Die Exploration der anderen Gebiete sei weniger fortgeschritten, doch arbeite man mit Hochdruck daran, auch diese voranzutreiben. Nicht ohne Grund hoffe Falconbridge auf ein "zweites Voisey’s Bay".
Blackstone Ventures gehöre sicherlich am kanadischen Aktienmarkt zu den noch unentdeckten Perlen unter einer Vielzahl von Explorationswerten. Durch die klare Fokussierung auf das Basismetall Nickel und die hervorragenden Kontakte in die Minenszene dürfte sich der Erfolg des Unternehmens auch bei denkbaren Rückschlägen kaum aufhalten lassen. Nach der zuletzt erfolgreich abgeschlossenen Kapitalerhöhung habe Blackstone ein ausreichendes Kapitalpolster von knapp 5 Millionen CAD (Kanadischer Dollar). Falconbridge, die sich ebenfalls an dieser Kapitalmaßnahme beteiligt hätten, würden nun aktuell 10,1 Prozent von Blackstone besitzen. Sollten sich in den kommenden Monaten weitere Explorationserfolge einstellen, sei mittelfristig sogar ein Übernahmeversuch durch Falconbridge oder auch INCO denkbar.

habe mich mit den kollegen von blackstone in frankfurt bei der präsentation im oktober unterhalten. War einer meiner top pick. Habe ich auchmal wo gepostet wenn ich mich recht entsinne. Sollte nach Bodenerreichung wieder aufwärts gehen- halte einen totalverlust für unwahrscheinlich und dazu kommt dass Nickel wieder en vogue ist.

Blackstone and Falconbridge Finalize Plans to Spend $US4.4 Million Budget in 2006 on Norway Nickel Projects Thursday December 15, 11:16 am ET
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 15, 2005) - A joint management committee comprised of representatives of Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BLV - News) and Sulfidmalm A/S (a wholly owned subsidiary of Falconbridge Limited) has finalized the 2006 exploration budget for the two company`s Norway joint venture projects. The total budgeted work program will be US$4.4 million which will be spent on the Espedalen, Vakkerlien and South Norway Projects. Field work on the projects will begin in mid to late February or as soon as field conditions allow. Sulfidmalm is the operator for all the projects in Norway held under the joint venture.
Sulfidmalm, which is funding 100% of exploration expenditures at the Espedalen Project, has proposed a project budget of US$1.4 million to be spent on diamond drilling, borehole and ground UTEM geophysical surveying. Most of the diamond drilling currently proposed is to follow up on significant mineralization discovered during the 2004 and 2005 exploration programs, including down dip and along strike of the Stormyra Zone (see results in press releases from July 12 and April 21, 2005). Ground UTEM geophysical surveys will also be completed over several identified airborne EM conductors which remain untested on the property. The conductors will then be prioritized before testing the targets with diamond drilling. The objective remains to find a zone on the Espedalen property with the potential to host in excess of 10 million tonnes of high grade nickel sulphide mineralization. The presence of the high grade Stormyra mineralization is a strong testament to the potential to find this style of mineralization on the property.
The Vakkerlien and South Norway Projects, which are being 100% funded by Blackstone, have had a US$3.0 million budget approved by Blackstone management. This will allow for a significant amount of preliminary airborne magnetic and EM surveying to be completed prior to focused ground UTEM surveys over prospective targets for nickel sulphide mineralization. The intention is to complete the preliminary geophysics as quickly as possible in order to advance the most prospective target areas to a drill stage. Provisions have been made in the South Norway project budget so as to complete 40 to 50 drill holes on the most prospective targets. Several of the areas which will likely be drilled have known historical nickel deposits located within the property boundaries. A small portion of the project area was recently flown with a 3,400 kilometre airborne magnetic and EM survey which was successful in outlining coincident EM anomalies associated with several of the historical nickel deposits. Once appropriate governmental permitting has been received these areas will be surveyed with ground UTEM geophysical surveys in order to more accurately delineate diamond drill targets.
Donald McInnes, President of Blackstone, states "although the Norway projects are seemingly at an early stage of exploration the seven project areas that we are developing with Falconbridge are far more like brownfield development. The project areas acquired, covering such large land positions, are host to in excess of 50 known historical nickel sulphide deposits which have virtually never been subjected to any modern exploration methodologies. We`re looking forward to working closely with the Falconbridge exploration group to ensure a successful 2006 exploration program."
The exploration program is being carried out under the direction of Falconbridge Limited exploration manager Peter Manojlovic P. Geo., a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. (TSX VENTURE:BLV) is pleased to announce that the Company has reached an agreement with a syndicate of dealers led by Toll Cross Securities Inc., and including Pacific International Securities Ltd. (the "Agents"), to raise a minimum of $7.5 million to a maximum of $10 million by way of a best efforts private placement.
Pursuant to the private placement, the Company will issue and sell units at an issue price of $0.65 per unit. Each unit will consist of a common share and a one-half common share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant entitling the holder to purchase one additional common share at $1.00 per common share for a period of eighteen months following closing.
