Soros Fund Management Buys Algorithmics’ Algo Collateral Solution

Algorithmics Incorporated, a developer of enterprise risk management solutions, announced today that Soros Fund Management LLC of New York had licensed its Algo Collateral solution for OTC derivative margining.
The firm also said that the Soros purchased Algo Collateral`s Asset Management module that allows in-depth analysis of credit exposures to counterparties, custodians and security issuers across all products by industry, country, credit rating, and product type.
The deal marks one of the biggest hedge fund clients for Algorithmics and the firm now expects other potential hedge funds clients to take notice of its Algo Collateral solution.
Commenting on the deal, Michael Zerbs, Chief Operating Officer at Algorithmics said, "Buy-side institutions like Soros need robust and scalable collateral management systems in place to mitigate credit risk. In particular, Algo Collateral`s Asset Management module will give Soros greater flexibility and transparency when managing their collateral pools and optimizing their assets."
