I was at the AGM. I spoke with David Vinokurov, VP Corporate Development before and after the AGM. I also spoke briefly with Rodney Irwin, president & CEO after the AGM. My attendance at the AGM served to reinforce my confidence, that Stans Energy’s BoD and line management are executing a sound game plan. A plan designed “to win the day”. A plan designed to establish Stans Energy, as a Heavy Rare Earth mining and refining operating company within both Kyrgyzstan and Russia. As was stressed both by David Vinokurov and Rodney Irwin; Stans Energy has developed over time (measured in years) a number of contacts and good relationships within Russia. It is well known to this Stockhouse bullboard:- Stans E, as per “Plan A” has been working to develop Heavy Rare Earth operations in Russia, and with significant reported progress. My read, this is nice contingency planning, in the unlikely event, that “our” Stans E’s Kyrgyzstan investment goes down the tube. Icrisatatim - one of our bullboard members was present at the AGM and he did a commendable job of asking a number of pertinent questions during the Q&A sessions. He has already expediently posted on this bullboard his questions with answers. Icrisatatime -it was a pleasure to have met you. As JJ40 raised in a recent bull post, I asked David Vinokurov during the Q&A session- What other Kyrgyzstan assets could Stans E seize outside of Centerra? David basically replied, that he could not answer my question, because to do so would let the opposition detrimentally know Stans E’s strategy and tactics. He did elaborate by stating, as I believe we all know, Stans E cannot seize assets such as Embassies or Military equipment etc-but all else is open to seizure. David Vinokurov in his presentation stated, that Stans E’s main focus is to reduce operating cost and Stans E has made excellent progress over the past several months to reduce operating costs. Monthly expenses have been reduced from $171,000 to $132,000 per month and I got the impression further reductions will be made. There have been 62 layoffs in Kyrgyzstan. The Kashka REE Plant has been mothballed and it is staffed only by Security Personnel. Stans E presently has $1.7 million cash remaining. And I got the impression Stans E would not likely encounter any real difficulty in raising funds in the event it takes longer to COLLECT part or the total Arbitration award. After the meeting during in some private conversations I made it known I and many of our Stockhouse Bullboard members were most annoyed and indeed very concerned by Gordon Baker’s insider selling. As 1crisatatime has already posted. Gordon Baker wasn’t present at the AGM. He’s been re-elected to the BoD , because the board had sufficient proxy votes to carry the day. I could not find out why he had been selling and nobody would elaborate. As 1crisatatime aptly wrote- I am likewise “quite excited about our Russian entity and the prospects that should unfold with Rosnano et all! “ I’m holding firm-“ Back in the “shoe Box for now” We may see an announcement sometime in November thru year end. I was at the AGM and there were about 15-20 shareholders as well as Rodney, Peter (legal) Elena, Boris and David of course The quorum represented 41 million shares or roughly 31% of the company. The board of directors was re-elected, and I was unable to question this as the board had enough proxy votes to motion,vote and second the election. My only question re board was why was Baker selling out? As he wasn't present, I couldn't get any answers, and the others were not willing to elaborate.
The company confirmed that we still own the licences for Kutessay and Kalesay. The recent 'Opinion' of the CIS court is entirely irrelevant and has no bearing on the already granted arbitration award, which is binding!
We are making every effort to collect the arbitration, and when asked forparticulars, Davis advised me that theymust keep their cards close to the vest. If information was leaked about the next legal steps/moves we are taking, that would obviously be advantageous to the Kyrgyz's as well!
I have a lot of insight gained from this meeting. I will only state right now that I am very pleased to have these people in my corner. It was a real pleasure meeting and speaking to David as well as a couple other shareholders, including our very own Yeribe! Very nice to have met you!
I feel much better having met each of the players, and now understand a little more of the process. It is lengthy, and some people are obviously working against us, but we have a great team, a great plan going forward, and most importantly $180,000,000.00 US to use as the 'Big Stick', as Rodney puts it so well.
I am also quite excited about our Russian entity and the prospects that should unfold with Rosnano et al!
