Peruvian Economy: 15 billion dollars in mining within next six years; Chile "very pleased"by performance

(LIP-do) -- Peru's Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) estimates that 15 billion dollars will be invested in the mining sector in exploration projects in the next five or six years, said today the agency's executive director, David Lemor.

During the opening ceremony of the First Investment Forum and Business Round of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC), Lemor indicated that each year exploration projects increase considerably in number and extension in the country. He added that investment in mining exploration reached 475 million dollars last year.

The mineral richness of the Peruvian subsoil offers opportunities to explore and develop projects, but only ten percent of the Peru’s mining potential has been explored and six percent has been exploited, he added.

Lemor also pointed out that the energy sector, hydrocarbons and the petrochemical development calls the interest of worldwide investors considering that Peru has reserves and excellent conditions for development of gas and petrochemical industries.

“We have the only source of natural gas in the South American Pacific region. The Camisea field with 13.40 trillion square feet (TCF) of proved reserves and it is even indicated the existence of higher reserves”, he added.

In news also related to Peru's economic situation, Chilean president, Michelle Bachelet, said that her country is “very pleased” by the performance of Peruvian economy, since this will allow Peru to face the challenges in the current international context, during an intermission of the Plenary Session of the V Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC).

Furthermore, Bachelet stated the opening speech made by Peru’s president, Alan García, was “splendid” since it reflected the need to seek concrete goals to solve the main problems which affect every country. The Chilean president said she wishes that EU-LAC leaders will establish “specific goals” by the end of this summit.

Bachelet arrived yesterday in Lima to be part of the V EU-LAC Summit and held a business meeting today with his Bolivian counterpart, Evo Morales.

Südamerikaner gründen Staatenbund Unasur
Die zwölf Länder Südamerikas haben einen Staatenbund zur Beschleunigung der regionalen Integration ins Leben gerufen. Die Gründungsurkunde der „Union der Südamerikanischen Nationen“ (Unasur) wurde von den Staats- und Regierungschefs am Freitag bei einem Gipfeltreffen in der brasilianischen Hauptstadt Brasilia unterzeichnet.

HB BRASILIA. Den Vorsitz der Organisation übernimmt für das erste Jahr die chilenische Staatspräsidentin Michelle Bachelet. Unasur folge dem Modell der Europäischen Union, sagte der brasilianische Staatspräsident Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Der Subkontinent werde dank der neuen Integrationsbemühungen einen „riesigen Sprung in der wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Entwicklung“ machen, versicherte er. Die Union sei ein entscheidender Schritt in Richtung der Integration Südamerikas.

Die unter anderem von Brasilien, Argentinien und Venezuela angestrebte Gründung eines „Südamerikanischen Verteidigungsrates“ konnte dagegen in Brasilia noch nicht verwirklicht werden. Widerstand leistete vor allem die rechtskonservative Regierung von Kolumbien. Eine Arbeitsgruppe werde in den nächsten 90 Tagen einen neuen Gründungsvorschlag erarbeiten, hieß es offiziell. Die verschiedenen Interessen der Region sollten im neuen Vorschlag besser berücksichtigt werden, erklärte Lula.

Der brasilianische Präsident betonte, die EU sei als Organisation auch nicht von verschiedenen Meinungen der einzelnen Mitglieder hinsichtlich Irak-Krieg, Euro-Einführung oder Verfassung geschwächt worden. Chiles Präsidentin Bachelet erklärte unterdessen, der neue Staatenbund werde zur Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen in Südamerika sowie zu mehr Kommunikation beitragen. Damit könnten Konflikte wie der jüngste Streit zwischen Kolumbien, Venezuela und Ecuador künftig schon im Keim erstickt werden.

The company has proposed a partnership whereby the community would directly own a royalty in the eventuality of commercial production.

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC. COMPLETES THE SECOND TRANCHE OF ITS PRIVATE OFFERING ANNOUNCED ON APRIL 11, 2008

Plexmar Resources Inc. has completed the second tranche of its private offering reported in Stockwatch news dated April 11, 2008. This second tranche, for an amount of $217,000, consisted of the issuance of a total of 1.55 million units at a price of 14 cents per unit. Each unit comprises one Plexmar common share and one-half common share purchase warrant. Each whole common share purchase warrant entitles its holder to subscribe to one additional common share for a period of 24 months from closing at a price of 20 cents per share for the first 12 months and 25 cents for the following 12 months.

Plexmar intends to use the proceeds of this private offering for the implementation of its exploration programs and for its working capital.

For the purposes of this private offering, Plexmar has granted to one intermediary a total cash compensation of $5,880 and a total of 42,000 broker warrants entitling the holder thereof to subscribe to 42,000 common shares for a period of 12 months after the closing of the offering at a price of 14 cents per share.

Plexmar gets nod from community to resume work at Bolsa

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: WORK RESUMES AT BOLSA

At the community meeting held on June 8, 2008 (see press release in Stockwatch dated May 26, 2008), the vast majority of the people residing in six of the most populous towns covering most of the Bolsa target and accounting for more than 70 per cent of the total community population want Plexmar Resources Inc. to continue its exploration work as soon as possible. Consequently, mapping and geology resume immediately, and proposals from contractors to complete the ground geophysics program are being accepted. A detailed schedule of the exploration program is currently under preparation by the company's geologists and management, and will be communicated when completed. No formal acceptance was made during the meeting as they did not have quorum. This should be done at the next meeting and the company anticipates it to be held by the end of September.

Equador Mining Law: Less Harsh Than Expected

In a report on Friday, Mr. Turner said that comments from Ecuadorean mining and energy minister Galo Chiriboga last Monday gave the impression that the new mining law to be published on June 27, while tougher on environmental controls, will nonetheless provide a stable environment to foreign mining companies in the country.

Mr. Turner told clients that Mr. Chiriboga was very clear about the role of environmental and social matters in the new law and was quoted saying the wealth created from mining activity must benefit the development of the regions in which the mines operate.

Of particular note to foreign miners, were Mr. Chiriboga's comments on the "three concession limit." Having consulted with experts over the past few weeks, Mr. Chiriboga said a higher number of concessions may be allowed, but still "there will be a limit."

Mr. Turner also viewed positively a statement on Wednesday from vice-minister Jose Serrano that regional politicians as opposed to local communities – which in Mr. Turner's words are "under the influence of radical tree huggers" – will be the body directly consulted by national governments regarding issues like mining royalties, water rights and clean water rules and regulations.

And while a lot of royalties will stay with local communities not a word of any windfall tax was mentioned, Mr. Turner wrote.

Mr. Turner said:

All this is a long, long way from the death, doom and gloom stories fed to hapless investors by the panic-merchants masquerading as responsible analysts just a few weeks ago. So the mining community looks on course to be given a draft mining law that will be tough on the environmental regulations, but fair to the companies that wish to mine in the country.

His favorite stock in Ecuador is Aurelian Resources Inc. (AUREF.PK). The stock has been hammered in recent weeks, but with political and regulatory stability looking more likely, Mr. Turner said "the time has come to load the boat with Aurelian."

The analyst also said investors should consider Dynasty Metals and Mining Inc. (DMMIF.PK), Corriente Resources Inc. (ETQ) and IAMGOLD Corp. (IAG).

Hi,
Bin bis jetzt nur in Corriente investiert und warte genau wie ihr auf die Ergebnisse zu new mining law. Habe in den letzten Wochen häufig auf englische Yahooseiten gestöbert weil hier in Deutschland keine Informationen zu bekommen sind zumindest nicht ohne Börsenbrief. Vor ein Paar Tagen habe ich folgende mail von "inka cola news" (habe free abo) erhalten. Ich denke das geschriebene wird seine Richtigkeit haben, ob "inka cola news" neutral und unabhängig ist kann ich nicht garantieren. Muss jeder selbst werten.

What's known so far about the contents of the new mining law


Know your Beckett?


The new mining law was supposed to be published yesterday, according to the announced timetable Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Galo Chiriboga. So the fact that it hasn't been published yet seems to have got a lot of investors up North a bit antsy (judging by my inbox anyway). Best advice is "relax dudes", cos this is South America we're talking, ok?

In the meantime, your diligent Otto has scoured and grilled his finest sources and come up with the following list of ten things that are part of the new mining law story. Most of these are 100% confirmed, and a few bits are "most probables". I have heard other bits and pieces, but I'm not putting suppostions into this list (and they tend to be the minor-ish details, anyway). So here we go:

1) The law is ready. Correa has inspected it. It will be published "any day now" (sorry, can't get better than that).

2) The "three concession maximum" rule has been scrapped. In its place there is a mechanism that will allow a larger concession area in the exploration phase, but when the company begins focussing on particular areas of its concession, the unused areas will lapse. By the time the miner is actually producing, its total concession area will be reduced to 5000 hectares approx. This sounds like a good idea to me...it allows the explorers to do their job correctly, and then it allows the gov't to take back what isn't wanted by the company at a later stage.

