Dieser Hinweis kommt von Seymour Skinner, der selten postet aber immer substanziell. Ich eröffne eine neuen thread, weil ich denke, das der Inhalt
wirklich pfiffig ist. Vor allem die Zahl 1,7 Millionen , bzw. 1,8 Millionen und dabei jedesmal die Erwähnung "Nordic"
sind schon sehr starke Indize, daß Seymour recht hat. Auf seine Wette würde ich nicht eingehen .

Nordic pay TV provider Canal Digital on a laptop PC.

I also talked to the Managing Director of Telenor UK, David Gilmore, who told me why
the Norwegian telecommunications company has a separate British subsidiary.

Jetzt mal kurz zusammengefasst:

1. Telenor ist eines der größten TK-Unternehmen in Skandinavien und finanzkräftig genug, um den Deal mit Metabox alleine durchzuführen.

2. Canal Digital hat den Content, um iTV sofort umzusetzten.

3. Das Konzept von Zonavi scheint zu sein, die Boxen den Endverbrauchern einfach ins Wohnzimmer zu stellen, also kein werbeaufwendiger Vertrieb und keine Hängepartie für MBX.

Der Deal ist für mich absolut konkret, die Beteiligten treffen wohl bereits Vorbereitgungen einer Intensität, die auf ein sicheres Zustandekommen des Deals schließen lassen.

Jetzt heißt es wirklich nur zu warten, bis die Tinte unter den Verträgen ist (und vielleicht noch ein paar MBX Optis einzusacken).

International growth
Telenor`s international operations grew considerably in 1999, with an increase in investment activity from NOK 3.6 billion 1998 to NOK 6.2 billion in 1999. By the end of last year, Telenor had an international portfolio comprising more than 70 wholly or partially owned subsidiaries and associated companies, located in more than 30 countries. bin zu 9 euro wieder damit angefangen kleinere positionen aufzubauen und habe noch einmal bei ca. 7,5 euro nachgelegt.
vmr hat bezüglich tmtv eine menge auf dem gewissen... dieser wert ist für mich kein langfristiges investment, wobei ich mir sicher bin, dass wir hier noch einige positive überraschungen erleben werden...

Die Erfahrung sagt mir dass da eine Auftragslawine ins Rollen kommen wird. Voraussichtlich werden wir von neuen Verträgen schon nach der ipc -Medienmesse, die im Sep. in Amsterdam stattfindet, hören.

Wer bei diesem Geschäft nicht ins Hintertreffen geraten will wird in Europa nicht mehr an MBX STB`s vorbeikommen.

Der letzte Absatz sagt leider nicht wieso Telenor eine britische Tochter hat,aber man kann es sich schon denken.
Stellt sich natürlich die Frage wie Telenor UK in UK aufgestellt ist(Kunden,...).Der englische Markt ist sicherlich groß
genug für Pace UND Metabox.
Die beiden oberen Absätze sind auch nicht gerade uninteressant.

Man kann die logischen Schlüsse zu MBX vielleicht auch mal anders herum aufbauen.

Wenn Zonavi bei einer Firma 1,7 Mio. Settopboxen bestellt, dann hätte diese Firma doch den Verkauf gemeldet. Bei einer AG wäre es sogar eine Pflichtmeldung. Mir ist kein Unternehmen bekannt, das einen solchen Auftrag gemeldet hätte. Ausser MBX...

Er galt für MOBILCOM als Wunderwaffe im Kampf gegen sinkende Margen im Festnetzgeschäft der geplante Verkauf von Set-Top-Boxen
für den Internetzugang via TV.
Doch der vermeintliche Durchbruch dieser Technologie
in Deutschland erwies sich offenbar als herber Rückschlag.
Weniger für den Abnehmer der Technologie, der MobilCom
AG, als vielmehr für INFOMATEC, dem Lieferanten der
„Surfstationen“. So fordert die Büdelsdorfer Telefongesellschaft
nun die Rückabwicklung von 14.000 bereits gelieferter Boxen.
Ursprünglich wollte MobilCom Chef Schmid gar 100.000 Geräte

angenommen Telenor stellt jedem seiner 1,7 Millionen Kunden die Box kostenlos ins Wohnzimmer, heißt das, daß auch die gesamte im Vertrag (noch LOI) vereinbarte Menge von 1,8 Millionen Boxen wirklich abgenommen wird.
...also nicht ein Vertrag, der noch von der erfolgreichen Abnahme der Boxen abhängig ist (wie z.B. der Mobilcom-Infomatec-Auftrag)!

