      Key management appointments reinforce focus on maintaining operational
      profitability in 2001
      Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 13 March 2001: Scala Business Solutions has strengthened its senior management team with three new appointments designed to maximize global sales opportunities, improve client account management, enhance indirect channels management, and strengthen customer support.
      According to the Dutch-based business software company, strengthening its senior management team with these key appointments is a major element in the company’s continuing focus on maintaining operational profitability - its most important objective this year - following a return to operational profitability in the 4th quarter last year (see press release 5 March).
      The three senior management appointments are:
       Heather Colby, previously Vice President Sales Western Europe, has been promoted to Senior Vice President Sales. In her new role, Colby will head up the global sales team, including sales staff from key markets and with key skills, such as in e-business. Colby joined Scala in 1995 and has successfully fulfilled a range of sales and marketing management roles in Eastern and Western Europe, gaining substantial field and corporate sales experience as well as working very closely with many of Scala’s key accounts.
       Tim Newton, previously Director of Support Services, has been promoted to Vice President Client Support. During the past four years Newton has been in charge of successfully developing the global hotline support network as well as being responsible for the Client Care group and Maintenance Analysts. With over 20 years’ experience in customer service in the software industry, Newton is well placed to continuing working with Scala’s customers to deliver improved global and local support.
       Steve Humble, Senior Vice President Client Solutions, has taken over responsibility for the worldwide indirect partner and dealer channel. Humble has been associated with Scala for over 10 years and was promoted to Senior Vice President in February 2000. He continues to spearhead the international consulting force, global maintenance and support as well as the Scala University.

      Partners Extend Contracts
      As part of strengthening the worldwide channel, long-standing partners in Australia, Africa and Canada have extended their contracts to continue selling, implementing and supporting Scala’s products in their territories. “Building a strong channel to market is crucial to our success in delivering world-class software, and supporting our clients, anywhere in the world,” said Mike Burdett, Scala’s President. “Our partners bring complementary skills and essential knowledge about issues such as localization.”
      Burdett continued, “Hand in hand with achieving our goal of a return to operational profitability is having the right mix of senior managers and organization structure that is key to the success of our business strategy this year. We are confident that these key appointments will add value to the services we provide to our customers, partners and dealers, wherever in the world they are.”

      Hallo Lloret,

      nach langer Zeit hat sich endlich ein Scala-Interessierter hier eingefunden. Ich bin schon seit über einem Jahr investiert.

      Was ist denn noch im Busch?

      Würde mich über eine Antwort sehr freuen.

      war etwa ein weiterer Kursrutsch im Busch oder was?

      Ist Scala eigentlich auf der Cebit vertreten??
