ANALYSE: Prudential senkt bei OSI Pharmaceuticals Verlustprognose - `Neutral`
NEW YORK - Prudential hat das Kursziel für den Pharmahersteller OSI Pharmaceuticals von 54 auf 72 Dollar angehoben und seine Verlustprognosen deutlich gesenkt. In einer am Freitag in New York vorgelegten Studie bestätigte Pharma Analyst John Sonnier die Aktie auf "Neutral". Das OSI-Medikament Tarceva profitiere von der in einer Studie nachgewiesenen geringeren Wirksamkeit des Konkurrenzproduktes Iressa von Astrazeneca.

Für das Geschäftsjahr 2005 (30. September) rechnet der Experte mit 1,81 Dollar Verlust je Aktie, nachdem er bislang 2,79 Dollar prognostiziert hatte. Für 2006 erwartet er 0,47 Dollar Verlust. Zuvor hatte er 93 Cent Verlust je Aktie erwartet.

Er sei überrascht, dass das Astra-Medikament die Überlebensrate bei Krebspatienten nicht deutlich steigere, nachdem das von OSI entwickelte Medikament Tarceva in Studien positiv abgeschnitten habe. "Während Tarceva und Iressa bei Tumoren ähnlich angeschlagen haben, zeigte nur Tarceva (gegenüber einer Vergleichsgruppe) höhere Überlebenschancen", sagte Sonnier. Dies zeige, dass Wirksamkeit und Überleben der Erkrankung nicht notwendigerweise zusammenhingen. Steigende Verschreibungszahlen bei Tarceva sollten OSI und Genentech DNA.NYS GT6.FSE , die das Medikament gemeinsam vermarkten, gleichermaßen nutzen.

Der Aktienexperte bestätigte die Aktie auf "Neutral" und sagte der Aktie damit auf Sicht von zwölf bis achtzehn Monaten einen durchschnittlichen Gesamtertrag voraus. Als Renditemaßstab zog er andere von ihnen beobachtete Titel heran. Seinen Kunden riet er, bei einem Kurs in den niedrigen Sechszigern verstärkt einzusteigen./so/sk
