Ibs Uran(JORC gemäss), in unterschiedlichen Kategorien.

      "Corporate Overview
Contact Uranium Ltd is an Australian-based uranium company with an immediate focus to expand its resources, then progress its projects to production.

Contact Uranium (formerly Contact Resources) and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in September 2005, and is acquiring a portfolio of exceptional uranium projects in Peru and Kyrgyzstan, with further exploration areas in Western Australia.

The company currently holds a total JORC resource of almost 11m pounds of uranium across its two key uranium projects in Peru and Kyrgyzstan:

The advanced Corachapi Uranium deposit has a JORC compliant Inferred Resource of 9.2 million lbs of U3O8. The Corachapi Uranium deposit is shallow and displays high grades of up to 0.33% U3O8 with more typical grades around 0.115%. The company believes there is significant expansion potential.

The highly prospective Kamushanovskoe uranium project in Kyrgyzstan has an initial JORC resource of 1.71 million pounds of Inferred and Indicated uranium contained in surfuce peat deposits. Grades reach 0.227% and average 0.048% uranium. The project is a short distance from the Kara Balta uranium processing facility. Again, the company believes there is significant expansion potential.
Contact has a 100% interest in three further prospective Kyrgyzstan uranium licences, Boom Canyon, Shyrgyi, and Jetym, bringing the company’s total land position to 2457km2."

      Manager of Company Announcements
      ASX Limited

      SYDNEY NSW 2000
      By E-Lodgement
EXCELLENT INITIAL DRILLING RESULTS AT CORACHAPI
Contact Uranium (‘Contact’) is pleased to announce preliminary results from its
estimated 10,000m drilling programme at its Corachapi uranium project in Peru.

      Key points:-
      · Very long eU3O8 intersections include:-
      54.73m @ 0.026% eU3O8
      41.34m @ 0.034% eU3O8
      35.09m @ 0.033% eU3O8
      34.17m @ 0.056% eU3O8
      · Mineralisation at or near surface
      · Mineralisation significantly thicker than previously estimated
      · New mineralisation also identified in areas between previous
      resource blocks
      · Highest mineralisation grade is 2.07m @ 0.425% eU3O8
Commenting on the results, Contact's Executive Chairman Richard Napier said
"We are extremely excited by the results from the first 16 holes drilled at the
north-western end of our resource. They are just the beginning, but have
produced by far the longest continuous intersections of notable grade reported in
the Macusani area, significantly surpassing our own original depth estimates.
They have also yielded some of the highest grade uranium mineralisation
reported from Macusani to date. The fact that drilling has discovered
mineralisation extending deeper than, and between, the current resource blocks
lends a lot of weight to our supposition that a much larger mineralising system
      exists at Corachapi."
      Introduction
Contact Uranium is currently undertaking an estimated 10,000m, 180 hole
drilling program at its Corachapi Uranium project in Peru. This program is
focused on confirming, expanding and validating the JORC inferred resource
that has been previously reported from this prospect.
As at the 18th November 2007, Contact had two diamond drills working double
shifts on site and had completed 37 inclined HQ diamond drill holes for a total
advance of 2,360m, implying an average hole depth of 63m. It is likely that a
third diamond drill will be arriving on the property shortly. The program should
involve 180 diamond drill holes for an estimated total advance of 10,000m."

      Einige Zitate, Ausschnitte:

"One of the best value uranium plays in the world with a market valuation per pound uranium of a fraction of its peers (based on JORC resources only)"

""We actually think we can easily
      triple that resource," Dr Napier
      said."

"“Earlier this year, we completed a radiometric survey of the Kihitian and Corachapi licence areas,” says Dr Napier,
“and we found a very large, continuous anomaly extending around the Corachapi ridge. From the V-shaped geometry, we see
good potential for a tabular orebody cutting
right through the ridge, the top of which obscures part of the uranium signal.”

