OSISKO SECURES RIGHTS TO MAJOR BRAZILIAN GOLD PROPERTY

Osisko Exploration has signed a letter of intent giving Osisko the exclusive right to acquire a majority interest in a significant new gold property in Brazil.

Osisko signed the letter of intent with Amazonia Mineracao Ltda., a private Brazilian exploration, development and gold-producing company, to acquire a 70-per-cent interest in the Castelo dos Sonhos gold property, located in southern Para, Brazil. The letter of intent allows for a six-month due diligence period during which Osisko may undertake unrestricted exploration work, including propertywide drilling prior to proceeding with the formal agreement. Osisko plans an aggressive work program during the due diligence phase to evaluate areas of alluvial, oxide and sulphide mineralization known from artisanal workings, as well as the two major gold zones defined on the property by previous exploration.

The property comprises 13 concessions covering approximately 72,000 hectares (177,912 acres), and benefits from good road access and local infrastructure. The property was held under option by Barrick Gold Corp. in the mid-1990s, and was subject to over $1.5-million (U.S.) in exploration work that included soil geochemistry, stream sediment sampling, surveying, geophysical surveying, trenching and approximately 2,027 metres of diamond drilling. This work defined two significant gold-bearing zones: the five-kilometre-long Esperanca Sul zone and the two-kilometre-long Esperanca Centro zone.

In order to acquire its 70-per-cent interest in the Castelo dos Sonhos property, Osisko must first pay $28,000 (U.S.) to the vendor and proceed with due diligence work. Should Osisko decide to continue work following the six-month due diligence period, the property licences will be transferred into a Brazilian limited liability partnership (LLP) owned jointly by Osisko (70 per cent) and Amazonia (30 per cent). At the end of the six-month due diligence period, Osisko will pay the vendor and Amazonia a total of $345,000 (U.S.) in staged payments over a two-year period. Osisko will finance all exploration work on the property. Amazonia will finance its portion of expenses from prefeasibility through to development, through a loan to the LLP from Osisko, to be repaid by Amazonia from first production. The vendor will retain a sliding-scale NSR royalty, tied to the price of gold and ranging from 2.2 per cent to 2.7 per cent. The vendor will also receive an advance royalty payment of $1.6-million (U.S.) following a positive feasibility study, and a premium of $1 (U.S.) per ounce gold contained in the proven ore reserves over mine life if these reserves exceed one million ounces.

OSISKO STARTS DUE DILIGENCE ON CASTELO DOS SONHOS

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that due diligence work has commenced on the Castelo dos Sonhos gold property in Para state, Brazil. Osisko recently signed a letter of intent to acquire a 70% interest in the property (see March 22, 2004 press release).
The property consists of 13 exploration permits covering 72,000 ha, and is situated in the southeastern portion of the Amazon craton. The property area is part of the Tapajos Gold Province, an area encompassing 105,000 sq. km that has produced, since the early 1950’s, over 20 million ounces of gold from artisanal mining of mainly alluvial deposits.
Gold was discovered at Castelo dos Sonhos in the late 1980’s, and the property has since seen extensive artisanal mining of both alluvial and primary sources. Barrick Gold Corp. conducted significant exploration work on the permits in 1995–1996, including geological mapping, stream sediment, soil and rock sampling, trenching, drilling and airborne geophysics. Three primary targets were identified during the program: Esperanca Sul, Esperanca Centro and Alvo Geofisico.
At Esperanca Sul, Barrick’s geochemical survey defined a gold-in-soil anomaly approximately 5 km long and 1 to 2 km wide, defined by a 30 ppb Au threshold. The Esperanca Centro gold-in-soil anomaly (located 1 km north of the Esperanca Sul anomaly) measures approximately 2.6 km x 500 meters, as defined by a 150 ppb Au threshold. The maximum gold value obtained in soils was 1,722 ppb Au. Both areas have coincident magnetic and radiometric anomalies. The Alvo Geofisico target was defined by magnetic and radiometric anomalies.
Previous work by Barrick was concentrated on the Esperanca Sul target. Most of the trenching (total of over 4700 meters) and drilling (22 drill holes totaling 2026 meters) focused on a 4 km segment of the anomaly. Over half of the drill holes were concentrated in an area covering approximately 1500 meters of the Esperanca Sul target, from 100NE to 1600NE. One hole was drilled on the Esperanca Centro anomaly, and no trenching or drilling was done at Alvo Geofisico. A summary of the significant results from the Barrick work on Esperanca Sul are presented below.
Large areas of the property have seen limited first-stage exploration work, and a number of significant geochemical and geophysical targets remain to be investigated. Management believes there is strong gold potential in the untested areas of the property.
Osisko and their joint-venture partner Amazonia Mineracao Ltda plan to carry out an aggressive work program including new drilling on mineralized areas previously defined by Barrick. The Alvo Geofisico target and other anomalous areas of the extensive property package will also be the subject of detailed work in the coming program.
Amazonia Mineracao Ltda is a privately held Brazilian based exploration and mining company, which has joint ownership of the high-grade Sertao gold mine, currently producing at a rate of 72,000 opy.
Osisko is a Canadian-based gold exploration company with a highly experienced international resource management team, focused on building shareholder value through the acquisition of low-cost, near-term development projects in Canada and Brazil.

Osisko Reports High Gold Values From Santa Catarina 4/19/04

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that it has received analytical results from the Santa Catarina gold property, Brazil. The work was conducted as part of a due diligence program following the signing of a letter of intent to acquire a 70% interest in the property (Osisko press release, January 21, 2004).
The Santa Catarina property includes two adjacent blocks, Carneiro and Braco, covering 1,831 ha located in an area with well developed infrastructure within Santa Catarina State, southern Brazil. Three main gold occurrences were confirmed by the due diligence sampling: Carneiro 1, Italiano and Braco 1. Results obtained from the sampling range from less than 5ppb Au to over 76 g/t Au. A total of 284 samples were collected, 67 samples returning values greater than 1 g/t Au. The latter include 21 samples with values greater than 10 g/t Au (including repeat samples), results of which are listed below:

The principal showing on the Carneiro Block (Carneiro 1) is an E-W striking, shear-hosted quartz-sulfide vein system which outcrops intermittently for approximately 240 meters along the shear zone. The mineralized zone is up to 8 meters in width and averages 1.8 meters in true width. Previous sampling of the widest observed section returned 8m @ 12.0 g/t Au (Osisko press release, January 21, 2004).

Additional positive results were obtained on the Carneiro Block at the Italiano showing, located approximately 2 kilometers west along strike from the Carneiro 1 showing. Paucity of outcrop at Italiano restricted sampling to subcrop and loose boulders. Sampling of boulders of quartz-sulfide veins hosted by sericitized granite returned values of up to 76.80 g/t Au (see table above).

The Braco 1 showing is located approximately 6 km southeast from Carneiro 1 on the adjacent Braco Block. Mineralization is associated with sheeted quartz veins and quartz stockworks in subvertical E-W shear zones within a hydrothermally altered granitoid. The granitoid body was mapped over a strike length of 630 meters during the due diligence program.

Quartz veining and sheared altered host rock from the three principal showings were sampled using panel, chip-panel and grab sampling. On the Carneiro Block, samples were collected using 5 meter-long panels with 0.5m to 2m widths depending on vein thickness. Panels in the host rock material averaged 1m width. On the Braco Block (where exposure is more limited), panel samples were collected by systematically chip sampling available outcrop areas of variable dimensions, averaging 1m x 1m.

Samples were prepared and analyzed by BSI Inspectorate, a global commodity inspection and analysis company with offices in 110 countries. Sample preparation was conducted by BSI in Goiania, Brazil and analyses were performed at a BSI laboratory located in Sparks, Nevada. Samples were analyzed using two methods: standard 50g-FA and 50g-FA with gravimetric finish. Areas of high grade gold mineralization reported in previous work were sampled in triplicate to test for reproducibility.

Osisko and their joint-venture partner Amazonia Mineracao Ltda plan to conclude the Santa Catarina agreement in the coming month and will carry out an aggressive work program including drilling on the main mineralized areas confirmed by the due diligence program. The corridor between the Carneiro 1 and Italiano showings will also be the focus of detailed investigation.

