Folgende Einschätzung der Entwicklung im Iran seitens Union (Mrs. Millward
My understanding is that in Iran, there has been/will be a landslide victory
to President Khatami. Something in the order of 60% of the population have
voted for him - there is clearly a strong directive and support for reform
which is absolutely excellent news for Union. Union have been confident all
along that Iran was progressing to opening up to the western world. These
recent events only add weight to Union`s beliefs that Iran is the right
place to be in and entry is at the right time. I really am hopeful of a
very positive future in Iran. I have been there myself last year - what an
interesting place. I felt quite comfortable there - even working in remote
locations and found that the people were incredibly hospitable and friendly.
Iran has a positive future, I think.
