Kurs hat sich aber (???) nicht geändert.
Lycos steht bei 58,125$.
Das Programm ist eigentlich zuverlässig, ich
glaube hieran liegt es nicht.
Weiß von Euch jemand etwas Neues?

Lycos Asia has just embarked on Phase Two. The joint venture between U.S. Internet company Lycos Inc. (LCOS: news, msgs) and Singapore Telecommunications (SGTJY: news, msgs) on Monday launched portal sites in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong on Monday to encourage local surfing in Chinese and English languages.



The move follows Lycos Asia’s setting up portals for Singapore and Malasia in December, and it “sets the stage for the launch of India, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia in the near future,” the company said in a statement.

Asked at a Hong Kong press conference how the Greater China sites will distinguish themselves from popular local Chinese portals like Sina.com (SINA: news, msgs), Netease.com and Sohu.com, Eric Gerritsen, vice president of international business development said: "One of the key things…is our link to the resources of a global Internet company. There is no local player that can provide the service enhancement and research and development and rationalize it on a global scale."

Japan’s Home Affairs Minister Kosuke Hori called on senior delegates from the Group of Eight industrialized nations to expedite efforts to unite on combating Internet crime. G-8 officials kicked off a 3-day meeting in Kyoto on Monday to address issues such as computer hacking and the malicious spread of viruses via e-mail. The outcome of the Kyoto talks will be reflected at the annual G-8 summit in Okinawa, scheduled for July 21-23.

Japan’s Net-friendly phone craze

They’re paying to get e-mail, horoscopes, news headlines, and access to date clubs, movie schedules and downtown parking spaces. Japan has gone nutty over Web-accessible mobile phones. The number in circulation nationwide will likely exceed 10 million at the end of May.



NTT DoCoMo (NTDMY: news, msgs), which introduced the “i-mode” mobile Net access service 16 months ago, boasted 6.84 million subscribers to the service as of Saturday. Three other players - DDI Corp. affiliates, Nippon Ido Tsushin (IDO) and the Japan Telecom affiliated J-Phone group - have about a million subscribers each, or 3 million combined.

The rapid surge to 10 million Net-friendly phones should be considered in relation to the 17-20 million people in Japan who connect to the Internet via personal computer.

Giga’s earnings gig online

GigaMedia (GIGM: news, msgs), a leading provider of broadband Internet access services and content in Taiwan, said its conference call to review first-quarter fiscal 2000 results will be broadcast live over the Internet on Wednesday, May 23, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time, at http://www.videonewswire.com/GIGAMEDIA/05220/. GigaMedia began trading shares on the Nasdaq in February. Also wer sagt mir jetzt mal ob ich im Sptember wenn der Deal mit Terra über die Bühne geht, 100 oder mehr Euro
bekomme oder ob der Terra Kurs immer weiter fällt.
Ab welchem Terra Kurs wird dem Deal wohl nicht zugestimmt ??

Also bei der schlechtem Börsenlage ist doch Lycos aufgrund der Übernahme noch ein relativ sicheres Investment oder ??

Hallo, das wirklich auffällige ist, das im Moment selbst gute NAchrichten einfach ignoriert werden, und schlechte multipliziert.
Das gilt nicht nur für Lycos sondern generell.

Das Ganze dreht sich auch wieder um 180°, die Frage aller Fragen: wann decken sich die Großen wieder ein?
