Northwestern Mineral Ventures (WKN: A0B917, ISIN: CA6681301074, Kanadisches Symbol: NWT.V) könnte m. E. nach Uramin der nächste Übernahmekandidat werden.

Northwestern Mineral Ventures ist einen Joint-Venture-Vertrag mit UraMin eingegangen, um eine neue Gesellschaft zu bilden, die insgesamt acht höchst erfolgsversprechende Konzessionen für Uran im Niger betreiben wird. Northwestern wird einen Anteil von 50 % am neuen Unternehmen bekommen.

Für Uramin wurde von Areva vergangene Woche ein Übernahmeangebot abgegeben. Und prompt sprang auch Northwestern Mineral Ventures an. Knapp 27 % stieg der Aktienkurs von Northwestern M. bei zeitgleich noch nie dagewesenem Volumen.

Nun fragt sich nur warum der Kurs so erheblich angestiegen ist. Keine News, (noch?) kein Übernahmeangebot.

Ich denke, daß Areva auch gleich das Nigerprojekt komplett übernehmen möchte. Aber 50 % vom Nigerprojekt gehören aber Northwestern Mineral Ventures. Somit dürfte doch wohl auch Northw. übüernommen werden oder?

Hier ist der Hauptthread: Thread: Northwestern Mineral - Start der Produktion bereits im Herbst 2005? Keiner findet für den explosiven Handel eine Erklärung. Meiner Meinung nach kann der Grund nur eine Übernahmeabsicht sein.

Sehr interessantes Posting aus dem Stockhouse:

I am speculating that UMN may use up its cash pile to take over NWT. Then NWT assets will all be under the Niger Uranium spin off which will not be included in the AREVA deal. Purely my speculation here.
AREVA's offer is too low. I am surprised that the management is recommending it but not all the details are available yet. If the offer does not include UMN's more than $200 million cash pile, then the deal is better but still not adequate. In this case, UMN will have to spend the cash before the completion of the deal. What are they going to spend it on? Buying up NWT is certainly a possibility.
As far as NWT goes, I expect it to see $2.00 mark by the end of next week.

GIVEN THAT NWT IS JOINT VENTURE WITH UMN, IT IS A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE AREVA PRESENTS A BUYOUT OFFER TO NWT FOR THEIR PROPERTY. WE WILL ALL BE PART OF AREVA.

HANG ON TO YOUR SHARES, SPECULATION OF THIS DEAL, WHICH I THINK IS BEING CONCLUDED AND THIS IS REASON WE HAVE RALLIED, SHOULD BE ANNOUNCED AS SOON AS UMN DEAL IS FINALIZED.

WE SHOULD GO TO $ 2 PER SHARE NEXT WEEK, I EXPECT A BUYOUT WOULD PROBABLY BE IN THE $ 4 TO $ 5 PER SHARE RANGE. HUGE VOLUME ON BREAKOUT WITH 25% CLIMB IS CONFIRMATION OF A NEW BULL MARKET FOR NWT.