3) The concessions that have been taken back by the gov't in the last few months will be submitted to tender again. The companies that lost the concessions can bid for them again, but on equal terms with other bidders. This is different from previous information I received, that said the ex-holders would get first refusal.

4) The concessions will have a 25 to 30 year time limit. They will also be subject to a 10 year "use it or lose it" clause.

5) There will be no forced joint venture with the state. That is 100% confirmed, I'm happy to say.

6) The law will be ratified and enter into active operation in September 2008, almost certainly before Ecuador votes on its separate draft constitution. The mining law will be passed into law by the interim "Congresillo". In real terms, this means miners can get back to work in two months' time. Not the best situation, but by no means the worst either.

7) The environmental controls will be strict by world standards. This will be a main promotion point of the national gov't to its people. The gov't will be making very strong noises about the severity of environmental controls that miners will have to abide by, and the penalties/immediate closures they would suffer by breaking these laws. However for responsible modern, medium and large scale mining, these regulations will not be too difficult to comply with successfully.

8) The state mining company will be set up from scratch before the mining law becomes active. It will concentrate on non-metallic mining only (e.g. cement, clay, brickworks etc).

9) Royalties will be due on gross product. The limit on royalties is either 5% or 6% (I cannot confirm that, but 6% is the most probable). There is no windfall tax in the new law.

10) There will be mandatory minimum investments to be made on all concessions. If those minimums are not met, the concession is lost.

So the bottom line here is: VERY GOOD. This framework is better than my "worst case" scenario postulated last week, and if we remember that even under the worst case miners such as my favourite Aurelian (ARU.to) would still make it as going concerns, this means the new law will be greeted with relatively open arms by a sector in serious need of reassurance. Things are looking good, dudes.

But before you start high-fiving your dog and shouting "to da moon Alice", let's be clear that the law has to get through the legislative process first. No fat ladies singing yet. But there's little doubt that the publication of the new law will be viewed as a positive for the industry and for those companies with Exposure to Ecuador. The usual caveats apply to all the above, yeah? We're all big girls and boys.

Plexmar Resources Inc. has engaged Intercapital Canada Inc. in order to prepare for a market awareness program in Latin America to coincide with its application to list on the Bolsa de Valores de Lima SA (BVL).

Over the past five years, the BVL has consistently been one of the most profitable exchanges in the world, with average profits of rising above 160 per cent as of the first quarter of 2007. Mining shares, which make up 61 per cent of the exchange listings, led with average profits of 266 per cent, followed by agriculture of 239 per cent, and basic industry and services, which showed profits of 177 per cent (El Comercio, Dec. 28, 2006). Since 2005, the BVL has been listing foreign mining and exploration companies, and the regional capital markets have been very receptive with new trading volume records being established monthly.

Intercapital Canada is the Canadian subsidiary of Intercapital SAB SA, a private Peruvian brokerage house and investment bank. Intercapital is one of three chartered BVL sponsors and the only private sponsorship entity. Intercapital's Canada office is headed by managing partner Luis Zapata. Mr. Zapata has years of experience in the Canadian capital markets, having previously held positions at both a major Canadian brokerage house and a boutique private equity firm. Envisioned as a nexus between Canadian juniors and the Latin American capital markets, Intercapital Canada provides its clients with an all-inclusive range of financial advisory services.

The listing, in conjunction with the existing TSX Venture Exchange quote of the company's shares, is expected to provide additional demand for and liquidity in the company's shares. "The volume of trading for exploration company's listed on the BVL has been tremendous, and our shares will benefit from the dual listing in Canada and in Peru," says president Guy Bedard.

Der Präsident der linksgerichteten Regierung in Ecuador, Rafael Correa plant den Anteil der Einnahmen aus den Minengeschäften für die Regierung zu erhöhen, insbesondere bei den aktuell hohen Preisen für Gold und Kupfer. Zusätzlich will Correa die Korruption weiter unterbinden.

Am 18. April 2008 stoppte Ecuador alle Erkundungsaktivitäten von Rohstoff-Lagerstätten. Die Regierung erklärte dabei, eine Erlaubnis für die Wiederaufnahme der Aktivitäten bis August diesen Jahres erteilen zu wollen.


Die linksgerichtete Regierung von Präsident Rafael Correa trat im November 2006 ihren Dienst an. Correa versprach den Wählern die Sozialausgaben zu erhöhen, um auch den Armen mehr Wohlstand zu ermöglichen. Es folgten zahlreiche Gesetzesänderungen, die Auswirkungen auf Steuern, Umwelt aber auch die Minengesellschaften hatten.

Ecuador gilt als noch unentdecktes Rohstoffland mit riesigen Vorkommen an gold und sonstigen Metallen. Der Staat ist langfristig auf die Einnahmen aus dem Minensektor angewiesen. Keine Frage, dass das Minengeschäft zukünftig eine wichtige, tragende Säule des Landes Ecuador bleiben wird.

Die damalige Ankündigung sorgte für ein regelrechtes Erdbeben unter den Minengesellschaften, die in Ecuador tätig sind. Dynasty Metals & Mining (ISIN CA26813S1002, WKN A0HFXY) oder auch Corriente und Aurelian büßten in wenigen Minuten einen Großteil der Kursgewinne ein, die sie in Jahren zuvor aufgebaut hatten.

Wie bereits berichtet, betonte Correa, die Minenaktivitäten in Ecuador nicht unterbinden zu wollen, sondern v. a. illegale Konzessionen in seinem Lande aufspüren zu wollen. Es sind nach seinen Aussagen Minengesellschaften betroffen, deren Tätigkeit nicht dem Standard Ecuadors in Sachen verantwortungsvollem, wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und umweltgerechten Bergbau-Aktivitäten entsprechen.

Der Kurs von Dynasty erholte sich in den Wochen nach der Ankündigung von knapp 2 CAD auf derzeit 4,57 CAD. Die Marktkapitalisierung liegt damit bei rund 150 Mio. CAD. Investoren richten ihren Blick wieder verstärkt auf die viel versprechenden Projekte der Gesellschaft!

QUITO, June 30 (Reuters) - Ecuador's new mining law will call for community consultation over projects but villagers will not have veto powers to shut them down, Mining Minister Galo Chiriboga said Monday.

Chiriboga said in a television interview that he hopes the law will bring needed investment into the country's nascent mining sector. The law is still under review and is expected to be approved by September.

"In our opinion we think the previous consultation is important, but it should not be binding," Chiriboga said, adding that the state will conduct the consultation with villages near projects. Under the old law, companies conducted the consultations.

The new mining law is key for foreign mining companies to restart exploration after they were forced to halt operations temporarily in April by a government-controlled assembly rewriting the constitution. The oil-producing nation wants to boost control over the sector which has discovered world-class gold and copper deposits in recent years.

Ecuador lacks significant output of precious metals, but dozens of foreign companies such as Aurelian Resources (ARU.TO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), Corriente Resources (CTQ.TO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and Iamgold (IMG.TO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) have found large gold, silver and copper deposits.

The new law will not limit the number of concessions companies can hold and not force them to form joint ventures with a state mining company as some investors feared, a top mining official told Reuters last week.

The government has yet to determine the structure of royalty payments under the new law, officials said.

A community consultation that results in powers to close down projects has been a worry for investors in an industry that has faced fierce opposition from environmentalists and some villages in the mineral-rich regions of southern Ecuador.

The draft law is under review by President Rafael Correa, a leftist economist who has said he backs large projects if they generate billions of dollars in revenue to the poor nation. (Reporting by Alonso Soto; editing by Matthew Lewis)

Aurelian Update on Ecuadorian Mining Law and Political Process
TORONTO, ON – Aurelian Resources Inc. (TSX:ARU) today provided an update regarding Ecuador’s draft mining law and expected political milestones over the coming months in response to shareholder requests.

On June 27, 2008 the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MMP) announced completion of work on a draft law. Preparation of the draft legislation involved an extensive consultation process with stakeholders such as communities, local governments, NGOs and mining companies, including Aurelian. The draft law was sent on the same day to President Rafael Correa, who is reviewing the document with his advisors. No update has been provided by the government as to when the final version of the draft law will be made public.

“An earlier version of the draft law posted on the MMP web site was reasonable,” said Patrick F.N. Anderson, President and CEO. “We are confident that President Correa wants to see a responsible mining industry in Ecuador.”

