Harris Exploration Inc. Announces Advanced Zone Discovery

GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 30, 2007 -- Harris Exploration Inc. (Other OTC:HXPN.PK - News) advises that closer analysis by staff Engineers from Cristal Minera partners have identified a previously undetected porphyry Copper/Gold zone on the Balsapamba property.

After a recent, informal sampling program on the property, an analysis was made with data extracted from the 200+ page "Report on the Mineral Exploration in the Bolivar Area, Republic of Ecuador" commissioned in 1991 by the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Metal Mining Agency of Japan. The collaborated information gives positive indication of a previously undetected zone, which might complete a trend that runs completely through the Balsapamba property. A more thorough investigation is being discussed with management and it is proposed a full sampling, trenching and drill program can be initiated immediately.

With earlier indications of significant copper/gold concentration, along with this latest information, it is surmised that a more advanced sampling, trenching and drill program in this new area will provide a more accurate and professional analysis of the prospect of this advanced zone.

Just prior to this recent discovery, the original four Balsapamba zones revealed substantial mineral indications of Copper, suggesting that the property could have commercial potential. With this new discovery Management continues to be highly optimistic on the ability to confirm a significant Copper/Gold belt within the borders of the Balsapamba property.

The Balsapamba property: is located near the city of San Miguel, in the Province of Bolivar. To date the property has been exploited and explored. Trenching and sampling have been performed previously and the property had, until recently, been subdivided into four mineralized zones.