The Agents will be entitled to receive a 7.5% cash commission. The Agents may elect to receive up to 50% of the commission in Units. In addition, the Agents will receive compensation options equal in number to 8.0% of the number of Units sold under the offering. The compensation options will be exercisable for a period of eighteen months from the closing date and will allow the Agents to purchase additional units at $0.65 per unit.
The brokered private placement is subject to regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions. Any securities issued in conjunction with this financing will be subject to minimum resale restrictions for four months and a day from the date of close.
The net proceeds of this private placement will be used to fund the Company's Scandanavian nickel exploration projects and for general working capital.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jan 29, 2007 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX News Network) --
Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BLV) is pleased to announce a 2007 $4 million exploration and development budget and goals for Sweden in 2007. The projects comprise 19 exploration permits and applications totaling 64,000 hectares and gives Blackstone effective control over the Vasterbotten Nickel Belt and its known nickel sulphide deposits. Sweden boasts a strong positive mining culture and excellent infrastructure. A 20-25,000 metre drill program has commenced and an additional two diamond drills are expected to be operational by the end of the first quarter. The 2007 exploration campaign will be overseen by newly appointed country manager Ricardo Lopes.
Since announcing the finalization of an Option to Purchase Agreement with Lundin Mining Corp. (see press release November 8, 2006) the Company has completed a 4,000 line kilometre HeliTem airborne magnetic and EM survey over a large portion of its land package. The project areas are extensively covered with glacial overburden, typically sandy tills, which have hampered past prospecting and exploration efforts. The airborne survey was flown over many of the known historical resources and provides an excellent database from which to design an aggressive exploration program. Numerous conductive features have been interpreted from preliminary survey data and have been targeted for nickel sulphide exploration. Many of these features are coincident with existing historical deposits such as the Lappvattnet Nickel Deposit (historical resource of 2.5Mt @ 1.03%Ni), or are located immediately along strike of known mineralization.
The Company has let an initial diamond drilling contract and the first drill rig has been mobilized to the Lainjaur Property located in the northern part of the Skellefte district. The historical Lainjaur Nickel Mine is the only nickel deposit to have seen commercial mining within the district (1941 to 1945) and was the last nickel mine in operation in Sweden. The Lainjaur nickel mine produced a reported 100,526 tonnes of ore grading 2.2 per cent Ni (nickel), 0.93 per cent Cu (copper) and 0.1 per cent Co (cobalt). Mineralization is found at the base of a shallow dipping gabbro to gabbro norite host rock and has been mined to a vertical depth of less than 100 metres. Ground geophysical surveying has identified two distinct EM conductors on the property, both of which are located down plunge of the mine workings. The first hole is designed to intersect the interpreted down plunge extension of the deposit at approximately 200 metres drill depth. Four to six holes are planned to drill test the identified EM conductors in this first phase of drilling.
To supervise these programs the Company is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ricardo Lopes as the Exploration Manager for Sweden. Mr. Lopes has recently resigned from Xstrata Nickel where he was the Chief Project Geologist for Regional Nickel in Brazil. His most recent responsibilities included overseeing the delineation of the Serra do Tapa and Vale dos Sonhos advanced nickel laterite projects which are being brought towards a resource definition by Xstrata Nickel. Mr. Lopes brings over 16 years of nickel exploration experience to the Company and has worked extensively in South America implementing regional exploration programs searching for nickel and platinum group metals. Mr. Lopes\' immediate task will be to rapidly advance the numerous exploration targets on the Company\'s extensive Swedish property holdings to the drill stage. Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BLV) is pleased to announce a 2007 $4 million exploration and development budget and goals for Sweden in 2007. The projects comprise 19 exploration permits and applications totaling 64,000 hectares and gives Blackstone effective control over the Vasterbotten Nickel Belt and its known nickel sulphide deposits. Sweden boasts a strong positive mining culture and excellent infrastructure. A 20-25,000 metre drill program has commenced and an additional two diamond drills are expected to be operational by the end of the first quarter. The 2007 exploration campaign will be overseen by newly appointed country manager Ricardo Lopes.
Since announcing the finalization of an Option to Purchase Agreement with Lundin Mining Corp. (see press release November 8, 2006) the Company has completed a 4,000 line kilometre HeliTem airborne magnetic and EM survey over a large portion of its land package. The project areas are extensively covered with glacial overburden, typically sandy tills, which have hampered past prospecting and exploration efforts. The airborne survey was flown over many of the known historical resources and provides an excellent database from which to design an aggressive exploration program. Numerous conductive features have been interpreted from preliminary survey data and have been targeted for nickel sulphide exploration. Many of these features are coincident with existing historical deposits such as the Lappvattnet Nickel Deposit (historical resource of 2.5Mt @ 1.03%Ni), or are located immediately along strike of known mineralization.