The potential passage of the new mining law would be part of a very full political calendar in Ecuador for the next year, including the following milestones as reported in the media:

The new President of the Assembly, Fernando Cordero, stated that the Assembly will complete its work on July 25 and will deliver the proposed constitution to the Supreme Electoral Council. At this time the Assembly is to be dissolved and will probably be replaced by an interim legislative body, although details are still being debated regarding its start date, duration, composition, and legislative powers.
Ecuadorean media have reported that the date for the referendum will be announced on August 21, and that this date will most likely be October 5 with final results to be published on October 21.
Ecuadorean media have reported that the dates for general elections will be announced on November 6, followed by candidate inscriptions on December 10, elections on February 8, 2009 and results on March 10, 2009. If necessitated by a vote of less than 40% for the leading Presidential candidate, the second round of Presidential elections will occur on March 22, 2009, with final results on April 11, 2009. The newly elected legislative body will take office on April 26, 2009 and the new President will take office on May 3, 2009.
All of these dates are projections made in Ecuadorean media. The official dateswill be published by the relevant authorities.

Aurelian is hopeful that there will be space within this tight agenda for processing of the new mining law and will issue further updates when more precise information becomes available.

TORONTO, ONTARIO (NYSE: KGC) and Aurelian Resources Inc. (TSX: ARU) announced today that their respective Boards of Directors have approved a business combination by way of a friendly offer by Kinross to acquire 100% of the outstanding common shares of Aurelian, and that they have signed a Support Agreement pursuant to which Aurelian's Board of Directors has unanimously agreed to support the Kinross offer. The total value of the offer is approximately $1.2 billion.

Highlights of the Transaction

- For each Aurelian common share, Kinross will offer 0.317 of a Kinross common share, plus 0.1429 of a warrant, with each warrant entitling the holder to acquire one Kinross common share. The Kinross warrants have an exercise price of $32.00 per Kinross common share and will expire five years after the date on which Kinross first pays for Aurelian common shares tendered to the offer. Kinross expects to issue approximately 47 million common shares pursuant to the transaction (assuming exercise of all in-the-money Aurelian options and excluding any shares issuable upon exercise of the Kinross warrants), representing approximately 8% of Kinross' current outstanding common shares.

- Based on the preceding 20-day volume-weighted average price of Kinross' common shares on the TSX (and assuming a value of $0.92 per fractional warrant), the value of the offer is $8.20 per Aurelian common share, which represents a premium of approximately 63% over the preceding 20-day volume-weighted average price of Aurelian common shares.

- The Board of Directors of Aurelian, after receiving the recommendation of a special committee of independent directors created by Aurelian to oversee the transaction process, has unanimously determined that the Kinross offer is in the best interests of Aurelian's shareholders, and unanimously recommends that the Aurelian shareholders tender their common shares to the offer. The directors and senior officers of Aurelian have entered into lock-up agreements with Kinross and have agreed to tender all of their Aurelian common shares to the offer.

- BMO Capital Markets and Dundee Securities Corporation, Aurelian's financial advisors, have provided oral opinions to the Aurelian Board of Directors that the consideration offered is fair, from a financial point of view, to Aurelian's shareholders.

Compelling Combination

The combination will add a major gold deposit to Kinross' development portfolio, while providing Aurelian shareholders with a substantial premium on their shares and the additional opportunity to participate in Kinross' outstanding prospects for near- and long-term growth. The transaction is expected to be accretive to Kinross on a net asset value basis.

"Kinross is committed to responsible mining and has an excellent track record of working cooperatively with governments and communities wherever we operate. This particular combination creates value for both Aurelian and Kinross shareholders, and provides a strong partner for local employees and communities in Ecuador to develop this asset in a responsible manner, which will generate significant economic benefits for the country," said Kinross President and CEO Tye W. Burt.

"For Kinross, the combination demonstrates our continued commitment to long-term, disciplined growth through maintaining a pipeline of high-quality development projects. This deposit will add significantly to our mineral resource base. We intend to pursue a focused strategy to further define the deposit, and believe that this combination can make an important contribution to our future," he added.

"The transaction also plays to Kinross' proven strengths in successfully bringing new development projects into production, which we are demonstrating this year with our projects at Kupol, Paracatu and Buckhorn," he said. Kinross expects that the three major growth projects scheduled to come onstream this year will increase the company's production by approximately 60% above 2007 levels by 2009.

Patrick F.N. Anderson, Aurelian President and CEO said, "The combination of Aurelian and Kinross illustrates our commitment to responsible development at Fruta del Norte as well as to the best interests of our investors. In the short-term, Aurelian shareholders will be receiving an attractive premium above current market price. In the long-term, our shareholders will also have the opportunity to participate in Kinross' upside as our Condor Project contributes to Kinross' industry-leading growth plans. We have been impressed by the Kinross team's capabilities and track record in bringing projects into production, particularly their strength in government and community relations. Joining a larger pipeline of development and production projects around the world also benefits Aurelian shareholders through asset diversification and risk mitigation."

In October 2007, Aurelian released an inferred mineral resource estimate for its Fruta del Norte (FDN) deposit of 58.9 million tonnes grading 7.23 g/t of gold, resulting in 13.7 million oz. of contained gold and 22.4 million oz. of contained silver (grade: 11.8 g/t).(1) The FDN deposit is the most significant discovery within the Condor Project, part of more than 95,000 hectares of exploration concessions that Aurelian holds in Ecuador.

Kinross and Aurelian are of the view that recent initiatives by the government of Ecuador, including public statements by President Correa, and the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, indicate that Ecuador is becoming increasingly open to responsible mining.

"The government of Ecuador has indicated that it is interested in attracting responsible mining companies prepared to invest in creating new economic opportunities in the country. We have been working in Ecuador for two years, doing our research and building relationships. We believe that the government will welcome the positive approach we plan to take to advance the development of the FDN project in a way that benefits the people of Ecuador and respects local social and economic priorities," said Mr. Burt.

"Kinross has a strong history in South America and elsewhere as a socially and environmentally responsible company, and we have demonstrated our commitment to our employees, to strong community partnerships and to building economic capacity in the jurisdictions where we operate around the world," he added.

Other Terms of the Support Agreement

The Support Agreement provides that the Board of Directors of Aurelian may under certain circumstances terminate the agreement in favour of an unsolicited superior proposal, subject to payment of a termination payment of $42 million and subject to a right by Kinross to match the superior proposal in question.

Full details of the Kinross offer will be included in the takeover bid circular that is expected to be mailed to Aurelian shareholders shortly. Kinross' obligation to acquire shares pursuant to the offer will be subject to certain customary conditions, including there having been validly deposited and not withdrawn at the expiry of the offer that number of Aurelian shares which, together with any Aurelian shares directly or indirectly owned by Kinross, constitutes at least 66 2/3% of the outstanding common shares of Aurelian on a fully-diluted basis at the expiry time.

Private Placement

Kinross has also agreed to purchase 15 million common shares of Aurelian on a private placement basis, at a price of $4.75 per share for total subscription proceeds of approximately $71 million, to assist with the development of FDN and for general corporate purposes. The private placement is not conditional on completion of the offer. The private placement as well as the issuance of the Kinross common shares and warrants pursuant to the offer are subject to TSX approval.

Advisors and Counsel

Kinross' financial advisors are Scotia Capital Inc. (lead), Rothschild Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc. and its legal counsel are Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and Perez, Bustamante & Ponce with regard to Ecuadorian law matters. Plexmar Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: PLE) is pleased to report that it has signed, through its subsidiary, a letter of intent with Minera Ucucha S.A.C. for the exclusive commercialization and production rights for the top 100 meters on all the concessions part of the Bolsa del Diablo project. In return, Ucucha will obtain all necessary authorizations from the local communities to allow free and undisturbed exploration for the duration of the agreement, and, will give Plexmar a 10% royalty from all mineral extracted and commercialized from its concessions.

Following the final contract signatures, Ucucha has a maximum of 60 days to obtain community approval to resume exploration.

Ucucha is a successful Peruvian mining company that operates 3 processing plants in Southern Peru. Ucucha will produce, in 2008, over 10,000,000 lbs of copper concentrate for total revenues of approximately $US 8 millions. They have extensive experience and a very successful track record in dealing with informal miners and communities. Ucucha shares the same management as Iimpul Peru S.A., one of the largest Peruvian buyer and exporter of artisanal gold. In 2007, Iimpul had revenues of over $120M US and is one of the top 157 Peruvian companies. Ucucha has long term sales agreement with Louis Dreyfus Commodities Metals, one of the world's leading commodity merchants, merchandising and trading bulk commodities in international markets since 1851.

Ucucha's goal is to install, in the next few months, a 100 TPD processing plant to treat high grade ores coming from Plexmar's concessions and from other areas. According to Ucucha, the ground geophysical survey may be re-initiated, in the short term, after obtaining approval from local leaders and miners as it will provide employment to local people. A detailed exploration work program will be submitted to Ucucha in the coming weeks. Although Ucucha is very confident to fulfill its obligations within the prescribed timeframe, the contract has a provision for a 30 day extension, if required.