Based on disappointing results from due diligence work on the Barro Alto property, located in Goias State, Osisko has decided not to proceed with additional work on that property.

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that it has completed its due diligence work and has begun the drill program on the Barry gold deposit, located in the Abitibi region of northwestern Quebec. This program is ultimately aimed at putting the Barry gold deposit on the fast track to production through the development of an open pit operation.

The Barry gold deposit includes the Main Zone, a near-surface quartz-pyrite-gold stockwork that has been drill-defined over a strike length of 200 m, a width of 25 to 30 m and a vertical depth of 8 to 25 m from surface. Previous drilling by Murgor on the Main Zone (1995-1996) produced the following mineralized intersections, all from shallow holes inclined 85 degrees (results tabled east to west along the grid):

The northern margin of the Main Zone has not been defined by previous work and remains open. The average grade of the Main Zone has been estimated at 3.5 g/t Au, although a 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate is not presently available. In 1999, a 1.5 tonne metallurgical test sample was extracted which assayed 9.57 g/t Au with a 94% gold recovery.

The Main Zone is open to the southwest and geophysical data indicate that mineralization extends for 300 m in that direction. Only one near-surface drill hole (MB45) tested the extension on line 700E, intersecting 7.7 m @ 9.72 g/t Au at a vertical depth of approximately 35 m. Another broad, strong geophysical (IP) anomaly, measuring 300 m x 80 m, occurs 170 m northwest of the Main Zone, and this anomaly has not been tested with near-surface drilling.

The objectives of the initial drill program (10 drill holes) will be to verify previously reported results from the Main Zone by duplicating four holes, test the northern margin and southwestern extension of the Main Zone and test the geophysical anomaly to the north. Further work will ultimately be aimed at defining an economic, open-pit resource on the property through detailed, shallow infill-drilling of the Main Zone and other mineralized zones.

Osisko has the right to acquire a 55% interest in 5 claims of the Barry property from Murgor Resources Inc. and Freewest Resources Canada Inc, in consideration of cash and share payments, providing a 43-101 compliant, near-surface, drill-measured resource and providing a bankable feasibility study before June, 2006. An additional 10% interest (total of 65%) can be earned by Osisko by issuing additional common shares, issuing a production notice and securing financing for 100% of the joint venture’s development costs before June 2007.

(OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce the completion of the Phase Two drill program on the Barry gold project, located in the eastern Abitibi region of Quebec. The Barry Gold Project is under option from Murgor Resources Inc. (MUG:TSX-V) and Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (FWR:TSX-V) (Osisko press release, May 11, 2004). The program comprised fourteen shallow drill holes totaling 475 meters, which produced the following significant near-surface mineralized intersections:



The program focused on defining the up-dip, northwestern extension of the Main Zone of the Barry deposit (drill holes 111 to 119) as well as exploring the southwestern strike extent of mineralization between lines 800 E and 975 E (drill holes 120 to 124). Assay results from hole 116 are pending.

Mineralized intersections from the Phase One drill program, results of which were previously reported (Osisko press release, July 8, 2004), were re-assayed by full metallic sieving and fire assay finish. This assaying method is more precise and produced comparable results, tabled below:



Furthermore, additional compilation of previous drilling on the property (1996-1997) has established that gold mineralization and associated quartz stockworks define a much larger system than originally suspected. A series of drill holes collared between lines 400 E and 950 E (all located to the south of the area currently being explored) returned gold intersections that are significant in light of Osisko’s current strategy to define a near surface bulk-mineable gold deposit. Follow-up drilling to trace these mineralized zones closer to surface was never implemented and will be the subject of future test work by Osisko. Significant results from this previous work include:



The Main Zone of the Barry deposit consists of a near-surface quartz-pyrite-gold stockwork which has now been defined over a strike length of 250 m, a width of 25 to 80 m and a vertical depth of 5 to 25 m from surface. The data presented above indicate that near-surface mineralized stockworks extend to the southeast for an additional 50 to 100 m and along strike to the southwest for an additional 450 meters.

Management is very pleased with the results obtained to date at the Barry property, which further demonstrate the property’s potential for an economic near-surface gold resource. Phase Three drilling commenced this week and will focus on defining the northwestern limit of the deposit and on establishing the extent of near-surface mineralization to line 700E.

All reported assays were done by standard 50 g fire assaying or metallic sieving/FA finish at ALS Chemex laboratories in Val d’Or, Quebec. Mr. John Burzynski, P. Geo., is the Qualified Person responsible for the preparation of this news release.

Barry is under option from Murgor Resources Inc. (MUG:TSX-V) and Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (FWR:TSX-V) (Osisko press release, May 11, 2004). The Barry property is located approximately 12 kilometers southwest of and on-strike with Noront Resources` (NOT:TSX-V) Windfall property, where the discovery of a significant new gold zone was recently announced.

Highlights of the new results of near-surface mineralization at Barry include 19.62 meters grading 5.31 g/t Au (DDH BA04-136), 18.75 meters grading 4.14 g/t Au (DDH BA04-140) and 23.0 meters grading 4.22 g/t Au (DDH BA04-143).

All holes were drilled at an azimuth of 330 degrees and inclined 70 to 75 degrees. A drill hole location map is available for viewing on Osisko`s web site. All reported assays were done by standard 50 g fire assaying-AA finish at ALS Chemex laboratories in Val d`Or, Quebec.

A structural interpretation of the Barry deposit drill data, compiled from previous work and from the 2004 program, suggests that Main Zone gold stockwork extends to the southwest an additional 450 meters towards line 700E. Two additional near-surface zones of mineralization have also been interpreted to the south-southwest of the Main zone:

Zone 45, extending from line 700E to line 950E and located south of the SW Extension (best historical drill intersection of 7.7 meters grading 9.72 g/t Au from 38.8 to 51.5 meters);

Zone 48, extending from line 300E to line 450E and southwest of the SW Extension (best historical drill intersection of 10.6 meters grading 2.10 g/t Au from 74.9 to 85.5 meters).

Management is very pleased with results obtained from Barry to date, which demonstrate the property`s potential for a significant near-surface gold resource. An aggressive winter 2005 drilling program is scheduled that will focus on defining the southwest continuation of near-surface mineralization in the Main Zone, and will also target Zone 45 and Zone 48.

OSISKO ACQUIRES FORMER GOLD PRODUCER IN MALARTIC, QUEBEC

Barry deposit on strike with Noront’s gold discovery

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce it has signed an agreement with a private vendor to acquire a 100% interest in the Canadian Malartic property, located in Malartic, Quebec.

The property comprises 37 claims and one mining concession with a total surface area of 1466 hectares. The Canadian Malartic property includes the former Canadian Malartic Mine which produced over 1 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 3.37 g/t Au between the years 1935 – 1965. Historical production in the Malartic camp from 1935 to 1979 (Canadian Malartic and the adjacent Barnat-Sladen and East Malartic Mines) totaled over 5 million ounces (figures obtained from public data base of the Ministere des Ressources Naturelles du Quebec).

Extensive drilling by Lac Minerals in the 1980’s (over 55,000 meters), prior to their acquisition by Barrick Gold, outlined extensive near-surface mineralization on the property in six separate zones (the Wolfe Zone, Gilbert Zone, A Zone, P Zone, F Zone and Shaft Zone). The Canadian Malartic property has excellent infrastructure and is located on highway 117, immediately south of the town of Malartic, 26 kilometers west of Val d’Or, Quebec. The inactive East Malartic mill is located 2.5 km to the east and Richmont’s Camflo mill is located 12 km to the east along highway 117.

Robert Wares, President of Osisko, states “We are very pleased with the Canadian Malartic purchase. This acquisition adheres to Osisko’s objective of acquiring properties with low-cost, near-surface gold resources and strong production potential.”

Osisko is currently reviewing the extensive data base from the property and plans to conduct additional test work with the short-term objective of confirming a significant near-surface resource amenable to open pit mining. Preliminary review of the available data also indicates potential for high grade stockwork gold zones at depth.