The Company has let an initial diamond drilling contract and the first drill rig has been mobilized to the Lainjaur Property located in the northern part of the Skellefte district. The historical Lainjaur Nickel Mine is the only nickel deposit to have seen commercial mining within the district (1941 to 1945) and was the last nickel mine in operation in Sweden. The Lainjaur nickel mine produced a reported 100,526 tonnes of ore grading 2.2 per cent Ni (nickel), 0.93 per cent Cu (copper) and 0.1 per cent Co (cobalt). Mineralization is found at the base of a shallow dipping gabbro to gabbro norite host rock and has been mined to a vertical depth of less than 100 metres. Ground geophysical surveying has identified two distinct EM conductors on the property, both of which are located down plunge of the mine workings. The first hole is designed to intersect the interpreted down plunge extension of the deposit at approximately 200 metres drill depth. Four to six holes are planned to drill test the identified EM conductors in this first phase of drilling.
To supervise these programs the Company is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ricardo Lopes as the Exploration Manager for Sweden. Mr. Lopes has recently resigned from Xstrata Nickel where he was the Chief Project Geologist for Regional Nickel in Brazil. His most recent responsibilities included overseeing the delineation of the Serra do Tapa and Vale dos Sonhos advanced nickel laterite projects which are being brought towards a resource definition by Xstrata Nickel. Mr. Lopes brings over 16 years of nickel exploration experience to the Company and has worked extensively in South America implementing regional exploration programs searching for nickel and platinum group metals. Mr. Lopes\' immediate task will be to rapidly advance the numerous exploration targets on the Company\'s extensive Swedish property holdings to the drill stage. Blackstone Initial Drill Program in Sweden Returns 2.06% Ni and 0.48% Cu Over 5.1m at Lainjaur Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 2, 2007) - Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BLV - News) is pleased to announce that it has intersected significant nickel sulphide mineralization in its first hole drilled in Sweden at the Lainjaur Project located in the northern part of the Skellefte district. The hole was drilled down dip of the historical Lainjaur Nickel Mine and intersected 2.06% Ni, 0.48% Cu, 0.07% Co over 5.1m from 194.0 to 199.1 metres drill depth. The intersection is believed to represent close to true width. The first phase of drilling at Lainjaur consisted of 1347 metres in four holes. All 4 holes, which were drilled to target depths, hit variable amounts of sulphide mineralization. Assay results are pending for the remainder of the holes.

Donald McInnes, President of Blackstone, stated, "The drill intersection from hole LAI07-03 is a very exciting development for Blackstone and for the Swedish Nickel Projects for three reasons.
1. It clearly demonstrates that significant success can be had by drilling in the vicinity of historical Swedish nickel resources that have never been subjected to modern exploration methods demonstrating the potential for the discovery of new nickel resources.
2. The grade of this intersection at more than 2% Ni is very similar to the historical grades mined at the Lainjaur Mine, which closed in 1945, and suggests that there may be other new high grade zones of mineralization on the property.
3. The mineralization is open down dip and along strike to the east and west. Hole LAI-07-03 intersected the mine stratigraphy approximately 150 metres down dip to the north of the old mine workings. Holes 04 and 05 were drilled 100 metres and 200 metres, respectively, north and down dip of LAI-07-03 and both hit the similar mineralized stratigraphy. We believe this is a significant step out from the known workings and gives us some comfort that there may be potential size to the zone.
Our near term goal is to test for the potential to expand this mineralization along strike and down dip."
A preliminary interpretation of the drilling data indicates the mineralization appears to be a typical magmatic sulphide with the more massive sulphide being found towards the basal contact of a gabbro. The zone appears to be shallow dipping at approximately 30 degrees grid north with an overall plunge of the zone being to the north Several narrow, isolated intervals of semi-massive and disseminated sulphide mineralization also occur locally within the gabbro, up-hole of the main zone. The stratigraphy appears to be very predictable over a dip length of at least 600 metres.
A geophysical crew has been mobilized to the site and will perform borehole geophysical surveys on the recently completed holes in order to direct future exploration on the project. Many of these features are coincident with existing historical deposits such as the Lappvattnet Nickel Deposit (historical resource of 2.5Mt @ 1.03%Ni), or are located immediately along strike of known mineralization. The drill has moved off of Lainjaur and is currently operating in the Vasterbotten area.
Drill core is being logged and mineralized intervals are to be split on site in Sweden, with split samples being shipped to OMAC Laboratories in Ireland. A system of using check assays, duplicates and standards has been implemented for quality control purposes. The exploration program is being carried out under the direction of Paul Nagerl, P. Geo., Vice President of Exploration for the Company and a qualified person as defined by Nattional Instrument 43-101. The information in this release was prepared under the direction of Dean MacEachern, P. Geo., Chief Operating Officer for Blackstone, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
Blackstone has mounted one of the most aggressive sulphide nickel exploration programs in the world focused on Scandinavia. In 2007, with a $10 million budget, Blackstone expects to complete over 250 diamond drill holes in Norway and Sweden totalling approximately 50,000 metres. Its land holdings cover no less than four prospective belts, each over 100 kilometres long, many of which contain historical nickel mines and or resources.