The implications of this if proven up by the current drilling
programme, he says, could be a major expansion of
the resource, which could easily triple.
      In fact, the
area used to calculate the current resource is very
small compared with the size of the now identified
anomaly. The immediate priority, says Dr Napier, is to get a much better idea of the expansion potential of the project
before going on to drill another 20,000-25,000 m in 2008. The Contract
Uranium team takes comfort not only in the quality of what it is uncovering at Corachapi and Kihitian, but also
in the fact that there are a number of other mining
companies working in the area, and that, in terms of uranium, Peru has been overlooked for the past 25 years.
“The Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy (IPEN) did a lot of work in previous decades identifying a number of prospects,” says Dr Napier. “The whole prospective area in Macusani covers
around 400 km² and our acreage is recognised as the best in the region.

      We’re looking at virgin, unexploited
      high-grade uranium deposits, and that’s
      quite different from numerous other
      companies
which have low-grade, deep or otherwise
      difficult-to-extract targets.”"

Contact Uranium also holds a number of highly prospective uranium, gold, nickel, copper and base metals projects in Western Australia.

      Parry Range
Contact Uranium has an interest in the Parry Range project, which is located in the Ashburton Mineral Field of Western Australia. Easily accessible, the project area sits just off the road near Mt Murray.

Copper and base metal mineralisation is recorded in several locations in the Ashburton Mineral Field. Limited very high-grade copper production on the Parry Range project was recorded in 1962 of 0.56 tonnes grading 20% copper, and in 1963, 15.11 tonnes grading 23.9% copper.

Recent sampling of the abandoned workings has confirmed the high-grade copper values, with 3 grab samples grading 15%, 17% and 22% copper, including anomalous silver grading up to 220 g/t with associated anomalous gold.

With the very encouraging sampling results, Contact intends to map and soil sample the Project area with a view to fast tracking drilling. To date no exploratory holes have been drilled in the Project area.

      Collurabbie project
Contact Uranium has 16 areas under application, totalling 3020 square kilometres making the company one of the largest tenement holders in the new Collurabbie Nickel sulphide province, located in the north-eastern goldfields of Western Australia.

Falcon Minerals Limited conducted the first aircore drilling program and has since announced significant nickel, copper and platinum group elements results in follow up drilling. The project areas have had little to no exploration and Contact Uranium believes that the amount of greenstone has been under reported.

Contact’s approach to exploration will focus initially on acquiring higher resolution air borne magnetics and radiometrics. Anomalies will be followed up with ground geophysics, including EM and magnetics, coupled with geochemical analysis and follow up drilling.

Fallows Field And Dome – Triangle Projects
Contact Uranium has under application the Dome - Triangle, and the Fallows Field projects, which are large areas, located in a highly prospective geological setting similar to the nearby Telfer Gold Mine owned by Newcrest Mining Ltd.

The Dome - Triangle and Fallows Field Projects are located 27 kilometres and 10 kilometres, respectively from the Telfer Gold Mine and have large tracts of the Telfer member of the Malu formation. The Telfer Gold Mine has current reserves of approximately 18.4 million ounces of gold and 690,000 tonnes of copper.

The Fallows Field Project area wraps around the Fallows Field mining lease M45/11 held by Newcrest, which has historical production of 50,000 ounces of gold at an unknown grade from within the Puntapunta formation.

Contact’s initial strategy is be to collate all the existing data into a single database allowing for the generation of drill targets to test depth and strike extensions of known mineralisation.

      Mount Cotton Project
Contact Uranium has 140 square kilometres under application, 100 kilometres southeast of the Newcrest owned Telfer Gold Mine on the Western margin of the Great Sandy Desert.

There are significant mineral occurrences on the Mount Cotton Project, and to date only limited exploration has been undertaken. The Mount Cotton Project is a priority target for uranium, gold and other base metals.

The Mount Cotton Project area has not been the focus of any modern day exploration. Records show that prior to 1984 AGIP and Newmont completed 2 diamond drill holes and several surface grab samples. Results from drilling included 1.5% uranium and 2% copper and 1.1% zinc. Surface samples from previous explorers at various locations on the project area returned assay values of 11.45%, 4.3%, 2.6% and 1.8% copper and 1.6% lead.
Contact intends to focus on the uranium prospectivity of the project.