The agreement between Osisko and the vendor allows Osisko to acquire 100% interest in the property through staged cash payments of $80,000 by June 30, 2005. The Canadian Malartic property is subject to a sliding-scale NSR to Barrick Gold Corp. ranging between 2% to 3%, of which half of the NSR can be purchased by Osisko for a cash payment of between $1M to $1.5M subject to the prevailing gold price.

OSISKO REPORTS HISTORICAL GOLD RESOURCE ESTIMATE FROM MALARTIC

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce results of the preliminary review of acquired technical documentation on its recently optioned Canadian Malartic property, Quebec. The review indicates that the Canadian Malartic property has a reported historical resource of over 500,000 ounces gold contained within several near-surface deposits.

The resource estimate is based on information acquired from extensive surface drilling (over 55,000 meters) conducted by Lac Minerals between 1984 and 1986. All resource estimates were calculated by Lac Minerals and the reported gold resources are situated in five separate deposits referred to as the Wolf, F, P, Gilbert and A zones. These zones are located at less than 100 meters depth and are amenable to open pit mining. Lac Minerals calculated resources for these zones with a cut-off grade of 1.03 g/t Au using block-averaging methods with vertical sections separated by 15 meters (50 feet), and produced the following results:



The total cumulative resource for these zones is 8.16 million metric tonnes at an average grade of 1.98 g/t Au, for approximately 519,500 contained ounces of gold.

Lac Minerals, prior to it’s acquisition by Barrick Gold Corp. in 1994, was a multi-national mining company headquartered in Toronto. Lac Minerals classified the above resources as “indicated and probable geological reserves”. “Possible geological reserves” reported by Lac have not been included in the above table. Lac Minerals did not report reserve and resource estimates under National Instrument 43-101, which was not existing policy at that time. OSISKO ARRANGES ADDITIONAL FINANCING

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that it has arranged a non-brokered flow-though private placement of $250,500 with Northern Precious Metals Limited Partnership. Osisko has agreed to issue a maximum of 835,000 flow-through common shares at 30 cents per common shares. Each flow-through common share will be flow-through share as defined in subsection 66 (15) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).

The proceeds from the offering will be used for exploration on Osisko’s Malartic gold property located in the Abitibi region of Quebec. The proposed private placement is subject to regulatory approval.

Das mag durchaus etwas stossend sein, steht aber nicht zwangsläufig für ein Negativ-Kriterium.

Gerade bei dieser Konstellation wird man sich das Engagement von seiten der "Familie" wohl gut überlegt haben.
Und Osisko seinerseits verspricht durchaus ein interessantes Investment zu werden, da die Projekte hauptsächlich mit geringen Investitionen gefahren werden können. Dementsprechend mag die Phantasie nicht in berauschende Höhen (?) klettern, wie dies bei so manch´ anderem Explorer mit viel Glück der Fall sein könnte, doch was nützt Kursphantasie, wenn diese dann nur Phantasie bleibt.

Mir scheint, auch wenn man mal etwas weiter recherchiert, die Angelegenheit doch relativ realistisch ausgerichtet, wobei das Risiko bei solchen Investments natürlich zwangsläufiger Natur ist.

(CA:OSK) (DEUTSCHE BOERSE:EWX) is pleased to announce that the Phase Four drill program will begin this week on the Barry gold property, located in the Abitibi region of northwestern Quebec. Barry is under option from Murgor Resources Inc. (CA:MUG) and Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (CA:FWR) (Osisko press release, May 11, 2004).







The Main Zone of the Barry deposit was drill-defined during the 2004 drill programs and consists of a near-surface quartz-pyrite-gold stockwork with a strike length of 250 m, a width of 25 to 80 m and a vertical depth of 5 to 25 m from surface. Available data suggest that Main Zone gold stockwork extends to the southwest an additional 450 meters towards line 700E (SW Extension). Two additional zones of mineralization have also been interpreted to the south-southwest of the Main zone:

Zone 45, extending from line 700E to line 950E and located south of the SW Extension (best historical drill intersection of 7.7 meters grading 9.72 g/t Au from 38.8 to 51.5 meters);

Zone 48, extending from line 300E to line 450E and southwest of the SW Extension (best historical drill intersection of 10.6 meters grading 2.10 g/t Au from 74.9 to 85.5 meters).

The Phase Four program is designed to test the extent of near-surface mineralization in the three above-mentioned zones.

In other developments, the Company has amended the Company`s Stock Option Plan (the "Plan") in order to meet compliance criteria of the TSX Venture Exchange. Under the new Plan, the number of authorized but non-issued Common Shares that may be issued upon the exercise of Options granted under the Plan at any time plus the number of Common Shares reserved for issuance under outstanding incentive stock options otherwise granted by the Company shall not exceed 3,200,000 Common Shares, or 10% of currently issued and outstanding shares. OSISKO COMMENCES MALARTIC DRILL PROGRAM

Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that a diamond drill program on its 100% owned Canadian Malartic property will begin during the week of March 7, 2005. The Canadian Malartic property has a reported historical resource of over 500,000 ounces gold contained within five near-surface deposits (see November 23, 2004 press release). The first phase of drilling will focus on the F zone, containing a historical resource (pre 43-101) of 2,039,018 metric tonnes @ 1.78 g/t Au (116,875 oz. gold).


Recently completed compilation of available data has revealed that the historical resource estimate on the F zone was limited to the central portion of the deposit, where drill data was most dense. The resource calculation was based on data spread over a strike length of 210 meters, a width of 40 to 120 meters and a maximum depth of 105 meters. Interpretation of available geological information and previous drill data indicates that this near-surface mineralized zone extends over a strike length of 410 meters. Furthermore, the core of the deposit appears to extend to a vertical depth of 120 to 150 meters.

Osisko management believes that the previous estimate was very conservative and is confident that new drilling will ultimately lead to a significant increase in the F zone gold resource. The upcoming minimum 2000 meter drill program will test the core of the deposit along most of its strike length, to a depth of 130 to 180 meters. The program will include selected twin holes for verification of historical intersections as well as infill holes along certain sections of the deposit.

The Canadian Malartic property is located in the heart of the prolific Abitibi region of Quebec and includes the former Canadian Malartic Mine, which produced over 1 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 3.37 g/t Au between the years 1935 – 1965. Osisko Acquires Abitibi Gold Property

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - April 1, 2005) - Osisko Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:OSK - News; Deutsche Boerse:EWX) is pleased to announce that the Company has acquired, through staking, a second property which offers potential for bulk-tonnage, near-surface gold mineralization.

The Launay property, located in the Abitibi region of Quebec approximately 75 km northwest of Osisko`s Canadian Malartic property, comprises 41 claims with a total surface area of 1650 hectares. Previous exploration work on the property was limited to surface prospecting and geological mapping, a small IP geophysical survey and diamond drilling (5 holes).

Data compiled from public records indicate that the Launay property covers the north and western portion of a granitoid porphyry intrusion that hosts two known showings of stockwork mineralization. Surface grab samples from these showings are reported to have assayed up to 7 g/t gold and 3.0% molybdenum (MoS2). The porphyry intrusion includes a potassic alteration zone (K-feldspar-magnetite) stretching along its northwestern margin over a 5000 by 600 meter area. The presence of a large potassic zone is deemed very significant as this type of alteration is commonly associated with porphyry-style gold deposits. It is worth noting that previous geophysical surveying and drilling was conducted within the porphyry intrusion, but to the east of the potassic zone.

The above information suggests the presence of porphyry-style gold-molybdenum mineralization on the Launay property, which is an attractive target given the Company`s focus on exploration for near-surface bulk-tonnage gold deposits. A June 2005 program of prospecting and sampling, focused on the area of potassic alteration, is planned for this property.

Canadian Malartic update

Drilling on the Canadian Malartic gold property is proceeding as scheduled. Five vertical holes, 150 to 230 meters deep, have been completed on the F zone. Logging of the core has confirmed the presence of a mineralized porphyry intrusion in the core of the F zone. Samples from the first three holes have been submitted to ALS Chemex laboratories for assaying, and results will be released as soon as they are made available.

