Hallo Wasabibarako!

Danke für die Blumen, ich habs mal bei HC und auf Stockhouse eingestellt, damit jede/r damit spielen kann.

Das neue HC-Board ist aber auch nicht unbedingt MEIN Fall.

Früher war einfach alles besser ...

Zu unseren "Nachbarn" HRT lohnt sich auch ab und zu ein Blick ins Forum bei Stockhouse ...

Inbezug auf Dein geplantes "posting on HC": HC hat leider, leider das Format voellig gewechselt und ich glaube dass viele "loyal posters" dort nicht mehr aktiv sein werden. Ich weiss, dass ich nicht sehr gluecklich bin ueber das neue Format - und dies drueckt es noch "huebsch" aus!
Daher werde ich vermutlich nun ShareScene (wo ich auch member bin) bevorzugen. Habe auch gelesen, dass einige von HC moeglicherweise nach "Topstocks" abwandern koennten - das kenne ich aber noch nicht.

DOCH: Zurueck zu NAMIBIA: Toll dass HRT nun begonnen hat und hoffentlich sehr erfolgreich sein wird, was besonders PCL und auch ECO Atlantic zu Gute kommen wird. Daumen druecken ist angesagt?
In KENYA warten wir auch immer noch darauf, was FAR bei L6 unternimmt... Neuigkeiten in dieser Angelenheit sollten eigentlich bald einmal kommen!

Nach demn ganzen Ostergedöns habe ich den heutigen Tag mal unter anderem für ein paar grafische Spielereien genutzt.

Zunächst einmal aber der Hinweis auf ein paar Artikel für jene, die sich näher mit Seismik und Geologie Offshore Namibia beschäftig(t)en:

Wie gesagt, wer den ersten Artikel durchscrollt, wird die eine oder andere Grafik wiedererkennen, die sich auch immer wieder in Präsentationen von PCL, HRT, ECO, CHAR usw. finden.

Ich habe mir heute mal den "Spaß" gemacht, die einzelnen Grafiken in einem Grafikprogramm als verschiedene Ebenen übereinanderzulegen. Dazu noch die Grafiken von HRT mit den Oil Seeps sowie der Frog Basement Study.



Das ist im JPG-Format natürlich eine einzige Farbsoße und man erkennt fast nichts mehr.

Deshalb hier der Download der Grafik im Photoshop-Format:

Die Datei lässt sich in Photoshop, sowie bspw. in PaintShop Pro, oder dem Freewareprogramm Gimp (=> http://www.gimp.org) öffnen.

Das tolle daran ist, dass man in Grafikprogrammen den einzelnen Ebenen verschiedene Transparenzlevels zuweisen kann, sodass diese einzeln ausgeblendet und/ oder ausgewählt transparent übereinander gelegt werden können.

So kann man sich bspw. zeigen lassen, wo die Blöcke in den einzelnen Grafiken liegen sowie bspw. wo die Oil Seeps im Vergleich zu den Sedimenten und/ oder den Source Rocks liegen und welche Blöcke darüber liegen.

Beispiel: Oil Seeps + Maturity for Early Aptian Source Rock im Walvis Basin:



Besonders hervorgehoben sind die Blöcke von HRT im Walvis Basin, von PCL und ECO sowie CHAR und deren zwei Duster Tapir-South-1 und Kabeljou-1.

Natürlich ist das alles nicht 100% exakt, aber im Großen und Ganzen müsste es hinhauen, da ich mich beim Übereinanderlegen unter anderem an der Küstenlinie orientiert habe.

Wer noch Anregungen hat, immer her damit, bin gerade in "Bastellaune".

Interessant fand ich bisher unter anderem, dass die (vermutete) Verteilung der Source Rocks nicht unbedingt mit den Oil Seeps korrespondiert, was - so mein laienhafter Gedanke - unter anderem auf Falten in der Geologie hinweisen könnte.

