Für mich ist der Wert ein klarere Kauf.Durch die starke Positionierung in Lateinamerika und durch den hervorragenden Partner Telefonica besitzt TRRA eine hervorragende Zukunft.
Nicht umsonst wird sie die AOL Südamerikas genannt, schon jetzt kommen annähernd 100.000 neue Trra-Nutzer monatlich hinzu.
Das Potential in Südamerika für einen IT-Provider ist sehr groß und der Markt steht erst am Anfang.Wer sich in diesem Marktsegment auskennt, weiß das eine dreistellige Bewertung nur eine Frage der Zeit ist.
Und ein Steve Harmon hat diesen Wert ganz bewußt in seine Top10 2000 aufgenommen,schließlich will er seine Performance halten bzw. schlagen(355%).

Hallo Jackman, heute sehen wir erhebliche Gewinnmitnahmen, also Schnäppchenpreise.
Ich bin leider schon bei 60 rein, sonst hätte ich heute zu Schnäppchenpreisen (56$)gekauft, schon interessant, für welche Preise manche bereit sind, diesen Wert zu verjubeln.
Naja mir ist es egal, ich betrachte TRRA als Mittel oder Langfristanlage und in welche Richtung des Charts weist ist nicht zu übersehen.

das ist ja ein recht einsamer Dialog, den Ihr hier führt.
Allerdings ist Terra sicher ein Wert über den es nicht viel
zu sagen gibt.
Einfach liegenlassen.
Ich bin im Schnitt bei 35,7 eingestiegen und habe beschlossen mich
nicht mehr besonders drum zu kümmern.
Das Potential, welches der spanische,lateinamerikanische sowie der
spanischsprachige Teil des US-Marktes eröffnen, ist m.E. immens.
Terra hat sicherlich allerbeste Chancen sich in herausragender Stellung
auf diesen Märkten zu positionieren.

Übrigens haben sie sich heute in US ja auch sehr wacker gehalten,

heute steht in "der aktionsbrief", daß im Juli 2000 in Madrid der spanische "Neue Markt" startet. Als einer der ersten Kandidat gilt Terra.
Ich habe auch mal ein paar gekauft. Melde mich in 3 Jahren wieder und hoffe auf eine gute Performance.

Auch ich bin in Terra Networks investiert. Meines Erachtens ist es ein Unternehmen, dass seinen Aktionären in den nächsten fünf Jahren noch sehr viel Freude machen wird. Dafür spricht:

1. Der Markt, in dem Terra tätig ist, hat ein sehr großes Potential. Und Terrra wächst schon heute wie verrückt. Der große Boom steht jedoch erst noch aus...

2. Die enge Verbindung zur Mutter Telefonica und die vorzügliche Kapitalausstattung von Terra schaffen beste Voraussetzungen, um im lateinamerikanischen Markt zu reüssieren.

3. Insbesondere die spanische Sprache und der spanische Kulturkreis dehnen sich immer weiter aus. Besonders interessant ist, das beispielsweise die in den USA lebende spanischsprachige Bevölkerung via Internet angesprochen werden kann. Ihr Anteil an der Gesamtbevölkerung in den Staaten wächst unaufhaltsam. Deshalb sind sie auch für die Wirtschaft eine immer bedeutendere Zielgruppe. Hieraus läßt sich auch für Terra viel Kapital schlagen.

4. Terra betreibt erfolgreiche Marktsegmentierung. Neben Spanien gibt es unter anderem in Peru, Argentinien, Brasilien, Mexiko, Chile und Guatemala einen eigens auf die nationalen Besonderheiten zugeschnittenen Internetdienst.

hilf mir mal bitte auf die Sprünge, ich versteh den Sinn Deines Postings in diesem Thread nicht ganz.
Ich denke Du hast Dich im Thread vertan.
Aus den bisherigen Postings hier läßt sich denke ich deutlich ersehen, daß alle Terra für einen Wert halten bei dem es sich möglicherweise um einen der künftigen Wachstumswerte im Bereich I-Net handelt.
Ich gebe dir insofern recht, daß Börse etwas mit Geduld zu tun hat.
Und in punkto TRRA halte ich es für möglich, daß unser aller Geduld reich belohnt wird.
Dies meine ich lohnend über vermutlich Jahre gesehen, nicht nur von einem Freitag bis zum nächsten Montag.

