-----------------------------MARILLION-----------------------------
-----------------SCRIPT FOR A JESTER’S TEAR-----------------
So here I am once more
In the playground of the broken hearts
One more experience, one more entry in a diary, self-penned
Yet another emotional suicide
Overdosed on sentiment and pride
Too late to say I love you
Too late to restage the play
Abandoning the relics in my playground of yesterday
Im losing on the swings
Im losing on the roundabouts
Im losing on the swings
Im losing on the roundabouts
Too much, too soon, too far to go, too late to play
The game is over, the game is over
So here I am once more
In the playground of the broken hearts
Im losing on the swings
Im losing on the roundabouts
The game is over
Yet another emotional suicide
Overdosed on sentiment and pride
Im losing on the swings
Im losing on the roundabouts, roundabouts, the game is over
Too late to say I love you
Too late to restage the play
The game is over
I act the role in classic style
Of a martyr carved with twisted smile
To bleed the lyric for this song
To write the rites to right my wrongs
An epitaph to a broken dream
To exercise this silent scream
A scream thats born from sorrow
I never did write that lovesong
The words just never seemed to flow
Now sad in reflection did I gaze through perfection
And examine the shadows on the other side of morning
And examine the shadows on the other side of morning
Promised wedding now a wake
Promised wedding now a wake, awake
The fool escaped from paradise
Will look over his shoulder and cry
Sit and chew on daffodils and struggle to answer why?
As you grow up and leave the playground
Where you kissed your prince and found your frog
Remember the jester that showed you tears, the script for tears
So Ill hold our peace forever when you wear your bridal gown
In the silence of my shame the mute that sang the sirens song
Has gone solo in the game
Ive gone solo in the game, but the game is over
Can you still say you love me
Can you still say you love me
Can you still say that you love me
Do you love me
Do you love me
Do you love me
Do you love me, the jesters tear
Can you still say you love me
Can you still say you love me
Can you still say that you love me?
The jesters tear, the jesters tear
Do you love me

J Geils Band – Musta Got Lost
(Spoken)
Hold on - this song has a little introduction to it
It's ain’t supposed to be sad though you might feel it that way
It's a song about desperation,
Every now and then we do get desperate
This is a song about L-O-V-E,
and if you abuse it you're gonna lose it
and if you lose it you're gonna 'buse and
if you 'buse it you aint gonna be able to choose it
cuz you aint gonna have it further on down the line
things aint gonna be so fine
You're gonna to be sitting there on your little.. machine
tryin to look and keep it clean and
You’re going to be home playing bingo all night all alone
and that's why you're sittin there by the telephone
and you know that she aint goin to call you!
So you put on the TV and you're watchin Johnny Carson
segwayin right into the Tomorrow Show
but that don't got the go so you turn it off
ya turn on the radio,
the radio don’t' seem to get the click so you say
"Hey Man, I can't lickety split"
You start to open up a little book
and there's somethin there you got to overlook
and you say "BABY, you know there's somethin on my mind!
"You say "Baby there's somethin on my mind -
I know that you're home and I know you aint all alone! "
So you start walking over to her house
and you get over to her house
and you walk over to her door and
you start poundin on her door and you say
"Open up the door bitch!”
This is wooba gooba with the green teeth, let me in!!"
Well, she opens up the door
and then you just kinda walk up to her and say
"Baby", (say Baby!) you look up way up at her green mascara
and you say "Oh my darling,
you know her and me was at the party as friends -
do not believe what they say
that's only gossip that they tellin ya -
a wise crack of lies!"
You say "Darling!!!
Take your big curls and squeeze them down, Ratumba!"
- What's the name of the chick with the long hair? -
(Rapunzel!) Hey Rapunzel!
Heh heh... Hey Reputa the beautah! Reputa the Beautah!
Hey Reputa the Beautah flip me down your hair
and let me climb up to the ladder of your love!!
