irgendwas ist faul mit Apple 2/2

von 2013-2018:

• nahm das EPS um +16.0 p.a. zu
• nahmen die Shares used in computing earnings per share um -5.2% p.a. ab

=> in Wahrheit nahm das EPS in diesem Zeitraum also "nur" um +10.8% p.a. zu (ist immer noch hoch, aber das ist eine andere Diskussion)

=> das sind ja Zustände (mittlerweile) wie bei IBM -- irgendwie schon ein bischen schamlos


--> wenn ich annehme, daß das von +10.8% auf +6% p.a. die nächsten 10 Jahre abkühlt (und @ +10% Discount rate; 10Y term.growth @ +3% + Tangible Book Value), dann komme ich auf einen Total fair value von ~USD180

--> also etwas mehr als jetzt bei ~USD172

--> dann würde ich sagen, wäre Apple erst unter ~USD180*(1-1/3) = USD120 im ineffizienten Bereich angekommen (all other things equal)


--> das gilt aber alles nur, wenn Apple auch weiterhin seine Gewinne (pro "ehrlicher" Aktie ) im Mittel steigern kann; gleich mal angefangen im GJ2019

The plaintiffs are a group of consumers pursuing a class-action lawsuit seeking damages on behalf of people who have purchased iPhone apps. They argue that prices are higher than they would be in a competitive market because Apple requires that all software for its phones be sold and purchased through its App Store.

App developers can only reach iPhone users through Apple’s store, and the company charges the developers a 30% commission.

The case came to the high court Monday on the indirect but critical question of who has the legal right to sue over Apple’s alleged monopoly.

The iPhone maker argues that consumers can’t sue because the company doesn’t directly set app prices, a responsibility that lies with the app developers. Apple says it only serves as a conduit, and consumers aren’t really buying apps from the company...