Mit TRRA kann man sicher auch traden, auch wenn da andere Aktien mehr hergeben, nötig ist das aber sicher nicht. Die Performance wird sich unterm Strich m.E. sehen lassen können.

Um Himmels Willen,
hätte ich beinahe vergessen,
tja,
in US war es dann heute leider nicht ganz so doll-Schlußkurs bei
52 3/8-, auch wenn ich in diesem Fall nicht glaube, daß die NASDAQ-Bewertung das Entscheidende ist.
Möglicherweise wird also morgen, oder besser heute der Kurs in D, zumindest eingangs, dementsprechend etwas nachgeben.
Ich wünschte mir etwas mehr Liquidität zum Aufstocken.
Leider nicht vorhanden...

Hallo an alle Terraner!

Also meine Meinung:

Ich bin auf Trra gestoßen als die GlobalNetInvestor die Trra ins Musterdepot genommen hat.
(Bei 50 Euro). Ich hab dies nicht nachvollzogen. Der Aktionär hat ebenfalls über Terra berichtet,
habe ich ebenfalls nicht nachgemacht, habe die Terra jedoch verfolgt.
Ich bin am Montag zu 60 Euro rein und bereue den Kauf nicht, denn die STARKE Korrektur
ist FAST(bis auf gestern) an Terra spurlos vorbei gegangen. Ich führe disen Verlauf auf den
Steve Harmon BoNuS zurück, wonach diese Aktien steigen, aber wenig fallen. Wer sich die
alten Empfehlungen ansieht, weiß was ich meine....Beim nächsten I-net-Boom werden diese Werte stark profitieren.
Der Euro Kurs ist immer höher als der Nasdaq-Kurs was ein steigendes Interesse signalisiert.
Die Story kennt ihr ja alle. Mich stört NUR, daß es doch ein Internet-Provider ist, von denen
ich nicht viel halte.
Egal ich werde die Terra wie Steve Harmon sagte ein JAHR halten. Mein Kurzziel ist 100-200 Euro.

Doch bei Steves Empfehlungen ist mir Terra besonders durch den spitzenmäßigen Chart ins Auge
gefallen. Sieht doch SPITZE aus, auch nach dem gestrigen Einbruch. Ich denke dies wird heute
ausgeglichen und es kann dann weiter gehen. Der Kurs mußte sich einfach mal erholen, um dann
wieder loslegen zu können.
Zu der Liquidität: Die Terra wird in D sehr gut gehandelt, sprich es gibt wenige Verkäufer und wenn
jemand verkauft ist dies relativ teuer.
Das Risiko ist sehr gering. Es müßte schon mit dem Teufel zugehen, wenn der Kurs in einem Jahr niedriger ist als jetzt.

Die Angabe zum "Neuen Markt" in Madrid zitiere ich aus der Ausgabe 1/00:

"Im Juni startet der nächste Neue Markt in Madrid. Erster Kandidat ist.... TERRA NETWORKS. Aber auch der Anbieter von elektronischen Reisereservierungssystemen AMADEUS sowie der Internetprovider JAZZTEL sind erse Kandidaten für das neue Börsensegment...."

Übrigens hat man AMADEUS (WKN: 926 525) in das Musterdepot aufgenommen.

Soviel dazu ... jetzt aber bis in 3 Jahren

zuerst freu ich mich natürlich genauso wie ihr, über die terra-kurse.
dabei muß ich dazu sagen, daß ich die terra auf diesem board bereits ende november mit einem kurzfristigen kursziel von 80,- empfohlen habe, und daraufhin von einer menge "experten" ausgelacht wurde.
für alle die mir folgten, freu ich mich. den anderen kann ich auch nicht helfen. auf alle fälle, bleibt dabei. das ist längst noch nicht alles.

Hoffe einen schönen Börsentag gehabt zu haben.
Da dieser Thread so nett ist, poste ich auch mal was.

