MyFamily.com Partners With Onebox.com to Deliver Email, Voice Mail and Fax
In a Single, Free Electronic Inbox
OREM, Utah, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- MyFamily.com, Inc., the premier online
resource for connecting and strengthening families, today announced a
partnership with Onebox.com, the next generation communications company, to
launch an additional online service that enables members of MyFamily.com
(www.myfamily.com) to communicate across the Web and by telephone. The free
service, called MyFamily Mail, allows people to stay connected from any
location by enabling them to use the Internet to receive and check email,
voicemail and fax messages in their personal inbox. In addition, users of the
new service can use the telephone to hear voice messages and find out if they
      have email and faxes waiting.
"MyFamily.com is continually seeking to add new online services,
technologies and resources that enable our site visitors to more easily and
personally connect with their family members," said David Vandagriff, general
manager of MyFamily.com. "With families becoming increasingly busy and
geographically spread out, this new service allows people to send and receive
messages in multiple formats and from any location. Now communication can be
more flexible and more personal at the same time."
The MyFamily Mail service, developed with and hosted by Onebox.com, is
Internet-based and does not require users to download or install any
applications to their computers. Users simply give their MyFamily.com email
address and phone number to their family and friends. Unlike standard email
and fax, the user will receive all their messages in one place. Through the
service, voice messages and faxes can be forwarded in the same manner that
email is forwarded and users don`t have to own a fax machine to receive and
view faxes through their private MyFamily.com Web page.
"Onebox.com is excited to be the premier messaging provider for the
MyFamily.com Web site. Our partnership with MyFamily.com helps enable them to
offer millions of families a way to enhance their communications options,"
said Bill Nguyen, Founder and VP of Business Development at Onebox.com. "Many
families today are major users of innovative interactive technology and will
be drawn to the MyFamily Mail service for its convenience, privacy and ease-
      of-use."
Faxes sent to a MyFamily.com inbox can be viewed online in electronic
format and printed from a standard printer. Voice messages can be sent and
received both by telephone and through a computer. To send voice messages
through the Internet, users speak into their computer`s microphone and push a
send button on the site. The person who receives the message only needs
standard computer speakers to listen to the message at their convenience.
