Centrex Announces Micronics Development Agreement; Company Expanding Efforts to Introduce Bio-Threat Detection System

TULSA, Okla., Jun 3, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Centrex, Inc. (OTCBB:CNEX) today announced that it has signed a development agreement with Redmond, Washington-based Micronics, Inc. to design and develop disposable, multipurpose microfluidics lab cards that incorporate Centrex`s single molecule nucleic acid detection ("SMD) technology.

Centrex`s SMD technology has been exclusively licensed from Los Alamos National Laboratories and represents advantages over existing DNA and RNA detection methods as well as culture-based test methods. The technology eliminates the need for amplification of the target DNA, which reduces the possibility of false positive and negative test results -- common concerns identified with others test procedures. Centrex`s detection system is designed to be adaptable to the detection of a variety of bacterial or viral organisms by recognizing the unique DNA or RNA fingerprint of the organism.

Centrex plans to focus on the commercialization of a first product that provides a simultaneous multi-channel detection system that is compact, fully automated and capable of monitoring the presence of biological agents in air, food and water. Potential additional applications for the Centrex technology include bioterrorism and Homeland Security, food and water processing, blood supply screening, and general DNA/RNA testing.

Under the agreement, Centrex has retained Micronics, Inc, to provide custom lab card design, development and prototypes systems. The proposed lab card for the Centrex system is expected to include fully automated on-card sample preparation, mixing, separation, and analysis. Reagent and waste storage also are designed to be on card for ease of use and disposal.

Micronics is believed to offer the most sophisticated and rapid lab card prototyping facility in the world today, including an extensive materials and designs library. Micronics is capable of producing over 40,000 prototype lab cards per year in its Class 10000 facility. Micronics also is considered the world leader in the use of thin film laminates and injection molding solutions in lab card development.

Die Meldung ist doch gar nicht so interessant.Vielmehr zählt die Meldung (die bald kommen sollte) über das SARS-Frühwarnsystem.
Dann sind es aber etwas mehr als nur 20%.
Dann könnte man mit Kursen um die 1$ rechnen.

Glaube nicht,das Du die heute schon siehst.Bei Meldungen von Centrex reagiert der Kurs meistens erst immer 2 Tage später..wäre also morgen der Fall.
Wir werden ja sehen,was die Amis uns heute bescheren.
Aber Du hast recht,meinetwegen kann es heute schon 20% nach oben gehen,aber ich glaube halt nicht dran.

bin auch schon ne Weile bei Centrex dabei, aber irgendwie gehts nicht so richtig ab. Die News sind gut, die Homepage ist gut (sogar in deutsch) nur der Kurs nervt.

Wann denkt ihr das hier mal was losgeht...??

Hallo,

hab heute aufgrund der "super Performence" mal an die IE Abteilung von Centrex geschrieben. Wenn es keine befriedigende Antwort gibt (ich werde sie hier posten) fliegt Centrex aus meinem Depot. Centrex ist die einzigste Aktie mit der ich im Minus bin und da ich dummerweise bei Centrex sehr stark investiert bin kann ich hier kein weiteren Verlust hinnehmen.

Wie ist eure Meinung zu Centrex??

gibt es etwas neues?

der ceo "has been named Chairman of the Board of the Homeland Security Technology Council (HSTC)." diese meldung hatte keinerlei auswirkung auf den kurs. des weiteren soll die centrex dieser tage in einem bericht in usa-today erwähnt worden sein bzw. soll noch erwähnt werden. ich bin mittelfristig daher gute dinge.

was mich stört, ist, dass es zwischenzeitlich eine in deutschland gelistete reg-s gibt. was soll denn das nun wieder? hier wird wohl eine pushertruppe den kurs treiben wollen...
