Final Borealis uranium results - Additional staking completed
Tuesday November 27, 2:53 pm ET

      KRX - TSX.V
VANCOUVER, Nov. 27 /CNW/ - Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge" or the "Company") announces the final results of the exploration programs conducted on its Borealis Uranium Project located northeast of Dawson City in the Yukon. A 1,108 kilometre airborne radiometric and magnetic survey successfully defined a large area of anomalously high uranium both within and fringing the Deadman intrusive body (see attached map). Follow-up prospecting and silt, soil and rock sampling confirmed previous results and identified several targets for additional follow-up.

The Borealis property covers approximately 3,550 hectares of the Deadman Stock, a mid Cretaceous multiphase granitic unit of the Tombstone Suite intrusive complex. Uranium mineralization is associated with a late stage phase of syenite dykes within the stock and occurs as structurally controlled lenses of pitchblende and as disseminations of uraninite within the syenite.

The property was discovered in the 1970's by Chevron Minerals following a program of reconnaissance airborne surveying and stream sediment sampling. Follow-up prospecting discovered several areas of float and outcrop in the stock with significant uranium mineralization. In one area, 24 samples taken from a 10 by 60 m talus train returned values ranging from 38 to 4200 ppm U and averaging 2100 ppm U (0.21%). A sample of angular float from another area returned a value of 9.7 % U(3)O(8).

The airborne survey was successful in defining a much larger area of anomalously high uranium than was previously recognized. Based on the results of the survey, Copper Ridge has staked an additional 80 claims to cover anomalous rocks that were outside of the initial 92 unit claim block.

The soil and silt sampling programs were focused on evaluating a small portion of the larger radiometric anomaly defined by the airborne survey and were successful in identifying several areas for detailed follow-up in 2008. Eighteen of the 36 silt samples collected exceeded the 90th percentile value of 10 ppm uranium for silt samples in the Selwyn Basin as determined by regional programs conducted by the Yukon government. Two samples, returning 29 and 93 ppm uranium, exceeded the 99th percentile value of 28 ppm.

The rock sampling program served to confirm the uranium mineralization previously discovered by Chevron. Of 21 samples collected in the known showing areas, 11 returned values greater than 0.05 % (500 ppm) uranium. The results of these 11 samples are shown in the table below:

      Sample Type U (%) U ppm
      36451 Grab 0.113 greater than 1000
      36452 Grab 0.106 greater than 1000
      36454 Grab 597.6
      36455 Grab 0.222 greater than 1000
      36456 Grab 115.8
      36457 Grab 162.3
      36458 Grab 0.184 greater than 1000
      36459 Grab 2.080 greater than 1000
      36460 Grab 0.118 greater than 1000
      576553 Grab 0.158 1752.0
      576554 Grab 0.243 greater than 2000.0
      576563 Grab 875.9
      576565 Grab 0.114 1248.0

In addition, limited prospecting in areas of high uranium background returned two grab samples which reported values of 236 and 154 ppm uranium. The area where these samples were taken was not previously known to host uranium mineralization and is high priority follow-up target for 2008.

The positive exploration results for the 2007 season confirm that anomalous uranium mineralization occurs over a large area on the Borealis Project. The results set the stage for an aggressive program of exploration in 2008 which will include more detailed soil and silt sampling, intensive prospecting, geologic mapping and trenching. Contingent on success, the results of these programs will be used to guide a drilling program.

The airborne survey was carried out by Aeroquest International Ltd. and assays were completed by Acme Analytical Laboratories. Mr. J. Greg Dawson, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Copper Ridge, supervised the exploration program, is the Qualified Person for the Borealis project and is responsible for the technical content of this news release.

Copper Ridge's exploration philosophy focuses on maximizing the potential for success in a high-risk business. With grass roots mineral exploration, where the entry cost is low but the potential reward can be very high, success will be contingent on exploration skill and on carefully managed risk. Our management team brings tenacity, technical skill and experience, all crucial ingredients for discovery. By exploring a broad array of projects, focusing on the right commodities, in areas of high mineral potential, in mining-friendly jurisdictions and by sharing the risks on some projects with joint venture partners, Copper Ridge is exposing its shareholders to a greater chance for discovery. The Company is nearing completion of an active field program on its Yukon and British Columbia properties.

(im Erfolgsfall gehen 70% an CVRD)

Allein das Kalzas Projekt könnte der ABSOLUTE Knaller werden,
(was darüber spekuliert wird -guckt folgend mal selber :) )
      hier mal eine kurze Projektbeschreibung...

