CondatAG erhält Großauftrag von namhaftem Mobilfunkhersteller

Die Condat AG, Berlin, hat mit einem namhaften Hersteller von
Mobilfunkgeräten einen Lizenzvertrag im Bereich von Protokollsoftware
für Mobilfunkgeräte geschlossen. Im Rahmen dieses Vertrages liefert die
Condat AG so genannte Protokollstacks für den GSM- und den GPRS-
Standard. Protokollstacks regeln die Kommunikation zwischen mobilen
Endgeräten und der Netzinfrastruktur und sind somit ein unerlässlicher
Bestandteil jedes Mobilfunkgerätes.

Die beiden Partner vereinbarten darüber hinaus eine
Entwicklungskooperation, die auf die Integration des Condat-
Protokollstacks in die zukünftigen Produktlinien dieses international
tätigen Handyherstellers für die Mobilfunkstandards GSM, GPRS und UMTS
zielt. Aus Lizenz- und Entwicklungsvertrag erwartet Condat Erlöse von
über 5 Mio. EUR.

Der Lizenzvertrag und die Entwicklungspartnerschaft mit diesem
Mobilfunkhersteller, der der so genannten Tier 2-Gruppe zugerechnet
wird, stellen einen weiteren Schritt in der Strategie des Berliner
Technologieunternehmens dar, den Condat-Protokollstack bei führenden
Mobilfunkherstellern zu etablieren.

Die seit 17.07.2000 am Neuen Markt notierte CondatAG entwickelt und
vertreibt Softwareprodukte und -lösungen für die mobile Kommunikation.
Das Unternehmen ist einer von weltweit zwei konzernunabhängigen
Anbietern von Protokollsoftware für mobile Endgeräte.

Condat AG wins major order from leading mobile phone manufacturer

The Company CondatAG, Berlin, Germany, has signed a licence agreement
with a leading manufacturer of mobile handsets. This concerns the field
of protocol Software for mobile phones. Within the framework of this
agreement, Condat AG is to supply so-called protocol Stacks for the GSM
and GPRS Standards. Protocol Stacks control communications between
mobile end units and the network infrastructure, and are consequently
an essential component of every mobile phone.

The two partners furthermore agreed to enter into a development co-
operation. This is aimed at integrating the Condat protocol Stack in
the future product lines of the worldwide operating mobile phone
manufacturer for the mobile phone standards GSM, GPRS and UMTS. Condat
is expecting the licence agreement and development partnership to
generate revenues in excess of EUR 5 million.

The licence agreement and the development partnership with this mobile
phone manufacturer, which is considered to belong to the so-called tier
2 group, represent important steps in the strategy of the Berlin-based
technology Company. This aims to establish the Condat protocol Stack
among leading mobile phone manufacturers.

Condat AG, which has been listed on Germany`s Neuer Markt since 17
February 2000, develops and markets Software products and solutions for
mobile communications. The Company is one of only two independent
providers of protocol Software for mobile devices in the world.
