Dr William Lo, Chairman and CEO of the Company also took the opportunity to announce the e-business enabler¡¦s strategy for the coming quarters.
According to Dr. Lo, the business focus of the Company has been progressively transformed from a consumer electronics and footwear products manufacturer to an integrated e-business enabler after he assumed the Chairmanship of the Company in December 1999.
He said that in order to establish a strong foothold in the e-business servicing market, management has recently implemented a three-pronged business strategy to take the Company forward. ¡§Firstly, to reshape Netalone into a first class e-business enabler by developing the best-in-class infrastructure -- both technology and people; secondly, to capture a significant share of our target market segments by offering carrier-grade e-business solutions at affordable prices; and thirdly, to manage unit cost proactively to continually increase our competitiveness and improve profit margins,¡¨ said Dr Lo.
Netalone¡¦s business portfolio is now composed of three separate business units: e-Solution Provision, e-Business Consultancy and e-Venture. ¡¨While the consultancy and venture catalyst businesses are relatively small in terms of operations, they both add significant value and leverage to our core e-solution business,¡¨ he added.
In the financial year ended 31 March 2000, Netalone has recorded a decrease in turnover from HK$128.7 million to HK$67.9 million. ¡§Given that the integrated e-business operation only began in December 1999, the financial results for the year reflected mainly the performance of the manufacturing business which has been in place prior to the restructuring and therefore could be viewed as transitional in nature,¡¨ Dr Lo explained. Including the provisions and write downs made for an intangible asset and various assets of the manufacturing business totaling over HK$55 million, the loss attributable to ordinary shareholders for the year amounted to HK$99.5 million as compared to HK$55.2 million in the previous year.
Despite the losses, the net tangible assets of Netalone increased 15-fold from HK$18.8million as at 31 March 1999 to HK$290.6 million as at 31 March 2000. This has equipped Netalone with the necessary financial resources to cope with the costs associated with the development and growth of the e-solution business.
Besides, as part of the rationalization of the manufacturing business, the footwear business operation was disposed of in February 2000 and management is closely monitoring the operations of the electronics division to curtail losses. Management is also actively looking for opportunities to realize value for shareholders in connection with divestment of such operation.
Looking ahead, Dr Lo is confident that the new business mix of Netalone will offer a diversified and steady revenue portfolio and thus ensure a sustainable business model in the new economy.
¡§Our core e-Solution business offers enterprises various e-commerce solutions under an Application Service Provider (ASP) model. We believe that this new charging model provides enterprises with considerable flexibility by allowing them to shift a part of their IT cost structure from a fixed one to a variable one, thereby also enabling them to achieve a higher return on investment as they move to adopt e-business.
Our solution offerings include e-commerce enabling platforms such as Business Commerce Suite (B2B), Retail Commerce Suite (B2C) and Enterprise Information Suite (intranet),¡¨ he said.
According to Dr Lo, in order to provide one-stop services to customers, Netalone offers various supporting professional services such as creative design, logistics solution, customer relationship management (CRM) and business analytics. Given
that many clients have comprehensive back office systems such as Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), messaging, database, and directory, Netalone also offers seamless system integration service leveraging on the latest Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) technology.
He said that to differentiate Netalone from companies with similar offerings, the Company put strong emphasis on providing the highest quality, or carrier-grade, service at an affordable price, and with timely delivery. While the ASP charging model and experience in project management will ensure that the latter two objectives are met, it is Netalone`s strategy to form close alliances with industry leaders around the world in order to build a robust technology infrastructure with the highest availability, reliability, scalability, and security standard. Frage mich nur wann sich das Potential auch Krurs niederschlägt. Bin zu 0,14€ investiert und

Ich denke der allgemeine Markt bezügl. dem Internet Asien ist derzeit nicht recht freundlich gestimmt. Selbst "sicherere" Werte wie Timeless, die erst kürzlich Zahlen vorgelegt haben und mit diesen eine Gewinnsteigerung um ca. 400 % aufwiesen gehen derzeit nur gen Süden. Einzig und allein die ganz großen Chinesen halten sich seitwärt oder gehen leicht nordwärt, wie z. b. China Mobile oder PCCW.
Nebenwerte werden wohl erst wieder richtig anspringen, wenn sich bei den Standardwerten eine deutlicher Aufwärtstrend gebildet hat. M. E. denke ich, daß wir den Boden schon fast erreicht haben.
In Netalone bin ich zu 0,16, 0,11 rein und hab alles dann zu 0,09 am selben Tag verkauft und wieder eingekauft (je selbe Stückzahl, ich glaube ich habe sogar meine eigenen wieder zurückbekommen) wegen der Steuer, da ich glaube das ich sie dieses Jahr nicht mehr verkaufen werde sondern erst nächstes Jahr oder später. Ebenso werde ich auch meine sino-i.com halten, bei denen sich der Kurs z. Zt. etwas freundlicher (seitwärts) verhält.
Ich glaube, all diejenigen die in Asien-Internet investiert sind müssen noch ein wenig Geduld mitbringen. Kleinen Betrag investieren, liegenlassen und mind. 2 - 3 Monate nicht mehr draufschauen, ich denke sie stehen dann noch wieder mind. da wo sie jetzt stehen oder vielleicht höher!

habe die news bei e-finet auch gelesen, was ist davon zu halten....wird hier nur noch der mantel gekauft und die firma umformiert oder bleibt das geschäftsfeld erhalten...
Zur Info ich bin im Besitz einer kleinen Position von netalone und könnte jetzt verbilligen. Da ich jedoch nur spärlich Infos bekomme wage ich es nicht zuzukaufen. Zur Info ich bin im Besitz einer kleinen Position von netalone und könnte jetzt verbilligen. Da ich jedoch nur spärlich Infos bekomme wage ich es nicht zuzukaufen. Hallo,
habe gestern mal beim Berliner Makler angerufen. War sehr aufschlussreich.
Angeblich soll der Vostand von Netalone zurückgetreten sein und seine Anteile an einen Investmentfond namens Leap Holding verkauft haben. Es sollen ungefähr 21 % der Netalone - Aktien gewesen sein. Eigentlich positiv oder? die Dinger liegen ja jetzt in festen Händen.
Ich weiss aber nicht ob man dem Makler trauen soll?

mit der übernahme stimmt,und wie man in berlin sieht,was im orderbuch steht,verkauft jemand 650 000 stück für 0,08,
das heisst doch ,das der jenige etwas mehr weiss.
derverkauft dann bestimmt um 0.065
denn die neue übernahme firma hat laut hk eine gute grundlage
ich wollte ja 2 000 000 stück verkaufen,aber da warte ich noch mit,der markler in berlin würde jetzt schon 0,04 zahlen

dann hast du ja schon 100%gewinn...das is meiner meinung nach sehr gut....40000dm mit so einem wert zu verdienen wäre für mich ein grund auszusteigen...aber es könnte ja auch noch viel mehr werden ...da gebe ich dir recht...
trotzdem 2000000 anteile loszuwerden ist nich leicht wer soll die denn kaufen...??