Da wird sich der S.D. sicher mal wieder über das Board bei Wfreuen. Die haben da in Hildesheim sicherlich einen heiden Spaß dabei, die ersten "Gehversuche" der W:O-Community zu verfolgen. Erst eine Verrenkung, dann bekommt einer den Hintern hoch, das motiviert, stimuliert zum ersten Stehen ; tja und dann, dann wartet alles auf den ersten Schritt aus Hildesheim, oder : es heißt "wieder setzen". Schaun wer mal. Meine bescheidene Meinung:

Erst sucht Inter-nordic eine Möglichkeit zur technischen Realisierung ihres PRojektes und als diese am 28.06. in trockenen Tüchern ist, BUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMM, Meldung am 29.06. von Telenor. Es soll ja so Zufälle im Leben geben, in denen einer einen Vertrag in Nordeuropa bekannt gibt über 1,8 Mio Boxen (darin ist wohl das angestrebte Wachstum von Telenor enthalten ??!!), und der andere einen Tag später die Absicht, seine 1,7 Mio Kunden neu "einzukleiden".
Also, und dann diese schönen Standorte europaweit - da finden wir Spanien, den Nordeuropäischen Raum sowieso und im Osten Polen, CSR etc. Und was sagte Domeyer doch: "Vertragskontrakte durch Empfehlung". Nun, wohl eine im Konzern. Dafür spricht doch alles. Auch die Mitteilung im April, daß man mehrere Abschlüsse erwarte. Also: Für mich paßt das Puzzle so ganz gut zusammen. Ein globaler Konzern, der relativ zeitgleich eine neue Marktstrategie umsetzen möchte.

Yline AG: Mini-Kapitalerhöhung für die Skandinavien-Expansion

Der österreichische Internetdienstleister Yline AG (WKN: 077930) wird im Zuge einer Kapitalerhöhung das Grundkapital um 54.249,78 Euro auf 3,310.049,66 Euro aufstocken.

Die Aktien werden von skandinavischen Geschäftspartnern erworben, das Unternehmen will diesbezüglich aber keine Namen nennen. Im Gegenzug erwirbt Yline einen Anteil an einer Gesellschaft, womit der Ausbau des ASP-Geschäftsbereiches (Applications Service Provider) sowie die geographische Expansion nach Skandinavien unterstützt wird.

Die Yline-Aktie notiert am heutigen Handelstag bei 100 Euro, dies entspricht einem beachtlichen Kursanstieg von 62 Prozent seit Jahresbeginn.

Die Zufälle scheinen mir nach den Gesetzen der Statistik und Logik NICHT zufällig zu sein

As a result of this transaction, chello broadband`s IPO, announced on 20 March 2000, has been cancelled. Norway wants web TV

TV channels join the rush to offer realtime TV on the Internet.

VG has it. TV2 will soon have it and everybody wants it. Web TV is the next big thing in Norway. And this is not about video on the net, but realtime TV. Even though it will be a couple of years before most Norwegians will have broadband, all the biggest websites in Norway are going for web TV.

TV2, Norway`s biggest commercial tv-station, has spent NOK 50 million this summer to be able to give Internet users 24 hour Internet TV.

VG and Nettavisen have already had their premieres on realtime TV on the Internet. And Norway`s state-owned TV station, NRK, says that it will commence later this year.
But as companies spend ever increasing sums of money, nobody knows how many surfers will actually pay for broadband.

Initial Public Offering of
Telenor AS

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION IN THE USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA OR
JAPAN

The Norwegian Government has today submitted a bill to parliament
providing for the partial privatisation of Telenor AS by way of an intial
public offering. It is currently envisaged that the offering will be
executed at the earliest in the autumn of 2000, but in any case before
the end of 2001.

