Geely ist immernoch nicht sehr verbreitet in Deutschland, aber das kann sich schnell ändern. Hat es den Fahrzeugen von Geely im europäischen Vergleich an Sicherheit gefehlt, ist das mit dem Erwerb von Volvo 2010 sicherlich anders geworden - die schwedischen Ingenieure wirken jetzt mit ihrem Know-How bei der Entwicklung der neuen Fahrzeuge mit. Außerdem kann für viele Kunden auf den neuen Märkten Geely mit seinem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis durchaus anlockend sein, denn die Chinesen bieten (teilweise unter den Markennamen Englon und Gleagle) ordentlich aussehende Autos mit attraktiven Komfortausstattungsmerkmalen wie Klimaanlage, Navigationssystem usw. - zu äußerst günstigen Preisen.

Auf der kommenden Ghuanzhou Automesse in China Mitte November präsentiert Geely seine neue Modelle auf Basis der neuen Plattform, die zusammen mit Volvo entwickelt wurde. Auf jeden Fall werden der Geely Emgrand als Kombi und der Geely Emgrand S7 als SUV auf der Messe zu sehen sein. Ausgestattet werden die Fahrzeuge mit 4-Zylinder Benzin-Turbo-Motoren mit einer Leistungsstärke von 133 PS (bei 1,3-Liter Hubraum) und 150 PS (bei 1,5 Liter) sein. Für das nächste Jahr planen die Chinesen außerdem eine Hybridversion des SUV Geely Emgrand S7.

Volvo profitiert außerdem auch von der Zusammenarbeit - die neuen Technologien werden für die Entwicklung des Volvo V40 und des Volvo V40 Cross Country eingesetzt werden. Bereits bis Ende dieses Jahres soll der Verkaufsstart des Geely Emgrand S7 auf dem chinesischen Markt stattfinden, aber klar ist auf jeden Fall, dass Geely Richtung Westeuropa schaut - bei den niedrigen Preisen, gepaart mit (sehr) guter Ausstattung, könnten die Chinesen durchaus erfolgreich sein."

Kandi to Cooperate With Alibaba, Uber on Electric Car Eco-System

Kandi Technologies Group Inc. plans to work with companies including Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., Uber China and China Minsheng Banking Corp. to promote connected electric cars.
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. and ZTE Corp. are the other companies that signed a manifesto in Hangzhou, China, on Tuesday. The companies will form a group of strategic partners to work together on areas conducive to promoting connected electric cars. Alibaba will support the initiative with its Big Data analytics and cloud computing services, ZTE will provide its wireless charging technology while Uber will contribute with its car-sharing know-how.
“Traffic jams, air pollution are pushing gasoline-powered cars into a dead end,” Kandi President Hu Xiaoming said in an interview. “The development of data technologies is providing us with an enormous opportunity to make electric cars much easier to use.”
The initiative takes place after the central government in July unveiled a plan to link technology companies with manufacturers under an “Internet Plus” plan to rejuvenate traditional industries through the use of services such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Promoting the use of electric cars and reducing air pollution are also national priorities, with China pouring billions into subsidies and research grants into battery development and the building of charging stations.
Last month, the State Council, or cabinet, said it will add to subsidies aimed at speeding up the building of electric-car recharging stations, targeting enough infrastructure to handle 5 million plug-in vehicles by 2020.
Besides manufacturing and selling EVs to consumers, Kandi also provides them for short-term hire using automated multilevel garages. It has expanded its services to more than 10 Chinese cities with over 16,000 electric cars, according to the company.
Kandi, which makes cars with joint venture partner Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd., announced on Tuesday it will add 200 Gleagle K17 electric cars into its rental network. BYD Co., the biggest electric carmaker in China that’s not involved in Tuesday’s agreement, fell 8.3 percent in Hong Kong trading.

The Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, SEAT Leon and Skoda Fabia are all the same car underneath apart from a few bits and pieces and having their engines tuned differently. Same goes for the Audi A3, A4, A6 and A8 – they all share a lot of parts. That’s where we see Geely taking its business. This combination of scale and technological prowess makes me think they’re quite promising."

Das müsste wohl die Fabrik sein, in der die Next-Generation-Autos gebaut werden...

die Lackierung ist aber keine Standardlackierung ... gehe davon aus, dass für den Crashtestversuch die entspr. Zonen des Fahrzeug farblich hervorgehoben werden.
