IMO wird jedes Medikament genommen, was wirkt.
Man nimmt, was man bekommen kann.
https://www.healthcarefinancenews.com/news/average-cost-hosp…
n July, the report showed nationally the median charge amount for COVID-19 inpatient care – for people without insurance or who went out of network – was $45,683 for people aged 51 to 60 and $34,662 for those in the 23 to 30 age bracket.
https://bmchealthservres.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/…
Daily non-ventilated costs were €999 (95%CI €924 - €1074), and ventilated costs were €1590 (95%CI €1524 - €1657)

LL is a humanized monoclonal antibody and Maraviroc is a small molecule inhibitor. LL is a Sub-Q injection and Maraviroc is a pill. They both block RANTES, temper immune cell migration, and they both repolarize macrophages decreasing IL-6."
Yes this was discussed in HIV where you need to take the drug everyday! 1-2 weeks of therapy in COVID is a different story.

Replying to @brucep13
Dr Patterson , how about things like side effects to patients , is there a difference between Maraviroc and Leronlimab .
Thank you...
Und das was deine Aussage widerlegt:

Exactly! Because I can’t get leronlimab We need to do R&D with other CCR5 inhibitors to show the MOA of CCR5 blockade in Cytokine conditions. #InCellDX #CCR5 #RANTES

Thank you for that article. I agree. But leronlimab finally needs to be approved for SOMETHING so that it can be used off-label for long-haulers and actually help patients. Fingers crossed for great CD-12 interim results...

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 66.412.556 von Paradisvogel am 13.01.21 08:24:42The only way I can explain it is, it was like it felt like I had 1,000 cups of coffee,” said Recknor. “And then after the medicine, it was like a relaxing time on the beach. A couple days after the medicine, I was back to doing everything normal. I knew there were other people like me having crazy symptoms.
— Dr. Chris Recknor, a Gainesville internist who received leronlimab during his COVID-19 infection. Quote via @AJC

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04435522?term=maravir…

"with over 25 years experience sometimes you just know when something is working"
"some of those patiense were on life support, and were given leronlimab, came of ecmo, and were extubated and are now either home or in rehab hospitals trying to get their strength back.
the comments that we get about this is being annectoted evidence and you have to do placebo blinded studies which we are doing. We are going through the proper channels to take a look at that. You know my reponse being a phatologist and a virologist for over 25 years is you know anectodes dont come of life support and i think ehm you know, we know what we have to do to prove, to convince the community out large. We are doing it."

Und dass er kein Niemand ist:
Dr. Patterson received his undergraduate training in molecular biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then went on to Northwestern University Medical School for training in medicine. During the early stages of the AIDS epidemic, Dr. Patterson began investigating cellular reservoirs of HIV-1 using molecular and in situ technology patented in his laboratory. Dr. Patterson went on to a residency in Pathology focusing on viral pathogenesis. While in his residency, Dr. Patterson determined that enough HIV virus was present in infected individuals to account for the massive destruction of the immune system. This paradigm altering work was published in Science in 1993. Dr. Patterson later was named Chief Resident of Pathology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Patterson has authored over 100 manuscripts and book chapters and he continues his work on HIV-1 pathogenesis and reservoirs at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Patterson was the Medical Director of Diagnostic Virology at Stanford University Hospitals and Clinics.

1) All-cause mortality at Day 14 [ Time Frame: Day 14 ]
Day 0 refers to the data of randomization/first treatment.
2) Change in clinical status of subject at Day 14 (on a 7 point ordinal scale) [ Time Frame: Day 14 ]
A 7-category ordinal scale of patient health status ranges from: 1) Death; 2) Hospitalized, on invasive mechanical ventilation or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); 3) Hospitalized, on non-invasive ventilation or high flow oxygen devices; 4) Hospitalized, requiring supplemental oxygen; 5) Hospitalized, not requiring supplemental oxygen; 6) Not hospitalized, limitation on activities; 7) Not hospitalized, no limitations on activities.
3) Change in clinical status of subject at Day 28 (on a 7 point ordinal scale) [ Time Frame: Day 28 ]
A 7-category ordinal scale of patient health status ranges from: 1) Death; 2) Hospitalized, on invasive mechanical ventilation or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); 3) Hospitalized, on non-invasive ventilation or high flow oxygen devices; 4) Hospitalized, requiring supplemental oxygen; 5) Hospitalized, not requiring supplemental oxygen; 6) Not hospitalized, limitation on activities; 7) Not hospitalized, no limitations on activities.
4) Change from baseline in Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score at Day 14. [ Time Frame: Day 14 ]
The SOFA score assessment will be based on PaO2/FiO2, platelets, Glasgow coma scale (GCS), bilirubin, Mean arterial pressure OR administration of vasoactive agents required, and Serum creatinine
IMO könnte trotzdem eine EUA erfolgen.
Patterson meinte beim TEDx Auftritt folgendes:
"It shut off the viral replication and by 14 days the viral burden was 0"
"It restored the immunosuppression
"A: quiet the so called cytokine storm to prevent all of the lung damage and organ damage
B: restore the immune response because these patiens are immunosuppressed and could die of bacterial infections or other viral infections
and C: stop the virus.
[...]
This drug Leronlimab did all three of those."
eIND Genehmigung am 22. Dez
