Martin the Hun, wo hast Du diese Infos her?

bewertet... da MUSS jetzt mal was abgehen.

Hallo Martin the hun (wieso heißt Du so, bist Du über 2 Meter groß?)!

Also 10 faches Geld sollte innerhalb der nächsten 6 MOnate drin sein und dafür riskiere ich schon ein paar Dollars. risk-reward is the name of the game.

Sehr interessant!
Sehr interessant!
Also Vorsicht:
mfg
und bevor du aroganter weiße sagst
erst denken dann reden

Come on guys, bleibt auf dem Teppich.

inkl.

habe selten jemand gehört, der mal was positives sagt.

@J3142,

Jeder Arzt zahlt monatlich 500 Dollar an Medcomsoft.

August.

INVESTMENT SUMMARY
MedcomSoft is an early stage, high growth company that delivers software to healthcare providers. Based
on an Electronic Patient Medical Record (EPMR), the technology aims to improve the provider’s
efficiency, lower their costs, provide greater access to patient information, and enhance communications
between patients, providers, payers and suppliers.
A major technology endorsement was received earlier this year when Mayne Nickless of Australia, the
world’s 7
th
largest healthcare provider, signed a multi-year, $25 million contract with MedcomSoft.
Sales efforts in North America are now beginning in earnest, and we anticipate contract announcements
with HMOs, hospitals, distributors and partners in the coming months. Several U.S. practices are now
using the technology on a relatively small scale.
With the Mayne Nickless contract, MedcomSoft is sufficiently capitalized to execute its growth plan.
Roughly $9 million is in the bank, and the expense rate is approximately $600K per month.
While we note that the execution risks are high with early stage companies, we see strong upside potential
as MedcomSoft expands its presence in the massive healthcare software market. We rate the shares a
2 (OUTPERFORM) with a target price of $14.00.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
MedcomSoft has been developing and marketing healthcare software since 1994, and became a public
company in 1998. At the time, it was an OTC-listed stock, and has since graduated to the CDNX (May,
2000) and then the TSE (September, 2000).
Over the past 3 years, the company has been investing extensively in R&D for its new product offering,
MedWorks. MedWorks targets the massive healthcare software market, aiming to increase the efficiency
of doctors, clinics and hospitals. Key elements of the technology include:
· Management of patient histories in an Electronic Patient Medical Record (EPMR).
· The EPMR is based on a medical nomenclature known as Medcin, which is licensed from
Medicomp. The nomenclature was established and is maintained by a group of U.S.-based
researchers and is endorsed by top hospitals. It captures precise information on medical
symptoms, diseases, treatments, etc. in a precise numerical format. The data may then be
analyzed, aggregated, reported on and stored for future use.
· An Artificial Intelligence engine to guide diagnosis and improve administrative efficiency.
· The Medcin database contains over 250,000 data elements and 68 million links between these
elements. To make this data accessible to physicians and healthcare providers, an AI-based
engine categorizes the data and guides the user through it in a ‘point & click’ manner. Based on
the data gathered to date (e.g. the patient has an earache, sore throat and fever), the system will
prompt for additional relevant information and at any stage suggest alternative diagnosis and
treatments to the physician for review. When a diagnosis is confirmed by the doctor, medical
records are updated, prescriptions/lab tests are ordered, government and insurance billing
documentation is prepared, etc.
Morning Comment October 24, 2000
3
· MedcomSoft’s MedWorks product is the only software implementation of this medical
nomenclature. For more detail on the technology (and a demonstration), visit
www.medcomsoft.com.
· Based on the patient record and physician input, MedWorks will facilitate e-Commerce activity
between healthcare providers, suppliers, patients and payors. This will leverage the Internet to
provide easy and secure communication of clinical and financial data among the different healthcare
participants
MedcomSoft is emerging from its R&D efforts and is now focused on sales and marketing, focusing in
particular on the U.S. market. Support for the initial project with Mayne Nickless also requires substantial
resources. In this high-growth period, MedcomSoft has grown from 25 employees at the beginning of
2000 to roughly 85 now, and 130 planned by the end of the year.
MAYNE NICKLESS CONTRACT
Earlier this year, Mayne Nickless, a leading Australian healthcare organization with 47 hospitals and over
17,000 practitioners, signed a $25 million dollar licensing contract with MedcomSoft. While the financial
impact of this deal is enormous to an early-stage company, the technical validation and endorsement is
also extremely important.
Mayne Nickless conducted extensive medical and technical due diligence prior to signing the agreement.
Their endorsement should increase the confidence level of other prospects and accelerate evaluation and
sales cycles going forward.
Through the summer, MedcomSoft employees worked with Mayne Nickless on localization and
implementation issues, and the first 3 clinical deployments are scheduled for late October.
On the financial side, roughly half of the $25 million has been paid, with the balance due over the next 2
years. Approximately $5 million was recognized as revenue in F2000, and we expect roughly $9.5 million
to be recognized this fiscal year. We understand that there is no recourse for the payments made, and
Deloitte & Touche has approved the revenue recognition policy.
The $25 million entitles Mayne Nickless to unlimited use of the software for 3 years, and they are
encouraged to have as many physicians as possible use the software. After this, a recurring monthly fee
per physician (we estimate $400-500) will be charged. This is very significant – at penetration levels of
less than 30% (5,000 providers), annual revenue from this deal could be in the $30 million range. Further,
this would be very high-margin business.
DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY
A key emphasis for MedcomSoft is penetration of the U.S. market. A U.S. sales force of approximately
20 people has been built to focus on:
1. Direct sales to larger HMOs and hospitals
2. Signing 3
rd
party distributors to focus on smaller opportunities (clinics, standalone offices).
3. Strategic partners to leverage their channels for the introduction of MedcomSoft solutions.
Direct sales will be based on a recurring monthly fee, estimated to be on the order of US$800-$1,200 per
month per physician. As this builds, it should create a reliable, profitable revenue stream for the company.
Indirect sales through distributors will be license sales of US$30,000-$40,000, plus annual maintenance
fees of 18%. Management anticipates a 50/50 split in the early years, but it is difficult to forecast at this
stage.Morning Comment October 24, 2000

