"Trintech Corporation reported disappointing 4Q01 results yesterday, with revenues and operating EPS of $15.5 million and $(0.12), respectively," said Jeffrey. "We were estimating $15.9 million and $(0.08), respectively. Importantly, license revenues fell short equaling $6.2 million, below our estimates of $7.7 million. In light of the most recent results and a reduced outlook for domestic technology spending from banks, we are decreasing our fiscal 2002 revenue estimate to $75.7 million from $84.7 million, respectively. We continue to believe Trintech`s ePayment technology, which supports front-end payment vehicles like virtual credit cards, and scalable back-end processing and settlement functions, is well differentiated and significantly better than its competitors`. It is our opinion that Trintech, unlike some other ePayment companies that have recently reported disappointing results, is not at risk to losing material market share or customer momentum as a result of its struggles. This, along with the company`s strong cash position, gives us heightened confidence in recommending the shares today to long-term growth investors."

Hi Leute,


Ich habe mal die Bilanz durchgeackert und es ist mir aufgefallen, daß Trintech kaum cash hat, aber ´ne Menge Wertpapiere ! Auch sehr auffällig ist , daß sie in 2000 für mehr als eine Mrd. $ Wertpapiere gekauft und wieder verkauft haben...
Im Moment hat Trintech etwas mehr als 10 Mio. cash, aber Wertpapiere im Wert von über 80 Mio. Achtet mal in den nachfolgenden Daten auf "marketable securities" :

@NOQRI : ich weiß daß meine Darstellung der zahlen aus Yahoo etwas unübersichtlich ist, aber deswegen konnte ich sie trotzdem richtig lesen !!!
Anscheinend interessieren im Moment wirklich niemanden die Fundamentals (siehe Met@box) - so lange es rauf geht kann mir das recht sein...

ich find die zahlen nicht so übel ,im letzten quartal viel investitionen.
der gewinn aus den aktien ist auch da -du legst deinen cash doch auch nicht aufs sparbuch.
wenn die aussenstände und einnahmen aus dem laufenden quartal kommen läuft doch alles.
natürlich ist dies eine spekulative investition.
ich war auf nen zock aus , doch die bilanz hat mir gefallen und der kundenstamm.