      Coobina Chromite Project
The company has 140 square kilometres under application, immediately south of the Coobina chromite mine operated by Consolidated Minerals Ltd, located near Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Chromite was first reported at Coobina in 1925 and was mined sporadically, with the bulk of activity after 1992. The Coobina resource is currently the largest Chromite resource in Australia. Exploration of the Coobina Chromite Extended Project will initially comprise of ground mapping followed by ground magnetics to delineate any lenses covered by overburden.

Reverse circulation drilling will test for chromite lenses with a view to delineating a resource in the near future.

      Bates Nickel Project
Contact Uranium holds exploration project 196 square kilometres over the relatively unexplored Bates region in the Musgrave Ranges. The project is located five kilometres north of Acclaim Exploration NL’s Wingellina Project, which has announced a resource of 227 Mt @ 1% nickel and 0.07% cobalt. Previous exploration in the region has identified nickel sulphides and Platinum Group Elements mineralisation.

Contact intends to use geophysical and geochemical techniques to generate potential drill targets."

      Continental Capital sagt mir was.

"Contact Uranium's sights set on surging market

World demand for uranium is increasing and Contact Uranium is moving to meet the market, Executive Chairman Richard Napier says.
When Contact Uranium joined the ASX in 2005, it listed under the name of Contact Resources. However, the company re-branded itself earlier this year to reflect the strength of its current uranium projects, and its confidence in the long-term viability of the element.

The company’s Executive Chairman Dr Richard Napier explains the company's recent developments.

“We renamed the company to Contact Uranium in 2007 in June," he says. "The reason for that was because our best projects are uranium projects.

"We’ve also been driven by a strong uranium boom market over the last two to three years. At the moment there are about 450 nuclear reactors operating in the world. And planned or proposed nuclear reactors; there are another 300 coming mainly from China, US, India and Russia. So we think there’s a long-term, strong, fundamental, price demand for uranium.”

The Perth-based explorers have a portfolio of exploration licenses in Western Australia. However Dr Napier says that it is the company's overseas projects that have really been driving its success.

“Our main projects are in Peru, and in Kyrgyzstan in central Asia, and we’ve got just over 2500sq km of licensed ground for uranium," he says.

"The largest project is the Corachapi Project in Peru, and the project with the nearest term production potential is in Kamushanovskoe in northern Kyrgyzstan. In Peru we have 9.2 million pounds of JORC compliant inferred resources, and in Kyrgyzstan we’ve got 1.71 million pounds of JORC compliant indicated and inferred resources.

“We’re still an exploration company and our main priority is to maximise the size of our resources and constrain the size of our resources. Having said that, I think we’re probably about two to three years away from production.”

Contact Uranium has made full use of local expertise in both Kyrgyzstan and Peru, where it has retained the services of resident consultants and geologists. Dr Napier believes that in both countries Contact Uranium’s main projects are strengthened by the presence of good local infrastructure.

“In Peru, the new Inter Oceanica Highway that runs from Brazil down to Chile, through Peru, goes within a few kilometres of our projects," Dr Napier says.

"Electricity grids go also within a few kilometres of our projects. Water is in good supply there. And in Kyrgyzstan – our main project Kamushanovskoe is next to a town, so it has all the advantages of roads, electricity, water supply there.

"We’re also just down the road from the Kara Balta uranium processing facility and that will make things a lot more cost effective for us when we start to produce uranium there.”

Dr Napier, an exploration geologist with 15 years of target generation and exploration experience, is supported by a world-class team of geologists, whose expertise dates back to the 1960s.

“My CTO, Geoff Blackburn, has got 30 years of experience in exploration," Dr Napier says. "He also has the Australian Medal of Order (AO) for services to the mining industry.

"Jeff Aucott, our exploration manager in Peru, has got 40 years of experience also in uranium and other metals. And Phil Jones, our geological consultant in Kyrgyzstan, has got 30 years of experience, so there’s a lot of man-time there which is related to exactly what we’re doing.”

