Ein schöner Ueberblick aus einem Uk-Board:
A reminder of what may be in the forthcoming RNS due on or around 31/12/10.The Russians compiled a resource estimate for La India concession back in 1991. CNR have worked hard to digitalise (hopefully) all of this report before passing the data over to SRK so that they can calculate a maiden JORC resource. I am hoping that all the data was finished in time, but obviously if less than all of the data was presented to SRK, due to the limited time available, then the JORC figures will be lower in the first instance, but the remainder will be added at a later date. The old Russian classifications (C1, C2 & P1) can be converted to JORC as follows: C1 - one third equates to Measured and two thirds equates to Indicated. C2 - one third equates to Indicated and two thirds equates to Inferred. P1 - one third equates to Inferred and two thirds equates to unclassified (needs further drilling/trenching to prove it up to a higher standard). Of the 1.84 million oz resource at La India 709,000 oz falls into the more robust C1 + C2 categories, the remainder is P1. If this is verified by the prudent SRK then using the one third to two thirds ratio gives us an expected JORC resource of c.91,248 oz in the Measured category, 329,411 oz in the Indicated category and 665,341 oz in the Inferred category for a total JORC resource of 1,086,000 oz. Using the Edison report and updating the values of gold to reflect the current gold price it is reasonable to assume the following values: Measured = £263/oz, Indicated = £123/oz and Inferred = £26/oz. This means that the JORC figures assumed above equate to £81,814,643. When you divide that sum by the number of shares in issue (492m) it gives you a fair value per share of 16.6p. Of course with further drilling more of the 1.84m oz La India resource will hopefully be proved up to a higher level (adding more value to the sp). Furthermore, it may be significant that SRK have other (subsequent) data to look at, including 28 diamond drilled core samples produced by a Canadian company after 1996. This may allow for more of the resource to fall into the 'Measured' category. In addition, some authorities on the matter believe that it is appropriate to convert all of the C1 category to 'measured' and it may be that I have been too conservative. If all of the C1 category is converted to Measured then we may see as much as 250,000 oz in that category, which would provide substantial additional upside to the sp. Don't forget that we may also get a maiden resource for El Rodeo in the near future and early next year CNR will probably engage SRK again to look at the already digitalised data relating to 6250 metres of diamond drilling previously undertaken on the Rio Luna concession on just 2.5km of the concession's total of 18km of epithermal veining. This may lead to another 0.5 to 1.0 million oz being added (hopefully including Measured and Indicated given the high quality of the data) to the total by the middle of n
