Ein recht interessanter Stock aus den USA. Das Unternehmen vertreibt Parfümreihen unter Promi-Lizenzen (u.a. Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Marc Ecko, Queen Latifah, etc.) In diesem Jahr soll dann noch eine Rihanna Parfümreihe auf den Markt kommen. Nach langen roten Quartalen und dem Verlust der GUESS? Lizenz, hat man im neuen GJ 2011 wieder den Sprung in die schwarzen Zahlen geschafft. Finanziell ist die Company sehr gut aufgestellt und die GrossMargin stimmt auch.

NTERVIEW-Parlux sees celeb launches making up for Guess loss

BANGALORE, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Parlux Fragrances Inc expects the launch of new celebrity fragrances to make up for the loss of its Guess line by next year and is also looking to acquire existing perfume brands, its chief executive said.
"When we lost Guess, we lost a pretty good lever in our international business -- (this) needs to be rebuilt," CEO Frederick Purches told Reuters in an interview.
He expects to do that by launching new fragrances built around pop princess Rihanna and designer brand Vince Camuto.
While 2011 revenue is expected to be dragged down to $125 million due to the expiry of the Guess Inc license in late 2009, Purches expects to make up and eventually surpass the lost sales with the launch of the Rihanna perfume in April 2011 and the Vince Camuto brand in August or September 2011.
International business can be "helped significantly in the following year by Rihanna," Purches said.
The CEO now sees Parlux revenues climbing to $150 million in 2012 and to $175-$180 million in 2013.
Meanwhile, he is betting on promotional and other cost cuts to reduce operating expenses by $20 million in 2011 at Parlux, which sells perfumes under labels like Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Queen Latifah.
Purches, a co-founder who has served on the company's board since its founding in 1984, was named CEO in January 2010, after former CEO Neil Katz stepped down citing "philosophical differences regarding the future direction of the company."
ACQUISITION PLANS
Another growth driver could be acquisitions, the CEO said, but added that Parlux would only be interested if a competitor is divesting a fragrance brand.
Parlux, which sells its perfumes at department stores like Macy's Inc and at specialty retail shops like Perfumania Holdings Inc , has had some acquisitions discussions, Purches said, but nothing that has panned out as yet.
The company has also no plans to get into cosmetics as have some of it competitors, Purches said.
He intends to fund any takeover with cash or borrowings, and not with company stock.
"We can't buy anything with our stock, because our stock is terribly devalued," Purches said.
Shares of the company have fallen 20 percent in the past 6 months and have lost 87 percent of their value from a high of $17.15 in August 2008.
"It is my objective to get the stock back up where it belongs, which is at least in the $8-$10 area, that means we have to make a profit, we haven't made a (full-year) profit in two years and I think the stock price is reflective of that," Purches said.

im 3.Quartal gab es zwar wieder einen kleinen Verlust ... ist aber nicht weiter tragisch. Man bleibt bei den Umsatz Forecast für das GJ 2012 und will die Profits wieder steigern. Zudem lassen die 20Mio. Cash Spekulationen für weitere Lizenzdeals offen