Ich verfolge TRRA seit Mitte Dez., wollte die Reaktion auf die Harmon-Empf. abwarten und hab den Einstieg verpasst, da ich einen kleinen Rücksetzer abwarten wollte.
Freitag bot sich mir die Gelegenheit dann doch, da ich fast sekundengenau die Empfehlung von Merril Lynch auf dem Monitor hatte. Sofort ging die Order raus und ich war noch erfolgreich bei 81,60 Euro, da Deutschland immer etwas langsamer ist als USA. Schlusskurs USA 94,..$ :-)
Wäre zwar auch lieber bei 60 eingestiegen, aber in ein paar Monaten kratzt mich das wohl nicht mehr. Jetzt bleiben sie erstmal liegen, aber ein Auge habe ich doch täglich(!) drauf. Internetwerte können immer überraschende Kursstürze haben (Sommer!?).

FOCUS - Spain`s Terra bids for U.S. Hispanic Web
market

NEW YORK, Jan 19 (Reuters) - High-flying Spanish Internet company Terra Networks SA (NasdaqNM:TRRA - news)
launched a U.S. Web network Wednesday aimed at dominating the online market among the United States` 31 million
Hispanics.

Chief Executive Juan Perea told a news conference that expanding into the world`s biggest Internet market was key to the
company`s strategy.

``We believe that we can here be placed in the No. 1 position in ... Internet services to Hispanics in a short period of time,`` he
said.

The Terra move is a challenge for StarMedia Networks Inc. (NasdaqNM:STRM - news), the top U.S. Hispanic media
network. The U.S. Hispanic market is the fifth-biggest in the world and has a purchasing power of more than $450 billion, Terra
said in a statement.

Terra, majority owned by Spanish phone company Telefonica de Espana (NYSE:TEF - news), has seen its stock soar since it
started public trade in an initial public offering two months ago.

Perea said a recent surge had made Terra the biggest European Internet company in terms of market capitalization and the
fifth-biggest in the world.

Its American Depositary Receipts have risen almost eightfold since the offering. They were off 5-3/4 at 94-1/4 in New York
Wednesday.

Terra already has established networks of Web sites in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Guatemala as part of
a $600 million buying spree.

Perea said Terra and its partner, U.S. long-distance telecommunications company IDT Corp (NasdaqNM:IDTC - news), were
aiming their new network of Web sites at the Spanish-speakers in the United States.

The sites include channels for news, sports, entertainment, science, chat rooms, business, employment services for professionals
and immigration news.

Terra holds 51 percent of the Web site network and IDT the rest.

Terra and IDT`s alliance will soon include Internet access services with about 45,000 customers. Terra has 90 percent of the
access services business and IDT, based in Newark, N.J., holds the remainder.

IDT Chief Executive Howard Jonas said the access services business could reach 1 million customers within 18 months.

Terra will spend between $65 million and $85 million this year to market the service in the United States.

Perea said the United States would account for about 20 percent of company revenues in three to four years. If the goal is
reached, the United States would be Terra`s second-biggest revenue generator just behind Brazil.

Terra aims for Hispanic connection

MADRID, Spain -- If Juan Perea is right, the next new thing to hit the Internet won`t come from a garage in Silicon Valley. It`ll spring from a turquoise-accented, faux Greek temple in an office park outside Spain`s capital.

This is the home of Terra Networks, Europe`s answer to Internet fever and the continent`s largest Net company in terms of market capitalization.

With only 9% of Spaniards online, Spain is about the last place you`d look for an Internet powerhouse. After all, this is a country known for Picassos, not portals.

But when Terra went public in November, brokers dubbed the resulting uproar the terramoto, or earthquake. The tiny company, whose Nasdaq shares have more than quadrupled in value since, is valued at more than $27 billion. Pretty good for a 14-month-old outfit that won`t see its first dollar of profit for at least three years.

What are investors thinking? Just that Terra could be (italic)the(/italic) play on bringing the Internet to folks who speak something other than English. The company, a spinoff from Spanish and Latin American telecommunications giant Telefonica, is targeting the 550 million Spanish speakers worldwide -- including an estimated 31 million in the USA.

