Hallo zusammen,

gibt es im Zusammenhang mit Oracle etwas Neues oder warum sind die heute so gestiegen?
Oder ziehen wir wieder nur der NASDAQ hinterher?

There are 3 major reasons why ORCL ramped today and should continue to do so.

1 - CSCO is reporting next week and the consensus is that they will report good numbers. CSCO earnings reports drive the major Nasdaq players (ORCL, SUNW, MSFT, INTC) ORCL/SUNW ramped this week because they are the healthiest of the four right now. Expect the others to ramp next week also.

2 - Software stocks in general began to perk up this week. Historically, Aug has been a SLOW month for this sector and the Nasdaq in general. EVERYONE is being told this and buyers are stepping up now hoping to get these stocks cheap before they ramp up in September. The Market NEVER NEVER does what EVERYONE says it will do. Remember a few weeks ago, almost everyone was saying the Nasdaq was headed for 4500 in the near term. Well, instead of rising 500 pts, it DROPPED 500 pts.. The Market NEVER NEVER does what EVERYONE says it will do. Do not expect such a horrible August because of this.

3 - ORCL is benefiting from the EU reports that they will pursue MSFT anti competitive practices in Europe.

If CSCO reports well, ORCL will hit 90 next week.

Just my opinion based on holding this stock and trading it for over 7 years.
