Akie Zinc-Lead Deposit (in British Columbia / 65% Beteiligung - 35% Ecstall Mining)

Inferred Resource: In 1995 Inmet Mining Corporation , the previous operator, calculated an inferred resource*, based on four widely spaced (+200m) drill holes, of 13 million tonnes grading 8.52 zinc, 1.47% lead, and 13.24 gr silver/tonne . Contained within a larger (+50 million tonnes) body of massive sphalerite-galena-pyrite-barite mineralization.

Between 1992 and 1996 approximately $5.4 million was spent exploring the property, including approximately 13,000 meters of diamond drilling.


Armstrong Brook Gold Property (75% Beteiligung mit Geodex Minerals Ltd )

Inferred Resource: Extensive exploration in the 1980s lead to the discovery of three gold deposits:
CAPE SPENCER MINE -- open-pit heap leach mine operated from 1985-1988:
- Produced 226,000 tonnes grading 1.6 g/t gold .
- Post-mining inferred resource of 582,000 tonnes grading 2.5 g/t gold .

NORTHEAST ZONE:
- Inferred resource* of 300,000 tonnes grading 8.9 g/t gold .

In 2004 , Geodex completed a major program of I.P. geophysical surveying, soil sampling and the diamond drilling of 25 holes for a total of 1,817 metres . Highlights of the drilling results include an intersection of 4.7 g/t gold over 9.0 metres (including 12.2 g/t gold over 3.0 metres) from a hole near the Cape Spencer open pit and 7.9 g/t gold over 7.4 metres from a hole drilled in a sheeted quartz vein zone located about five kilometres northeast of the open pit.

Mantle Provides Progress Report on the Akie Zinc-Lead Property
11/2/05

Mantle Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MTS) is pleased to provide the following progress report on the ongoing exploration program at the Company`s Akie zinc-lead property located in northeastern British Columbia, approximately 280 kilometers north-northwest of the town of Mackenzie.

Diamond Drilling :

Drilling commenced on October 16 and, to date, 827.7 meters has been completed in the following three holes :

Hole:A-05-30 (Az:050 degrees; Dip:-78 degrees; Grid: 3300S/090W): This hole was successfully concluded in calcareous siltstone of the Road River Group, at a depth of 598.7 meters, after penetrating a sequence of black to green-grey, variably siliceous, siltstone and shale of the Gunsteel Formation. A mineralized zone was encountered within the Gunsteel from 534.5 meters to 567.3 meters. Due to broken and blocky ground conditions, the hole experienced significant flattening and deviation to the northwest.

Hole:A-05-31 (Az:060 degrees; Dip:-70 degrees; Grid: 3100S/125W): The second hole, with a projected depth of 584.0 meters, was abandoned at a depth of 133 meters when the rods became stuck in a fault zone. Ground conditions such as this have been encountered at the Akie property in the past.

Hole:A-05-32 (Az:055 degrees; Dip:-68 degrees; Grid: 3100S/125W): This hole has the same location as A-05-31, but with a slightly different dip and azimuth. It is a second attempt to test the planned A-05-31 target and is currently at a depth of 100 meters.

The drilling (HQ or NQ-2 core) is being carried out by Hy-Tech Drilling Ltd., of Smithers, B.C., as part of a planned 2,000 meter program. Directional surveys, using a Reflex, single-shot instrument, are performed approximately every 30 meters down the drill hole. Drill pads have been established for the first four holes of this program.

Assay Samples:

All mineralized core will be split by diamond saw, with a maximum sample length of 1.5 meters. Split samples of core will be shipped in secure containers to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. for analysis for zinc, lead and silver (Group 7AR - ICP multi-element assay).

Current Exploration Program:

At the present time, the Company plans to complete four drill holes in the central part of the Akie strataform, massive sulphide horizon to further investigate the continuity of higher grade zinc-lead mineralization encountered during previous exploration carried out by Inmet Mining Corporation and Ecstall Mining Corp . Drill activities will continue at the Akie property as long as winter weather conditions permit. The Company is pleased with the progress of the exploration program to date.

The Akie zinc-lead property, which has been optioned from Ecstall Mining Corp, comprises approximately 16,000 acres in the Omineca Mining Division, British Columbia. The property contains a partly-explored zinc-lead-silver-barite massive sulfide deposit. Between 1992 and 1996 approximately $5.4 million was spent exploring the property, including approximately 13,000 meters of diamond drilling.

The main Akie deposit has an historical inferred resource of 13,000,000 tonnes grading 8.52% zinc, 1.47% lead and 13.24g silver per tonne over an average true thickness of 6.3m based on a 1995 geological polygonal reserve study by Inmet Mining Corporation. This resource calculation appears to have been derived in a manner consistent with the definitions contained in the "Companion Policy 43-101CP to National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Deposits" but it has not been verified by Mantle`s Qualified Person. Because of the uncertainty which may attach to inferred mineral resources it cannot be assumed that any or any part of an inferred mineral resource will be upgraded to an indicated or measured resource as a result of continued exploration.

