Adelong Capital Ltd is the new name for Adelong Consolidated Gold Mines N.L, an ASX listed company which is emerging as a successful international Venture Capital fund , focussing on venture capital investments in new telecommunications, technology and internet companies around the world.

Adelong has developed some very strong links worldwide, most particularly in the US, Europe , Asia and Australia which will assist the company to achieve it`s goal of creating wealth for it`s shareholders through successfully targeting commercially focussed companies to not only invest in but to offer assistance to help those companies to reach the IPO stage on the most appropriate stock exchanges, be it NASDAQ, ASX or a European or Asian exchange. Adelong itself is listed on both the ASX and the Berlin Stock Exchange.

Anderung des Fokusses der Aktivitaten

Adelong Capital teilt mit, da? wegen bedeutenden Veranderungen der Geschaftsbedingungen wahrend der vergangenen paar Monate und gema? der, wahrend der Allgemeinen-Jahresversammlung gegebenen Vollmachten der Aktionare, die Firma die Richtung und Aktivitaten andert, und zwar wechselt sie den Fokus von Bergbau (Mining) auf strategische internationale Investitionen in Firmen, die im Internetsektor tatig sind. Daher wird Adelong Capital ihre Suspendierung, gema? ASX Notierungsregel 11.1, beibehalten, und wird dazu ubergehen die Bedingungen von Kapitel 1 und 2 zu befolgen, um eine neue Notierung als eine internationale Venture-Capital-Investmentgruppe zu ersuchen.

Zur Zeit hat Adelong Capital in zwei Internet-Investmentgesellschaften investiert und wird weiterhin andere Investitionsmoglichkeiten im Telekommunikationsbereich, Internetbereich und im elektronischen Mediensektor suchen. Die Firma hat zur Zeit uber A$ 10 Millionen zur Verfugung und ist in einer guten Position Gelegenheiten fur weitere Investitionen, je nach Moglichkeit, wahrzunehmen.

Außerdem wird erwartet, da? die Goldanlagen der Gesellschaft an die Tochtergesellschaft, Challenger Gold NL, die uns ganz gehort, verkauft werden, und in die Tochtergesellschaft transferiert werden. Au?erdem erwagt der Vorstand Challenger Gold NL als eine getrennte Einheit auf dem Aktienmarkt zu notieren.

Venture Capital Investments by Adelong Capital Ltd so far.

Adelong currently have two internet company investments as outlined below:

eSmart Ltd
( 50% Adelong) eSmart Ltd operate a National ISP network covering every Australian Capital city as well as major regional areas and is developing the "eSmart Remote Back-Up" software business which allows regular, automatic and secure data back-up and off-site storage of data. The marketing of eSmart`s products and services has recently picked up speed with the appointment of one of Australia`s leading marketing firms to implement this strategy.

eSmart are also due to launch it`s online computer store next year, offering computer hardware, software and games over the internet. eSmart Ltd plan to list on the ASX in 2000, with Adelong shareholders receiving an entitlement to 30% of all shares offered in the public issue.

FreeISP.com Pty Ltd
( 20% Adelong) FreeISP.com Pty Ltd have completed the installation of the infrastructure necessary to provide free internet access to the Sydney market. Using a strategy to target high net worth clients , it is envisaged that the data collated from this user base will bring a premium from advertisers and retailers. FreeISP aim to roll out this service throughout Australia within the next six months after trialling it in Sydney, Australia`s largest market.

The company recently appointed a new CEO , Tamara Kiniry, who was previously the National marketing and communications manager for Gateway Computers. The appointment of such an experienced CEO , with numerous contacts in the IT and Internet industry, enables FreeISP to establish major alliances, build content partnerships, and negotiate with a number of consumer organisations, as well as to lead the company forward in this ever changing, dynamic new world of the internet. FreeISP are planning to list on the ASX in 2000, with 20% of all shares offered in the public issue to be available to Adelong shareholders on an entitlement basis.

Adelong Gold Project
( 100% Adelong) Adelong`s 100% owned gold project in NSW is currently on care and maintenance , awaiting a positive move in the gold price price. The project has a plant on site, and has an indicated and inferred gold resource of approx 150,000 ounces. Plans are underway to separate these gold assets from Adelong Capital Ltd , with Adelong shareholders to benefit from the future value created from these assets.
