The Directors are pleased to announce that today they approved full
development of the Company`s recently discovered high-grade gold and
antimony orebodies at Costerfield in central Victoria.
* The project will involve the development of a new underground mine
and upgrading the existing gold processing plant at Costerfield.
* A feasibility study has shown annual earnings before interest, tax,
depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of at least $3 Million per
annum with possible earnings up to $8 Million per annum
(approximately 0.3 to 0.7 cents per share).
* The project will produce gold bullion with antimony concentrates as
a by-product.
* Capital cost is estimated at $5.2 Million and mine life will be up
to six years with good potential for further discoveries.
* Capital costs should be repaid in 2 years or less.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Diamond drilling during 2001 and earlier this year discovered the MH
Zone orebodies and has established recoverable Proven and Probable
Ore Reserves of 290,000 tonnes at 12 g/t gold and 6.2% antimony.
During the course of the feasibility study the metallurgical and
mineragraphic investigations established that the majority of the
gold occurs as finely disseminated free gold in the orebodies. In
other words the gold is mechanically attached to particles of quartz
and antimony as small solid particles of gold. This discovery has
been a significant breakthrough and has led to a considerable
simplification for the proposed ore processing methods.
Laboratory test work has shown that at least 47% of the gold can be
recovered to a conventional gravity concentrate at normal grinding
sizes.
If the ore is ground more finely, and enhanced gravity separation
equipment is used, then the recovery of gold to bullion could be
significantly increased. At least 70% recovery to bullion has been
indicated by preliminary test work. In both cases an antimony
concentrate would be produced as a by-product since the main revenue
would come from gold bullion.
The conventional grinding route has been firmly established as a
viable processing design based upon the feasibility study test work
and the project will proceed on this basis.
The fine grinding route is considered to reflect upside potential and
could increase EBITDA to about $8 Million.
Metal prices used in the evaluation are US$285/oz for gold and
US$1,350/tonne for antimony with an exchange rate US$ : A$ of 0.55.
Currently these are respectively $US324.90, US$1,450 and 0.56.
No additional capital would be required for the fine grinding case
since, although some additional equipment will be required, savings
will be made on other proposed equipment. A final decision on the
actual processing route to be installed will be made during the
coming months after testing is completed and whilst regulatory
approvals are being obtained.
Production is planned to commence by mid 2003.
RESOURCE POTENTIAL
The Company`s consultants have assessed as very high the potential
for discovering additional ore reserves close to the existing plant
and known orebodies.
The recently discovered MH Zone ore system, which is the basis of
this planned new mine, is open at depth and in both directions along
strike and may contain at least another 50% of the current reserves.
The MH Zone orebodies and the main historical centre of mining, the
Costerfield Mine, are located in a structural corridor up to 200
metres wide and at least 4000 metres long. They are separated by
about 2000 metres. The same structural features that control the
mineralisation at each of these deposits has been shown to be
extensive and almost certainly continues between and beyond the two
known ore systems.
Consequently there is a good potential for at least one other ore
system to be repeated within this structural corridor. A detailed
examination shows that very little exploration has been conducted
over this corridor apart from the MH Zone and the Costerfield Mine.
Thus there is very good potential for increases in ore reserves and
this could extend the project`s life beyond 10 years.
PROJECT FINANCING
It is the Directors` preferred option that shareholder equity in the
project be preserved and that further equity capital raising be
limited to conversion of the current options and that additional
funding for this project be provided by debt financing.
In the event that all of both classes of the current options
(expiring 30th June 2002) to subscribe for shares are exercised,
then funds amounting to approximately $3.6 Million would be available
to the Company. In the calculation of earnings per share above, it
has been assumed that there is a 100% conversion of the 1 cent
options.
The project`s development will be conditional on the Company`s
ability to raise the necessary funds and to obtain regulatory
approvals.

Na dann viel Glück mit Eurer A.G.D.

