Kiel (vwd) - Der Insolvenzverwalter der Achterbahn AG, Kiel, hat die im
November 2002 gegründete Achterbahn Verlag GmbH an drei neue Gesellschafter
veräußert. Die Verträge seien Ende Januar unterzeichnet worden, teilte das
Unternehmen mit. Über den Kaufpreis sei Stillschweigen vereinbart worden.
Hauptgesellschafter der GmbH sei die Lappan Verlag GmbH, Oldenburg.
Mitgesellschafter seien Rüdiger Hahn und der bisherige Verlagsleiter
Christian Deller, der auch als Geschäftsführer der GmbH fungiere. Die
Achterbahn Verlag GmbH will das klassische Verlagsgeschäft weiter führen.

Die Achterbahn AG hatte im Oktober 2002 wegen drohender
Zahlungsunfähigkeit einen Antrag auf Insolvenz gestellt. Zum vorläufigen
Insolvenzverwalter hatte das Amtsgericht Kiel Carsten Krage bestimmt. Das
Insolvenzverfahren über das Vermögen der AG sowie dreier Töchter war am 1.

Connexion by Boeing Selects Portal Billing Software to Charge for Broadband Internet Connection on Boeing Aircraft

CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2003--Portal Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:PRSF) and Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA), today announced that Infranet(R), Portal`s convergent billing solution, has been selected to serve as the charging and rating system for their groundbreaking new service that provides high-speed Internet connectivity to airline passengers. Portal, a leading provider of billing solutions, will enable Connexion by Boeing to quickly and cost effectively deploy a chargeable version of its broadband service on leading airlines around the globe.

Portal will provide Connexion by Boeing with a fully developed and scalable billing platform that allows the business to easily charge for its Internet services and integrate cleanly with existing business systems. Infranet will authenticate, authorize, and charge passengers in real-time, while also supporting multiple service pricing plans including usage-based pricing and other pricing options being considered by the Boeing business unit.

Connexion by Boeing currently is conducting a commercial service demonstration with Lufthansa, where passengers have real-time access to the Internet, e-mail, firewall-protected corporate intranets and streaming audio and video applications on select trans-Atlantic flights, and will begin a similar demonstration with British Airways next month. Full-scale implementation and rollout of the innovative new service is expected to begin in 2004. Connexion by Boeing also is working with Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) and Japan Airlines for implementation of the service on their long-haul aircraft.

Connexion by Boeing required an extremely flexible architecture to adapt to its specialized provisioning and authentication systems that allow passengers to connect to Internet-supported applications during flight. Working together, Connexion by Boeing and Portal were able to configure the billing software to meet this critical business requirement with minimal adjustments.