The team at Contact Uranium will be looking to further expand the company's uranium resources in 2008. Dr Napier’s confidence in the long-term uranium market is bolstered by his belief that nuclear power will become an increasingly viable energy source.

“My view is that uranium is becoming a more viable alternative to fossil fuels with more technological developments and safer handling, and of course there’s more demand for an alternative to oil as it becomes shorter in supply," he says.

“At the moment we are spending about $2 million on exploration programmes and drilling programmes in Peru and Kyrgyzstan. Next year we are going to increase that to around $5 million, and I think we’d be disappointed if we didn’t at least double the size of our resources after that next phase of exploration, and we’re aiming for much higher than that.” "

Resource Capital Research Publishes Its New Global Uranium Equity Research Report
Thursday March 27, 1:59 pm ET

      March Quarter, 2008

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 27, 2008 -- Resource Capital Research ("RCR"), an equity research company which focuses on small and mid size resource companies in the gold and uranium sectors, today launched its major quarterly research report covering 24 global uranium exploration and development companies with a focus on Australia, Canada, USA and UK.

      Key Points

      Uranium Market:

-- The spot uranium price is US$74/lb, down 20% from US$93/lb 3 months
ago (and US$1/lb off its low of US$73/lb, Feb. '08) and 46% off the high of
      US$138/lb reached June '07.
-- Forward indicators (fund implied price) currently indicate a modest
upward move to a uranium price around US$80/lb to US$85/lb, though in the
past 3 months uranium price volatility has increased.
-- Indicators currently suggest the market expectation is for a uranium
price of US$105/lb by September 2008.
-- Uranium fund sentiment and activity remain important factors in the
outlook for the spot uranium price with holdings of around 20 Mlb U3O8.
-- Planned and proposed new nuclear power reactors worldwide continue to
increase. From Jan. '07 to Jan. '08 there was an increase of 93 reactors
from 222 reactors (Jan. '07) to 315 reactors (Jan. '08), an increase of 42%
      in 12 months.

-- China announced plans (March '08) to increase its target for installed
nuclear power capacity to 60 GWe by 2020, up from a 40 GWe target
previously, and 120-160 GWe by 2030.
The country currently has 11 nuclear
reactors in operation generating 8.6 GWe, and 116 reactors planned or
      proposed.

      Uranium Companies:

-- The market valuation of Australian companies with one or more uranium
projects (263 companies) is down 8% over the past month, down 27% over the
past 3 months, and down 12% over the past 12 months.
-- This compares with a selection of 285 Canadian companies with one or
more uranium projects, up 11% over the past month, down 1% over the past 3
months, and down 16% over the past 12 months.
-- The junior end of the market has been disproportionately hurt by the
subprime market fall out and earlier than expected peak in the uranium
      price.
-- Juniors are making solid progress advancing through important project
milestones. Of particular note is the number of companies and projects in
Namibia, elsewhere in Africa and Australia that continue to announce new
      resources or project studies.

The quarterly report typically reviews companies active in established uranium districts globally, including Australia, Canada, USA, Argentina, Peru, Mongolia, Zambia, Tanzania and Namibia.

      Equity market performance

The market valuation of Australian companies with one or more uranium projects (263 companies) is down 8% over the past month, down 27% over the past 3 months, and down 12% over the past 12 months. This compares with a selection of 285 Canadian companies with one or more uranium projects, up 11% over the past month, down 1% over the past 3 months, and down 16% over the past 12 months.

In the past 3 months the majors have had mixed performances: Cameco (CCO) is up 10%, Denison Mines (DML) up 6% (+28% in the past month), Uranium One (UUU) down 43%, Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) up 22% and Paladin (PDN) down 13%.

The junior end of the market has been disproportionately hit by the subprime credit/liquidity crises, exacerbated in the uranium sector by a pull back from the earlier than anticipated peak in the uranium price (June '07). Selective share price outperformance has been driven by company specific newsflow and market position.

