@JayHotCopper: I'm sure they know a great deal that they have not announced. But not all of it is information that they can or should announce, for sure.
But they do know how things are progressing at the LAMP, both in terms of how Phase 1 is working, how Phase 2 is progressing, if the previously-untried process is all working to plan, if there has been more output since that first - and only - announcement that samples had been produced. Etc etc.
Then we have Mt Weld - everyone seems to have forgotten that - how are things progressing there? Duncan deposit - anything happening there?
Have there been further shipments successfully made to the LAMP? Are they having any problems with SMSL in terms of protests against shipments or at the LAMP?
There are a lot of things that it would be good for shareholders to know, by way of shareholder updates. Just to keep us in the loop - you know, as part owners of the company...!
Many - if not most - other companies on the ASX do provide regular shareholder updates or other announcements along the way between quarterlies. And Lynas, being in a transition phase, should be doing that even more than most.
But - nothing. And if you call them to inquire how your investment is going, you get treated with contempt. I don't know how many others here have actually called and spoken to the company - I have, on many occasions over the years. But the two most recent calls have involved a real attitude of contempt for shareholders, and I've basically been told to get stuffed, the quarterly will be out when it's out, and just wait.
Not good enough, for me. They employ a shareholder relations department - hah..! They don't HAVE shareholder relations - except perhaps with the big institutions. The smaller retail shareholders are just a nuisance to them - even though I hold a large number of shares, probably more than most on here. But not enough to put me into the Top 20, although not far below it.
So it is not just the lack of information that concerns me, it is also the attitude they seem to be developing (or worsening) towards their retail shareholders.

Have Rare Earth Prices Bottomed Out?
Thursday May 30, 2013, 4:30am PDT
By Andrew Topf - Exclusive to Rare Earth Investing News
Rare earth producers may have nothing but blue sky to look forward to after several months of gloomy weather, metaphorically speaking, regarding stagnant rare earth oxide (REO) prices.

Instead of picking Malaysia, these car manufacturers have picked Thailand to set up their operations. The Malaysian government then has to attract companies like Lynas to set up their operations in populated towns. So, Mustapa, before you say anything, think twice!

Also mein Haus, mein Sportwagen, mein Rennpferd, mein Dysprosium...
Habt Ihr schon geordert?