In other news, the Company has recently negotiated revised terms with the Owner of the Angolos concession. Payments totalling $525,000 US were to be made to the Owner in 2008. The revised agreement calls for a total of $825,000 US to be paid over a 3 year period plus a total of 600,000 shares. The next payment is due on October 15, 2009 for $50,000 and the following payments are as follows; $75,000 on April 15, 2010; $150,000 on October 15, 2010; $200,000 on April 2011; $200,000 on October 15, 2011 and $150,000 on April 15, 2012. The shares are to be issued as soon as approved by the regulatory authorities.

I'm feeling better about this whole story.

It doesn't matter to me if PLE was given no option but to sign such an agreement the fact is that we have a very reputable company doing all the front-end work for us.

I like this line...it says we get 10% of anything extracted...that's without taking costs into account...I think!!!!

Plexmar Resources Inc. has completed a private offering for a gross amount of $343,000. The offering is a first tranche of a private offering which may reach a maximum of $1-million and consisted of the issuance of a total of 6.86 million units at a price of five cents per unit. Each unit comprises one Plexmar common share and one common share purchase warrant. Each whole common share purchase warrant entitles its holder to subscribe for one additional common share at a price of 10 cents per share for two years after the closing date. The company can trigger the exercise of the warrants if the closing price is at least 18 cents for 10 continuous days. A formal notice shall be sent to the holders following which they will have a period of 30 days to exercise the warrants.

Plexmar intends to use the proceeds of this private offering for the implementation of its exploration programs and for its working capital.

Plexmar Resources Inc. proposes to complete a non-brokered private placement pursuant to which it will issue up to 20 million units at a price of five cents per unit to raise total gross proceeds of up to $1-million. Kinross Gold (K.TO: Anführungsstrich) investiert herum $45 Million in Ecuador dieses Jahr bohrend und eine möglicherweise reiche Goldablagerung entwickelnd, sagte sein CEO am Mittwoch, ein Tag nachdem das südamerikanische Land sein Verbot auf den kanadischen Tätigkeiten des Bergmannes dort anhob.

„Ecuador schloß im Allgemeinen unsere Bergbaubetriebe im April von 2008, während Durchgang eines neuen Gesetzes,“ erklärte Tye Burt Reuters globales Bergbau-und Stahl-Gipfel.

„Es dauerte neun oder 10 Monate, damit die neue Konstitution überschritten werden kann. Wir denken, dass es erklärte die Sätze des Bergbaugesetzes sehr erheblich… (und) der Rahmen ziemlich offenbar für zukünftige Entwicklung.“

Am Dienstag erklärte ein oberster Ecuadorean Bergbaubeamter Reuters, welches das Land sofort ein Bergbauverbot auf Kinross und andere Firmen anheben, die ein Teil einer Handvoll Projekte sind, die „Priorität“ durch die Andennation gelten.

Letztes Jahr Kanadas Kinross erworbene Aurelian Betriebsmittel und seine Goldablagerung Frutadel Norte in Ecuador.

„Wir wendeten $800 Million auf, um Aurealian zu erwerben und wir wenden in Ecuador auf, alle Lichter annehmend seien Sie in Erlaubnis ausgedrückt, wie sie scheinen zu sein, ungefähr $45 Million dieses Jahr auf Bohrung grün, sagten Entwicklungs- und Stellenbesetzungskosten,“ Burt.

Er erklärte Reuters, das der springende Punkt zum neuen Gesetz war, dass die Ecuadorean Finanzteilnahme der Regierung an gerade über 50 Prozent eingestellt wurde. „Sie stimmt ungefähr mit anderen Bergbaujurisdiktionen in Südamerika wie Chile überein, oder Brasilien,“ sagte er.

Ecuador, das in den letzten Jahren sich in Richtung zum Nehmen von mehr Steuerung über seinen Naturresourcen bewogen hat, ist eine auftauchende Wirtschaft, die Wachstum benötigt, seine schrumpfend Energie und landwirtschaftlichen Exporte zu balancieren, Burt sagte.

„Sie sind in der Notwendigkeit, eine verantwortliche Minenindustrie zu entwickeln sehr frei gewesen. Wir denken, dass wir ein bedeutender Mitwirkender zu dem sein können.

„Ecuador hat Bodenschätze und eine Verpflichtung zum Handeln der rechten Sache für die Minenindustrie und der Leute von Ecuador. Dieses Sitze mit unserer Philosophie und offensichtlich haben wir eine bedeutende Investition gebildet, wenn wir das entwickelten,“ sagte Burt.

Dynasty Metals & Mining (WKN A0HFXY) hat nach eigenen Angaben eine offizielle Benachrichtigung des ekuadorianischen Ministeriums für Minen und Erdöl erhalten, die besagt, dass das kanadische Unternehmen die Auflagen des neuen Minengesetzes erfüllt. Das Ministerium verlangt von Dynasty Metals & Mining, die Studien zum Umwelteinfluss der Aktivitäten zu aktualisieren und sich bei dem neuen National Water Bureau zu registrieren. Bereits Anfang des Monats hatte Dynasty damit begonnen, die Goldverarbeitungsanlage auf seinem Goldprojekt Zaruma im Südwesten Ekuadors hochzufahren. Das Unternehmen plant, jährlich 300.000 Tonnen Matieral zu verarbeiten, wobei die installierte Kapazität 800.000 Tonnen beträgt. Man geht davon aus, dass das Zaruma-Projekt über eine gemessene und angezeigte Goldressource von 1.110.200 Unzen verfügt.

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: PROJECTS UPDATE

Plexmar Resources Inc. is providing information on Ucucha's progress in the Bolsa del Diablo project area. Plexmar has been notified by Ucucha that exploration can resume in May. Plexmar has its technical team ready for an imminent return on the project. Ucucha will notify Plexmar as soon as the communities' permission to bring equipment, such as the geophysical contractor's equipment and small diamond drilling rigs, is obtained. However, geologists will be back in the field this month. They will pursue the continuing sampling program and get ready for the continuation of the ground geophysical program.

Ucucha reported to Plexmar that, since January, a lot of progress was made toward the commercialization of ore and obtaining the acceptation to start the drilling program. Ucucha has purchased a 300-hectare piece of land, north of Piura, to accommodate its future processing plant. The land was chosen for its proximity to the gold producing areas and accommodations, while located in a desert environment away from agricultural areas. In order to process the ore until the local plant is ready, an increase in milling capacity was required at Ucucha's plant located near Nazca, in southern Peru. Capacity was increased from 150 tons per day to approximately 400 tons per day, two 20-foot-diameter leaching tanks were built, and a ball mill circuit was installed.

Following plant modifications, Ucucha reported the purchases of gold-bearing material from Plexmar's and adjoining concessions at a steadier rate. In the past two weeks, over 125 tons of waste material was bought from miner stockpiles grading 0.8 ounces per ton. Over 75 tons of hardrock material were also bought, with an average of 4.5 ounces of gold per ton. In the coming weeks, gold-bearing material purchases will ramp up to an average of 70 tons per day.

On the contractual side, Ucucha remains within the 90-day period imposed by the contracts (see Jan. 16, 2009, news release in Stockwatch). The days are working days, and the 90th working day falls May 19, 2009. Also, under the Peruvian mining law, mining contracts, such as the ones between Ucucha and Plexmar's subsidiary, need to be registered in the national public registry, and with the Ministry of Mines, before having full legal force. Due to extended delays in the legal system, those contracts have been fully registered and in full legal force only since this week. Notwithstanding this fact, Ucucha has made significant progress toward fulfilling its obligations.

In Ecuador, Plexmar is in steady contact with representatives from the Ecuador Ministry of Mines. Following the passing of the new law's regulations in the coming months, management expects to have better clarity on the status and future of its concessions. The company's activities have been limited to administrative and legal matters due to the mining mandate issued by the Ecuador Constituent Assembly on April 18, 2008, which, among other provisions, provided for the suspension of exploration activities in Ecuador for a period of 180 days. Ecuador recently passed a new mines law, which replaces the mining mandate, and is working on developing regulations, and finalizing terms and conditions of future mining operations. The company looks forward to working with government officials to this end.

Nach dem in Peru offenbar sehr positive Einstellungen zu Explorationen bestehen, siehe bspw. CARDERO(Eisenerz) und Entwicklungsverträge mit China, sollten auch die weiteren vorhandenen Schätzchen aus der peruanischen Erde geborgen werden müssen.

Plexmar Resources Inc.'s board of directors granted, yesterday, a total of 8,925,000 stock options to its officers and directors, consultants and service providers in accordance with the terms and conditions of the stock option plan and subject to any approval that may be required by the TSX Venture Exchange. Of this number, 6.5 million have been granted to its directors and officers and 2,425,000 have been granted to its consultants and services providers. Each stock option entitles its holder to subscribe one common share of the company at a price of 11 cents per share, which is the closing price on the TSX Venture as of May 4, 2009. The stock options are subject to a four-month holding period and their expiry date is May 4, 2014.

