8,95C$ haben. Denke das wir dieses nach Bekanntgabe der zu erwartenden News schließen werden.
Dann müssen wir einfach mal warten.
Wer noch zukaufen will sollte sich bei 8,00 C$ positionieren.

Following the new presentation, it's seems that the company decided to relinquish acreage in block 9.
Probably a direct consequence to the unsuccessful Bahasi-1 drilling in the former western part of the block (btw. a not so good sign for VEL, skier...);
So Kenya has to offer "new" onshore acreage for intereste bidders... In particular the former Block 10A with the wet gas Pai Pai (untested) discovery would be a interesting block; perhaps something for HRN??

Interessant auch, was KH wohl alles zu Horn Petroleum gesagt hat; dass sind natürlich auch wichtige News und Entwicklungen für AOC...
Es stehen wohl drei wichtige Ereignisse zeitnah an:
* ein farmout zu unseren Somali blocks
Interessant, wer da wohl der farminee wird; und wie es dort weiter gehen kann...
* Neue Blocks im Tertiary Rift System; diesmal jedoch im westlichen Zweig, südlich der Lake Albert discoveries;
das wäre natürlich der Hammer (!!) (nicht nur für HRN sondern auch für AOC); gute Blocks dort und HRN ist mit einem Schlag ein richtig interessante Aktie in der Gruppe der EARS Explorer....
* und eine Kapitalerhöhung
