      Gruß an alle...

      Leverkusen, den 06.05.2001,

      @Cool-Runner,

      @All

Kasým krizinde zor duruma düþen Demirbank’ýn Fon’a devri, TMSF bankalarýnýn menkul deðerler cüzdanýný dörde katlarken özel sektör mevduatýný azalttý

      EKONOMÝ SERVÝSÝ

Bankacýlýk sisteminde kasým ayýnda yaþanan kriz sistemdeki mevduatýn kamu bankalarýna kaymasýna neden olurken Demirbank’ýn Tasarruf Mevduatý Sigorta Fonu’na (TMSF) devredilmesi bankacýlýk sistemindeki dengelerin tamamen deðiþmesi sonucunu doðurdu.
Bankalar Birliði ay sonunda yapacaðý genel kurul öncesi ekonomik verileri açýklamaya baþladý. Dün açýklanan veriler sistemin kasým krizinden olumsuz etkilendiðini rakamlarla ortaya koydu.

      Mevduat kamuya kaydý
Birlik verilerine göre, Eylül 2000’de kamu bankalarýnýn mevduatý özel bankalarýn mevduatýnýn altýnda seyrederken aralýk ayýnda kamu bankalarýndaki mevduatýn özel bankalardaki mevduatý aþtýðý gözlendi. Eylül - aralýk arasýnda 3.5 katrilyon lira artan toplam mevduatýn 2.8 katrilyonu kamu bankalarýna kayarken Demirbank’a el konulmasý nedeniyle TMSF bankalarýnýn mevduatý 2.6 katrilyon lira arttý.

Demirbank’ýn Fon’a devredilmesi, portföyünde 3 milyar dolarý aþkýn bonosu olmasý nedeniyle TMSF bankalarýndaki menkul deðerler cüzdanýnýn dört kat artarak 3 katrilyon 751 trilyon liraya yükselmesine neden oldu.
      News, bitte übersetzen:

      Batýk krediler patladý
      EKONOMÝ SERVÝSÝ
Türkiye’de son yaþanan iki finansal krizin sonucu kredi dönüþlerindeki sorunlar nedeniyle büyümeye baþlayan batýk krediler 5 katrilyon liraya yaklaþtý.
Batýk kredilerde, fon bankalarýnýn da içinde yer aldýðý özel bankalarýn batýk kredilerinin etkisiyle 500 trilyonun üzerinde artýþ yaþandý.

      4.8 katrilyon oldu

Klingt zwar positiv i.S. Enteignung (ist wohl nicht vorgesehen). Klärt aber auch nichts:

      Controversy over banking bill
Amendments to the banking law proposed by the economic management have drawn reactions from banking and business circles have also yet to be signed by Cabinet.

Engin Akcakoca, head of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) told reporters yesterday that work on the draft amendments were complete.

Yet it wasn`t clear whether the controversy over collection of bailed out banks` claims could be resolved. The bill proposed by Dervis and his team would enable the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) to seize property of main shareholders of the bank it takes over.

Turkey`s Union of Banks has opposed the provision on the grounds that it contradicts the basic rights to property, hence the Constitution.

The BDDK is reviewing other solutions to facilitate the collection of bailed out banks` claims and considering options such as transferring claims to third parties, Anatolia reported yesterday. The TMSF presently controls 13 banks.

ANKARA Turkey may only be able to sell two or three of the 13 troubled banks taken over by the government, and the rest will probably be disposed of through mergers, a source at the state fund that controls the banks said Tuesday.
      .
Demirbank, Turkey`s ninth-biggest in terms of assets before it was taken over in December, is seen as the most promising candidate for sale, though the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund, controlled by Turkey`s banking regulator, said Monday it was extending the deadline for bids until June 18.
      .
The fund source said that apart from Demirbank, only one or two more of the 13 banks was likely to find a buyer. The rest would probably merge under Sumerbank, one of the largest of those taken over by the fund.
      .
The fund has already announced plans to merge four smaller banks with Sumerbank, and the source said that plan could be extended to cover the other banks.
      .
Alternatively, the other banks could be merged into another bank rather than Sumerbank, the source said, adding that the situation would be clarified this month.

Mopping up Turkey`s banking sector is a key condition of $10 billion of emergency lending recently announced from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