      Uranium price outlook

The spot uranium price is US$74/lb, down 20% from US$93/lb 3 months ago (and US$1/lb off its low of US$73/lb, Feb. '08) and 46% off the high of US$138/lb reached June '07.

Forward indicators (fund implied price) currently indicate a modest upward correction to the uranium price to around US$80/lb to US$85/lb, though in the past 3 months the fund implied price has ranged from US$70/lb to US$95/lb and uranium price volatility has increased. Indicators currently suggest the uranium price market expectation is US$105/lb by September 2008, and this has been relatively stable over the past few months at US$100/lb to US$108/lb.

The September 2008 indicator reached a high in 2Q07 of around US$210/lb and a low in 3Q07 of around US$70/lb. The industry average long term uranium price has remained firm at US$95/lb since May '07.

These expected price levels are revised down from the RCR December uranium quarterly when indicators suggested a near term uranium price of US$90/lb and US$125/lb (-16%) Sept. '08.

Uranium fund sentiment and activity remain important factors in the outlook for the spot uranium price. The funds are thought to hold about 20Mlb U3O8, which represents a significant percentage of the annual spot market volume, of about 18Mlb to 28Mlb. This leaves the spot market price highly susceptible to further fund activity -- and positively impacted late February by Uranium Participation Corp. announcing a C$65m capital raising to fund further uranium purchases.

World planned and proposed nuclear power reactors expanding

Planned and proposed new nuclear power reactors worldwide continue to increase. From Jan. '07 to Jan. '08 there was an increase of 93 reactors from 222 reactors (Jan. '07) to 315 reactors (Jan. '08), an increase of 42% in 12 months and an increase of 106% from 153 reactors 18 months ago (May '06). This compares with 439 nuclear power reactors currently in operation and 34 under construction.

In addition, a number of governments have called for a review on reactor closures or have indicated their support for, or plans to accelerate, reactor build -- these include the UK, and the USA. In March '08 China announced plans to increase its target for installed nuclear power capacity to 60 GWe by 2020, up from a 40 GWe target previously, and 120-160 GWe by 2030. The country currently has 11 nuclear reactors in operation generating 8.6 GWe, and 116 reactors planned or proposed.

Events of the past 3 months include:

      Industry

      -- Uranium production in 2007 was 107Mlb U3O8 up from 103Mlb in 2006, an
increase of 4Mlb U3O8 and short of industry expectations.
      -- Kazakhstan reported uranium production of 7827t U3O8 in 2007, up 25.7%
      from 6228t U3O8 in 2006.
A new sulphuric acid plant at Balkhash (cap.
1.2Mtpa) is expected to be commissioned mid '08.
-- Rising prices of competing energy sources highlighted with the price
of oil spiking over US$110/bbl March '08.

      Companies

-- Further production delays announced include delayed commissioning of
the Dominion Mine in South Africa (Uranium One) due to factors including
disruption to power supplies and equipment breakdowns. Production in 2008
is now expected to be 3.15Mlb U3O8 which follows previously revised
production cuts to 4.6Mlb (from 7.4Mlb U3O8). Forecast production for 2009
has been cut to 6.8Mlb U3O8.
-- Cameco announced it had successfully plugged Cigar Lake, which has
potential to produce ~7.5kt pa U3O8 from or after 2011.
-- Trekkopje heap leach uranium project in Namibia is targeting July '08
commissioning, subject to Areva securing a firm power supply agreement with
NamPower. (UraMin production target 8.5Mlb pa).
-- Junior and mid cap companies continue to advance new projects. Equinox
      Resources
(EQN) is expected to release its updated feasibility study for a
standalone uranium plant at Lumwana (Zambia) 1H08. African Energy Resources (AFR) is expected to release a PFS for its Chirundu uranium project
(Zambia) 2Q08. Contact Uranium (ASX:CTS.AX - News) is expecting to announce a
significant upward revision to its resource base at Corachapi (Peru) late
      2Q08.
An enhanced scoping study is expected at Bigrlyi in the NT (53%,
Energy Metals (EME)) 2Q08. Extract Resources (ASX:EXT.AX - News) (Toronto:EXT.TO - News) expects
to announce an initial resource at Ida Dome (Namibia) 2008. Globe Uranium
(GBE) expects to complete a scoping study at the Kanyika uranium/specialty-
metal project (Malawi) 2Q08. Significant resource upgrade expected at
      Kvanefjeld
(Greenland, Greenland Minerals) (GGG) Mar. '08. Black Range
(BLR) expects to release its scoping study for Taylor Ranch 1H08. An
initial resource is expected at Bennett Well (WA, Scimitar Resources, SIM)
Mar. '08. Toro Energy (TOE) expects to complete a PFS at Lake Way/Centipede
2Q08. Uranex (UNX) has scoping studies expected at Thatcher Soak (WA) and
Bahi (Tanzania) 2Q08. West Australian Metals (WME) expects a resource
expansion at Marenica (Namibia) Mar. '08
      .

