S3 Investment Company Executive VP Arrives in China

TEMECULA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2005--S3 Investment Company, Inc. (OTCBB:SEIH - News) today announced that executive vice-president Bradley Smith has embarked upon a two-week trip to China where he will meet with management of S3`s portfolio investments, SINO UJE, Ltd. and Redwood Capital, Inc., and receive progress reports on the companies` revenue growth during the current quarter.

"The primary purpose for my trip to China is to receive detailed information on the current operations of Redwood Capital and SINO UJE, so that S3 Investments can continue to provide whatever resources are needed to further the impressive growth that these companies have achieved in recent months," commented Mr. Smith upon his arrival in Beijing. "In addition to this overarching goal, there are several specific tasks that we will complete during this trip. First, I will work with the Redwood Capital management team to expand its staff at the Beijing registered office. Interviews are scheduled for my first week in China, and we have a highly qualified pool of applicants from which to choose. I am extremely optimistic that our new hires will play an integral part in the ongoing growth of Redwood Capital.

"In the ten months since its acquisition by S3, Redwood Capital has rapidly developed a highly effective system to target and reach agreement with investment banking clients that are now in the process of entering the U.S. capital markets, as well as several additional opportunities that are currently in the pipeline. The second week of Mr. Smith`s visit will be devoted to the company`s SINO UJE portfolio investment with a focus on the expansion of SINO`s supplier base. SINO UJE has seen an increased demand for western designed and manufactured high-tech products in China and a greater number of prospective buyers are contacting the company for information on the products SINO distributes.

"Not only has the demand grown in China, but the investment capital that S3 has provided has also increased SINO UJE`s purchasing power and allowed it to fill a greater number of orders, expanding the company`s revenues this year. There are new opportunities that we will discuss to Managing Director Li Jun during our visit that we expect to further increase SINO`s purchasing power, its financial flexibility and, ultimately, its revenues," added Mr. Smith.
