COLUMBUS, Ohio -- October 4, 2001 -- Superconductive Components, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SCCI), today announced it has been awarded a patent from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for a new process to join two individual strongly linked super-conductors utilizing a melt processing technique.
This enabling technology permits crystals to be grown so that they have the characteristics of a single grain but the benefits of superconductors with more complex shapes and geometries. This process removes size and shape limitations of superconductors currently being produced, which can lead to more practical and cost effective manufacturing techniques. Additionally, it addresses challenges that have inhibited widespread application of high- temperature superconducting ("HTS") devices due to insufficient current- carrying capabilities.
Key commercial applications for this patented process include motor generators, magnets, including flux trap magnets, frictionless bearings, and HTS fault current limiters. The Company is pursuing opportunities to utilize this process with customers engaged in the manufacture of components and devices that can benefit from this process.

die werden ja nur an der Nasdaq gehandelt. wie läuft das eigentlich wenn nur ein Symbol zu Verfügung steht und keine WKN.

Superconductive ist zwar nur eine kleine Firma, bewegt sich aber auf einem sehr interessanten Markt. Vielleicht finden wir noch weitere Informationen.