"The junior end of the market has been disproportionately hurt by the subprime market fall out and earlier than expected peak in the uranium price. Nonetheless, many companies continue to make solid progress advancing through important project milestones. Of particular note is the number of companies and projects in Namibia, elsewhere in Africa and Australia that continue to announce new resources or project studies," John Wilson, Managing Director of RCR, noted.

      · Best results, all near surface at 100ppm cut off, include

      9.60m @ 2220ppm eU3O8 (0.22% eU3O8)
      5.52m @ 2094ppm eU3O8 (0.21% eU3O8)

      23.90m @ 529ppm eU3O8 (0.05% eU3O8)

      · Highest grades recorded up to 1.19% eU3O8

      • Likelihood of multiple mineralised systems at Corachapi is considered high

The board of Contact Uranium Limited is pleased to announce the discovery of significant new uranium mineralization at its Corachapi Uranium project. This mineralization, at Quebrada Coral in the east of the licence appears to represent a discrete new deposit.

From the limited drilling completed to date this new deposit appears to contain grades and widths similar to the results from the previously announced areas from the west of the licence.

Whilst there are occasional surface exposures and limited former IPEN (government uranium group) workings, the drilling indicates that the deposit is at least partly covered by from one to five meters of barren tuff and hence is largely "blind". This overlying layer of barren tuff essentially placed it beyond the exploration methodologies used by IPEN in the 1980s and hence was not significantly evaluated by them.

A total of 24 HQ core holes on 12 platforms for 1134.4m (average depth 47.3m) have been drilled on this new zone of mineralization. This represents the incomplete drilling of four sections spaced over a possible strike length of at least 1.5kms as implied by the surface gamma uranium channel anomaly. Sections variously contain from 1 to 5 platforms thus representing incomplete drill coverage of the potential target zone. Several of the drill holes bottomed in low grade mineralization implying that the mineralized package may be thicker than indicated by the current results.

      Contact Uranium announces Kyrgyzstan JV agreement - Mineweb.com - Friday , 27 Jun 2008

"The Board of Contact Uranium Limited ("Contact") is pleased to announce a joint venture agreement at its Kyrgyzstan projects. Pangaea Energy (PE), a private UK-based energy sector investment group, will fund US$1.3m of exploration in stages over the next 6 months at Kamushanovskoe and Jetym in exchange for a 37.5% interest in the projects.

PE will also give Contact a 2.4% holding in PE upon completion of the US$1.3m. PE shall have an additional right to acquire up to 80% of the projects by committing a further US$0.95m for exploration, paying Contact US$1.75m in cash, and giving Contact a further 2.5% holding in PE.

Contact's remaining 20% shall then be carried until commercial production at the projects, with PE retaining the right to purchase the final 20% interest in the project for US$20m at any time up to commercial production.

The board believes the deal is in Contact's best interests as it retains significant interests in its Kyrgyzstan projects, provides exploration funding, and allows Contact to focus on its larger Peruvian projects.
