E.piphany Announces Record Third Quarter Revenues of $39.1 Million
Revenues Increase 60% Sequentially and 632% Over Prior Year Quarter Customer Wins Include BellSouth, Boise Cascade, DaimlerChrysler, Emerson Electric, Staples, and Thomas Cook
SAN MATEO, Calif., Oct 19, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- E.piphany, Inc. (Nasdaq: EPNY chart, msgs) today announced record revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2000.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2000, the company reported revenues of $39.1 million, representing an increase of 60% over the second quarter of 2000 and an increase of 632% over revenues of $5.3 million in the third quarter of 1999. License revenues were $21.4 million and service revenues were $17.8 million, or 55% and 45% of total revenues, respectively. Excluding the amortization of goodwill and stock-based compensation, net loss for the quarter was $7.0 million, or $(0.17) per share, compared to a net loss of $6.0 million, or $(0.34) per pro forma share during the third quarter of 1999. Including the amortization of goodwill and stock-based compensation, net loss for the third quarter of 2000 was $277.3 million, or $(6.52) per share.

We also enjoyed our most successful quarter ever in terms of cross-selling new seats and modules of our E.5 suite of products to our existing customers including American Express, Applied Materials, Hilton Hotels, Lucent Technologies, Sears and Verizon. In addition to our customer activity in the quarter, we rolled out our E.5 integrated suite of solutions ahead of schedule, put in place our core international infrastructure and management team, and secured significant new partner relationships with Sun Microsystems, Deloitte Consulting and Commerce One.`