- To ensure Norway’s position on the leading edge of information-
and communications technology, Telenor AS requires additional
capital and new impulses. The Government sees a domestic
shareholder base as important for Telenor AS, and proposes to
reduce the Government`s ownership interest to no less than 51%.
Due to the limited capital available through the domestic stock
market, it is intended that the Norwegian Government will continue to
be a long-term owner of shares in Telenor AS. The Government
stresses the importance of maintaining a strong high technology
industry in Norway. The increased international focus of the
telecommunications industry also emphasises the need for long-term
Norwegian investments, says Terje Moe Gustavsen, Minister for
Transport and Communications.

As one of several shareholders in Telenor AS, the state will focus on
issues relating to return on capital, capital structure and dividend
policy, emphasising long-term profitable business development and
the creation of value for all shareholders. The Government
underscores its commitment to act as a commercial and professional
owner. Telenor AS will be expected to generate a rate of return
consistent with those of other European companies in the same
industry and with an equivalent positioning to that of Telenor AS. The
capital structure and the dividend policy should be conducive to the
creation of shareholder value.

In connection with the first tranche of Telenor AS`s privatisation, it is
currently intended that, subject to market conditions, the Government
will reduce its stake by no less 15% and no more than 25% through a
combination of the sale of new shares issued by the Company and
the sale of already outstanding shares by the Ministry of Transport
and Communications. The Government proposes to ask the
Norwegian parliament ( `Stortinget` ) for a mandate to decide on the
exact split between primary and secondary shares, provided however
that the proportion of primary shares shall not represent more than
50 per cent of the total number of shares sold in the offering and that
the capital increase in connection with the initial public offering be
capped at NOK 25 billion. The final decision on the size of the capital
injection will be taken shortly ahead of the initial public offering. The
board of Telenor AS will be requested to give its recommendation
regarding the decision on capital structure, which will be based on the
Company`s strategic plan and the capital needs associated with that
strategic plan. The Government asks parliament for a mandate to sell
its remaining shares in Telenor AS through a combination of the sale
of new shares issued by the Company and the sale of already
outstanding shares owned by the Ministry of Transport and
Communications, so that the Government’s ownership interest
remains no less than 51%.

In accordance with the Company’s growth strategy, the Board of
Directors of Telenor AS has recommended that the Company`s
articles of association be amended to allow for a higher level of
gearing than is currently the case. The existing stipulation prevents
the Company`s so called `equity-to-total-assets-ratio` from falling
below 42%. Consequently, it can be expected that the Company`s
external borrowing programme will be extended. In the judgement of
the Board of Directors, the increased gearing will be advisable. Given
that the company has good investment opportunities, the Ministry of
Transport and Communications has found it acceptable that the
gearing may be increased.

In connection with the IPO, it will be stated that separate listings of
business units within the Company may be an option. However, the
Government also recommends that there be no sale of interests to
strategic partners in any of Telenor AS`s core business areas prior to
the intial public offering of Telenor AS.

1.1 Employee Ownership

The proposal also provides for an employee ownership programme
within Telenor AS. The structure and scope of the programme will be
structured within the provisions of the Tax Act. It is proposed that
there be no employee or management stock option plan in
connection with the initial public offering. Employees will be offered
preferential treatment in the form of a minimum allocation of shares.

1.2 Retail Offer

There will be a comprehensive marketing programme directed
towards the Norwegian retail market. Retail subscribers will be given
preferential treatment in the allocation. The Government does not
recommend that retail subscribers be offered a discount to the
institutional offer price.

2 Holding Company

The question of whether the establishment of a holding company
structure would be an appropriate organisational concept for the
Company will be considered.

3 The Management of
Government Ownership

In order to underpin the market`s confidence that the ownership and
regulatory roles of the state will be exercised separately and
independently of each other, it is proposed that, immediately following
the initial public offering, the ownership of Telenor AS be transferred
from the Ministry of Transport and Communications to the Ministry of
Trade and Industry.