Osisko – Massive Erhöhung der Resourcen?
Bei unserem zuletzt ins Musterdepot aufgenommenen Wert aus dem Explorationsbereich – Osisko - läuft diese Woche das Drilling auf dem Malartic Projekt an. Die Erwartungen hier sind groß. Es geht längst nicht nur darum, die vorhandenen Resourcen in der gesetzlich geforderten Form 43-101 bestätigen zu lassen, sondern um vielmehr die Resourcen deutlich zu erhöhen. Das Management von Osisko glaubt, dass die historischen Resourcen von Lac Minerals sehr konservativ angesetzt waren und ist sich sicher, die Reserven auf diesem Projekt signifikant erhöhen zu können. Das aktuelle Drillprogramm konzentriert sich vor allem auf die F – Zone und die Wolfe – Zone. Bei ersterer wird man nun über eine Länge von 410 Metern und 150 Metern Tiefe, statt wie bei Lac über lediglich 210 Metern Länge und 100 Metern Tiefe, bohren. Es wird sowohl Zwillingsbohrungen (um die alten Bohrungen zu bestätigen), als auch komplett neue Bohrungen geben. Diese Bohrungen werden diesmal auch deutlich tiefer gehen, als die historischen. Des weiteren ergaben die Untersuchungen, dass die F – Zone und die P – Zone in 200 Metern Tiefe miteinander verbunden sind (connection zone). Diese Mineralisitionszone ist bisher in keiner Resourcenschätzung berücksichtigt. Und obwohl sich die Firma hier sehr bedeckt hält, sind doch die eine oder anderen Zahlen zu hören. So erwartet man bei der ersten Etappe des Drillprogramms in der F – Zone eine Steigerung der Resourcen um ca. 300.000 Unzen. Diese alleine würde zwangsläufig die aktuellen Unterbewertungen noch erhöhen und der Aktie ein zusätzliches Aufwärtspotenzial eröffnen.
Untersuchungen der Wolfe – Zone haben ergeben, dass die Mineralisierung mindestens bis in eine Tiefe von 300 Metern reicht. Die Zahlen von Lac Minerals in dieser Zone stammen von einem sehr limitierten Drilling. Osisko ist sich sicher, dass auch hier durch ein neues Drillprogramm deutliche Resourcen hinzugefügt werden können.
Aus Unternehmenskreisen ist zu hören, dass man sich für das Gesamtprojekt eine Erhöhung der Resourcen von aktuell 520.000 Unzen auf 2 Mio. Unzen erhofft.
Der Grund warum sich das Unternehmen derzeit mit aktuellen Aussagen und Prognosen sehr bedeckt hält, ist wohl darin zu suchen, dass man versucht umliegendes Land zu akquirieren. Schließlich möchte man hier keine Konkurrenz haben, die einem Projekte wegschnappen oder den Preis hochtreiben könnte.


Fazit:
Wir rechnen mit den ersten Ergebnissen von Malartic Ende März/Anfang April. Da wir die Firma schon jetzt auf aktuellem Niveau und mit den aktuellen Resourcenstätzungen für unterbewertet halten, wird jede einzelne Unze, die zusätzlich gefunden wird, zwangsläufig dazu führen, dass die Unterbewertung noch größer und das Kurspotential höher wird. Zum einen ergibt sich diese Unterbewertung schon allein durch das Malartic Projekt, dabei sind die anderen Projekte überhaupt noch nicht berücksichtigt. Zum anderen gibt es da Barry, wo im Augenblick ebenfalls ein Drillprogramm angelaufen ist und wir ebenfalls mit ersten Ergebnissen Anfang April rechnen. Weiters hat man noch Castelo dos Sonhos in Brasilien. Hier hört man, gäbe es Gespräche mit Kinross Gold, die sehr an dem Projekt interessiert sind. Kein Wunder, dass Osisko Kinross das Projekt doch vor der Nase wegschnappen konnte. Nun sieht es allerdings so aus, als ob am Ende doch beide etwas von diesem Projekt haben könnten. Kurz gesagt bleibt es also sehr spannend. Und das aktuelle Nachholpotential der Aktie ist eine Chance für jeden Investor. (KL)

focused on the F Zone, which is one of five near-surface mineralized zones on the property. The F

651); 0.85 g/t Au over 210.1 meters (CM05-652); and 1.61 g/t Au over 91.7 metres (CM05-653).
All of the holes contain disseminated gold and pyrite mineralization hosted in potassic-altered, finegrained
granodiorite porphyry. The above holes were collared in the western portion of the F zone, over
a strike length of 60 meters. CM05-651 and CM05-652 were collared outside the area included in the
historical resource estimate (please see the company web site for drill hole locations). Furthermore,
hole CM05-653 was extended beyond previous drilling depths at that location, and encountered 28
meters of additional gold-bearing mineralization.
The historical resource estimate conducted by Lac Minerals was restricted to the central portion of the
overall deposit, where drilling was most dense, and was based on a strike of 210 meters, width of 40 -
120 meters and a maximum depth of 105 meters. Initial results and interpretation of all currently
available data indicates the F Zone extends over a minimum strike length of 410 meters, an average
width of 80 meters and to a depth of 120 -170 meters.
Management is very pleased with the initial results which confirm the porphyry-gold nature and
potential of the deposit, and is confident of increasing the size of the F zone. Both factors are important
to the Company’s objective of defining an economic, bulk-tonnage gold deposit.

Holes CM05-682 and CM05-663 were drilled at the western and eastern extremities, respectively, of the F zone and these portions of the mineralized zone were not included in the calculation of the historical gold resource. The F zone historical resource calculation was restricted to the central portion of the deposit and was based on a strike length of 210 meters, widths of 40 to120 meters and a maximum depth of 105 meters.

All thirteen holes of the Phase One program were drilled vertically and intersected significant gold mineralization (see the Company’s April 8, 2005 and May 4, 2005 press releases). These results, along with drilling data from the 1980’s, confirm that the F zone has a minimum strike length of 415 meters, a width of 65 to 100 meters and a depth from surface varying from about 50 meters to 160 meters. The F zone is subvertical, strikes in an east-west direction and consists of disseminated fine gold and pyrite mineralization hosted by potassic-altered, partly silicified, fine-grained granodiorite porphyry and metasediments.

Osisko management is very pleased with these results, which confirm the porphyry-gold nature of the mineralization and the economic potential of the property. Management is certain that the historical gold resource on the F zone can be significantly increased, given that the strike length of the deposit has been doubled. These factors are important to the Company’s objective of defining an economic, bulk-tonnage gold deposit on the property that is amenable to open pit mining.

A drill hole location map is available for review on Osisko’s web site. The average grades were calculated using a lower cut-off of 0.50 g/t Au over 10 m. All reported assays were done by standard 50 g fire assaying-AA finish at ALS Chemex laboratories in Val d’Or, Quebec.

(OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that data compilation on its 100%-owned Canadian Malartic property has outlined a gold mineralized system that offers a potential for approximately 100 million metric tons grading between 1.00 g/t and 1.35 g/t Au, yielding a potential resource of 3.2 to 4.3 million ounces gold. The potential quantities and grades reported above are conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient work to date to define a NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource on the property. Furthermore, it is uncertain if additional exploration will result in discovery of an economic mineral resource on the property. The deposit is an Archean porphyry gold system, consisting of a widespread shell of disseminated gold and pyrite mineralization hosted by diorite porphyry and altered metasediments. The potential deposit referred to above is based on compilation of data from over 5000 historical surface and underground holes and of twenty-two holes drilled to date by Osisko. Geological modeling of the deposit along 20 vertical sections spaced 60 metres apart indicates that the mineralized system is 1200 metres long by 350 metres wide, with a variable true thickness ranging from 60 to 270 metres to a vertical depth of 320 metres from surface. Average grade of the mineralized body is estimated to lie between 1.00 g/t and 1.35 g/t Au, based on a weighted average of 1.17 g/t Au from analyses of holes drilled by Osisko and applying a 15% margin of error. The potential tonnage of approximately 100 million metric tonnes has been calculated assuming an average true thickness of 90 metres and an average rock density of 2.65 tonnes per cubic metre. The mineralized system is open to the west and to the south at depth. The above-quoted figures are reported as an exploration target, based on reasonable assumptions made from compiled data. These figures should not be construed to reflect a calculated resource (inferred, indicated or measured) under standards of National Instrument 43-101. Management believes that the Canadian Malartic project offers potential for a near surface gold deposit located near existing infrastructure, which may ultimately be evaluated as an open pit, bulk tonnage mine. Osisko will maintain the current drill program on the property to the end of 2005 with the objective of calculating and releasing a NI 43-101 compliant, inferred gold resource by early 2006. Sie haben uns eine Probe des goldhaltigen Gesteins aus dem Malartic-Projekt in Quebec mitgebracht.