The Akie deposit is open to expansion in tonnage and grade both along strike and down dip.

Mantle files Report on the Akie Zinc-Lead Property

Mantle Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MTS)(FWB:A0F7E1)(the Company) is pleased to provide an update on the ongoing exploration program at the Akie zinc-lead property located in northeastern British Columbia, approximately 280 kilometers north-northeast of the town of Mackenzie.

Diamond Drilling:

Drilling commenced on October 16 and, to the morning of November 20, a total of 1547.32 meters have been completed as follows:

Hole:A-05-30 (Az: 050 degrees; Dip:-78 degrees; Grid: 3300S/0090W; Elev: 1497m; EOH: 598.70m): A mineralized zone was encountered within the `Gunsteel formation` from 534.50 meters to 567.30 meters, a core length of 32.80 meters. Initial calculations suggest that the true width of the zone is 72% of this, or 23.62 meters.

Hole:A-05-31 (Az: 060 degrees; Dip:-70 degrees; Grid: 3100S/0125W; Elev: 1539m; EOH: 133.00 m): This hole was abandoned early when the rods became stuck in a fault zone.

Hole:A-05-32 (Az: 055 degrees; Dip:-68 degrees; Grid: 3100S/0125W; Elev: 1539m; EOH: 630.00 m): A mineralized zone similar to that observed in Hole:A-05-30 was intersected within the `Gunsteel formation` between 547.50 and 603.00 meters, a core length of 55.50 meters. The hole was terminated in shale matrix sedimentary gravel breccia, possibly Road River Group, at a depth of 630.00 meters.

Hole:A-05-33 (Az: 059 degrees; Dip:-78.9 degrees; Grid: 3500S/0100W; Elev: 1404m): As of the morning of November 20, drilling of this hole was continuing and was at a depth of 185.62 meters.

The drilling (HQ or NQ2 core) is being carried out by Hy-Tech Drilling Ltd., Smithers, B.C., as part of a planned 2,000 meter program. Directional surveys, using a Reflex single-shot instrument, are performed approximately every 30 meters down the hole.

Discussion:

A total of 28 samples of split core from the section between 531.75 and 570.40 meters in Hole:A-05-30 have been analysed for zinc, lead and silver. The assay pulps from these are currently being subjected to confirmatory analyses at a second laboratory. Results will be released when the Company has had an opportunity to review the information received from both laboratories.

The core from Hole:A-05-32 is presently in the process of being logged and sampled. Drill activities are expected to continue as long as winter conditions permit.

Assay Samples and Assay Procedures:

All mineralized core is split by diamond saw and sampled, with a maximum of 1.5 meters of core collected for each sample. These are bagged and shipped in secure containers to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd in Vancouver for analysis for zinc, lead and silver by aqua regia digestion followed by ICP analysis (Group 7A-ICP Multi-Element Assay). Where necessary, samples will be submitted to Global Discovery Labs in Vancouver for check analyses using a similar methodology.

Exploration activities reported on in this release have been designed and supervised by Mr. Bernard Dewonck, P.Geo. (BC) and Mr. Marcus Vanwermeskerken, P.Geo.(BC), both Qualified Persons as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

About the Akie Property:

The Akie property, which has been optioned from Ecstall Mining Corporation, comprises a total of 256 claim units, in 22 contiguous mineral claims, which encompass some 5,400 hectares situated in the Omineca Mining Division of British Columbia. Between 1992 and 1996, approximately $5.4-million was spent exploring the property, including approximately 13,000 metres of diamond drilling.

Variably siliceous, bluish-grey weathering, fine-grained clastic rocks of the Middle to Late Devonian `Gunsteel formation` host a sheet-like body of laminated to massive pyrite and barite, with local finely laminated bands of sphalerite and galena, that has a strike length of 1,600 meters, a dip extent of at least 800 meters and a true width of up to 30 meters. Within this, Inmet Mining Corporation, the previous operator, identified an inferred resource, based on four widely spaced drill holes, of 13 million tonnes grading 8.52% zinc, 1.47% lead and 13.24 grams silver/tonne over a true width of 6.3 meters.

Note: This historical inferred resource estimate was prepared before the implementation of National Instrument 43-101. The Company`s Qualified Person has not reviewed the estimate but believes it to be reliable and relevant as it was calculated by Inmet Mining Corporation, a respected international mining concern, using simple polygonal blocks. However, this estimate should be treated as a historical resource estimate until additional drill hole information is available.

The Akie deposit is open to expansion in tonnage and grade both along strike and down-dip.