Kinross President and CEO Tye Burt told analysts Thursday that the recent re-election of Ecuador's Rafael Correa, combined with Ecuador's good relationship with the Canadian Government bodes well for the Fruta del Norte gold project.

In a conference call to discuss Kinross financial results, Burt said the company expects to attend $40 million to $45 million this year on the project of which $10 million will be budgeted for exploration.

The company expects to receive the necessary drilling permits by mid-year to proceed to proceed with a drilling program to support a pre-feasibility study.

Meanwhile Burt told analysts that the Russian Government's recent designation of Kinross's Kupol gold project as a strategic mineral deposit was anticipated and is "not an issue for us" since the designation doesn't impact acquisitions made by foreign mining companies prior to the enactment of the policy.

The company's drilling program at Kupol has Kinross "quite excited about what we're seeing there," Burt said. For the first quarter of this year, Kinross' shares of production was 169,292 ounces of gold and 1,697,485 ounces of silver at the Kupol mine.

In their guidance, Kinross hopes to produce 2.4 million to 2.5 million gold equivalent ounces this year, a 32% increase over 2008 production. Cost per gold equivalent ounce is expected to average $390 to $420 for this year.

On a by-product basis, Kinross expects to produce 2.2 million to 2.3 million ounces of gold and 12 million to 12.5 million ounces of silver this year at an average cost per gold ounce of $360 to $390.

FINANCIALS

Kinross reported net income for the first quarter of $76.5 million or 11-cents per share, compared with net earnings of $70.9 million or 12-cents per share for the same quarter for 2008. Net earnings for the first-quarter 2009 include a forex gain of $5.65 million or 1-cent per share.

Capital expenditures for 2009 are expected to be $475 million. Exploration and business development are forecast to be $75 million of which approximately $65 million will be allocated for exploration and corporate development.

Goldminenaktien - Darauf sollten Sie achten

Gold nimmt die 1.000 USD ins Visier. Goldminenwerte steigen rasant an und der AMEX Gold Bugs Index geht durch die Decke. Jeder fragt sich: Kann das so weitergehen? Die Zukunft wird es erst zeigen, doch unserer Ansicht nach sind Investments in Goldminenaktien weiterhin aussichtsreich. Allerdings muss man konstatieren, dass die meisten Werte schon einiges vorweggenommen haben. Korrekturen - auch stärker ausfallende - sollten von interessierten Lesern mit einkalkuliert werden. Als wir Mitte März unseren ersten Teil der Spezialreport-Reihe „Goldminenwerte“ herausbrachten, war das noch etwas anders. Zum damaligen Zeitpunkt bestand bei vielen Werten noch erhebliches Nachholpotential. Die Auswahl fiel nicht schwer. Und so konnten Empfehlungen aus diesem Teil, wie etwa eine Centerra Gold, bis heute über 80 % zulegen. Mitte Mai veröffentlichten wir dann den zweiten Teil dieser Reihe. Und es war schon etwas schwieriger, interessante Werte zu finden. Doch wir fanden sie, etwa in der Form einer Northgate Minerals, deren Aktienkurs in den letzten Tagen förmlich nach oben schnellte. In Kürze erscheint dann der dritte Teil.

Wenn man sich die aktuellen Rahmenbedingungen für Goldminen ansieht, dann sollten diese Werte in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten weiterhin auf der Gewinnerseite stehen. Der Goldpreis ist hoch und sollte es auch bleiben. Die Dollarschwemme dürfte über kurz oder lang zu einer Ausweitung der Inflation führen. Gold ist dann allererste Wahl. Doch auch die Industriemetalle sollten sich auf lange Sicht - von temporären Schwächephasen einmal abgesehen - positiv nach oben entwickeln können. Und wenn die Preise für Kupfer & Co. steigen, dürfte das für die meisten Goldproduzenten sehr zuträglich sein, denn viele fördern nicht unerhebliche Mengen von Beiprodukten ans Tageslicht. Bei der Auswahl von Goldaktien sollten interessierte Leser auch darauf achten, dass die Unternehmen keinen allzu großen Liquiditätsbedarf haben, denn dieser kann sich vor dem Hintergrund der Kreditkrise noch immer als Achillesferse darstellen. Es sind Unternehmen zu bevorzugen, die einen hohen Cash-Flow erzielen. Auch sollten im Idealfall keine Verträge über Vorwärtsverkäufe existieren bzw. nur in einem geringen Maße. Eine Bewertung der Produktionskosten und der Reserven/Ressourcen darf selbstverständlich ebenfalls nicht fehlen.

Wie bereits eingangs erwähnt, haben viele Aktien von Goldunternehmen in den letzten Wochen immense Kurssprünge gemacht. Ein gewisses Rückschlagspotential ist somit nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Bauen Sie Ihre Positionen daher sukzessive in Schwächephasen hinein auf und kaufen Sie nicht alles auf ein Mal. Regional würden wir neben australischen vor allem nordamerikanische Werte bevorzugen. Lange Zeit wurden südafrikanische Goldunternehmen gemieden. Doch mittlerweile sind auch sie wieder interessanter. In dem in Kürze erscheinenden dritten Teil der Spezialreportserie beleuchten wir daher die aktuellen Aussichten der „Südafrikaner“.

As he replaced his Oil and Mines Minister, Ecuador's President Rafael Correa vowed to take a tougher line to all multinational oil companies "that still believe they can continue to abuse our country."

When Correa won election to a second presidential term, his cabinet submitted their resignations last month to allow for cabinet changes.

On Monday Correa replaced Oil and Mines Minister Derlis Palacios with Germanico Pinto, the deputy minister of strategic sectors who participated in talks this year with mining companies.

Palacios had started talks to negotiate new contracts with mining and oil companies, which Pinto is expected to continue. The government plans to start individual negotiations later this year with some mining companies to sign extraction deals.

Ecuador's newly enacted mining law is aimed at fostering a mining industry which could generate around $110 billion.

However, Correa is expected to take a much tougher stance with oil companies. "We're going to radicalize our citizens' revolution ...and that radicalization implies demanding respect," the president said at the swearing-in for Pinto. "Germanico will take a much former approach toward all those companies that think they can still keep abusing the country."

Ecuador is currently reworking oil deals to increase control over the sector and expects to approve new service deals later this year. Several foreign oil companies are now suing Ecuador over issues ranging from taxation to seizure of oil production.

Under the new oil contracts system, foreign companies will lose the option of seeking international arbitration at the World Bank's International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and will have to use local or regional courts to settle any disputes.

Pinto told Reuters Monday he will continue government policies in the oil and mining sectors. Among the companies holding mining concessions in Ecuador are Corriente Resources, Kinross, International Mineral Corp., and IAMGOLD.

PLEXMAR REACTIVATES LIMA STOCK EXCHANGE (BVL) LISTING PROCESS

Plexmar Resources Inc. has reactivated the listing process of its shares on the Bolsa de Valores de Lima (BVL) with Intercapital Canada Inc. The process, started in July, 2008, was suspended last year due to adverse and unforeseen market conditions (see Stockwatch news of July 2, 2008).

In 2009, the BVL index has increased by over 100 per cent and has consistently been one of the most profitable exchanges in the world. Mining shares which make up 61 per cent of BVL exchange listings continue to lead the charge on account of rebounding commodities prices. Since 2005 the BVL has been listing foreign mining and exploration companies, and the regional capital markets have been very receptive as shown by these companies' trading volumes.

Intercapital Canada is the Canadian subsidiary of Intercapital SAB SA, a private Peruvian brokerage house and investment bank. Intercapital is one of three chartered BVL sponsors, and the only private sponsorship entity. Intercapital's Canada office is headed by managing partner, Luis Zapata. Mr. Zapata has years of experience in the Canadian capital markets having previously held positions at both a major Canadian brokerage house and a boutique private equity firm. Bin übrigens eins der armen Schweine, das seit 2006-09-14 (!!!!) investiert ist (den Gesamtbestand aber nie gepflegt hat und gelegentlich über diesen Titel in seinem Leichendepot stolpert; das heißt, ich habe PLE zwar - aber schon 'überwunden';-) Eine Abschreibung aus steuerlichen Gründen hab ich damals nicht erwogen, heute gehts nicht mehr B-(

PLEXMAR ACQUIRES HIGH GRADE PRODUCING PROPERTY

Plexmar Resources Inc. has recently signed, through one of its subsidiaries, an option agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the mining rights for the Hans XX concession located in Northern Peru.

This 400-hectare concession is located 21 kilometres northwest of Las Lomas in the Suyo district, adjacent to the south of the community where the Bolsa del Diablo project is located and structurally aligned. Channel samples taken across the vein structures vary from five grams per tonne to 174.5 g/t gold (5.3 ounces per ton). Current daily production from artisanal miners amounts to 120 tons per day with grades at 1.5 ounces per ton. The silver and gold are at a 1.5-to-one ratio.

