Wood Products, Inc. - Acquisition delayed
RICHMOND, BC, June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - (OTCBB: WPRO) - Wood
Products, Inc. has been informed that the proposed acquisition of certain
power generating and infrastructure entities in Mainland China by Wood
Products, Inc. has been delayed. CITIC Securities, who is acting as the
financial advisor to the Municipal State Assets Supervisory Commission, has
informed the merger candidate and the candidate`s counsel that the framework
agreement (including subsequent supplements to same) that the proposed merger
candidate has entered into with the Municipal authorities has been extended.
According to representatives of CITIC Securities, the government has stated
that the agreements remain in effect and have been extended.
Wood Products has asked for a complete due diligence package, including a
detailed description of the asset base being acquired. Wood Products has also
requested a draft purchase agreement and a report on the status of the
required audit.

(OTCBB: WPRO - News, news - News), today announces that the company`s board of directors has approved a name change of the company from Wood Products, Inc. to China Industrial Corporation. The name change will be completed following approval by shareholders at a special meeting of shareholders that will be held to formalize the name change. The company intends to solicit proxies for the meeting, and additional details will be announced as they become available.

The name change is intended to better reflect the company`s previously announced strategic objective of developing a diversified portfolio in China`s rapidly developing economy, through acquisition of certain carefully chosen dynamic industrial enterprises.
