LONG BEACH, Calif., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hartcourt Companies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: HRCT; Frankfurt: HCT), www.hartcourt.com, today announced that Mr. Duc Duong has been appointed Chief Technology Officer of Hartcourt. Mr. Duong obtained his BS and MS degree in Computer Science from University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and since then, has been specializing in building network infrastructure for E-Commerce and managing data centers and Web farms for online transactions. Mr. Duong was Director of Technology for NetCount and Americast; as well as Operation Manager for Intertainer, the well-known Video-On-Demand research firm.
His expertise are in writing programs for designing RDBMS databases, E-commerce, information servers such as OpenMarket, Dynamo and Netscape products. He is also experienced in Unix-related software from kernel tuning, scripting, optimizing, quick fix, compilers and network security.
Dr. Alan Phan, Chairman & CEO of Hartcourt, said: "We are building a new team for our expanding operations.