"The big players have not addressed in a big way the U.S. Hispanic segment," says Terra CEO Perea, who was in New York on Wednesday to officially launch the U.S. network. " We feel there`s still room for us to attack."

Over the next decade, Hispanics are expected to be the fastest-growing slice of the American pie. By 2010, they will be nearly 44 million strong, a 39% gain from today. The Spanish-speaking Internet audience is "where the English-language Net was three or four years ago. It`s going to develop fast," Yankee Group analyst Beate Groeger says.

Perea, 36, an investment banker by training, had never used the Internet when he left Bankers Trust at the end of 1996 for a job with Telefonica, which established Terra Networks as a subsidiary at the end of 1998.

But he`s learned fast. Through swift acquisitions, Terra has become the No.1 Internet service provider in Spain, Chile, Peru and Guatemala and is No. 2 in pivotal Brazil and Mexico. In the USA, Terra will sell access through IDT, a long-distance telecommunications company based in Hackensack, N.J.

Thanks to its Telefonica links, the company starts with access to 54 million customers in the Hispanic world. Terra also makes money from advertising and e-commerce on the Spanish- and Portuguese-language portals it operates in those countries.

Hunt for markets is on

True, the numbers -- a worldwide customer base of 1.1 million and about $17 million in annual revenue -- are Lilliputian by America Online standards. But as Internet penetration in the Web-saturated USA flattens, companies seeking rapid growth must turn to less-developed markets. That`s why AOL has expanded into Europe and Latin America. That`s why Terra is going after Spanish speakers wherever they reside.

The growth potential is enormous. In Mexico, today`s 1 million Net users (1% of the total) are expected to reach almost 5 million in three years, according to Jupiter Communications. Argentina is likely to see a similar mushrooming. Brazil`s online cohort should more than double to 7.5 million over the same period.

Still, Latin America isn`t North America. Many homes don`t have phones, let alone computers and modems. Transportation networks can be problematic, rendering speedy deliveries difficult or impossible.

So Terra is deliberately eschewing a mass-market approach in favor of a precision appeal to the most prosperous one-fifth of Hispanics. These urbanites are people with Third World addresses but first world lifestyles.

"Remember, the Internet is all about focusing," says Gary Arlen, a Bethesda, Md.-based consultant.

To date, the Net`s pronounced Anglo tilt -- an estimated 96% of the Web is in English -- may have discouraged Spanish speakers from logging on. About half of all U.S. households are online, but among Hispanics, the proportion is somewhere between one-fifth and one-third.

Terra aims to combat that disparity with a "global-local" solution providing targeted Spanish- and Portuguese-language content for audiences in eight countries, including the USA. AOL offers the masses Motley Fool investment tips and chats with Rosie O`Donnell. Terra will give U.S. Hispanics immigration forms and Jennifer Lopez.

Dealing with differences

But with Hispanic populations split among five different words for "straw," it`s not as easy as translating existing English-language material into Español, says Terra content chief Rafael Bonnelly. The former Spanish-language newspaper editor says what works in Chile won`t necessarily appeal to Argentines, Mexicans or American Latinos.

"Our Brazilian product doesn`t have anything to do with our Mexican product, other than it`s under the same brand," he says. " Our U.S. product is not targeted to Latin America. It`s targeted to the U.S."

Last week, drawing on its alliance with content providers such as The Miami Herald, Terra`s U.S. portal had extensive coverage of the story of Elian Gonzalez, the 6-year-old Cuban boy at the center of a dispute between Washington and Havana. Terra`s Spanish and Chilean sites were more interested in the extradition saga of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet.

Perea has a clear strategy, but he concedes success is far from guaranteed. Terra must unite newly acquired Latin American Web sites under its own multicolored brand. Plus, it faces competition from, among others, StarMedia, Quepasa.com, Yupi.com, Prodigy and AOL, which recently launched service in Brazil.

Almost two-thirds of U.S. Hispanics are of Mexican origin. But with sizable groups from each of the countries Terra is targeting, the USA represents an important test.