      "Kalzas Tungsten Project, Yukon

      Target

      * High grade, open pit tungsten deposit

      Project Summary

Copper Ridge owns a 100% interest in the Kalzas tungsten deposit in central Yukon. A previous operator, Union Carbide, carried out the initial exploration at Kalzas in the early 1980's and showed it to have the potential to be one of the largest tungsten deposits in the world. Sampling by Copper Ridge in 2001and 2002 showed the potential to define a high grade deposit of plus 1% WO3 over widths of 1 to 6 m. The Yukon Geological Survey characterizes Kalzas as the largest wolframite deposit in the world.
On August 8, 2007, the Company reached an agreement whereby Prospector Consolidated Resources Inc. ("Prospector") will have the right to earn a 100% interest in the property by paying $25,000 on signing the agreement and issuing 6,000,000 shares. Prospector is planning a major drill test at Kalzas during the 2008 field season.

The tungsten mineral wolframite occurs in sheeted veins, stockworks and disseminations. Within the roughly 1.5 square kilometer zone of mineralization, higher grade zones occur in competent quartzite and siliceous conglomerate beds that are steeply dipping and strike northwesterly across the property. Drilling will be required to demonstrate the continuity of high grade within these stratigraphically controlled zones.

The mineralized zone is believed to be underlain by a 90 million year old Tintina Gold Belt intrusion. Coincidentally, many of the Tintina Gold Belt gold deposits, including Scheelite Dome, are known for their tungsten association. At Kalzas, arsenic, bismuth and antimony occur within the core area of the tungsten deposit, suggesting the possibility of gold mineralization closer to the interpreted intrusion.

The deposit is ideally situated on the upper slopes of a mountain ridge that would allow ready access for mining with a low stripping ratio and downhill transport for ore to a processing facility.

      Ownership and Location

Copper Ridge owns a 100% interest in the eight contiguous unpatented quartz claims comprising the Kalzas property.. The property vendors retain a 2% net smelter return royalty, of which 1% can be purchased for $500,000.

On August 8, 2007, the Company reached an agreement whereby Prospector Consolidated Resources Inc. ("Prospector") will have the right to earn a 100% interest in the Company's Kalzas tungsten property, Yukon, by paying $25,000 on signing the agreement (paid), issuing 6,000,000 shares of Prospector to the Company in stages up to January 1, 2014, or the commencement of commercial production from the property, whichever comes first. The initial 500,000 shares will be due upon regulatory approval of the agreement. Prospector must also complete $4,080,000 in exploration expenditures on the property by December 31, 2010. Prospector will also be required to issue 2,000,000 share purchase warrants to the Company, 1,000,000 of which will be issued upon regulatory approval and will be priced at $0.25 in year one and $0.50 in year two, and 1,000,000 of which will be issued on or before December 31, 2010, with a two year life and price to be determined at the time of issue. Copper Ridge will retain the right to purchase half of the underlying 2% NSR royalty from the property vendors.

The Kalzas property is located 71 kilometers southeast of the town of Mayo in the central Yukon in the Mayo Mining District.

      Access and Geography

Access to the property is by helicopter from Mayo or fixed-wing aircraft from Mayo or Whitehorse to an airstrip on the property. A winter road has been used to access the property in the past.

The mineral claims are on the Kalzas Twins peak, the top of which is 1,990 meters. The peaks form a prominent landmark above the Kalzas plateau, which lies at approximately 1,500 meters. The property is covered by talus with some sparse bush and black spruce at lower elevations.

      Previous History and Geology

The Kalzas property was staked by prospector J.D. Randolph in 1978 following the discovery of tungsten mineralization. The property was optioned to Union Carbide in 1980. Union Carbide performed mapping and sampling in 1981 and 1982 and trenching in 1982. In 1983, they drilled 2 holes totaling 668 meters and completed further trenching. After some further trenching again in 1984, and a dramatic drop in the price of tungsten, Union Carbide dropped the property. The owner did additional trenching in 1990, 1991 and 1993.

The property host rocks are Proterozoic Windermere Supergroup quartz-rich clastic sediments. The deposit is underlain by a large, possibly Tombstone age (90 million year old) felsic pluton as indicated by aeromagnetics. A large hydrothermal system, 2 km to 2.5 km in diameter, underlies the Kalzas Twins, zoned from a potassic core, through a quartz-tourmaline-sericite zone to a peripheral phyllic (quartz-sericite-pyrite) zone.