As the community is heavily engaged in mining activities, there are no foreseen problems and delays in obtaining community permission to start a drilling program. Detailed mapping and systematic sampling of all informal workings is currently under way.

"We are very happy to be able to option this important concession. It fits perfectly with our objective to consolidate the best properties in this emerging new mining camp. Current production from Hans XX accounts for about 50 per cent of the tonnage mined daily in the whole area. Mine workings currently stop at a depth of 60 metres, which is the water table level where wall stability is a concern and also the start of the sulphide zone, which signifies harder rock. In those workings, we can observe the high density of the vein system. Potential is high to uncover many more high-grade veins and the upside lies below the 60-metre level," says Guy Bedard, president.

Over 10 subparallel structures oriented northeast and dipping at 800 degrees have been mapped varying from 0.1 m to 0.45 m in width, hosted by volcanoclastics rocks interlaced with bands of andesitic lavas. Known outcropping structures can be traced from 200 up to 1,000 m in length. Part of the concession is covered with alluvial and colluvial material. Light to moderate oxidation zones are present superficially, with an ensemble of hematite-limonite-jarosite-goethite, in which a milky massive silica matrix, calcite in small veins and sporadic massive pyrite can be observed. The oxidation goes to approximately 60 m deep, after which the sulphide zone begins. Current artisanal workings indicate the depth of the oxidation zone. They clearly show more horizontal and vertical structures that are large and do not outcrop. Plexmar believes that the mineralization is associated with a local granodioritic porphyric intrusion and the hydrothermal activity present in the area.

To acquire a 100-per-cent interest, Plexmar has to spend a total of $1-million (U.S.) in exploration work over a five-year period, with $100,000 during the first year and $200,000 during the second. It must make payments totalling $1.6-million over the same period, with $300,000 during the first year -- of which a payment of $100,000 has already been made -- and $250,000 during the second year. A 1.7-per-cent net smelter royalty is also payable to the owner when commercial production is reached. Plexmar has a right of first refusal on the royalty.

This transaction is subject to approval from the TSX Venture Exchange and regulatory authorities.

Ich hängte jahrelang bei nem ähnlichen Mist ab, Goldmarca, dann nannten sie sich um in Ecometals, dann splitteten sie, der einzig wahre Wert, den sie hatten, war ne Beteiligung, die sie verschleuderten (ich nehme an, jmd bekam ne 'Fee') dann zuckte der Mist mal endlich auf, ich trennte mich angefressen von dem Zeug und seitdem marschiert das Ding in Regionen, die ich nie für möglich hielt.
Warum ich das erzähle? Ganz einfach, weil die mit der gleichen Masche wie PLE operieren: Nachbar von Aurelian.
Non, je ne regrette rien, wie wir Italiener sagen, wenn du zur Nutte gehst, musst mit nem Tripper rechnen.

Da kann ein Billigeinstieg mit kleiner Position durchaus interessant sein, wie an dem Vorbeispiel erläutert.



Wer noch Plexmar aus Ende 2008 im Depot hat, wird ohnehin nicht traurig sein mit deren Entwicklung.

Wenn du deinen Frust nicht bändigen kannst, dann suche dir ein anderes Opfer.

Im Übrigen habe ich auch MOTO genau in der "Krise" gekauft und einen 600 %-Gewinn damit erzielt.
Das ist es eben. Manches Mal gelingt es,wenn man kauft, wenn die Kanonen donnern, manches Mal eben nicht.

Mein Prinzip ist eseben, zu kaufen, wenn es billig ist. Dann ist auch der eventuelle Verlust nicht so hoch.

Denk mal darüber nach!

Ich werde mich mit dir auf keine weitere Diskussion einlassen, bin jedoch felsenfest davon überzeugt, dass kein normaler Mensch PLE Ende 2008 neu gekauft hat. Wenn du überhaupt was gemacht hast, dann hast du verbilligt, da man mit viel Mut eine Bodenbildung erahnen konnte.
Du bist sowieso als Wunderwuzzi verschrien, mir ist deine Pusherei jedoch allemal lieber, als jede Form von Bashen. Nur darfst halt nicht annehmen, dass dir jemand was glaubt, besonders nicht die 600% bei MGL;-)
Wenn du die MD&A ohne Übersetzungsprogramm lesen kannst, müsstest du erkannt haben, dass PLE selbst seit langer Zeit NICHT DIE GERINGSTE CHANCE in deren einzig interessanten Projekt BDD sieht, weswegen sie schon lange alle Arbeiten gestoppt haben. Sie hoffen heuer lediglich darauf, dass der lokale Partner wenigstens die Kommunikation mit den Gemeinden herstellen kann, ohne deren Ok die Regierung nichts genehmigt.
Damit PLE das Platzierungsspiel weiter am Drehen halten kann, haben sie halt jetzt ein neues Karnickel (du kannst auch sagen 'Hasen') aus dem Zylinder gezaubert.
Verschone mich mit deine Performance-Postings und bleibe bei deinen Charts. Ausserdem empfehle ich dir die Ignore-Taste.
Aufdass diese Bude nun wirklich mal was zusammen bringt (die History spricht leider dagegen)!

The plant will be rehabilitated and a carbon in pulp circuit will be installed to process gold ores. The copper line will have an initial rate of 100 tons per day. According to J&M, the average copper grade will be 5 per cent and at a price of $3.00 (U.S.) per pound with a production of 2,500 tons per month, projected net profits before taxes amount to $4.8-million (U.S.) annually.

The gold circuit will have an initial installed capacity of 100 tons per day and will be increased to 200 tons per day after six months of operation. Projected profits from the gold circuit are $7.2-million (U.S.) annually with gold at Uniteds States dollars 1,000 per ounce.

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: MALIN PLANT AT 80% COMPLETION

Plexmar Resources Inc. has been informed by its joint venture partner, J&M Business (a private Peruvian company), that the flotation mill at its Malin plant site near Trujillo has been reconditioned and upgraded to a 90-per-cent mechanical and 70-per-cent electrical completion.

Photos from work being done on the Malin plant can be viewed on the company's website.

The plant is expected to be in start-up mode in April, 2010, at a rate of 60 tonnes per day and production will increase to 120 tonnes per day in the third quarter of 2010. The original feed for the plant will be sourced from some of Plexmar's concessions and the company's Peruvian partner consisting mostly of high-grade copper-gold ores. In addition to reconditioning and upgrading of the plant, leach tanks are being added to process gold ores in a separate circuit.

The following sections of the Malin plant were reconditioned and overhauled:

* For higher-quality sampling, a conveyor belt was added to the crushing system. It is now an independent circuit.
* The flotation circuit has been upgraded, the classic Denver flotation cells were replaced by WC cells (closed model), which are similar to small leach tanks with a diffusor creating foam for producing concentrates of copper with silver and gold content.

The civil works for the gold leach agitation tanks and construction are 70 per cent completed. As a result the gold circuit will be functional shortly after plant start-up.

The total investment in the plant itself will be in excess of $900,000. J&M has hired an accredited consulting firm authorized by the Ministry of Mines and Energy to produce the EIA (environmental impact and tailings study). The study, once approved by the ministry, requires that all work to be completed on-site be supervised by the accredited consultant prior to the final permit delivery.

Plexmar looks forward to the sharing of revenues on a 50-50 basis with J&M and to apply its share to the exploration of its concessions in Peru. Plexmar owns four concessions in the vicinity of the Malin plant and also owns 225 square kilometres of concessions (Bolsa del Diablo) in northern Peru.

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC. COMPLETES $387,850 PRIVATE OFFERING

Plexmar Resources Inc. completed today a private offering for a gross amount of $387,850. The offering is a first tranche of a private offering totalling $1-million and consisted in the issuance of a total of 4,309,444 units at a price of nine cents per unit. Each unit comprises one Plexmar common share and one common share purchase warrant. Each whole common share purchase warrant entitles its holder to subscribe to one additional common share at a price of 15 cents per share for 18 months after the closing date.

Plexmar intends to use the proceeds of this private offering for the implementation of its exploration programs and for its working capital.

For the purposes of this private offering, Plexmar paid a total cash compensation of $15,828 to an intermediary.

Securities issued as part of this offering are subject to a four-month hold period under applicable securities legislation.

Stock options

The board of directors has awarded 500,000 stock purchase options at a price of 11 cents to a board member, Richard Faucher. These options were granted by the board as a result of the active role Mr. Faucher has played in terms of strategic development for Plexmar in Peru and the technical support he is providing to Plexmar in addition to his role as a director. Over the next few months Mr. Faucher will be advising Plexmar on various aspects of its development and he will be reviewing the performance of the Malin plant due to start in May, 2010, as well as actively participate in discussions with the company's partners in Peru on permitting for exploration and other opportunities. The stock options are valid for a five-year period.