"The U.S. is a keystone area for us," says Enrique Rodriquez, who oversees Terra`s Internet access business. "There are almost as many Spanish-speaking people in the U.S. as in Spain."

Questions loom

Still, there are questions about what proportion of U.S. Hispanics want their Net with a Spanish accent. About two-thirds of third-generation Hispanics speak English exclusively, according to Pepperdine University`s Gregory Rodriquez.

It`ll also be an additional three months at least before Perea has assembled a Spanish-speaking team of Americans to honcho Terra`s U.S. operations. Hiring was slowed by his inability to offer stock options until Terra`s IPO in November.

Terra also is under pressure to make an acquisition in the USA to match the Internet companies (and their customer rosters) that it has purchased in Latin America. The company confirms it is actively considering possible U.S. purchases.

So will Perea prove to be a Quixote or a conquistador? He thinks he knows the answer: "There`s no reason not to believe that one of the largest Internet companies in the world will be one serving the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking market."

Für TRRA ist langsam die Zeitpunkt zum Nachkaufen oder Einstieg gekommen. Das GAP von letzter Woche im Chart zwischen 81-95€ wurde geschlossen, ein Risiko bis 78€ ist noch vorhanden (weiteres GAP), aber das ist gering.

Nach dem Anstieg sind die augenblicklichen Gewinnmitnahmen normal und die Fonds werden nach der Aufnahme in den IBEX an TRRA nicht vorbeikommen. Wenn der Markt insgesamt wieder ansteigt, ist TRRA sicher vorne mit dabei.

Also, kein STück aus der Hand geben und bei Schwäche nachkaufen.

Spanische Telefonica will das Internet erobern

In einem Schachzug, der die Börsen der Welt überraschte, hat sich die spanische Telefongesellschaft Telefonica mit der Großbank BBVA (Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria) zusammengetan. Die beiden Unternehmen schlossen eine "weltweite strategische Allianz", die sich auf das Internet, E-Commerce, Mobiltelefone und elektronische Zahlungsformen erstrecken soll.

Durch die Zusammenarbeit der beiden Firmen entsteht die größte Zusammenballung wirtschaftlicher Macht, die es in Spanien je gegeben hat. Telefonica und BBVA sind die beiden Unternehmen mit den höchsten Börsenwerten und den größten Gewinnen in Spanien. Ähnlich wie beim Deal zwischen AOL und Time Warner gehen zudem zwei Unternehmen zusammen, die in völlig unterschiedlichen Branchen arbeiten. Offensichtlich zwingt die erwartete rapide Entwicklung der Internet-Ökonomie die betroffenen Firmen zur Suche nach mächtigen Kooperationspartnern -- (fast) egal, woher sie kommen.

Ziel der Allianz ist es nach Äußerungen der beiden Partner, das Internet zu erobern. Die Portfolios der beiden Unternehmen bieten dafür gute Voraussetzungen: Geschäfte in so unterschiedlichen Branchen wie Finanzen, Industrie, Fest- und Mobilfunk-Netzen sowie klassischen Medien gehören dazu. Die neue Allianz verfügt beispielsweise über wesentliche Anteile an drei großen privaten TV-Sendern in Spanien, aber auch an Zeitungen bis hin zur Financial Times.

Das Zusammengehen mit der BBVA ist für die Telefonica aber offensichtlich nicht nur eine Expansion in neue Märkte. Laut dpa war die Telefongesellschaft in letzter Zeit unter Druck geraten, da nach der Fusion von Mannesmann und Vodafone andere Gesellschaften begehrliche Blicke auf die Spanier warfen. So soll unter anderem die British Telecom versucht haben, massiv Telefonica-Aktien zu kaufen. Die Kooperation mit der BBVA dürfte somit auch eine Verteidigung gegen eine feindliche Übernahme durch Unternehmen sein, die sich im Kampf um die globalen Telefon- und Internet-Märkte eine bessere Ausgangsposition verschaffen wollen.

BBVA and TERRA have reached an agreement to jointly develop new Internet services and applications. As a consequence of the agreement, Terra acquires 20% of the share capital of Uno-e bank, which was 100% owned by BBVA until now. Terra will increase its participation to 35% in accordance with existing legislation.