      Mineralization

Wolframite, a tungsten mineral and cassiterite, a tin mineral, occur with a number of other minerals, including scheelite, molybdenite, galena, beryl, arsenopyrite, quartz and feldspar in sheeted quartz veins, stockworks and breccias within the alteration zone. The Company undertook a work program that included rock chip sampling of exposures along roads and trenches and re-sampling of some of the drill core. Highlights of the sampling, within an area 500 m long and 300 m wide, include:

(WO3 is tungsten trioxide, the common method in which
      tungsten grades are reported.)

In 2002, the Company completed a more detailed sampling program with the collection of 121 chip channel samples, mostly of one metre in length and 7 to 9 kg in weight. Large samples were collected in an effort to mitigate the issue of heterogeneous samples, including a possible nugget effect resulting from the presence of coarse crystals of the tungsten mineral wolframite in some of the sample intervals. All samples over 0.2% WO3 in the original geochemical analysis were assayed. The sampling program was conducted under the supervision of Aurum Geological Consultants Inc. and Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. carried out analytical work.

Geological observations suggest that these high-grade zones would have a steep and elongate orientation within a zone up to 100 m wide and approximately 400 m along strike.

In 2005, Copper Ridge completed five narrow diameter drill holes for a total of 397.4 m. Results are summarized in the table below:

The drilling confirms the continuity of mineralization beneath the mineralized trenches. However, the Company believes that because of the nugget effect caused by the large size of the wolframite crystals and the narrow diameter of the core sampled, these results do not give an accurate representation of the actual grades to be expected from the deposit.

      Proposed Program

Prospector is planning a major drill test at Kalzas in 2008. This will include a test of the known, near surface mineralization either with a large diameter core drill or perhaps a reverse circulation drill. Prospector is also considering a deep drill test to attempt to probe the upper contact of the buried intrusion below the mineralized zone."

Copper Ridge Update Seven Projects To Be Drilled In 2008

      Copper Ridge KRX-TSX.
      Press Release No. 26/2007

Vancouver, BC, December 19, 2007 - Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge" or the "Company") provides an update on its 2007 field season and an outlook on plans for 2008. In 2007, the Company completed two drill programs, conducted a number of surface exploration programs, identified new targets and optioned out six projects that will be actively explored by other companies in the coming months.

The Company successfully completed drill programs at its 100% owned Copper Ace and Lucky Joe projects. Drilling has just been completed at Scheelite Dome, which is under option to Riverside Resources Inc. and results are expected early in the New Year.

The anticipated exploration programs for the coming year are shown on the attached project location map. With up to seven projects due to be drilled, most funded by our project optionees, Copper Ridge will enjoy excellent exposure to multiple discovery opportunities for gold, copper and tungsten in 2008.

Lucky Joe, Yukon - Copper-Gold: The Company completed a 2,400 m drill program in 13 holes on the Ryan's Creek trend at Lucky Joe. This trend extends for over 4,500 m in strike length and is defined by a strong copper-gold anomaly in soils that is coincident with an IP chargeability anomaly and the northeastern edge of a linear magnetic anomaly.

The results define a +3,500 m mineralized trend. Copper and gold values are increasing to the south, as demonstrated by hole LJ07-19 (7.3 m @ .91% Cu and .5 g/t Au), the most southerly drill hole of the 2007 program, and hole LJ06-09 (3.05 m @ .76% Cu and .38 g/t Au; 2.4 m @ .17% Cu and 3.24 g/t Au), located
2,000 m further south. The trend is open both along strike and at depth, so excellent potential exists to discover thicker zones of increased copper and gold grades. Highlights from the drilling are shown in the following table:

Copper Ace, B.C. - Copper Porphyry: The Company completed a 3,239 m drill program in 13 holes on its Copper Ace South project, two km northwest of the producing Gibraltar Mine. The target at Copper Ace South is coincident IP chargeability geophysical anomalies and copper in soil geochemical anomalies that lie within favourable "Mine Series" rocks along strike from the trend of open pits currently in production at Gibraltar. All drill holes successfully intersected favourable "Mine Series" rocks that contained copper and molybdenum mineralization, but the metal values were generally low. The trend of the "Mine Series" rocks continues for several kilometers to the northwest: The opportunity for the discovery of an economic mineral deposit on the property remains.

Soil sampling surveys in 2007 defined anomalous geochemical targets on our adjacent Copper King and Sheridan properties. Preliminary results from an IP survey on the Sheridan anomaly, currently underway, show a high chargeability trend that correlates with the geochemical anomaly. With continued positive results, this will lead to a drill program in early 2008.