FINANCIAL HISTORY AND OUTLOOK
While MedcomSoft has been in business for several years, we consider it to be effectively a startup with
the launch of this generation of the MedWorks product. A small amount of revenue was earned from
previous generation products, but a much greater investment in R&D resulted in losses through F1999.
Initial revenue recognized from the Mayne Nickless contract in F2000 led to substantial profitability for
that year – Net Income of $2.4 million on sales of $5.7 million. Subsequent payments should ensure
profitability for the current year as well.
The revenue model is attractive, blending a recurring revenue model of subscription sales with some
traditional license deals. A typical subscription model begins with very low revenue in the early
quarters/years, and grows reliably over time. MedcomSoft’s top line should have many of these
characteristics, but is supplemented in the early years by the large deals such as Mayne Nickless. The net
effect should be high growth with early profitability.
Through its core R&D efforts, MedcomSoft was run very lean –essentially out of necessity as capital was
limited. Recent contracts have substantially increased the company’s ability to grow its staff, but a core
culture on generating profitable growth seems instilled in management.
Even accounting for considerable growth in staff and marketing efforts, we look for continued
profitability in the coming years.

VALUATION AND CONCLUSION
Shares in healthcare software stocks saw a huge spike early in 2000, and have sold off 75% plus in many
cases.

MedcomSoft ‘fully participated’ in this ride, but at current levels we think it offers substantial potential

Recognizing the early stage and anticipated growth of the company, we use F2002 (June) projections in
establishing our target price. Our target of $14.00 reflects a multiple of 25x estimated EPS blended with
5x estimated revenue. Our forecast and multiples will be reviewed as further results or contracts are
reported.
We are initiating coverage of MedcomSoft with a 2 (OUTPERFORM) recommendation and a target price
of $14.00. Again we note the volatility of the sector and the company’s limited history, but see strong
upside to warrant the risk for aggressive investors.

"We continue to enjoy the benefits of revenues generated from a major international contract that was awarded last year." said Dr. Sami Aita, Chairman and CEO. "We have a strong balance sheet which is allowing us to execute our plans for enhancing product functionality and positioning in the US market. We are very satisfied with our progress to date on all fronts:
1. Higher than expected gross margins.
2. Managed growth in staff and infrastructure.
3. Product enhancements are ahead of plans.
4. Market penetration in the United States and other international jurisdictions are progressing according to our business plans."
Dr. Aita added, "In the first quarter we continued to expand our infrastructure, our product development capability, our sales and marketing presence, while building on customer relationships and brand equity."
Outlook
"We are ahead of schedule in our product deliveries, which is allowing us to redirect our focus on the US market requirements," said Mr. Samer Chebib, President and COO of MedcomSoft. "We are making important progress in the United States with large accounts, strategic partners and distribution channels. The future financial benefit from the US market to MedcomSoft will outweigh all other national and international markets combined. We are now enjoying an enviable position, we have an advanced product, the financial resources and the skill set both at management and staff level to execute our business plan in the United States."
Spending directed at improving the efficiency of healthcare delivery continues to grow. Mr. Chebib added, "The steps we have taken in the past nine months are directed at enhancing our strength and position of leadership in the healthcare informatics industry as we prepare for commercialization in the United States. We have taken a number of concrete steps to ensure an accelerated penetration in the US market:
1. We initiated a focused campaign to enlist major value-added resellers that will sell, deploy and support our products directly to smaller clients, therefore providing an accelerator to market penetration.
2. We are well underway in our discussions and negotiations with established firms that have complimentary products and services for the healthcare providers and healthcare institutions, leveraging their customer base to deploy our products. Similarly, we will integrate their complementary products and services to enhance our offering to our customer base.
3. We are well underway in our discussions and negotiations with large strategic accounts who are considered leaders in their respective specialties, to deploy our products in their facilities, providing us with a top down approach to market penetration."