At the same time, TELEFONICA, S.A. and BBVA have agreed that BBVA acquires 3% of the share capital of TERRA. The investment, 81.5 billion pesetas, has been done through a securities application. This agreement positions BBV as a reference shareholder of TERRA

Heute Mittag gg. 14.00 Uhr kam ein Beitrag in NTV über Telefonica und Terra Networks.
Ich hab leider nur mit einem Ohr zuhören können. Es war die Rede davon, daß Telefonica zu 2/3 Dritteln an Terra beteiligt ist und es wurde auch ein Kursziel von Telefonica von 40 Euro (heuer in FFM 31 Euro)

Wer hat den Beitrag gesehen und kann das bestätigen, weil das würde ja bedeuten, daß es mit Terra um einiges noch nach oben geht.

Terra waits strong increase in users

MADRID, 1 mar (Reuters) - Terra Networks < TRR. MC > hopes to have seven million users in the year 2001, a figure six times superior to their
current number of clients, analysts that participated this afternoon in a
conference call with the company said. The analysts said that the executives of Terra--including Juan Villalonga, the president of Telefónica < TEF. MC>--they also said that they will throw portals and access soon to Internet for the whole American market. Terra has already started a portal for the Spanish-speakers in USA and he/she waits a very good welcome from the beginning. Villalonga said in the conference call that Terra wanted to become one of the three main portals of Internet in USA. "It is an ambitious objective. It means that Terra would be located directly behind America Online < AOL. N > and Yahoo < YHOO. OR >", Jesus Gómez said, an analyst of Internet of BSCH. The executives of Terra pointed out that the number of clients would reach the three millions in the 2000 and enter six seven millions in the 2001, according to the analysts.

Of the clients, around 2/3 will welcome to the gratuitous offer, and the rest will opt for the services of payment access. In the year 2000, the 60 pct of the revenues would come from the access rates, without changes in front of 1999, another 22 pct would come from the publicity and the electronic trade (in front of a 11 pct in 1999), while the revenues generated by the corporate services would lower from the 28 pct until almost the 15 pct. Villalonga and the vicarial consultant Abel Linares said to analysts that hoped the company began to charge interconnection rates like new source shortly of revenues--to operators rivals that take traffic to the pages of Terra--in Brazil and in Chile. They also said that Terra had foreseen to throw a portal of Internet soon for motives. Sources of Terra said that they were studying an unfolding of their actions (split) and a formal proposal in this sense it would be
presented before the meeting of shareholders of April, analyst said.

The market had speculated for some time with a possible split-up of those actions of Terra after multiplying for 10 the price of the titles from its exit to bag in November. Villalonga reiterated that Terra wanted to reach a result balanced in terms of EBITDA in the 2002 and to register a net profit in the
2003. The analyst Manuel Towers of Ibersecurities said that Terra is trusted in that its objectives of benefits won`t see each other altered by the strong expense in publicity and marketing.

Die Analysten des Investmenthauses Lehman Brothers stufen die Aktie des spanischen Internet-Anbieters Terra Networks (WKN 929053) nach wie vor als "Buy" ein.

Die Geschäftszahlen hätten die Erwartungen erfüllt. Nach Angaben der zuständigen Analysten Tarek Robbiati und Paul Norris ist die Präsenz auf dem spanischen und lateinamerikanischen Markt deutlich ausgebaut worden. Zudem könne auf einen erfolgreichen Start der Homepage in den Vereinigten Staaten hingewiesen werden.

Für die kommenden zwei Jahre rechnen die Experten mit einem Umsatz von 200 Mio. Euro und 374 Mio. Euro. Gleichzeitig sollte der Jahresfehlbetrag von 161515 99674 Euro sinken.

In Anbetracht der vielversprechenden Geschäftsentwicklung könne dem Anleger ein Engagement in den Internet-Titel empfohlen werden.

Danke für den Tip. Es scheint bislang nicht so einfach Informnationen zu bekommen. Ist es korrekt, daß zunächst nur in Holland emmitiert wird?
Alles was ich gefunden habe, klingt jedoch sehr interessant.
Wäre für weitere Infos dankbar.

