nachdem dieser wert in den letzten wochen so richtig in den boden gerammt wurde, scheint es so als ob die wende vollbracht ist. charttechnisch gesehen ist die wiederstandslinie nach oben durchbrochen. sollte die positive marktstimmung anhalten und die zahlen am 23. gut ausfallen, rechne ich weiterhin mit steigenden kursen.

möchte den wert einfach mal wieder in die diskussion bringen und bitte um meinungen.

Ich nehme mal an das dieser Thread in einem anderem Forum gepostet werden sollte, leider seid ihr im 50´er Forum gelandet, hier
wird diesem Thread whrscheinlich nicht die Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt, die der Threadinitiator sich gewünscht hat.

Ich stelle mal kurz das Forum 50´er:

Im 50´forum herrscht normalerweise ein freundlicher und lockerer Umgangston, wir versuchen ohne Pusherei, im allgemeinen und
speziellen uns über Geldanlagen zu unterhalten.

Im allgemeinen verzichten wir hier auf die Nennung von Aktiennamen im Threadtitel, und gehen die Märkte ein wenig breiter an,
über
einzelne Werte reden wir in Branchen oder Strategiethreads aber eigentlich nie in Einzelthreads.

Neben den Threads, die sich nur mit Geldanlage beschäftigen, gibt es hier noch den einen oder anderen der andere Themen
anschneidet. Zum Beispiel Bücher, Kochen oder Wein....

Kurz im 50´er Forum trifft sich eine Gemeinschaft von lehrenden und lernenden zum Thema Geldanlage und Leben im allgemeinen.

Falls ihr daran Interesse habt kommt doch einfach mal vorbei und lest euch ein, dann könnt ihr auch gerne ein wenig locker und
nett mitposten

Wenn ihr wollt das diesem Thread doch die Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt wird, die er Eurer Meinung nach verdient, bittet doch WO ihn in das entsprechende Forum zu verschieben.

danke für den tipp und die aufklärung. habe mich schon gewundert über die geringe resonanz !
unter dem suchnamen geoworks wurde mir dann allerdings dieses thread angeboten, wo ich auch schon einiges über diesen gwrx gefunden habe. war da mal der meinung ist "o.k."

auf`s wo bord bin ich durch cybernet gestossen (übrigens auch in diesem theard vertreten)

ich glaube das mein beitrag nicht so wichtig ist, dass es lohnen würde ihn umzulegen.

Es wird sowieso nicht klappen, diesen Thread zu verschieben...
Aber Du kannst nächstes mal z.B. im Board Neuer Markt "ein neues Thema beginnen", wobei Du wieder eine spezielle Aktie eingibst. Dort wird Dir sicher mehr Resonanz gewiß sein...
Ich sehe aber, daß Du keine Ahnung hattest, d.h. es nur ein Ausversehen (dieses hier leider unpassende Posting) war und sehe das gelassen

Denn wenn Du im 50er Club postest, können nur "fette" User Beoiträge schreiben, nicht aber die "dünnen"! So bekommst Du automatisch weniger Resonanz! Im z.B. Neuer-Markt-Forum kann das nicht passieren...

danke für die antwort.
andererseits bin ich auch ganz froh mich geirrt zu haben. ich habe den eindruck hier mal normale leute zu treffen. ab und zu treibe ich mich mal im Thread von cybernet rum und da brauchst du nur falsch hüsteln um mit allem möglichen eingedeckt zu werden. da haben einige viel geld verloren und das schlägt sich dann entsprechend in der stimmung nieder.

sieht nicht schlecht aus für geoworks. hängt heute viel von den zahlen ab. ich habe aber ein gutes gefühl.

Geoworks Reports Strong Revenue Growth

Geoworks Reports FY2001 Third Quarter Results Showing 37% Revenue Increase
Compared to Prior Year

ALAMEDA, Calif., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Geoworks Corporation (Nasdaq: GWRX), a leading innovator in mobile data communications services and technologies, today reported results for the third quarter and first nine months of fiscal 2001, showing revenue increases of 37% and 53%, respectively, over the same periods last year.