CONCLUSION
MedcomSoft’s Q1/F2001 results were in line with our expectations with revenue of $6.2 million and EPS
(FD) of $0.11. Mayne Nickless, the Australian healthcare provider which signed a $25 million contract
earlier this year, contributed the dominant part of this business (~$6 million), and is beginning to roll out
its solutions. The focus is now on executing the distribution strategy in the U.S., and we expect to hear
announcements of progress in the coming weeks. We maintain our revenue and earnings outlook for the
balance of F2001 and F2002, and our 2 (OUTPERFORM) recommendation with a target price of $14.00.
Q1 Highlights
Medcomsoft is an early stage company, effectively in its second quarter of actively marketing its
solutions. Results for the quarter were strong, as expected, based on progress with Mayne Nickless, its
lead customer. Revenue for the quarter was $6.2 million, with roughly $6 million coming from Australia.
While the workforce grew to roughly 80 people from 30 early this year, operating expenses were
contained at $1.5 million, leaving solid EBIT of 4.5 million. Net Income was $2.5 million, or $0.11 per
FD share.
Operational Progress
Apart from the financials, the two key activities, in our view, in Q1 were the implementation of the
Mayne Nickless project and the establishment of the U.S. sales organization.
Morning Comment November 21, 2000
2
After signing the deal with Mayne Nickless, substantial resources were dedicated to ensure its success.
Implementation issues (database integration, existing applications, training) were the focus of many
development and professional services staff, and we understand that the field testing is now beginning in
Australia. We believe that additional revenue will be derived from these services – $390K was on the
Balance Sheet in `Unbilled work in process’.
Moving forward, successful contracts and deployments in the U.S. will be key. A U.S. sales force of
approximately 20 people has been built to focus on:
1. Direct sales to larger HMOs and hospitals
2. Signing 3
rd
party distributors to focus on smaller opportunities (clinics, standalone offices).
3. Strategic partners to leverage their channels for the introduction of MedcomSoft solutions.
An additional 5 professionals are expected to be added by the end of 2000, with 5-7 more in the first 6
months of next year.
At the AGM, management indicated that negotiations are underway with up to a dozen healthcare
organizations which have ‘agreed in principle’ with Medcomsoft’s technology. U.S. contact
developments over the next several quarters will be key to broaden the revenue base.
Future Mayne Nickless Payments and Revenue Opportunities
Clearly the Mayne Nickless agreement has been a major milestone in Medcomsoft’s development. It has
essentially funded the company’s operations over the past 6 months and has offered a strong technical and
medical endorsement of the product.
The licensing deal with Mayne Nickless was valued at $25 million, of which roughly $11-12 million has
been received. Future payments include:
Q4/F2001: $3.25 million
F2002: $6.5 million
F2003: $3.25 million
F2003 and beyond: recurring revenue stream, based on payments of roughly $400 per physician per
month. This is very significant – at penetration levels of less than 30% (5,000 providers), annual revenue
from this deal could be in the $30 million range. Further, this would be very high-margin business.
Additionally, further development and services efforts may contribute incremental revenue opportunities.
OUTLOOK
Q1 represented solid progress for Medcomsoft, and we maintain our revenue and earnings forecasts for
the balance of F2001 and F2002. It is important to note, however, that revenue should not be expected to
grow sequentially through the quarters of F2001. Q1 included $6 million that was recognized from
Mayne Nickless, and this will not be repeated in Q2 and Q3. Significant contributions from the U.S are
expected to begin in Q3, so Q2 will be down significantly Qtr/Qtr (though up sharply from last year).
With roughly $9 million in the bank, Medcomsoft is sufficiently capitalized to execute its business plan.
CONCLUSION
While the market has been very tough on small-cap technology companies over the past several months
(and overly kind prior to that), Medcomsoft has executed well, delivering their Australian milestones,
growing a U.S. sales organization, building staff and products and, almost uniquely, maintaining
profitability. We maintain our 2 (OUTPERFORM) rating on the stock with a target price of $14.00.