Als Revanche, schau´ Dir doch mal Internet Gold an. WKN 925161, Nasdaq
IGLD. Israelischer Internetprovider, der zusammen mit MSFT das lokale MSN aufzieht.
Ansonsten Polen. Evtl. Softbank (913530), oder Prokom (911163). Beide allerdings schon gut gelaufen. M.E. aber mit weiterem Potential.

habe lange nichts mehr über Terra geschrieben !!!
Ich dachte der Kurs läuft von ganz alleone weiter gen Norden, aber dann kam der Crash !!!
Nach der Übernahme von Lycos sollte es jetzt wieder losgehen !!!

Hier noch ein Information :London, May 18 (Bloomberg Data) -- Terra Networks SA (TRR SM) was maintained ``buy`` by analyst
Tarek Robbiati at Lehman Brothers. ``We value Terra Lycos between 73 and 86 euros per share, with
the mid-point of 80 euros per share,`` the analyst said.


Also hoffen wir mal wieder und warten ab !!!

Die Investmentbank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson hält eine Kursverdoppelung bei den
Aktien des spanischen Internet-Service-Providers Terra Networks [Nasdaq:TRRA
Kurs / Chart ] für möglich. Als Voraussetzung für den prognostizierten Kursanstieg
nennen die Experten jedoch die Fusion mit dem amerikanischen Internetportal Lycos
[Nasdaq:LCOS Kurs / Chart ]. Terra hatte vor rund zwei Wochen die Übernahme von
Lycos für insgesamt 12,5 Milliarden Dollar in Aktien angekündigt.

Das spanische Unternehmen, das sich mehrheitlich im Besitz des Telekomkonzerns
Telefonica befindet, erhofft sich durch die Akquisition Zugriff auf die rund 30 Millionen
Hispanos in den Vereinigten Staaten.

Die Übernahmevereinbarungen sehen vor, dass Lycos-Aktionäre zwischen 1,433 und
2,15 Terra-Anteile für jede ihrer eigenen Aktien erhalten sollen. Bis zu einem Kurs von
45,38 Dollar garantiert der Konzern Lycos dadurch den zuvor ausgehandelten
Kaufpreis. Den hatten Kritiker im Anschluss an die Veröffentlichung vielfach als "zu
hoch" bemängelt.

Am 9.Juni werden die Aktionäre von Terra über die Zustimmung zum Kauf des
US-Portals entscheiden.

MADRID, June 8 (Reuters) - Shareholders in Spanish Internet company Terra Networks approved a huge capital increase on Thursday to fund the proposed all-share acquisition of U.S. search engine Lycos Inc. (NasdaqNM:LCOS - news).

A meeting of shareholders voted in favour of the issue of 340.9 million new shares in Terra -- the online arm of Spanish telecoms group Telefonica -- which is seeking to become one of the world`s leading Internet companies through the purchase.

All or some of those shares -- worth 16 billion euros ($15.4 billion) at the current market price -- will be used to buy Lycos, depending on the performance of Terra`s share price in the run-up to the acquisition.

Approval of the capital increase was a foregone conclusion because about 66 percent of Terra shares belong to Telefonica , which sees its Internet arm as key to its own ambitious expansion plans.

Merged Terra-Lycos would be the world`s third-biggest Internet company and number one in terms of geographic spread, Juan Villalonga, chairman of both Terra and Telefonica, told the meeting.

``We are already an industry leader in a sector which is the epicentre of the new industrial revolution,`` he said.

The proposed takeover has been agreed by Lycos` management but has to be cleared by shareholders in the U.S. company.

Shareholders also gave Villalonga and his team permission to carry out a rights issue of 35.5 million new shares to give the new merged company liquidity and four million shares to buy out its partner IDT Corp`s (NasdaqNM:IDTC - news) stake in Terra`s U.S. units.

Terra will also carry out a five-for-one share split and issue 38.3 million warrants, the equivalent of 82.4 million shares, to swap for share options held by Lycos employees.

Terra shares were up 2.5 percent at 48.06 euros at 1155 GMT.
