TSE:MYT - MYTEC wird MPAD auf INFINEON Stand zeigen

Mytec Technologies Inc. gibt bekannt, dass man die bewährte tragbare
biometrische Technologie, MPAD ( Mytec Portable Authentication Device )
im INFINEON Stand auf der kommenden CardTech SecureTech Messe zeigen
wird.

CardTech SecureTech ist die führende Plattform für Biometrik und andere
Sicherheitsgeräte und wird im Miami Convention Center vom 2.5.-4.5.
abgehalten.

Eine Vielzahl von anderen Einsatzmöglichkeiten der MPAD Technologie wird
dort gezeigt werden, inklusive in einem Mobilfunkhandy und einem PDA
( Personal Digital Assistant ). MPAD bietet dieselben Betriebsfunktionen
wie das biometrische Modul welches von Mytec letztes Jahr für das Smith &
Wesson "Smart Gun" Programm entwickelt wurde.

Mytec`s Director of Engineering, Terry Milkie, hebt hervor, daß Mytec`s MPAD
Technologie für die Integration in OEM Applikationen schon heute verfügbar ist.

Mytec hat bereits demonstriert, daß diese Technologie fertig für die Integration in eine
Vielzahl von tragbaren Geräten ist, wie z.B. Handy`s
und
PDA`s ( z.B. Handheld`s oder Palmtop`s * Anm. des Übersetzers *).

Infineon`s Vizepräsident Bereich Security & Chip Card IC`s von Nord-Amerika
sagte, "Wir sind sehr erfreut Mytec`s MPAD auf unserem Stand auf der CardTech
SecureTech zeigen zu können. Wir verfolgen Mytec`s Technologie sehr genau und
sehen MPAD als einen wichtigen Schritt in der Anwendung von biometrischer
Authentiesierung in tragbaren e-commerce Plattformen. Mytec`s Technologie
ist ein exzellentes Beispiel für einen biometrische Komplettlösung welche
die Infineon FingerTip Technologie benutzt. Wir sind sehr erfreut zu sehen,
daß unsere Technologie und so vielen Bereichen angewendet wird.

Mytec Technologies Inc. (CT:MYT) had contributed and brought security issues to another level. Biometric technologies may have a big impact to the society if it is to be made standard. The big pop started in January 2000 and the stock price had made its way to $12.15 high near the end of March 2000. The run-up during March was due to Bill Clinton’s speech about smart guns being a possibility of becoming standard for all Smith & Wesson’s guns by year 2001. This is something many investors are awaiting to see happen. Besides the smart gun, Mytec Technologies also developed the MPAD™ (OEM Module), Network Access Security, Software Developer`s Kit and the Physical Access Control that grant faster, better security access to private places, goods and services and personal belongings. Imagine that you don’t need keys to enter your home, keys to access your car and you do not have to remember your passwords anymore to access your computer or cell phone. During the major market correction in April, Mytec has dropped to around the $5 level and bounced right back up to the $8 level, showing that there may be a positive strong upward swing in the coming weeks and months.

Final Thoughts
Microsoft has announced the acquired I/O Software`s Biometric API technology and SecureSuite core authentication technology. If Microsoft has interest with biometric technology, we may see this technology become more of a reality in the coming months or years.

Target Price
Based on the fundamentals above, Mytec Technologies could possibly trade in the $20 CAD range within 6 months.


Meiner Meinung nach hängt die weitere Entwicklung von Mytec stark von der Entwicklung an der Nasdaq ab (obwohl Mytec ja eine kanadische Firma ist). Sollte die Nasdaq demnächst wieder in Richtung 5000 Punkte gehen, könnten bei Mytec schon bald wieder Kurse von 8 Euro und mehr drin sein. Wenn die Nasdaq jedoch weiterhin schwach bleibt, wird es auch Mytec bleiben. Der Grund hierfür liegt wahrscheinlich darin, dass die Produkte von Mytec stark auf den US-Markt zielen.

Hey, ich war ja echt überrascht, als ich mir mal wieder den Kurs in Canada angeschaut habe. Wir liegen schon über 10 % im Plus. Hier in Deutschland sind ja in den letzten Tagen kaum noch Umsätze. Also, aufgewacht!!!

Hallo doc scott,

wenn du eine Internetseite kennst, die Kurse in Kanada Realtime anzeigt, wäre es nett, wenn du sie mal posten könntest. Mich erstaunt übrigens immer wieder, dass hier in Deutschland Mytec teilweise weit unter Kurs verkauft wird! Habe gerade eben nochmal Mytec für 4,5 Euro gekauft - das sind mehr als 10 % weniger als in Toronto!!

Mich würde auch interessieren, ob man seine Mytec-Aktien direkt in Toronto kaufen oder verkaufen kann und nicht immer nur über den Umweg Deutschland.

developing biometrics products that are compatible with Intel`s security software, CDSA.

This week, Intel will demonstrate its advanced CDSA security software together with Mytec-developed application and Biometric Service Provider module,
demonstrating the biometrics capabilities of CDSA at the Information Security Solutions Europe (ISSE) convention in Barcelona, Spain.

``Mytec`s adoption of HRS will allow application developers to take full advantage of the new biometrics services provided by CDSA, and will accelerate the
creation of a new generation of biometrics-enhanced eBusiness applications,`` said George Cox, director, Intel`s Architecture Lab.

``Mytec worked with Intel, on its Human Recognition Systems (HRS) security architecture extension,`` said Dr. Soutar. ``HRS is an application programming
interface allowing biometric devices to be easily integrated into medical, e-business, financial and other applications. During this collaboration, we helped to finalize
the reference implementation of the CDSA/HRS framework; created the Biometric Service Provider module, based on our Bioscrypt Enterprise technology; and
developed the Demonstration Application.``