Investor relations

The company has retained the services of Paradox Public Relations Inc. as strategic investor relations consultants to the company. Paradox will focus on developing and expanding Plexmar's communications with the investment community through a comprehensive investor relations program. Services to be provided to Plexmar include: national marketing to the Canadian investment community, use of Paradox's proprietary database and contacts, organizing presentations on behalf of the company, and providing an e-mail service and incoming call service. Paradox has been engaged pursuant to a 12-month agreement effective April 15. Under the agreement, Plexmar has agreed to pay Paradox $5,000 per month, which has already been paid for the duration of the agreement. Paradox has been granted 700,000 incentive stock options at a price of 11 cents per share. The options shall vest and become exercisable at a rate of 25 per cent per quarter over the first 12-month period. This agreement is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.

Plexmar confirms cancelling contract with Ucucha

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: BOLSA DEL DIABLO AND ECUADOR PROJECTS UPDATE

At the request of the TSX Venture Exchange, Plexmar Resources Inc. is confirming that a decision was made last November to start, through its Peruvian subsidiary, the cancellation procedures for the contract signed in November, 2008, with Ucucha Ming SAC. Official cancellation papers are expected in the coming weeks. The contract was for the exclusive commercialization and production rights for mining the top 100 metres on the Bolsa del Diablo project. In return Ucucha had to obtain all necessary authorizations from the local communities to allow exploration and mining and 10-per-cent royalty from the minerals extracted. However Ucucha failed to obtain the official signed papers from the communities to allow a drilling program as per the time frame dictated in the agreement. In Stockwatch May 4, 2009, it was stated that exploration could resume and that Ucucha would inform the company as soon as the community's permission was obtained to allow a drilling program. From then, company geologists were able to continue their work and large scale and detailed mapping was pursued over the Angolos and surrounding concessions, and has been continuing ever since.

The company also announces that it is currently negotiating with a private mining and processing company a similar arrangement. Upon reaching an agreement, the company will announce the detailed contractual terms.

The company received confirmation from the government of Ecuador that following the enactment of the new mining law in Ecuador in early 2010, the mining rights on the Escondida properties have been revoked. At this time, the company has taken steps to recover all the titles. The new mining law and regulations have yet to clearly state the exact process under which companies can be granted mining titles replacing the old ones. Mining ministry officials have told the company that after the concession award process is finalized it would be given priority, given the amounts already invested. Under these circumstances, pending resolution of titles, management decided to write off the remaining capitalized cost on these properties ($1,172,449).

... das wird's dann wohl für PLE gewesen sein, denn wenn Ucucha schon nichts ausrichten konnte, werden sie aber sicher PLE behindern. Nicht nur die Minenverordung hilft ihnen dabei, sondern auch die 'artisans'.
Ich habe meine PLEs schon längst als wertlos kategorisiert und zusammen mit GLM (bzw EC wie sie heute heißen) ist das ganze Aureliankapitel leider für mich voll in die Hose gegangen. Schade - denn es hätte auch was werden können, die Chance war da! Richtig wäre gewesen sofort nach den Spinnereien der Behörden zu verkaufen. High risk eben B-(

Plexmar Resources Inc.'s Malin plant will start dry run procedures during the week of May 22 and test runs will be carried out on all the equipment. A purchasing centre was set up near Trujillo and a lab was built at the plant. All mechanical overhaul and maintenance are completed as well as the expansion to 100 tonnes per day (from the 50 t/d original capacity). The plant has an installed capacity of 100 tonnes per day to process gold ores and 100 tonnes per day to process copper sulphides. Normal operations are scheduled to start in June.

Plexmar Resources Inc. has received notice from the national public registry that the contract signed with Minera Ucucha SAC for the Bolsa del Diablo project was officially and legally cancelled.

This cancellation notice clears the way for the completion of the continuing negotiations with a private mining and processing company aimed at resolving the access issues to allow exploration at the Bolsa project.

Private placement

The private placement announced in Stockwatch on April 12, 2010, has been completed. A total of $387,850 was placed and no further closing has taken place. No commissions were paid in relation to this offering, which consisted of the issuance of a total of 4,309,444 units at a price of nine cents per unit. Each unit consists of one Plexmar common share and one common share purchase warrant. Plexmar Resources Inc. Plexmar Resources wird innerhalb eines Monats mit der Produktion beginnen. Diese wird auf einer 50:50 Jointventurepartnerschaft zum Betrieb der Malin Anlage mit J&M Business erfolgen, einem wichtigen peruanischen Partner, der 13,7% des Aktienkapitals von Plexmar besitzen wird. J&M wird folgende Beiträge leisten:

• Erwerb und Erhalt von Explorationslizenzen
• Erwerb aller Genehmigungen für Abbau und Verarbeitung
• Bau und Betrieb einer neuen Anlage neben Bolsa de Diablo
• Bau eines Goldkreislaufs bei der Malin-Anlage
• Gesamtinvestment von 1,7 Mio. $

Die vorhergesehene Produktion sollte bis 2012 etwa 33.000 oz erreichen. Dadurch könnte ein Cashflow von geschätzten 11 Mio. $ pro Jahr generiert werden. Dieser könnte dann weitere Explorationstätigkeiten und vielversprechende Lizenzen finanzieren.

Wenn dies erreicht wird, könnte laut Zihlmann alleine der Cashflow einen deutlich höheren Aktienpreis rechtfertigen.

Der Schweizer Assetmanager Peter Zihlmann empfiehlt die Aktie des Unternehmens zum Kauf bei hohem Risiko-Rating.

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: BOLSA DEL DIABLO AGREEMENT

Plexmar Resources Inc., through its wholly owned Peruvian subsidiary, has granted rights to Minera Trece Barras SAC to provide exploration services and exploitation of high-grade gold veins on the Bolsa del Diablo project. The agreement covers the oxide portion containing more than six grams per tonne gold and has a 10-year maximum duration. The oxide has an average depth of 50 metres. In return, a 2-per-cent net smelter royalty will be paid to Plexmar as well as revenues sharing from future exploitation. Ores extracted from the Bolsa del Diablo project may be purchased to feed the Malin plant.

Part of Minera Trece Barras's obligations is to comply with the mining law and obtain all necessary permits to allow exploration and exploitation, including permissions from the local communities, environmental impact studies and all ministerial authorization.

Minera Trece Barras is a prominent Peruvian mining company with 30 years of experience in processing precious metals and dealing with mining communities.

The Hans XX and Angolos concessions are not part of this agreement as the current option agreements have not been completed to allow such a transaction.

Plexmar can terminate this agreement should Minera Trece Barras is not able to fulfill its obligations. This agreement was negotiated at arm's length, as the two parties are totally independent from each other.

Plexmar Resources Inc. has arranged an offering of up to 10,625,000 units in a non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of up to $850,000. The unit consists of a one common share at eight cents and one share purchase warrant per share. Each warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one common share at a price of 14 cents per share for 18 months from closing of the transaction.

The offering is subject to regulatory acceptance and final documentation, and is scheduled to close on or before July 8, 2010. The securities sold will be subject to a four-month-plus-one-day hold period from the date of closing.

Plexmar Resources Inc. wishes to rectify information published on the Internet by Radio Cutivalu (Piura-Peru) on June 6, 2010, regarding the press release issued in Stockwatch June 3, 2010, on the contractual agreement reached with Minera Trece Barras SAC for the Bolsa del Diablo project:

* Plexmar has not signed a merger agreement or any kind of association agreement with Trece Barras. Trece Barras is a private company financed by Peruvian capital.

* Also, Plexmar has not signed any type of services contract with Trece Barras.

* Plexmar wishes to inform the international public opinion that any type of mining contracts signed by Plexmar must be done and executed according to the legal system of the country where the concessions are located. It is not a requirement of Plexmar but rather one from the general mining law of Peru that Trece Barras has to fulfill its legal obligations before exploring and producing from the property.

* Plexmar clarifies that, as a public company, it is obligated to strictly follow the legal norms for any type of business transactions done in Peru. As a result, it cannot enter into a transaction with natural and/or legal entity that do not have the requirements imposed by the general mining law, as is the case with the local artisanal miners located in the Department of Piura.

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: SERVICES CONTRACT FOR MALIN PLANT

Plexmar Resources Inc. has signed a services contract agreement with Iimpul Peru SAC to supply gold-bearing ores to the Malin plant gold circuit. On December, 2009, J&M Business SAC and Plexmar's Peruvian subsidiary signed a joint-venture contract to rehabilitate, operate the plant and to add a gold circuit so as to process gold-bearing ores extracted from the Bolsa del Diablo project and from other local sources.