Was Sie hier sehen, könnte zeigen, dass es sich bei Malartic um ein potenzielles Porphyr-Vorkommen handelt. Ein Porphyr-Gold-System, das anders wäre, als andere Goldvorkommen entlang des Cadillac Breaks im Gebiet Abitibi. Niemand hat zuvor in diesem Gebiet Porphyr-Gold-Vorkommen exploriert. Traditionell ist der Goldbergbau in Quebec und Ontario auf tiefer gelegene Goldadern unter Tage ausgerichtet. Wir warten zwar nicht mit derart goldhaltigem Gestein auf, dafür haben wir aber eine größere Trefferquote bei der Exploration und könnten am Ende sehr viel günstiger im Tagebau produzieren. Das Gold in den Gesteinsproben, die Sie hier sehen, ist homogen verteilt. Das bedeutet auch, dass wir die Cyanid-Bleichung anwenden könnten.

In Malartic suchen Sie also nicht die Nadel im Heuhaufen, sondern haben es mit großen Mengen Gestein mit breit gestreuten kleinen bis mittleren Goldanteilen zu tun.

Unser goldhaltiges Gestein lässt sich nicht nur leicht verarbeiten. Auf Grund der gleichmäßigen Verteilung des Goldes im Gestein können wir viel präziser angeben, über wie viel Gold wir verfügen. Bei einem Abschnitt mit sehr hohen Goldgehalten tritt der so genannte Nugget-Effekt auf: Spätere Bohrungen, oder gar die Produktion selbst, können erste Explorationsergebnisse nicht bestätigen. In Malartic jedoch sehen wir sehr durchgängig 1 bis 2,5 Gramm Gold pro Tonne. Bezogen auf unsere Exploration fühlen wir uns daher in einer vergleichsweise komfortablen Situation, die Ergebnisse des dort zuletzt aktiven Unternehmens Lac Minerals zu verifizieren und ständig erweitern zu können.

Porphyr-Großlagerstätte in Malartic.

Betrachten Sie die bevorzugten Lagerstätten der großen Minengesellschaften. Diese suchen für den Tagebau geeignete Großlagerstätten mit niedrigen oder mittleren Goldgehalten. Die Branchenriesen interessieren sich nicht sonderlich für hochgradige, aber relativ kleine Lagerstätten unter Tage.

Die Erkenntnis einer solchen Lagerstätte in Quebec ist neu. Viele Porphyr-Experten waren geradezu schockiert, andere reagieren immer noch ungläubig, dass diese Art der potenziellen Großlagerstätte so lange unbeachtet blieb. Wenn Sie unser Gestein betrachten, sehen Sie ihm dessen Goldgehalt mit bloßem Auge nicht an. Dieses unscheinbare und an sich wenig aufregend aussehende Gestein enthält mehr Gold als manch anderes Gestein mit sichtbarem Goldeinschluss. Wir setzen alles daran, Malartic in eine große Abbaustätte zu verwandeln.

Was unterscheidet Sie sonst noch von anderen Goldexplorationsgesellschaften?

Das sind neben vielen anderen Dingen zum Beispiel die Investitionshilfen, die die Provinz Quebec uns als Goldminengesellschaft gewährt. Diese stehen im Gegensatz zum so genannten Flow-Through-Financing, bei dem die individuellen Investoren Steuererleichterungen erhalten können, indem Sie, entsprechend dem Umfang Ihres Engagements in das Unternehmen, die Explorationskosten des Goldminenunternehmens von ihrem persönlich zu versteuernden Einkommen abziehen können, um Steuern zu sparen. Wenn Osisko eine Mio. Dollar investiert, erhält das Unternehmen 500.000 Dollar von der Provinz Quebec zurück! Mit unserer Finanzierung durch die EurAsia Holding AG von Deutschland aus haben wir den Vorteil, die Hälfte der Kosten rückerstattet zu bekommen.

Welche allgemeinen Besonderheiten sehen Sie bezogen auf Ihr Malartic-Projekt in Quebec noch?

Für eine Großlagerstätte wie in Malartic sind nicht so sehr die Kosten für Öl, sondern vielmehr die Kosten für Elektrizität bedeutsam. Es wird beim anvisierten Abbau unserer potenziellen Goldlagerstätte viel Strom benötigt. Auf Grund der notwendigen großen Maschinen reagieren die Produktionskosten auch nicht sonderlich sensibel auf die höheren Löhne hier in Kanada. In Quebec sind die Kosten für Elektrizität nahezu die niedrigsten weltweit. Quebec ist mit seinen Staudämmen einer der größten Stromlieferanten Nordamerikas.

Ist die Exploration für Osisko auch im Winter möglich? Wie ist das Klima, in dem Sie tätig sind?

Wir sind im wärmeren Süden von Quebec und können daher dort auch im Winter arbeiten. Es sind genügend feste Straßen vorhanden. Wir haben das ganze Jahr durch Zugang zum Explorationsgebiet.


UNTERNEHMEN

Schildern Sie bitte unseren Lesern den Umfang Ihrer potenziellen Großlagerstätte in Malartic!

Wir versuchen derzeit, das Goldvorkommen in Canadian Malartic zu definieren. Unser Ziel ist es, ein großes Vorkommen mit potenziell über 100 Mio. Tonnen goldhaltigem Gestein zu identifizieren, bei mehr als einem vermutetem Gramm Gold pro Tonne. Wie wir in unserer im Juli veröffentlichten Pressemitteilung ausführen, beträgt die Länge der mineralisierten Zone wahrscheinlich 1200 Meter, die Breite 350 bis 400 Meter und die Dicke zwischen 80 und 250 Meter. Die Schlussfolgerungen daraus wurden meiner Meinung nach noch nicht von allen Beobachtern gewürdigt, wie Sie am aktuellen Aktienkurs ablesen können. Wenn Sie beispielsweise 1200 m mal 350 m mal 100 m multiplizieren, erhalten Sie potentiell 42 Mio. Kubikmeter goldhaltiges Gestein. Bei einer möglichen Dichte von 2,7 Tonnen pro Kubikmeter Gestein wären dies, so mutmaßen wir, um die 113 Mio. Tonnen. Mit eventuell 1,1 Gramm Gold pro Tonne ergäben sich hypothetisch 3,8 Mio. Feinunzen Gold. Diese Angaben sind jedoch noch nicht durch das NI 43-101 bestätigt.

Derzeit testen wir den Goldgehalt und die Verteilung der Goldmineralisierungen, um das Potenzial einer solchen Großlagerstätte zu ermitteln. Die letzten drei Bohrungen haben wir vertikal im östlichen Ende des Gebietes vorgenommen, wie wir in einer Pressemitteilung Ende August mitteilten. Die Ergebnisse sind sehr ermutigend, denn sie lassen weiterhin eine durchgehende Mineralisierung auf eine Länge von über 1200 Meter vermuten.

Welche Firmenbewertung können Sie sich für Osisko vorstellen?

Eines der größten Explorationsberatungsunternehmen schätzt Firmen pro Feinunze im Boden mit einer Marktkapitalisierung von 35 bis 40 Dollar ein. Bei unseren der eigenen Einschätzung nach drei Mio. Feinunzen Gold müsste für Osisko demgemäß ein Firmenwert von 120 Mio. Dollar resultieren, ohne dass überhaupt produziert wird. Eine solche Marktkapitalisierung erwarten wir für Osisko nach unseren Bohrungen. Zurzeit notieren wir bei etwa 11 Mio. Dollar.

Wie schnell werden Sie in Malartic in Produktion gehen können?