Damit wissen wir nun einerseits, dass PCL Block L6 wieder in seiner ursprünglichen Grenzziehung hat. Wenn der Preis dafür eine schnell(er)e ersten Bohrung war, soll es mir recht sein. Mehr acreage in Kenya ist ganz nett für die farmout-Verhandlungen, nehme ich an .

Andererseits steht PCL jetzt "an allen Fronten" unter (hoffentlich friendly) fire: Offshore Kenya (Anadarko) läuft bereits seit Wochen, vor Namibia ging es nun auch los. Der überstrapazierte Begriff "Exiting times ahead" passt wohl besser denn je...



Zum Kenya-Drilling von Anadarko hier noch zwei Beiträge von Dknow/hotcopper:

Anadarko has just made a presentation webcast at the Raymond James 34th Annual Institutional Investors Conference.

I have transcribed the comments made regarding their Kenya offshore blocks currently being drilled.

"We moved another rig late last year from Mozambique up into Kenya. We top-set this Kiboko prospect to the South and moved up to Kubwa, where we will drill Kubwa, and then go back to Kiboko and finish the prospect."

"Kubwa, I learned this morning means 'big', so we hope that it's aptly named, and Kiboko means 'Hippo', and so we hope it is aptly named."

"We've got a lot of encouragement based on what we've seen in Kenya and we've got about 6 million acres here, gross, maybe 5 million net. It's about twice the size of our offshore acreage position in Mozambique so to the extent this works, we think it's another superb area."

2. von heute:
I thought I'd post this here on the PCL thread, as I had just posted it in the FAR thread as a reply to a question on an estimate of Anadarko's timing for completion of their offshore Kenya drills.....

I recall Anadarko mentioning in a conference call that both of their Kenya offshore drills had a 90 day estimate for each well, so 180 days total for the 2 wells.
I think it has now been around 70 days since they started (around mid January).

Also keep in mind that they said they would start at the Kiboko prospect and top-set that, then move up North to drill the Kubwa prospect, then go back to finish the Kiboko prospect.

I called HRT HQ in Brazil and asked about the 60 days and their estimations: The 60 days is all included, i.e. drilling, testing, logging, bad weather conditions etc.

Maybe - she said - they will need (a bit) less than 60 days and they will announce results after finishing the project, but I think and hope Marcio R. Mello won't bite his lips until the whole drill is finished, if they hit.

I asked about their estimation when they will hit TD, "sorry strategic information".

So I think we should observe HRT's share price very carefully as well as HRT's forum on www.stockhouse.com for example => http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboards/v.hrp?s=hrp&t….

By the way, there I found a posting where the user nomomoney24 gives an overview of serveral drills and the days till TD:

- Tapir drilled down to 4,900m. Time from spud to results rns = 39 days approx

- Kabeljou drilled down to 3350m. Time from spud to results rns = 44 days approx

- HRT define the drill ( not done on either CHAR drill, just total depth ) targeting a specific 3,950m to reservoirs with a total depth of 4,100m.

Kenya L6 - Additional Acreage SecuredThe Kenyan Government has confirmed a 60% expansion of Pancontinental Oil & Gas NL’s
(Pancontinental, ASX: PCL) L6 exploration permit off the coast of Kenya. The highly
prospective permit area, that had previously been relinquished, has been re-instated and
now encompasses an area of 5,010 km2 (previously 3,134 km2).
The respective interests in the Kenya L6 block are:
Pancontinental Oil & Gas 40%
FAR Limited (Operator) 60%
From recently acquired processed 3D seismic data and earlier 2D seismic data, both of
which partially cover this new acreage, the Operator has identified a number of play types
and prospects in the L6 permit. Significantly FAR has interpreted a new play type, the
Miocene carbonate reef play, which extends into the newly awarded acreage.
The Operator estimates that the new acreage has prospective resources of 773 million
barrels of oil or in a gas only success case, 2,141 billion cubic feet of gas (un-risked best
estimate, 100% basis). This brings the prospective resource estimate for the total L6 permit
to 3,962 million barrels oil or in a gas only success case, 10,689 billion cubic feet (unrisked),
best estimate, 100% basis).
