CDV Software Entertainment mit neuen Produktionen

Die sprunghaft gestiegene Anerkennung in der gesamten Branche hat CDV Software
Entertainment AG, spezialisiert auf interaktive Medien, insbesondere
Computerspiele, konsequent genutzt, um drei neue Produktions- und
Publishingverträge im Umfang von über DM 5 Mio. mit gesuchten,
hochtalentierten Entwicklerstudios abzuschließen.

Dabei handelt es sich um Psychotoxic, ein Technothriller und "3D- Ego-Shooter"
der NuClear Vision Entertainment aus Braunschweig, Himmel und Hölle, ein
"God-Game" mit EchtzeitStragie-Elementen für den PC und Microsofts mit
Spannung erwartete "Xbox" von MadCat Interactive Software aus Zweibrücken
sowie ein "Role Playing Game" DevineDevinity von Arrakis NV-Larian Studios aus
Belgien. Das Erscheinen aller drei neuen Titel ist zusammen mit anderen schon
angekündigten für 2002 geplant und soll mindestens DM 25 Mio. der insgesamt
geplanten DM 70 Mio. Umsatz bringen.

In 2001 werden die bereits bekannten Titel Sudden Strike US-Version, Cossacks
Auslandsversionen, Explomän, Geheimnis der Druiden, Vyruz, Alcatraz, War
Commander und ein umfangreiches Sudden Strike-Add on veröffentlicht. "Nie
zuvor konnten wir die Produktion einer ganzen Pipeline so vielversprechender
Titel finanzieren", stellt Wolfgang Gäbler (CEO) dazu fest und fügt hinzu,
damit rücke das Motiv des Börsengangs in deutlich greifbarere Nähe, zu den
internationalen Marktführern im schnellst wachsenden Teilsegment der Medien-
Märkte aufschließen zu können. Und zwar ohne dass die Produkte erst noch
erfunden, die Märkte erst noch entstehen und in der vagen Hoffnung darauf
Marketing-Millionen "verbrannt" werden müssen.

In 2000 konnte CDV unter anderem mit dem in den Deutschen Charts über mehrere
Wochen an Patz 1 gelisteten Hit Sudden Strike ihren Marktanteil bei PC-
Spielen in Deutschland gegen internationale Marktführer in der Spitze auf 19%
steigern (Mediacontrol). Daneben hat CDV über Partnerunternehmen weltweit ein
umfassendes Vertriebsnetz aufgebaut, das zukünftig auch die breite
internationale Auswertung ihrer Intellectual Property ua. in USA, Kanada,
England, Frankreich, Benelux, Skandinavien, Griechenland, Japan, Taiwan,
Korea, China, Hongkong, Singapur, Malaysien, Brunei, den Philippinen,
Indonesien und Thailand ermöglicht.

CDV Software Entertainment announces new productions

CDV Software Entertainment, a specialist in interactive media focussed on
computergames, has strategically used its significantly increased recognition
by the industry to close three new production and publishing deals amounting
to more than DM 5m with well respected and top talented development studios.

This is Psychotoxic, a technothriller and "3D-ego-shooter" from NuClear Vision
Entertainment in Braunschweig, Himmel und Hölle, a "god-game" with realtime-
strategy elements for PC and Microsofts excitingly anticipated "Xbox" from
MadCat Interactive Software in Zweibrücken as well as the "role playing game"
DivineDivinity from Arrakis NV-Larian Studios in Belgium. The release of all
three new titles is scheduled for 2002 together with others already announced
and shall account for at least DM 25m out of the DM 70m sales forecasted in
total.

In 2001 the scheduled titles Sudden Strike US version, Cossacks foreign
versions, Explomän, Mystery of the Druids, Vyruz, Alcatraz, War Commander and
a featuring Sudden Strike-add on will be published. "Never before we were
able to fund the production of an entire pipeline of such exciting titles",
states Wolfgang Gäbler (CEO). He adds, the motive of the IPO to close up to
international market leaders in the fastest growing segment of the media
markets comes closer into sight. And this is without products that still need
to be invented, markets that still need to develop and marketing millions that
need to be burned in that perspective.

To a good extent due to its hit title Sudden Strike that has climbed German
charts to rank 1 for several weeks during year 2000 CDV has achieved a peak
market share of 19% on PC games in Germany (Mediacontrol). On top CDV has
built a worldwide distribution network through business partnerships, that
allows exploitation of its Intellectual Property amongst others in the USA,
Canada, England, France, Benelux, Scandinavia, Greece, Japan, Taiwan, Korea,
China, Hongkong, Singapur, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Indonesia and
Thailand.