3.1 Other Issues

The Ministry and Telenor have appointed DnB and Goldman Sachs
Global Co-ordinators

for the sale. Telenor AS will have its primary listing on the Oslo Stock
Exchange, and the benefits of a US listing are being considered. The
exact timing of the initial public offering, and the listing currency have
not been decided. The sale of shares in Telenor represents a
reallocation of public sector assets. The proceeds will be placed on
deposit in the Central Bank of Norway.

Nun sind wir alle Realisten und wissen schon heute das diese Betreibergesellschaften in den ersten Jahren tief,tiefrote Bilanzzahlen einfahren werden.
Nun frage ich mich in derheutigen Zeit, welcher Vorstand DARF solch ein Risiko eingehen, und welcher Vorstand kann solche Zahlen über einen längeren
Zeitraum verantworten.Desweiteren ist die Frage zu stellen,was passiert wenn man überdurchschnittlichen Erfolg hat und aufeinmal
nicht 10 Mio sondern 20 Mio Haushalte bedienen könnte. Wer kann kurzfristig solche immensen finanziellen Mittel locker machen?
Es geht hier um Marktführerschaft, es wird sich Der durchsetzen der in kürzester Zeit die meisten Haushalte für sich vereinnahmt!
Ergo müßte das Konsortium jederzeit flexibel reagieren können.
Desweiteren mit den angebenen Zielen vor Augen müßte der Investor in der Lage sein ,über einen längeren Zeitraum über
tiefrote Bilanzzahlen milde lächelnd hinwegblickend zu können.
So nun frage ich Euch , wer kann UND DARF dies?
Die andere Sache ist die, wer im Endeffekt mal für diese Konsortium benannt wird ist die eine, wer wirklich dahinter steht eine ganz Andere!!
Ich habe bei der Sache ein mehr als gutes Gefühl.

Telenor Profil: Zwar noch von Januar aber dafür in Deutsch

Düsseldorf, 19. Januar 2000 - Mit einem Umsatz von 28,380 Milliarden Kronen in 1998 (rund 6,1 Milliarden Mark) und mehr als 20.000 Mitarbeitern ist Telenor das führende norwegische Telekommunikationsunternehmen. Die Zahlen für das erste Halbjahr 1999 unterstreichen einen kontinuierlichen Aufwärtstrend. Mit 15,851 Milliarden Kronen war im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum eine Steigerung von 2,080 Milliarden Kronen zu verzeichnen.

Als einziges norwegisches Unternehmen deckt Telenor mit Telefon- und Datenkommunikation, Mobilfunk, Internet, IT und Satellitendienstleistungen die komplette Produktpalette der Telekommunikationsindustrie ab. Darüber hinaus expandiert Telenor auch auf internationalen Märkten, wie die Gründung der Telenor Deutschland GmbH unterstreicht. In den vergangen vier Jahren wurden bedeutende Investitionen in internationale Geschäfte getätigt. In Europa liegt der Schwerpunkt der Aktivitäten auf den Bereichen Satellitenkommunikation, Internet- und Mehrwertdienste, Mobilfunk sowie Internationale Telefondienstleistungen.

Gegründet wurde das Unternehmen bereits 1855 als "Norwegische Telegraphen-Verwaltung". Im Zuge des Deregulierungsprozesses wurde das einstmalige staatliche Monopolunternehmen 1995 in Telenor umbenannt. Seit dem 1. November 1994 wird Telenor unter der Leitung des Ministeriums für Transport und Kommunikation in Form einer Aktiengesellschaft geführt. Der Börsengang ist für das Jahr 2000 geplant.

Internationale Allianzen
Mit hohen Investitionen steigt Telenor in ausländische Märkte und Allianzen ein. Bei den internationalen Engagements verfolgt das norwegische Unternehmen eine dreistufige Strategie, wie Morten Karlsen Sørby, der Geschäftsführer von Telenor International, erläutert: "Wir wollen Marktführer in Norwegen bleiben und unsere starke Position in Skandinavien behalten. In den anderen Ländern Europas wollen wir unsere Position in den Schlüsselbereichen Mobilfunk, Satellitenkommunikation, Internet- und Mehrwertdienste ausbauen", so Morten Karlsen Sørby. "Außerhalb Europas werden wir überall dort investieren, wo wir mit unseren Kernkompetenzen Wettbewerbsvorteile erzielen können."