The Directors of AGD Mining Limited have received a technical report
from their geological advisers that has identified potential for
repetitions of reserves of the MH Zone gold and antimony
mineralisation at Costerfield, in central Victoria. The accompanying
plan of the Costerfield mineral field indicates that the structural
setting exists for an order of magnitude increase in resources.
The reserves of the MH Zone now exceed the historic production from
the Costerfield Mine 2 km to the north.
These two mineralised areas are located within a structural corridor
that extends for at least 4 km. The MH Zone and the Costerfield Mine
are separated by about 2 km with the corridor extending at least 1 km
beyond each of these ore systems. The Costerfield Structural Corridor
is at least 400 m wide.
The review of geochemical data over this structural area has
identified geochemical signatures similar to that which led to the
discovery of the MH Zone and there has as yet been no follow up work
to test these anomalies (see plan). Further, the central portion of
the corridor, which has the most promising structural setting, has
negligible geochemical data across it.
Geochemical and exploration drilling of the Costerfield Structural
Corridor, between the Costerfield Mine and the MH Zone, will commence
in the near future applying the techniques developed and experience
gained from the success of the MH Zone.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES
Highlights
* Decision made to ahead with new mine and processing plant at
Costerfield, Victoria
* Metallurgical work confirms process route for increasing gold
recovery
* Exploration potential of Costerfield upgraded
*
COSTERFIELD GOLD & ANTIMONY PROJECT
The directors decided in June to proceed with the development of a
new gold and antimony mine at Costerfield, in central Victoria, on
the basis of a comprehensive, but draft feasibility study completed
in April.
The feasibility study showed the capital cost of developing a shallow
underground mine on the newly-discovered MH Zone at Costerfield and
refurbishing and adding to the existing treatment plant would be a
relatively low $5 million.
Cash surplus would be between $3 million and $8 million annually
before interest, depreciation and tax, depending on the processing
route chosen and based on gold and antimony prices significantly
lower than current prices.
To support the decision to proceed, further metallurgical work was
undertaken, using samples gained from the successful drilling program
conducted over the past 12 months on the MH Zone discovery. This work
is aimed at recovering the maximum amount of gold from ore as bullion
and recovering the remaining gold in a high grade antimony
concentrate.
The samples have been subjected to conventional fine grinding and
passed through a Kelsey jig to recover the gold by conventional
gravity methods. Results so far indicate that a satisfactory recovery
rate of 70%-plus is possible with the remainder of the recovered gold
reporting to the antimony concentrate.
Further test work will need to be undertaken to confirm the results.
Plans are in hand to drill a number of wide diameter holes into the
vein system discovered in the MH Zone to obtain larger samples for
these tests. Quotes are being obtained for a trial shaft to gain
access to the orebody to obtain bulk samples for further testing.
While this work proceeds, the company intends to set in train the
approval processes to obtain all the necessary permits to start
development of the mine in the first half of 2003 at an initial
production rate of 50,000 tonnes of ore annually.
EXPLORATION
The exploration program was completed in the June quarter with the
drilling of a number of deep holes (to a maximum vertical depth of
180m) into the vein system in the MH Zone. The zone remains open to
the north and south along strike and extends beyond the depths
drilled to date. Proved and Possible Reserves of this zone have been
estimated at 290,000 tonnes grading 12g/t gold and 6.2% antimony,
suggesting a minimum six year mine life on that part of the MH zone
that has been drill-tested so far.
The exploration program concluded that, using the experience and
knowledge gained in the discovery of the MH Zone, there is potential
for further discoveries at Costerfield and that important sections of
the gold field remain unexplored.
The consulting geologists note that the structural corridor
containing the old Costerfield workings and the MH Zone discovery
extends for at least 4km and is 400m wide with what are now the two
main discoveries on the field separated by 2km of largely untested
ground. Their review of the geochemical data over this structural
area has identified geochemical signatures similar to and, in some
cases, returning higher grades than the anomaly which led to the
discovery of the MH zone multi-vein system.
The company intends this quarter to extend geochemical sampling
through this central portion of the corridor and to follow up leads
generated by the sampling with drill testing of selected targets.
This work is scheduled to commence in the September quarter.
CORPORATE
The company`s ordinary share options expired on 30 June, 2002. Of the
162.5 million options, 22.8 million were converted raising $228,489.
To continue AGD`s proposed exploration and to take the Costerfield
project to a debt funding stage, additional equity will need to be
raised. Directors are presently considering the best way of achieving
this and will inform shareholders when a decision is made.