Unser Fokus liegt weniger auf Grassroot-Exploration. Wir bieten unseren Aktionären mit Malartic ein solides Projekt. Dies ist kein Joint Venture. Das Gebiet befindet sich zu 100 % in unserem Besitz. Das Unternehmen und der Grundbesitz sind schuldenfrei. Nur 2,5 km vom Vorkommen entfernt befindet sich die East Malartic Mill. Diese hat eine Kapazität von 3.500 Tonnen pro Tag. Der Besitzer, die Regierung Quebecs, will sie verkaufen und wir sehen gute Chancen, den Zuschlag zu erhalten. Es gibt eine asphaltierte Straße zum Malartic-Projekt und wir verfügen über Räumlichkeiten des ehemaligen Grubenmanagers vor Ort. Bei voller Finanzierung hätten wir die Möglichkeit, die Produktion innerhalb von 24 bis 48 Monaten anzustoßen. Einige unserer Aktionäre würden es vorziehen, möglichst bald in Produktion zu gehen. Wir wollen auf unsere geologischen Fähigkeiten bauen und unsere Ressourcenschätzung mit Hilfe weiterer Bohrungen erhärten und erweitern. Darauf liegt unsere Priorität.
Malartic-Projekt

Wir werden in den nächsten Monaten das Bohrprogramm gemäß den Anforderungen nach 43-101 vorantreiben. Wir werden kontinuierlich Bohrresultate und entsprechende Pressemitteilungen veröffentlichen können: Bis Ende des Jahres oder Anfang 2006 hoffen wir das potenzielle Vorkommen als eine „inferred Ressource“ ausweisen zu können. Die Pre-Feasibility-Arbeiten würden im ersten Quartal 2006 beginnen. Die Ausweisung als „indicated Ressource“ würde weitere 4.000 Meter Bohrungen benötigen und wäre nach unserem Zeitplan für das Jahr 2006 bestimmt. Dies würde den Markt und die großen Goldminenfirmen definitiv überzeugen. Ende 2006 oder Anfang 2007 würde eine „indicated Ressource“ es uns erlauben, die Feasibility-Studie in Angriff zu nehmen.

Werden Sie die nahe liegende East Malartic Mill erwerben?

Die Goldmühle in unserer Nähe wurde bis 2002 von Barrick betrieben. Die Mühle wurde seither in Schuss gehalten und ist heute betriebsbereit. Die Regierung Quebecs hat nach wie vor Verkaufsabsichten. Wir erwarten deren Entscheidung im dritten oder vierten Quartal.

Malartic Mill

Wem gehörte Malartic-Projekt zuvor? Und warum wurde es so lange übersehen?

Frühere Explorationsarbeiten wurden von dem großen Unternehmen Lac Minerals durchgeführt. Das Unternehmen war sowohl global als auch in Kanada aktiv. Lac Minerals war in einen bitter umkämpften Rechtsstreit verwickelt und verlor dadurch das so genannte Hemlo Camp. Das war für das Unternehmen der Anlass, alle Explorationstätigkeiten einschließlich Malartic einzustellen, um sich auf den Bergbau zu konzentrieren. Barrick kaufte all diese Vermögenswerte auf, präferierte die Teile in Nevada und Südamerika und veräußerte den Rest. So gelangte Malartic in unsere Hände. Die letzten Explorationsarbeiten in Malartic wurden von Lac Minerals durchgeführt. Lac stand bereits vor über 15 Jahren mit 520,000 explorierten Feinunzen Gold im Boden vor der Entscheidung über eine Feasibility-Studie und einen Produktionsbeginn. Seit 15 Jahren aber schlummerte Malartic vor sich hin und wartete darauf, wieder entdeckt zu werden. Firmen müssen einige Daten der Regierung zugänglich machen. Die Projektdaten waren größtenteils jedoch nur intern zugänglich. Als wir die Daten von Lac Minerals genauer ansahen waren wir positiv überrascht. Wir sind zuversichtlich, das Vorkommen noch auszuweiten.

Wie hoch werden die Kosten der Produktion sein?

Die Cash Operating Costs werden unserer Einschätzung nach bei 200 bis 250 USD liegen. Eine ähnliche Goldmine in Quebec operiert derzeit bei 250 USD, allerdings mit kleinerem Vorkommen als Osisko und infrastrukturell eher abgelegen. Bei unserem Malartic-Projekt sind Abraumhalden [Tailing Ponds] bereits vorhanden und Hochspannungsleitungen ebenfalls verfügbar.

Auf welchen Erkenntnissen basieren Ihre Einschätzungen bzgl. der Goldvorkommen?

Wir rechnen mit drei bis vier Mio. Feinunzen Gold. Unsere Aussagen stützen sich auf Ergebnisse von den Bohrungen vergangener Explorationsunternehmen und auf eigene Bohrungen: 1500 Bohrungen an der Oberfläche und 4500 Bohrlöcher unterirdisch. Mit Infill-Bohrungen werden wir diese Ressource gemäß den Bestimmungen nach 43-101 hoffentlich zu einer großen Goldreserve mit drei bis vier Mio. Feinunzen Gold verwandeln. Dies wird vielleicht eines der wichtigsten Bergbau-Erfolgsgeschichten Quebecs oder gar Kanadas in diesem und im nächsten Jahr werden, mit vielleicht einem der größten Großlagerstätten in Abitibi. In der Region Abitibi wurden bis heute 120 Mio. Feinunzen Gold geschürft.

Ich nehme an, Sie wollen die Aufmerksamkeit großer Goldminengesellschaften auf sich lenken.

Wir werden in Malartic selbst bergbautechnisch aktiv sein. Malartic ist ein Company Maker. Wir wurden schon von mehreren großen Minengesellschaften angesprochen und es gibt ein ausgesprochenes Interesse. Wir treten jedoch nicht als mögliche Braut auf den Markt. Mit Hilfe von Eurasia behalten wir die Kontrolle über die Mehrheitsverhältnisse bei Osisko.

Neben Ihrem Projekt in Quebec sind Sie auch in Brasilien aktiv. Wie sind Sie auf Brasilien aufmerksam geworden?

Wir arbeiten an der Erweiterung des Castelo dos Sonhos Projektes in Brasilien. Auf dieses Projekt sind wir über eine Gruppe um den Brasilien-Experten Bob Mason von der Queens University aufmerksam geworden. Wir wollten Synergien nutzen. So wie wir Quebec in- und auswendig kennen, so geht es dieser Gruppe mit Brasilien. Bob Mason hat sich seit vielen Jahren mit dem Projekt Castelo beschäftigt und wir haben die finanziellen Mittel zur Verfügung gestellt, um dort aktiv zu werden. Für Castelo dos Sonhos haben wir einen potenziellen Partner. Wir erwarten Nachrichten über Castelo dos Sonhos bis Ende des Jahres. Wir versuchen das Projekt derzeit zu 100% zu akquirieren. Zur Zeit halten wir lediglich 70%.

Was ist mit Ihren Projekten Launay, Barry und Payne Bay?

Wir haben auch das weitere Projekt Launay in Quebec, welches wir in den dafür ausreichend trockenen Monaten August und September bearbeiten. In Launay führen wir nur vorbereitende Erkundungen durch und nehmen Proben. Dort werden wir noch genauer die geologischen Gegebenheiten prüfen. Bei Barry haben wir uns zu einer Beendigung entschlossen und sind nicht länger beteiligt. Payne Bay ist ein Nickel-Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit Virginia Gol Mines. Für dieses Projekt halten wir die Rechte, aber führen derzeit keine Arbeiten dort durch.

Was können Sie uns über Ihren größten Aktionär Eurasia mitteilen?

Mit der in Deutschland ansässigen Eurasia Holding haben wir enge Kontakte nach Deutschland. Eurasia besitzt 14,7 Mio. von insgesamt 33,7 Mio. umlaufenden Aktien. Bei voller Ausübung aller Optionen sind es 43 Mio. Aktien. Durch unseren Hauptaktionär Eurasia sind wir vor einer feindlichen Übernahme geschützt. Eurasia hat bis dato 3,5 Mio. Dollar in das Unternehmen investiert. Wir versuchen, die Verwässerung gering zu halten. Die meisten Optionen gingen an Eurasia und einige an einen Investment Fonds in Kanada. Eurasia übt seine Optionen aus, um die Bohrprogramme zu finanzieren.