Telenor hat sich viel vorgenommen: Bis zum Jahr 2001 wollen die Norweger zu den zehn größten Mobilfunkbetreibern und zu den drei größten Anbietern von Satellitenkommunikation in Europa gehören. "Für unsere internationale Expansion sind wir auf strategische Allianzen angewiesen", so Morten Karlsen Søørby. Mit British Telecommunications (BT) hat sich Telenor einen starken Partner ausgesucht. Die strategische Allianz mit BT bindet Telenor zugleich an Concert an und bietet damit globale Telekommunikationsdienste für multinationale Konzerne.

In Deutschland steht für diese Allianz mit BT die Beteiligung an VIAG Interkom. Seit April 1997 ist Telenor mit zehn Prozent Teilhaber an dem Münchner Telekommunikationsunternehmen. Die investierten 790 Millionen Mark sind die bisher zweitgrößte Investition eines norwegischen Unternehmens in Deutschland. Die Partner VIAG und BT halten jeweils 45 Prozent der Anteile.

Telenor und BT haben gemeinsam mit Tele Danmark im Mai 1995 in Schweden das Unternehmen Telenordia gegründet, an dem alle drei Gesellschaften zu gleichen Teilen beteiligt sind. Telenordia, das sich als führende Alternative gegenüber dem Ex-Monopolisten Telia positioniert, konzentriert sich auf Telekommunikationsdienste für Geschäftskunden. Im März 1996 hat Telenordia Algonet, den drittgrößten schwedischen Internet-Provider, erworben. Ebenfalls in Schweden gehört Telenor und Tele Danmark zu gleichen Teilen der Hardware-Anbieter Internordia. Telenor, Tele Danmark und Telenordia stehen auch hinter den Aktivitäten von Nordicom, dem seit Mai 1996 betriebenen ersten kommerziellen ATM-Netz in Skandinavien.

Auch die Präsenz auf dem asiatischen Markt konnte durch den Erwerb eines 30-prozentigen Aktienanteils der Firma DiGi Swisscom Berhard weiter ausgebaut werden. DiGi ist ein Full-Service Telekommunikationsanbieter in Malaysia mit mehr als 500.000 Mobilfunk-Kunden (ca. 20 Prozent Marktanteil).

Im Dezember 1999 ist Telenor mit Sun Microsystems eine Partnerschaft eingegegangen, um sich verstärkt auf dem Wachstumsmarkt des mobilen Internetzugriffs (WAP) zu engagieren.

Schlagzeilen machte Telenor Ende 1999, als die bereits beschlossene und von beiden Parlamenten genehmigte Fusion mit dem schwedischen Telekommunikationskonzerns Telia an nationalen Interessen scheiterte. Tormod Hermansen, ursprünglich designierter CEO der Telenor/Telia, sah im Abbruch der Verhandlungen die einzig mögliche Lösung für die Regierungen beider Länder. Für das norwegische Unternehmen wird sich nach seiner Ansicht durch das Scheitern der Fusion nichts an der internationalen Geschäftsstrategie ändern. "Telenor wird nun seine Expertise in den Bereichen Mobilkommunikation, Internetdienstleistungen und Business Communication nutzen, um seine Position am heimischen Markt weiter auszubauen und auch international eine führende Position einzunehmen. Ich zweifele nicht an dem Potenzial Telenors, sich im positiven Sinne weiterzuentwickeln", so Tormod Hermansen.

Zwölf internationale Mobilfunknetze
Den Schwerpunkt legt Telenor auf den Aufbau von Mobilfunknetzen. Die ersten Aktivitäten im Mobilfunk gehen auf das Jahr 1966 zurück, als Telenor das erste manuelle Mobilfunksystem VHF eingeführt hat. 1980 wurde das erste analoge Mobilfunksystem nach dem Nordic Mobile Telephony-Stan-dard (NMT) in Betrieb genommen. Der internationale Mobilfunk-Standard GSM, an dessen Entwicklung Telenor beteiligt war, wurde 1993 eingeführt.

