So langsam wird die APPLE Aktie wieder interessant. Werde mich mal langsam wieder einkaufen...

Hat sich doch gelohnt, sind jetzt knapp 20% in 4 Wochen ! Apple hat mich doch in den letzten Jahren noch nie im Stich gelassen ...

Ich nutze Apple beruflich wie auch privat, aber ohne Firefox geht bei mir gar nichts.

Übrigens muß man unterscheiden zwischen Kalenderjahr und Geschäfts- bzw. Fiskaljahr bei Apple. Denn das Geschäftsjahr geht bei Apple von von 1.10.x bis zum 30.09.x+1.

Intel's plans may offer the best Rosetta stone for decoding the secretive Apple chief executive's intentions. The latest clue will come Wednesday in Shanghai at the Intel Developer Forum, where the chip maker will detail its new lineup of low-cost, low-power processors, dubbed Atom, for handheld devices and embedded gizmos.

The new line of processors are part of an effort by the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chip giant to bust open new markets for the so-called x86 processors used in most of the world's desktop and laptop computers. (See: " Intel Goes Atomic") Intel[{b] (INTC) announced more than 20 customers for the new chips Monday, including Fujitsu, Lenovo, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp and Toshiba.

Intel's most intriguing customer, however, isn't showing its intentions. This is despite the fact that analysts say Apple (AAPL) will almost certainly dip into Intel's new line of processors, as they grow both more power-efficient and more powerful. "They are going to pick and choose, they are not going to be anybody's stooge," said Roger Kay, president of tech-tracker Endpoint Technologies Associates. Eventually, however, Kay said he sees Apple building "what I imagine is a slightly bigger version of the iPhone, or the iPod Touch" around Intel's chips.

And while Apple is far from Intel's biggest customer, where Apple goes, the rest of the industry tends to follow. Take a look at Dell (DELL) and Gateway's iMac knockoffs, introduced last year, for a case-study in Apple's influence.

So what do Atom's specs tell us? The new processors will run at speeds of up to 1.83 Ghz--cranking out performance comparable to a 2004 era notebook--while using only modest amounts of power. The result will be a new class of pocket-sized, battery-powered gizmos, which Intel says will begin shipping later this quarter. And, unlike today's personal digital assistants, Intel boasts such devices will be able to run PC-class operating systems, such as Windows Vista.

Such a gizmo sounds an awful lot like the tablet-sized, Web-surfing touch-screen gizmo some speculate Apple is working on. If so, it won't come cheap. Intel will sell a kit including its latest chip starting at $45, and figures devices built around its new offering will go for $500, plus or minus $100.

Of course, with Apple, timing is always the big mystery. But, eventually Endpoint's Kay says an iteration of Intel's new processors will end up in the iPhone, even if Apple decides to pass on Intel's first batch of Atom processors. "I just think the platform is too good, particularly the 2009 version," Kay said.
