Binding 75% Earn-in and Option Agreement over Hexagon’s Ceylon Graphite Project in Alabama, USA signed with South Star Battery Metals Corp.
Hexagon Energy Materials Limited (ASX: HXG, “Hexagon” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that, further to the Company’s 4 November and 2 December 2021 ASX announcements, a binding Earn-in and Option Agreement (“the Agreement”) covering the 75% earn-in by South Star Battery Metals Corp. (“South Star”) to Hexagon’s Ceylon Graphite Project located in Alabama, USA (“Project”) has been signed.
South Star will now progress work against the Earn-in milestones to acquire an interest of up to 75% of the Ceylon Graphite Project.
Hexagon currently owns 80% of the Ceylon Graphite Project, with the balance held by private owners including U.S. Critical Minerals LLC (“USCM”), as shareholders in the Project owner, Charge Minerals LLC (“Charge Minerals”).
The core elements of the Earn-in and Option Agreement which runs over three years are:-

Further Airborne EM High Priority Anomalies at Halls Creek
7 December 2021 Final interpretation of the 2021 Airborne EM (VTEM) data has identified eight high priority anomalies and a further 17 lower priority anomalies at the Halls Creek project.Key Highlights:
• A comprehensive interpretation of the final data sets from the 2021 VTEM™ Max survey has highlighted seven high, fifteen moderate and two lower priority anomalies at Hexagon’s Halls Creek Project. Hexagon’s ASX Announcement of 22 July 2021 originally highlighted five High Priority Targets at Halls Creek through this survey.
• This airborne electromagnetic (AEM) VTEM™ Max survey at the Halls Creek Project was designed to target potential Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) style mineralisation within The Kongie Park formation within the Halls Creek project area.
• Exploration drilling co-funding for use in the upcoming Halls Creek Project drilling program has been secured through Round 24 of the Western Australian Government Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS).
• Discussions are underway with select parties interested in working with Hexagon to progress gold and base metals exploration at Halls Creek.

Mr Rowan Caren has resigned as Company Secretary. Mr Caren joined the Company in 2017 and the Board thank him for his service and efforts over the past four years.