Mit rund 48 Prozent der Bevölkerung ist Norwegen nach Finnland das Land mit der höchsten Mobilfunkdichte. Heute hat Telenor in Norwegen mit rund 1,3 Millionen GSM-Mobilfunknutzern einen Marktanteil von mehr als 70 Prozent. Das außergewöhnliche Wachstum wurde vor allem durch niedrige Gebühren erreicht.

International ist Telenor an insgesamt zwölf Mobilfunkprojekten beteiligt. In Deutschland gehört dazu das Mobilfunknetz von VIAG Interkom. In Österreich ist dies die Beteiligung an Connect Austria, zu der das österreichische Mobilfunknetz One gehört.

Seit 1993 betreibt die Telenor-Tochter Pannon GSM in Ungarn ein Mobilfunknetz, das in der Rekordzeit von drei Monaten aufgebaut wurde und einen Marktanteil von 40 Prozent hat. Im Großraum St. Petersburg haben die Norweger das Mobilfunknetz North West GSM mit aufgebaut, das dort mehr als sechs Millionen Menschen erreicht. Das Mobilfunknetz der russischen Extel, an der Telenor mit 49 Prozent beteiligt ist, ging im August 1997 an den Start. In Irland ist Telenor am zweiten Mobilfunknetz Esat Digifone beteiligt, das im März 1997 in Betrieb genommen wurde und einen Marktanteil von mehr als dreißig Prozent erreicht hat.

In Montenegro läuft seit 1996 das Netz Pro Monte GSM; in Griechenland wurde im März 1998 das Mobilfunknetz Cosmote eingeweiht. In beiden Fällen wurde Telenor als Partner ausgewählt, da die Länder mit ihren breiten Gebirgsregionen, langen Küstenstreifen und der geringen Besiedlungsdichte ähnliche Bedingungen wie Norwegen aufweisen. Im Januar 1998 hat die Telenor-Tochter Stavtelesot im russischen Stawropol ein Mobilfunknetz eröffnet; im März 1998 haben sich die Norweger an dem ukrainischen Mobilfunknetz Kyivstar beteiligt.

Im Dezember 1998 haben Telenor und Vimpelcom eine Vereinbarung zur Übernahme von 25 Prozent des russischen Telekommunikationsunternehmens getroffen. Vimpelcom - seit November 1996 als erstes russisches Unternehmen an der New Yorker Börse notiert - verfügt über vier Lizenzen für DCS-1800-Mobilfunknetze in Russland und hat in Moskau einen Marktanteil von mehr als 52 Prozent. Mit seinen Lizenzen deckt Vimpelcom eine Bevölkerung von rund 100 Millionen Einwohnern ab.

"Network in the sky"
Neben Mobilfunk konzentriert sich Telenor auf Satellitenkommunikation. Nach Eutelsat und Astra ist Telenor der drittgrößte europäische Betreiber. Die Anforderungen der Offshore-Erdölindustrie führten schon 1976 zur Anbindung der Bohrinseln an das Netz des Festlandes über das Satellitensystem Norsat. Wenig später haben die Norweger die Satellitenverbindung mit Spitzbergen eingerichtet.

Mit den Satelliten Thor I, II und III verfügt Telenor über ein eigenes "Network in the sky". Thor III ist im Juni 1998 in den Orbit geschossen worden. Die Satelliten, die auf die Position 1 Grad West ausgerichtet sind, übertragen TV- und Radiokanäle sowie Datendienste in Skandinavien, in Großbritannien und verstärkt auch in Mittel- und Osteuropa. In Skandinavien blicken mehr als 90 Prozent der privaten Satellitenschüsseln auf die Position 1 Grad West. Im Januar dieses Jahres wurde ein Satelliten-Uplink in der Slowakei eröffnet, der TV-Kanäle nach Mittel- und Osteuropa überträgt.