Because this is the wooba gooba sayin to ya
"Love comes once and when it comes
you better grab it fast cuz sometimes the love
you grab aint gonn' last and
I believe I musta,
You know I think I musta,
You know baby I think I musta,
You know I think I musta,
I musta got lost!!!!!!!
1…2….3…
(Sung)
Never thought about tomorrow
Seemed like a long time to come
How could I be so blind, baby
Not to see you were the one
I let ya slip on from me baby
I let ya walk on by,
Shoulda loved, you told me
I refused to love, I let it die
Musta got lost, musta got lost, musta got lost
Somewhere down the line
Musta got lost, musta got lost
Give away the day you were mine
Don't know why I let you leave me
Honey I don’t know
See its hard to see lovin' comin baby
But I have a way to see it go
Musta got lost, musta got lost, musta got lost
Somewhere down the line
Musta got lost, I got lost
Give away the day you were mine
Love can be a sweet thing
girl I just don't understand
made a game outta lovin' you
now I hold a losin' hand
Musta got lost, musta got lost, musta got lost
Somewhere down the line
Musta got lost, I got lost girl
Give away the day you were mine
I just don't understand it
I just don't understand it
I just don't understand it
And I musta got lost, musta got lost, musta got lost
Somewhere down the line, hey
Musta got lost, baby, I got lost girl
Give away the day you were mine
Musta got lost, I got lost, musta got lost
somewhere down the line
Musta got lost, I got lost girl
Give away the day you were mine
C’mon
Oh, I got lost, double-crossed
Your lovin, give it to me all night long
I said your love got me higher,
than I ever been lifted before
I said your love got me higher,
than I ever been lifted before ....
Somewhere ....

"Bloody Revolution"
by Crass originally
recorded 1980
You talk about your revolution, well, that's fine
But what are you going to be doing come the time?
Are you going to be the big man with the tommy-gun?
Will you talk of freedom when the blood begins to run?
Well, freedom has no value if violence is the price
Don't want your revolution, I want anarachy and peace
Chorus: You talk of over throwing power with violence as your tool
You speak of liberation and when the people rule
Well ain't it people rule right now, what differnce would there be?
Just another set of bigots with their rifle-sights on me
But what about those people who don't want your new restrictions?
Those that disagree with you and have their own convictions?
You say thay've got it wrong becuase they don't agree with you
So when the recolution comes you'll have to run them through
Yet you say that revoution will bring freedom for us all
Well freedom just ain't freedom when your back's against the wall
Chorus
Will you indoctrinate the masses to serve your new regime?
And simply do away with those whose views are too extreme?
Transportation details could be left to British rail
Where Zyklon B sucessed, North Sea Gas will fail
It's just the same old story of man destroying man
We've got to look for other answers to the problems of this land
Chorus
Vive la revolution, people of the world unite
Stand up of courage, it's your job to fight
It all seems very easy, this revolution game
But when you start to really play thing won't be quite the same
Your intellectual theories on how it's going to be
Don't seem to take into accoutn the true reality
Cos the truth of what you're saying, as you sit there sipping beer
Is pain and death and suffering, but of course you wouldn't care
You're far too much of a man for that, if Mao did it so can you
What's the fredom of us all agaist the suffering of a few?
That's the kind of self-deception that killed ten million jews
Just the same false logic that all power-mogers use
So don't think you can fool me wiht your political tricks
Bovernment is government and all government is force
Left of right, right or left, it takes the same old course
Oppression and restriction, regulation, rule and law
The seizre of that power is all your revolution's for
You romanticise your heroes, qutoe from Marx and Mao
Well thir ideas of freedom are just oppression now
Nothing's changed for all the death that their ideas created
It's just the same fascistic games, but the rules aren't clearly stated
Nothing's really different cos all government's the same
They can call it freedom, but slavery is the game
There's nothgin that you offer but a dream of last years hero
The truth of revolution, bother..................... is year zero