Schildern Sie uns bitte, wie das Management und die Directors of the Board bei Osisko zusammen gefunden haben!

Wir sind ein Management-Team mit jeweils über 20 Jahren Erfahrung in der Eploration. Das Management bei Osisko hat einen besonderen persönlichen und beruflichen Bezug zu Quebec. President Robert Wares ist ein langjähriger Mining-Professional mit einem Abschluss in Geologie der McGill University 1979. Er hat viele Jahre für die Regierung Quebecs gearbeitet. Er wurde als Mitglied im Geologenverband Quebecs aufgenommen, ist Porphyr-Spezialist und hat als Berater für Noranda und einige Ölfirmen wie Kennecott Canada gearbeitet. Auch für viele in Vancouver gelistete Junior-Firmen war er erfolgreich tätig.

"Unser President startete das Unternehmen Osisko Exploration 1998. Im Jahr 2003 sprach er unseren heutigen Chief Geological Consultant John Burzynski auf eine konkrete Zusammenarbeit an. Unser President startete das Unternehmen Osisko Exploration 1998. Im Jahr 2003 sprach er unseren heutigen Chief Geological Consultant John Burzynski auf eine konkrete Zusammenarbeit an. Durch ihn kam er auch in Kontakt mit mir und Director Norman Storm von unserem Hauptaktionär Eurasia Holding. Eurasia wollte zu jener Zeit in ein zu explorierendes und in größerem Maßstab abbaubares potenzielles Goldvorkommen diversifizieren. Schließlich konnten wir letztes Jahr das Projekt Malartic akquirieren, wobei Eurasia die anfänglichen Explorationsprogramme in Kanada und Brasilien finanzierte.

John Burzynski hat zuvor für IGR/Echo Bay Mines Ghana gearbeitet. IGR wurde von Ashanti übernommen. Daneben war er auch für das Unternehmen Pangea Goldfields Tanzania tätig, welches von Barrick aufgekauft wurde.

Ich bin Chief Operating Officer bei Osisko. Ich habe 1984 ein Studium an der Haileybury School of Mines erfolgreich abgeschlossen und war 22 Jahre lang im Minengeschäft tätig. Meine letzte Position vor Osisko war der Director of Operations Manager and Administration für das heute in Toronto börsengelistete Unternehmen Etruscan Resources, das über die große Tagebau-Goldmine Samira Hill Libiri in Niger verfügte. Dort hatte ich es mit einer ähnlichen Ausgangssituation zu tun wie heute - mit dem Unterschied, dass Malartic noch sehr viel größer sein könnte. Zuvor arbeitete ich für Placer Dome, Echo Bay und das Bohrtechnikunternehmen Boart Longyear.

Ich verfolge ständig die aufkommenden Junior-Bergbaugesellschaften. Dabei habe ich das Gefühl, dass Osisko vor einem Kursausbruch steht. Im Moment schwimmen wir noch in der Masse der Juniors mit. Ich denke aber, dass sich dies bald ändert. Osisko wird unter den kanadischen Bergbauexperten Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen und sich einen Namen machen.

OSISKO RELEASES ADDITIONAL DRILL RESULTS AT MALARTIC (Montreal, September 22, 2005) Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce the latest drilling results from the Phase Two drill program on its 100%-owned Canadian Malartic gold property, located in the Abitibi region of Quebec. The current program is testing grade and distribution of gold mineralization in the Canadian Malartic deposit to depths of 250 to 300 metres in order to confirm the potential for a large bulk-tonnage gold deposit. The latest two holes of the Phase Two program were drilled vertically near the eastern end of the property. This section will be re-tested with drill hole CM05-681, collared 12 metres to the north of CM05-675. The on-going Phase Two drill program is confirming continuity of mineralization over the interpreted 1200 metre strike length of the deposit. The results tabled above were calculated using a weighted average cut-off of 0.4 g/t Au over 20 metres. Grade variation throughout most of the holes is between 0.5 g/t Au and 2.0 g/t Au. All holes intersected sediment-hosted mineralization followed by porphyry-hosted mineralization at depth. True thickness of the mineralized zone in the eastern portion of the property is estimated at 90 metres. The remaining six holes of the Phase Two program are testing the central portion the deposit over a 360 metre strike length. The Phase Three drill program, which will consist of systematic grid drilling on the western portion of the property, is scheduled to begin in November 2005. Management is very pleased with drill results obtained to date. The Canadian Malartic property hosts potential for a significant gold resource (see the Company’s September 8, 2005 press release) that is located near existing infrastructure. Osisko will continue drilling on the property with the objective of calculating and releasing a NI 43-101 compliant, inferred gold resource by early 2006, which will ultimately be evaluated as an open pit, bulk tonnage mining operation. All reported assays were done by standard 50 g fire assaying-AA finish at ALS Chemex laboratories in Val d’Or, Quebec. Mr. Robert Wares, P. Geo. and President of Osisko, is the Qualified Person responsible for the preparation of this news release.

Summary
Last November Osisko Exploration acquired a 100% interest (subject to a 2-3% NSR) in the
Canadian Malartic Mine Property 20 km west of Val d’Or, Quebec. It came with a *historic gold
resource of 500,000 ozs hosted in five near-surface zones as largely outlined by Lac Minerals Ltd.
between 1984 – 1986.
By early 2006 Osisko hope to have an updated resource (NI 43-101 compliant), substantially
boosted to 3 - 4 million ozs of gold. They plan to do this by drilling outside of the defined resource
boundaries, as it appears that Lac Minerals confined their resource calculation to only the central
portions of the deposit.
To be sure, there will be lots of drill testing; along the strike length of the zones, to deeper depths,
twinning holes for verification, and infill holes along certain sections.
Zone F was the first to be test drilled this Spring and Summer. It appears to have met with success.
Every one of the holes (approx 20 holes) intersected gold mineralization and more importantly the
strike length was doubled to 410 m, with the depth doubling in some areas to 230 m and an average
width of 80 m encountered. Predicated on the above dimensions and as an example, the resource of
Zone F might jump from 116,000 ozs to upwards of 500,000 ozs Au (410m x 90m x 150m x2.65 x
1.17 g/t divide 34.2658 = 500,827 ozs Au).
Current drilling consists of 32 holes (8,000 m) to be finished by the end of October, then to be
followed by definition drilling of 12,000 m scheduled for completion in mid-December.
Defining ore deposits is a risky business and will always be so, but some appear more promising
than others.
We look forward to the updated resource in the New Year that might be substantially boosted.
*Non-compliant with NI 43-101 Standard
Malartic Property
The Canadian Malartic Property is located on Highway 117, about 20 km west of Val d’Or Quebec
and adjoins the southern boundary of its namesake town, Malartic. Last November Osisko acquired
a 100% interest in this former Lac Minerals’ property that included a database of 5,000 surface and
underground drill holes outlining a gold *resource of 520,000 ozs in five zones as follows:
*Wolfe Zone 3,929,250 tonnes @ 2.00 g/t Au 252,510 ozs Au
*F Zone 2,039,018 “ @ 1.78 g/t Au 116,875 “

Total 8,161,536 tonnes @ 1.98 grams/tonne Au (520,865 ozs Au)
*This is a historical resource compiled by Lac Minerals and is not compliant with NI 43-101.
However it is considered relevant for comparison and analytical purposes. A “resource” by
definition has no demonstrated economic viability as contrasted to a “reserve” that is an integral part
of a feasibility study.