Auf dem Gebiet der VSAT Satellitenkommunikation (Very Small Aperture Terminals), die für die Übertragung in Unternehmensnetzen eingesetzt wird, gehört Telenor mit rund 2.000 Netzen zu den größten europäischen Betreibern.

Das kompakte Satellitentelefon Mobiq ist eine gemeinsame Entwicklung von Telenor und BT. Über die Satelliten von Inmarsat - an diesem Konsortium sind die Norweger mit knapp 7 Prozent beteiligt - kann mit Mobiq von jedem Ort der Welt aus telefoniert werden. Die von Telenor betriebene Station Eik ist eine der verkehrsreichsten Sendestationen des Inmarsat-Systems.

Globale Telekommunikationsdienste
Deutlich ausbauen will Telenor seine Aktivitäten im Bereich Internet. Im November 1998 übernahm Telenor Nextel den führenden österreichischen Internet-Provider magnet - Internet at work, der inzwischen als Telenor magnet firmiert. Telenor ist außerdem beteiligt an Scandinavia Online (34,5 Prozent in Norwegen und 20 Prozent in Schweden) und Internetdiensten in Tschechien und der Slowakei. Seit Juni 1999 bietet Telenor als erster skandinavischer Betreiber seinen Geschäftskunden Breitband-Internet-Access über ASDL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) an.

Der Geschäftsbereich Global Services vermittelt europaweit Breitband-Kapazität und Internet-backbone-Dienste. Derzeit nutzen rund 40 europäische Internet-Service-Provider und -Carrier die zusätzlichen Netzkapazitäten von Telenor. Im September 1998 ging der Carrier-to-Carrier-Service Storm Telecommunications an den Start, der mit Netzkapazität handelt. An Storm Telecommunications ist Telenor mit 40 Prozent beteiligt, weitere 40 Prozent hält IXC, 20 Prozent Clarion.

Heute steht im Handelsblatt etwas über das UTMS-Konsortium Telenordia für Schweden, das ursprünglich aus Telenor
BT und Tele Danmark bestand. Demnach ist Tele Danmark wegen Differenzen mit Telenor ausgestiegen.

Die Den norske Bank ist nicht gerade ein Kracher. Sie hat übrigens eine Filiale in Hamburg, was irgendwie
wichtig ist, ich weiß aber nicht mehr warum.

Aus meiner Sicht ist diese Bank ein Übernahme- oder Fusionskandidat. Vielleicht wachen die deutschen
Großbanken auf und engagieren sich mal ein bißchen in Skandinavien.

Für Inter-Nordic besser geeignet wäre die Den danske Bank, das klingt als wäre es das gleiche wie Den
norke Bank, nur in einem anderem Land. Ich kann aber keine Verflechtung feststellen. Außerdem scheint
es mir so als ob diese Banken die wichtigen Informationen nicht in Englisch zur Verfügung stellen. Kann
jemand norwegisch oder dänisch?

Das Telekommunikationsunternehmen ist Telenordia, das ursprünglich aus Telenor, Tele Danmark und BT
bestand. Tele Danmark ist aber nicht mehr dabei. Vielleicht mußten die Verträge bezüglich Inter-Nordic
deshalb neu aufgesetzt werden. Über BT würde ich mich jedenfalls freuen.

per cent stake. This means that Telenor and BT will each own 50 per
cent of Telenordia. Telenordia, which commenced business
operations in 1995, is today the fourth largest telecom operator in
Sweden with more than 400,000 customers in the field of fixed line,
data and Internet for the business market and public sector. The
company had a turnover of more than SEK 1.5 billion in 1999.

Growth prospective
“During the past five years, Telenordia has expanded to become the
fourth-largest telecommunications operator and the third-largest fixed line
operator in Sweden. This is an exceptional achievement. Telenordia has
become a well recognized brand in Sweden and has shown a strong growth
potential within its existing business areas,” said Telenor’s CEO Tormod
Hermansen. “We are excited to have increased our share in Telenordia to 50
per cent. Combined with our strong position in Norway and Denmark, this
investment strengthens our position as one of the leading telecom companies
in Scandinavia,” Hermansen added.