Scheelite Dome, Yukon - Gold: The drill program just completed at Scheelite Dome was operated by Copper Ridge and funded by Riverside Resources Inc. The property, covering approximately 10,300 hectares and located 35 km by road northwest of the town of Mayo, is recognized as one of the largest intrusion-related gold systems in the Yukon. The 700 m program targeted the Aorta trend that had previously reported long intervals of gold mineralization including 54.9 meters of 0.45 g/t (RC97-11), 43.4 meters of 0.56 g/t (SH98-10), 20.3 meters at 1.03 g/t (SH99-23), 8.9 meters of 1.81 g/t (SH99-24), and 15.8 meters of 1.88 g/t (SH98-12). The current program offset these holes to test for continuity of mineralization adjacent to a sericite-altered monzonite dike. The target is a shallow, low-grade, bulk-mineable, intrusion-related gold deposit similar to Dublin Gulch deposit in the Yukon (66.5 million tonnes of 0.92 g/t Au and the Fort Knox Mine in Alaska (160 million tonnes of 0.53 g/t Au). Assay results from the drilling program are expected to be announced in the next month.

The Company also completed a number of surface exploration programs in 2007:

At the Borealis Uranium Project, Yukon, an 1108 km airborne radiometric and magnetic survey defined a number of strong target areas. Follow-up mapping and sampling were carried out over just a few of these targets. Preliminary grab sample results, previously announced and ranging from 0.1 to 2.1% uranium, confirm the results from historical sampling, while soil and silt sampling results suggest there is excellent potential for new discoveries on the property.

The Company completed a surface mapping and sampling program at its 100% owned Joss'alun Copper Project, B.C., under option to Lomiko Resources Inc. Airborne and ground geophysical programs are also planned but will likely be postponed until next year due to scarcity of contractors and equipment. Lomiko has completed a 43-101 report on the property and plans to drill the property once it has completed its public listing requirements. Lomiko has also optioned the adjacent Imperial Metals ground and put the two properties together in what is now known as the Big Nak project.

The Willoughby Gold-Silver Project, B.C. is under option to Bonterra Resources Inc. A property examination has been completed and an airborne magnetic-electromagnetic survey was just flown over the property. This will be followed by the preparation of a 43-101 report. Once Bonterra becomes publicly listed, it intends to carry out a drill program on the property, scheduled for the summer of 2008.

The Babine Copper-Gold Porphyry Project, B.C., includes the Nak and Dorothy projects, plus a number of claims staked by Copper Ridge. On the Nak property, historical drilling has included 107 core holes for a total of 15,629 m. Highlights from the most recent drilling (mid 1990's) include 70.7 m grading 0.248% Cu and 1.166 g/t Au in hole 96-55, 12.5 m grading 2.614% Cu and 0.143 g/t Au in hole 96-58, 18.0 m grading 1.318% Cu and 0.203 g/t Au in hole 96-65 and 21.3 m grading 0.295% Cu and 1.059 g/t Au in hole 96-70. Crews have just completed establishing an 85 kilometer grid over an area of 40 square kilometers encompassing both the Nak and Dorothy projects. This will be followed by an IP geophysical survey which is currently underway. The results of the IP survey will be used to plan a major drill test in 2008.

Vale Inco (formerly CVRD Inco), currently earning an interest in the Company's Ironman Iron Oxide Copper-Gold ("IOCG") Project, Yukon, completed a geophysical survey over the main Ironman gravity anomaly that confirmed Copper Ridge's earlier results. Vale Inco was not able to find a drill contractor to test the anomaly this year, so the proposed 2007 drill program has therefore been postponed until 2008.

The Yukon Olympic IOCG Project, Yukon, is under option to Richmond Capital Corp. Richmond is in the process of completing a 43-101 report on the property that recommends a drill test of the Blackstone gravity-IPanomaly. This work is expected to be carried out early in the 2008 field season.

The Company's Kalzas Tungsten Project, Yukon, is under option to Prospector Consolidated Resources Inc. Prospector is preparing for a major drill test of the Kalzas property in 2008.

The Company is seeking a partner for its Ogopogo Gold Project, located just 4 km from the Teck Cominco-Sumitomo Pogo deposit in Alaska.

The Company continues to work towards the acquisition of the Quitovac Gold Deposit in Sonora State, Mexico. The final issues are nearly resolved whereby Copper Ridge will have the opportunity to earn a 100% interest in this heap leach gold property.

In addition to these existing projects, the Company is continuing to search for new acquisition opportunities. With the new strength of the Canadian dollar, foreign exploration has become more attractive. The Company's focus remains copper and gold exploration targets in Canada, the US, particularly Alaska, and Mexico. Season's greetings and best wishes for a healthy and successful 2008.