The management of Osisko Exploration have analyzed Lac’s data and decided the global deposit has
a reasonably good chance of increasing to 100 million tonnes from the above-stated 8.1 million
tonnes. They rationalize the 5 zones as actually surface expressions of a much larger, low-grade,
continuous gold system extending to a depth of 350 m. To date, their geologic exploration model
indicates a grid (see Osisko website for diagram) measuring 1,200 m x 350 m with variable true
thickness ranging from 60 to 270 m to a vertical depth of 320 m. “The potential tonnage of 100
million tonnes has been calculated assuming an average true thickness of 90 m and average rock
density of 2.65 tonnes per cubic m… [and for the 3 to 4 million oz estimate] a weighted average
grade of 1.17 g/t Au”.
Test drilling commenced last March in the current 32 hole program with encouraging results from
22 holes so far – everyone of them intersected gold mineralization. A few examples are: hole 652,
143 m 1.01 g/t; hole 656, 97.8 m 1.64 g/t; hole 664, 125 m 0.82 g/t and hole 671, 155 m 1.59 g/t
Au.
Nineteen of the 22 holes were located at the western end (F Zone) of the deposit with the other 3 at
the far eastern side. Assays from 8 holes should be available in the next few weeks testing a 480 m
strike length of the total 1,200 m exploration target.
Caveat – part of the deposit adjoins and overlaps the southern boundary of the Malartic town site.
We don’t believe this should be of serious consequence since this is a mining community. However,
it is a “cloud” to be recognized.
Conclusion
Osisko’s near term objective is to “drill off” the potential 100 million tonne resource (with an
approx. 2.1 strip ratio). Toward that end, they plan to complete the current 32 hole (8,000 m) drill
program by the end of October to be followed by 12,000 m of definition drilling which should
continue into the New Year.
The drilling completed may be used in a preliminary assessment (scoping study) to determine the
viability of an economic, open pit bulk tonnage mining of a near surface gold deposit.
Providing everything remains positive, a detailed grid drilling program of 45,000 m with 60 m
centers is planned for 2006.
The current program appears to be promising and if Osisko are able to prove their exploration
model of 3 – 4 million ozs of gold, the value of the company would increase substantially.
The next set of assays covering the 480 m strike in the 1,200 m grid length should be quite
eventful…..
History - Malartic Camp
Located about 20 km west of Val d’Or, Quebec and part of the Abitibi Gold Belt, the Malartic Gold
Camp produced over 5 million ozs of gold between 1935 and 1965 from three mines. Traveling
from East to West they are: East Malartic; Sladen Malartic; and Canadian Malartic.
Osisko holds a 100% interest in the Canadian Malartic deposit discovered in 1926. It was in
production from 1935 - 1965 producing 1.1 million ozs of gold grading from 3 to 6 g/t – the overall
grade and tonnage was 9.9 Mt @ 3.37 g/t. z which caused it to have the reputation of being the only

underground bulk tonnage gold mine in Quebec at that time. Underground long-hole stoping was
the reported mining method employed. Milling and standard cyanide leaching returned 90% average
recovery over the life of the mine.
Lac Minerals purchased the property in 1979 and conducted exploration with the objective of
finding a near surface (< 100 m deep) bulk deposit amenable to open pit mining – they found 5
near-surface gold zones forming a aggregate historical resource (pre National Instrument 43-101) of
520,000 ozs gold or approximately 8.1 million tones grading 1.98 g/t. Metallurgical tests indicated
non-refractory ore with recoveries of 86% to 90% on a standard cyanide leach circuit (exclusive of
CIP)
Barrick Gold acquired the Lac Mineral Gold Corporation in 1994 and in 2003 sold the property to
McWatters Mining who encountered financial difficulty in 2004. That presented Osisko with the
opportunity to buy the property from McWatters’ liquidating trustee for $80,000 cash. Barrick Gold
retain a sliding scale Net Smelter Royalty of 2 – 3% all depending on the price of gold.
Similar Deposit
Osisko’s management believe the closest comparable Archean, bulk tonnage, open pit mine would
be Inmet Mining Corp.’s (INM.TSX - $19.25) Troilus Mine located north of Chibougamau. It is an
intrusion-related Cu-Au deposit with reported proven and probable reserves of 33.1 Mt grading 1.1
g/t Au-equivalent. In 2004 they processed 16,500 tpd per day (1.6 strip ratio) with plans to expand
to 18,500 tpd – gold equivalent production for 2004 totaled 150,000 ozs gold at a cash cost of US
$263.

Launay Property
41 claims situated in the Abitibi Gold Camp. Grab samples assaying up to 7 g/t Au and 3%
molybdenum have been chipped from a granitoid porphyry.
Castelo Dos Sonhos Pty, Brazil
13 exploration permits in the Tapajos Gold Province – this area has produced over 20 million ozs of
gold since the early 1950’s mainly from alluvial deposits. In the mid-90’s Barrick Gold defined two
significant gold zones, each over 3.5 km long. It is situated in the southeastern portion of the
Amazon craton.

ich ergreife hier weder deine partei noch die von sonstwem, aber es nervt einfach und kostet zeit (für mich sehr wertvoll), wenn ein dialog hier ohne facts stattfindet.

was eurasia angeht - die kenne ich kaum. aber wie stellst du dir denn das vor, dass die ihre 40%+ wieder loswerden? an kleinaktionäre? wohl kaum... an große investoren - doch nur wenn die fundamentals stimmen. wenn ich ein paar millionen in so ein projekt investiere, dann mache ich das doch nicht, um dem dripple8 und dem menglovator ein paar aktien umzuhängen...?

wenn ich mich für eine Aktie wieder neu interessiere, dann nehme ich auch hier an Diskussionen teil, frage nach oder gebe meinen positiven oder negativen Senf dazu.
Wenn meine Phantasie nicht so weit wie die der anderen User reicht, dann ist das halt so.
Tatsächliche viele Fakten gibt es für mich nicht, darum auch meine Fragen.

"OSISKO COMMENCES MALARTIC PHASE THREE DRILL PROGRAM
(Montreal, December 12, 2005) Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is pleased to announce that the Phase Three drill program has commenced on its 100%-owned Canadian Malartic gold property, located in the Abitibi region of Quebec. Two drill rigs will be turning for the Phase Three program, which will focus on the western portion of the Canadian Malartic deposit.
The Phase Three and Four programs (total of 27,000 metres) have been outlined and are part of a series of definition drilling programs slated for 2006 that will grid-drill the entire deposit (60 meter grid for a total of approximately 40,000 metres) with the objective of defining a National Instrument 43-101 compliant indicated resource by early 2007.
The Canadian Malartic property hosts potential for a significant gold resource (see the Company’s September 8, 2005 press release) that is located near existing infrastructure. In the shorter term, the Company will hire an independent firm in order to calculate an NI 43-101 compliant, inferred gold resource by spring 2006, based on the existing historic database and holes drilled to date by Osisko.
Osisko is also pleased to announce the final results of the Phase Two program, which was designed to confirm grade and distribution of gold mineralization along the 1200 metre strike length of the deposit. Results are positive and are tabled below:

Although, as previously reported, CM05-679 intersected underground mine workings and failed to reach its target, significant mineralization was nevertheless intersected above the stope, including a high grade mineralized fracture zone that assayed 62.3 g/t Au over 1.5 metres (true width unknown). Drill hole CM05-680 tested the central portion of the deposit and did not intersect significant mineralization, as predicted from the geological model that indicated a gap in the mineralized system. Drill hole CM05-682 tested the north-central portion of the deposit and was inclined 60 degrees, where it intersected the mineralized system over a total true width of 84 metres. DDH CM92-5A represents core recovered from a series of geotechnical holes drilled by Barrick Corp. in 1992. The mineralization observed in this core is representative of material left in the crown (true thickness of 14 metres) overlying old mine workings in the central portion of the deposit.
Sean Roosen, COO of Osisko, stated “Management is very pleased with all drill results obtained to date as they have confirmed expected continuity of the mineralized system. Our commitment to the 40,000 metre definition drill program demonstrates management’s belief in the quality of the Canadian Malartic project. Gute Threads sollte man -bei allem Schrott der z.Z. empfohlen wird- wieder mal nach oben holen.
Daran sieht man dann auch mal wie lange es dauert
bis eine solche Aktie 1200% bringt!

Ich hab´s heute einmal mit einer kleinen Testorder versucht. Ca. 200 Stücke zu Limit 4 USD (absichtlich hoch).
Hat über 30 Minuten gedauert, bis die Order ausgeführt wurde. Entweder der Makler pennt oder es gibt kein Mensch Stücke her. Selbst zu so einem Limit nicht.

Gold wird uns noch Freude machen, das gibt noch einen schönen Nachbrenner für unsere OSK´s.

Was wird mit einer Aktie demnächst passieren bei der 8!!! verschiedene Broker zu 3,25 eingestiegen sind
Ich sach ma 6 Can Doll ist mein nächstes Kursziel bis Ende September.