The ongoing progress
“Telenordia is very pleased to start the new development of the company with
a strengthened and clarified ownership,” said Managing Director for the

Applying for a UMTS license

UMTS and GSM application. The Swedish mobile market, with its 8.9 million

will deliver a very strong and committed application to the Swedish

and Telenor have leading edge competence within the field of mobile network
operations. This will allow Telenordia to be able to quickly build up a UMTS

Sweden.”

HSBC has been the financial adviser for Telenor in association with the

Hallo alle miteinander!

Zur Klärung wer denn nun zum Konsortium zählen könnte nochmals
ein paar Anmerkungen meinerseits.
Wer nun dazu gehört weiß ich natürlich auch nicht.

Aber wenn man mal die Sache von einer Seite betrachtet die hier noch nicht ausgesprochen wurde
wird es vielleicht etwas klarer-eventuell.
Ich vermute einmal das das Konsortium hauptsächlich aus Norwegen gesteuert wird.
Weshalb Norwegen?
Norwegen müßte sich eigentlich durch die jahrzehntelangen Öl-und Gasförderungen unvorstellbare
Rücklagen in Höhe von mehreren vielleicht hunderten Milliarden US$ gebildet haben.
Sicherlich hat Norwegen ein Sozialstaat von dem wir hier in Deutschland alle Träumen und
natürlich auch von deren Kosten,aber ich denke wer die norwegische Mentalität kennt,der
weiß auch ganz genau das dort das Denken nicht von Wahlperiode zu Wahlperiode geht.
Das man diese Kosten locker durch besagte Einnahmen bestreiten kann
dürfte unumstritten sein.Ein Fakt am rande: versucht mal auch nur eine norwegische Staatsanleihe
auf dem Kapitalmarkt zu finden, tut mir leid ich konnte keine finden!
Nun stelle ich mal folgende Theorie auf , das hinter dem Konsortium der norwegische Staat in letzter Instanz stehen könnte!?
Welche Fakten könnten dazu führen:
1. Man muß sich Gedanken machen für die Zeit nach dem Öl und Gasboom.
2. Was noch dafür sprechen könnte ist die Aktionärstruktur vieler norweg. teilweise börsennotierter Gesellschaften wie z.B.
die besagte Telenor(51%),Norsk Hydro(51%)usw. An all diesen Unternehmen hält der Staat die Mehrheit.
3. Ein Fakt an den ich mich auch noch genau erinnern konnte. Es müßte so vor ca. 5 oder 6 Jahren gewesen sein,da lief
einmal eine Sendung über Norwegen im Fernsehen ob es das Auslandjournal war oder was Anderes weiß ich leider nicht mehr so genau.
Jedenfalls wurde dort auch die Thematik angesprochen was man denn mit dem ganzen Geld mache und wie man sich die Zeit nach
dem Öl und Gasboom vorstellen könne.Dort wurde dann auch dazu ein hoher Mitarbeiter aus einem Ministerium befragt.
Dieser Mitarbeiter sagte sinngemäß das man sich niemals auf irgendwelche Finanzspielereien einlassen werde, lieber halte
man das Geld für Nullzinsen zurück als das man das kleinste Risiko eingehen würde, aber die Zeit wird kommen in der wir auch
unser Geld in zukunftsträchtigen Investitutionen stecken werden, wobei wir da nicht in Jahren sondern Jahrzehnten denken.

Vielleicht ist die Zeit ja jetzt reif dafür. Aber ich denke jedenfalls sollte es so sein wie beschrieben dann machen die Norweger es,
aber dann auch richtig und mit vollem Einsatz.
Das man es natürlich nicht so gerne sieht das vielleicht ein Staat an einem größeren Unternehmen die Mehrheit hält dürfte wohl
einleuchten, aber da gibt es ja wohl genug Möglichkeiten dies zu vertuschen.Außerdem würde es nicht der norweg. Mentalität entsprechen,
das man so in der Öffentlichkeit steht und das der Verdacht entstehen könnte man hätte viel Geld,denn Geld zu haben ist als