Directors advise that they have resolved today to make a pro rata
issue of shares to shareholders on the basis of one new share for
every four shares held at a price of 0.7c per share. Each new share
will be issued with a free attaching option entitling the option
holder to subscribe for a further share at a price of 0.7c per share
at any time up to 31 March, 2003.
If fully subscribed the issue will raise $1,872,109. The funds raised
will be used to finance bulk metallurgical tests and trial mining of
the recently discovered MH Zone of high grade gold and antimony ore
at Costerfield in Central Victoria. The funds will also be used for
additional exploration at Costerfield, the purchase of land useful
for the proposed mining operation and to fund the permitting of the
proposed mining and processing operation.
The issue will also repay loans and provide working capital, until
the company determines the best method of funding the project.
Ordinary shareholders, who hold shares on the record date, will be
offered the opportunity to participate in the issue.
Rights will not be renounceable. Discussions are proceeding with
potential underwriters of the issue.
As previously advised, AGD has outlined proven and probable reserves
of 290,000 tonnes of ore grading 12g/t gold and 6.2% antimony in the
MH Zone of reef systems at Costerfield. A draft feasibility study has
shown that for a capital cost of $5 million, a new mine producing
50,000 tonnes of ore annually processed through an upgraded plant
would earn approximately $3 million annually before interest, tax,
depreciation and amortisation.
The feasibility study indicates that earnings could be increased
considerably by maximising gold recovery using conventional fine
grinding and gravity recovery methods. The additional metallurgical
work and trial mining will provide substantial confirmation of this
possibility.
A prospectus is now being prepared and will be sent to shareholders
shortly.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES
HIGHLIGHTS
* Surge in antimony price enhances development proposals
* Successful capital raising clears way for pre-development work
* Approval process initiated
COSTERFIELD GOLD & ANTIMONY PROJECT
Two mining licences held by the company in the Costerfield area of
Central Victoria were renewed during the quarter and application was
made for a new mining licence to cover the portal site of the
proposed decline to access the high grade MH Zone gold and antimony
deposit.
Work programs were designed and approved for a new exploration
campaign and for pre-development drilling of the MH Zone for final
metallurgical test work. Four large diameter coreholes are planned to
obtain bulk samples for further metallurgical testing of ore from the
MH Zone while plans have been drawn up for drilling of a test shaft,
when the new mining licence application is granted.
A new exploration campaign will centre on targets outlined in the
June quarter and will be aimed at increasing resources beyond the
proven and probable reserves of the MH Zone which stand at 290,000
tonnes grading 12g/t gold and 6.2% antimony.
AGD`s consulting geologist has estimated there is potential for a
major increase in resources in the structural corridor that extends
for at least 4km through the mining leases and hosts the MH Zone
discovery and the historic workings at Costerfield, 2km to the north.
The new campaign will include geochemical surveys to test the
sparsely explored area between the two deposits and follow up diamond
drilling. Further diamond drilling is also planned to seek the
northern limits of the MH Zone which has been drilled over a strike
length of 400m and remains open to the north, south and at depth.
Considerable work was undertaken to initiate the approval process for
the company`s proposed mine development and upgrading of the existing
gold processing plant that is on site at Costerfield.
METAL MARKETS
Antimony metal prices rose dramatically during the quarter, opening
at $US1,425 per tonne ($A2,590 at an exchange rate of $A1=$US0.55)
and topping $US3,000 per tonne ($A5,454) in October and reflecting a
reduction in mine output in China.
The reduction has been caused by the collapse of two mines in
Guangxi, China`s main antimony mining region, and the closure of
other smaller mines. Trade press reports suggest that it will take
considerable time to re-open the mines, if it is possible to do so.
The reports also indicate that Chinese export approvals have been cut
from 80,000 tonnes to 70,000 tonnes although the likelihood is that
only 30,000 tonnes of antimony will be available for export over the
next 12 months.
China normally supplies about 80,000 tonnes to the world market,
which is estimated to be between 110,000 and 120,000 tonnes annually.
The situation in China is expected to give intending producers such
as AGD a window of opportunity. Approaches have been received from
antimony chemical producers and merchants about the company`s
proposed production.
At current prices proposed production of 6,500 tonnes of Antimony
concentrates annually would contribute two thirds of prospective
revenue, and proposed gold production of 21,000 ounces annually would
contribute on third of revenue. Gold traded in the range of US$303 to
US$326 an ounce for the quarter.
FINANCIAL
The company`s pro rata issue to shareholders closed in October having
raised the $1.8 million sought to fund the pre-development and
exploration work planned through to April, 2003.
CORPORATE
Agreements have been reached to acquire the freehold land on which it
is proposed to sink a decline to develop a mine on the MH Zone and
other properties on the mining leases.