The plant is now ready to operate following the dry runs, testing and adjustments on all of the mill equipments during the month of June. The terms of reference of the environmental impact study of the Malin plant have recently been approved by the Direccion General de Mineria in Trujillo, Peru. The plant can now begin the metallurgical test run for the gold circuit and carry out necessary adjustments and establish the parameters of operation such as consumption of reagents, grind fineness and times of residence.

Iimpul will work closely with J&M Business at the plant to purchase gold ores in the nearby region as well as from Plexmar's concessions in order to operate the plant at the maximum installed capacity, and manage the financial resources such as working capital in order to guarantee the continuity of the operation of the plant.

In compensation for the continuous services rendered by Iimpul, Plexmar committed to pay Iimpul, an amount equivalent to $795,710, as a success fee, through the issuance of Plexmar common shares, to be delivered according to the two following milestones:

* Immediately after the gold circuit of the Malin plant processes no less than 50 metric tons per day for 10 consecutive days, Iimpul will receive 50 per cent of the total amount of this services contract.
* Immediately after the gold circuit of the Malin plant processes no less than 100 metric tons per day for 10 consecutive days, Iimpul will receive the remaining 50 per cent of the total amount committed for this services contract.

The price of the common shares will be determined at the closing of the Canadian market the day upon reception of the confirmation that each milestone has been completed to the satisfaction of Plexmar, in accordance with the rules and policies of TSX Venture Exchange and regulatory authorities.

The Malin plant will operate through a 50:50 joint venture with J&M Business. The plan now has an installed capacity of 100 tonnes per day to process gold ores. Net income before taxes will be shared on a 50:50 basis with J&M Business and Plexmar will apply a share of this income to the exploration of its concessions in Peru. Plexmar owns four concessions in the vicinity of the Malin plant and also owns 225 square kilometres of concessions (Bolsa del Diablo) in northern Peru.

Each unit is composed of one Plexmar common share and one common share purchase warrant. Each whole common share purchase warrant entitles its holder to subscribe to one additional common share for a period of 18 months at a price of 12 cents per share. Plexmar intends to use the proceeds of this private offering for the implementation of its exploration programs and for its working capital.

For the purposes of this private offering, Plexmar has granted to certain intermediaries a total cash compensation of $65,200 and a total of 646,667 broker warrants entitling the holders to subscribe to one additional common share for a period of 18 months at a price of 12 cents per share.

vorweg einmal: die meinungen über die "Quelle"-Emerging market investor gehen auseinander, aber ich kann von meiner seite aus nur positives feedback geben, hatte sogar auch schon mal einen 300% kanditaten dabei

Achten Sie unbedingt auf die Aktie von PLEXMAR RESOURCES! Die
Aktie hat sich in den vergangenen Wochen in Kanada verdoppelt. Damit liegt
der Kurs bei CAD 0.10, was noch immer 90% unter den vor einigen Jahren verzeichneten
Notierungen liegt.

Goldfunden für Furore gesorgt, als Bohrungen im Condor-Projekt
in Peru Ergebnisse von bis zu 1‘000 Gramm/Tonne gebracht haben. Einzelne
Venen beinhalteten bis zu 635 Gramm/Tonne. Zum Vergleich: Die Förderung
von Gold ist in der Regel bereits ab 0.8 Gramm/Tonne rentabel.



Diese Goldgehalte
sind nur vergleichbar mit jener von Aurelian, die vor zwei Jahren von Kinross
für über eine Milliarde US-Dollar übernommen wurden. Pikant: Die Explorationsgebiete
von PLEXMAR RESOURCES liegen nur 5 km von den Aurelian-
Properties entfernt. Nicht wenige Experten sehen damit in PLEXMAR
RESOURCES die nächste Aurelian, die sich von CAD 0.30 auf CAD 35 mehr
als verhundertfacht hat. Und dennoch: Wenngleich PLEXMAR schon vor zwei
Jahren die sensationellen Goldgehalte meldete, ist der Kurs seither von CAD 1
bis auf CAD 0.05 gefallen. Warum? Nun, weil das Unternehmen seither immer wieder die Produktionsaufnahme angekündigt
hat, dies aber nie umsetzen konnte. Als Folge wandten sich die Investoren frustriert und in Scharen ab. Ver -
gessen und vorbei: Erst meldete das Unternehmen ein neues Management, vergangene Woche die letzte ausstehende
Genehmigung der Umweltbehörden und vor allem: Die Aufnahme der Produktion ab Dezember. Ab dem kommenden
Jahr will man jedes Quartal die Höhe der Produktion und der erzielten Umsätze bekanntgeben. Die Gesellschaft hat noch
keine offiziellen Ressourcenschätzungen nach JORC- oder NI-43101-Standard. Zu verlockend ist angesichts der gewaltigen
Goldgrade, die bis an die Oberfläche reichen, sofort mit der Produktion zu beginnen. Wir sehen gute Chancen, dass
die Aktie wieder da hin kommt, wo sie vor einigen Jahren schon einmal war. Damit reden wir hier über ein glattes

PLEXMAR RESOURCES INC.: MALIN PLANT AND PROJECT UPDATE

The gold circuit at Plexmar Resources Inc.'s joint venture Malin plant will begin its operations in approximately 15 days.

The initial capacity of the circuit is 70 tonnes per day which will be increased to 100 tonnes per day in July, 2011. Gold-bearing ores are currently being stockpiled, over 900 tonnes of gold-bearing oxide ores grading an average of 21 grams per tonne Au have been purchased from different suppliers located in northern Peru.

The polymetallic circuit is presently operating at an average rate of 70 tonnes per day, custom milling an antimony and silver ore pile. See Stockwatch news release Jan. 26, 2011. The polymetallic circuit capacity will be increased to 150 tonnes next April, 2011, and to 200 tonnes per day during the month of July. The joint venture will start purchasing its own polymetallic ores during the month of March.

Following plant modifications, the total installed capacity at Malin will be 300 tonnes per day in July, 2011.

The Malin plant is a custom mill processing plant located near the town of Trujillo and is being operated through a 50-50 joint venture with J&M Business SAC.

Concurrently, the joint venture partners are negotiating the purchase of a gold lixiviation processing plant located in the Suyo area, department of Piura, in northern Peru. The plant is currently operating at a rate of 25 tonnes/day and processing high-grade local gold ores. The capacity will be increased to a minimum of 60 tonnes/day in a timeframe of 120 days after closing. Once completed, this acquisition will facilitate the purchasing of the gold ores currently being extracted, by local miners, from the Bolsa del Diablo area. Full transaction details will be provided upon conclusion of the negotiations.

Marilia project

Also, an exploration program will be initiated on the Marilia group of concessions located near Cajabamba, La Libertad department, about four kilometres northeast of Sulliden's Shahuindo gold deposit. The company owns three concessions totalling 1,600 hectares. A first reconnaissance trip is to take place in the coming days and will be followed by a full-scale mapping and geochemistry program.

The 500-hectares Marilia 1 property hosts the same stratigraphy as Shahuindo, and the exploration program will be directed to outline mineralization consisting of oxidized disseminated gold-silver within permeable rock such as breccias and fractured sediments. Thirty-two samples were collected in 2003, most of them coming from the western side close to a carbon-rich horizon.

Most of the samples consisted of breccias showing various levels of oxidation (hematite, limonite and goethite) and ### quartz sericite alteration. Best values were 2,24 g/t Au and 27,8 g/t Ag within a fine grained oxidized breccia and 0,9 g/t Au and 67,1 g/t Ag over 1,5m at the hanging wall of the carbon rich horizon.

Toronto, Mar. 07 (ANDINA). Peru will be promoting its portfolio of mining investments during the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention, Trade Show and Investors Exchange-Mining Investment Show in Toronto.
According to Energy and Mines Minister Pedro Sanchez, Peru has a portfolio of mining investments totaling US$42 billion, which suggests a bright future for the country. "This is a significant figure as compared with the US$24 billion portfolio two years ago," he said.

Sanchez went on to say that important mining projects are being carried out in the country such as the ones related to copper like the expansion of Antamina with an investment of 1.1 billion dollars and Antapaccay of Xstrata Copper for 1.5 billion dollars. These two projects must start their operations by 2012.

Meanwhile Toromocho of Chinalco Mining Company, which invested 2.2 billion dollars, is another important mining project which must start its operations in 2013.

The mining project Las Bambas from Xstrata Copper in Apurimac will start its operation in 2014. This project had an investment of 4.2 billion dollars.

Sanchez leads the Peruvian delegation that participates in the PDAC International Trade Show which is held in Toronto, Canada.

The Peruvian delegation is made up from representatives from the ministries of Foreign Trade and Tourism and Environment, regional governments and Peru's Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute (Ingemmet).

Export and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPerú), the country’s Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión), the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), the Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce, Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) and the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCR) are also part of the Peruvian delegation.