"For the eighth consecutive quarter, we have demonstrated year-over-year revenue increases as we accelerate into our new wireless services business model," said Dave Grannan, Chief Executive Officer of Geoworks. "Our third quarter revenue growth came in greater than last quarter`s guidance. With this higher revenue base, we expect to see approximately 10% to 15% sequential growth in quarterly revenues in the fourth quarter. For the coming 2002 fiscal year, we are forecasting annual revenue growth of 60-70%.

"Our revenue growth in the quarter as compared to the prior year is the result of a 135% increase in software and related services revenue," he said. "This growth was primarily recognized from contracts to customize our AirBoss software for Cingular Interactive, formerly Bell South Wireless Data, and Telcordia/Telkom South Africa."

Grannan added that Cingular Interactive will deploy wireless services based on the AirBoss(TM) Wireless Web proxy server and the AirBoss Microbrowser, both supplied by Geoworks. This solution will bring the Web directly to handheld wireless devices enabled for the Cingular Intelligent Wireless Network.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2000, the company reported revenues of $4,288,000, a 37% increase over revenues of $3,129,000 in the same period a year ago. The company reported a net loss of $7,171,000, or $.32 per share, as compared to net income of $931,000, or $0.05 per share, in the same quarter a year ago. Included in the loss for the third quarter of 2001 was non-cash amortization of intangibles totaling $2.0 million, or $0.09 per share, resulting from Geoworks` acquisition of AirBoss(TM) Wireless Systems Division from Telcordia in July 2000. Included in the gain for the quarter ended

December 31, 1999, was $2.3 million of other income resulting from the sale of investments. Excluding the non-cash charge and the investment income, the net losses for the quarters ending December 31, 2000 and 1999 would have been $5,143,000 or $.23 per share, and $1,378,000 or $.08 per share, respectively.

For the first nine months of fiscal 2001, Geoworks reported revenues of $11,796,000, a 53% increase over revenues of $7,702,000 in the first nine months of fiscal 2000. The company reported a loss of $14,884,000 or $0.72 per share, versus a loss of $1,907,000, or $0.11 per share, in the same period a year ago. The loss for the nine months ended December 31, 2000 includes non-cash charges of $ 4.8 million for the amortization of intangibles and the write off of purchased in process research and development resulting from the AirBoss acquisition. Included in the loss for the nine months ended December 31, 1999, was $2.3 million of other income resulting from the sale of investments. Excluding the non-cash charges and the investment income, the net losses for the nine months ending December 31, 2000 and 1999 would have been $10,125,000 or $.49 per share, and $4,216,000 or $.24 per share, respectively.

"Operating expenses were slightly higher than anticipated during this quarter as a result of legal expenses," added Tim Toppin, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "As the patent litigation is now behind us, our current forecast is that operating expenses will only increase 5-10% sequentially in the next few quarters."

"At the end of the quarter we partnered with Openwave to resolve our patent issues and form a strategic relationship," Grannan stated. "Our agreement to cross license the Flexible User Interface(TM) patent for Openwave`s patent enabled the companies to turn an adversarial relationship into one where we will become business development partners for each other.

"This agreement was a significant achievement for the companies because it helps validate that the WAP Forum`s licensing program works. It also shows that by working together, all WAP Forum members can further deploy WAP technology," Grannan said.

"There were additional operational highlights in the quarter," he continued. "During the quarter, Geoworks also announced a new location-based mobile service trial with U.S. Wireless Corporation where the two companies will combine their mobile technology expertise to offer location-specific mobile information services. The new service will include content and commerce services relevant to the mobile user`s needs and proximity, such as promotional offers from near-by retailers and local traffic updates.

"We also announced that Geoworks will provide mobile server solutions to Hewlett-Packard`s mobile e-services customers through the HP Mobile e-Services Bazaar," Grannan continued. "As an e-services bazaar solution partner, Geoworks will provide HP mobile e-service customers access to products, services and support for their enterprise and Internet wireless application service needs. Geoworks plans to make our Mobile Server+(TM) solutions available on HP enterprise servers."

schlecht sind die zahlen nicht, nur der markt reagiert nicht darauf. die bewegung vom tief bei 1,20 bis auf 5 ist ja nicht schlecht. nur wer ist schon bei 1,20 eingestiegen ?

also abwarten bis die zahlen verdaut sind, vielleicht geht dann noch was.