New drilling campaigns at Costerfield Gold Project

The Directors advise that two drilling programmes are to be
undertaken at Costerfield over the months of December 2002 and
January 2003 with the view to defining new near surface gold targets
and add high-grade/high recovery oxide reserves to the Company`s new
MH Zone gold deposits.
A 500 hole plus geochemical drill programme will commence on the 3rd
December 2002, and is designed to define additional near surface gold
targets along the 2.5 kilometre main shear zone linking the old main
workings at Costerfield and the new MH discovery to the south of
Costerfield. A detailed examination shows that very little modern day
exploration has been conducted over this main corridor apart from the
MH Zone, which proved successful with the discovery of 290,000 tonnes
grading 12g/t gold and 6.2% antimony. The Company believes there is
good potential for discovery of new gold mineralisation along this
main trend, which would provide additional mine life to the planned
Costerfield operations.
A 15 hole diamond drill programme is also scheduled to begin on the
6th January 2003. The majority of these drill holes are designed to
test the upper, oxidised portions of the MH Zone and extend the near
surface strike lengths of the 3 orebodies comprising the MH deposit.
AGD`S COSTERFIELD GOLD PROJECT UPDATE
AGD has a fully permitted 150,000 tpy CIP gold treatment plant and
associated operating facilities at Costerfield, situated 1.2km from
its new 120,000 ounce MH gold deposit.
The Company has just been granted Mining Licence MIN 5380, covering
the proposed site for the MH Zone underground access portal. The
granting of this MIN is significant; as it now enables AGD to submit
its proposed work plans to the Victorian Government as a precursor to
commencement of mining operations scheduled for mid 2003.
An independent mining consulting group has been appointed to review
work to date and assist AGD in the permitting process and reviewing
ways of getting Costerfield into production within the time schedules
set by the board.

AGD Mining Limited ("AGD") is pleased to announce the following
results from its recent geochemical exploration efforts at
Costerfield in central Victoria.
HIGHLIGHTS:
* Results from the 574 air core holes over sections of the 3.5 km
potential mineralised Costerfield corridor has outlined four further
exploration targets for gold/antimony mineralisation.
* Assay results above 30 ppb Au are regarded as anomalous for the
Costerfield corridor. Results of up to 340 ppb Au, 1,300 ppb As and
700ppb Sb were recorded, in this programme. Assays up to 2.8 g/tAu
were recorded in the quartz laterite horizon in the Prince of Wales
zone, situated about 100 metres east of the main Costerfield
corridor.
* Previous geochemical exploration on the Costerfield corridor
resulted in the discovery of the Augusta Gold Project (previously
called the MH Zone). This exploration programme has now extended the
Augusta mineralisation some 80 metres further south from the southern
most diamond drill hole, giving a potential strike zone of a minimum
of 500 metres.
* The Augusta mineralisation is still open on strike to the south and
has not been closed off to the north.
* Gold/antimony mineralisation has also identified two possible
extensions of mineralisation some 500 metres south of the main
historic Costerfield workings in areas not previously mined.
The geochemical exploration was designed to test the bedrock "C"
horizon on line spacing of about 400 metres with holes drilled along
the lines on 5m hole centres.
The purpose of this geochemical programme was to define additional
near surface gold targets along the 3.5 kilometre main shear zone

and extend the near surface strike lengths of the Augusta`s three
orebodies.

Kurssturz (in SYD) gesehen.
aufnimmt.

AUGUSTA GOLD PROJECT SUMMARY
The Augusta Gold Project (formerly called the MH Zone) is 100% owned
by A.G.D. Mining and is located in the southern parts of AGD`s ground
position at Costerfield in Victoria, AUSTRALIA. The Augusta Zone is
located 1.2 km from the Company`s treatment plant. Current gold and
antimony resources are 290,000 tonnes grading 12 g/t Au and 6.2%
antimony. The resource estimates are based on a mining width of 1.2
metres and therefore include mining dilution.
J Debrodt
COMPANY SECRETARY
Footnote: The gold equivalence referred to above is based on
commodity prices of $US350 per ounce for gold and $US2,400 per tonne
for antimony metal. The resource estimate for the Augusta Gold
Project has been categorised based on the September 1999 edition of
the Australasian Code for Reporting of Mineral Resources and Ore
Reserves (The JORC Code). The resource estimation study has been
carried out by Graeme Weber, the Company`s geological consultant, who
is a Corporate Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and
Metallurgy, and is a "Competent Person", as detailed in the JORC
Code.
